The Nets getting clobbered by the Raptors right now. James Harden is once again looking terrible. Between the Nets and the Lakers losing games, and LeBron James sitting around tweeting about football instead of his team’s struggles is definitely not where I saw this season going. I can only hope we see a good matchup in the Finals and that these struggles for both teams are temporary.

In spite of having a better record, the Lakers are 5.5 point underdogs today vs the Portland Trailblazers. This seems like it could be a turning point for them. If they win, they’ll show they can beat decent teams and improve their record to 6-4. If they lose, it’s back to a .500 team working through growing pains. It’s still early in the season, but I’d like to see them win tonight, even if they are short handed.
6943  Economy / Speculation / [Poll] If this happens, is it time to sell your Bitcoin? on: November 06, 2021, 10:21:11 AM
With some people starting to talk about double tops and calling Bitcoin’s ATH in the rear view, do you think it’s time to sell if we don’t see the stock to flow $100K target hit in December?

With other bubbles in 2013 & 2017 being in December, do you sell next month no matter what happens?

Is it different this time? Will there be no bear market?

The Clippers have been quietly riding Paul George to some victories lately. I was ready to count them out this year with Kawhi being injured but he’s playing the best he has in years. He got 21-11-6 on 4-20 shooting tonight and managed to help secure a 20 point win even while shooting 20% from the field. I honestly think the Clippers look like the best team in Los Angeles at the moment (I’m sure that will change).

6946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 05, 2021, 10:27:14 PM
I agree that this is a staged fight and the result will not be determined in the ring, but rather will be written by producers outside of it. But I would be interested to know at what age Tyson his chances would be obviously lower than Paul? 60 years? 65? With the condition that Paul is at the present age and does not age.
Tyson has not fought Paul yet, it's hard to just guess because Logan Paul is also well conditioned although he has not won a fight yet. We should not be too hype with the popularity of Tyson, remember, he is not young anymore and his power in boxing is probably gone.

Yes, if we talk about professional boxing, then the power is really gone, but to knock Paul out you don't need a monstrous blow (as is the case with any ordinary person) you only need technique and the right place to apply force. The only question is whether Mike will be quick enough to do it, and Paul is not careful enough to miss such a trick. If we take purely physical capabilities, then I would consider Paul to be the favorite. The problem is that after a couple of missed hits, physical capabilities become significantly weaker  Cheesy

I'm not sure I'd say the power is gone.  I wouldn't line up to take a punch from Mike Tyson.  Have you seen his recent workout videos?  I am 100% certain Tyson hits harder now than I have ever been able to in my entire life and I've put some people on the mat in my time...  It won't take much for Tyson to knock him out in my opinion.  The question is if he'll be able to do it before he gets fatigued, and if the rules even allow for him to deliver a knockout blow.  It's quite possible he won't be allowed to punch with all his strength.  That being said, would you trust Mike Tyson and step in the ring with him because he says he won't knock you out?  I sure as hell wouldn't.  As soon as Logan lands a nice shot Tyson will be seeing red.  I think this will likely be the last fight of Logan's career.

So what do you think guys, do these odds would attract bettors?
It is not a surprise that Mike Tyson is a heavy favorite and there is no point in betting for the favorite but i would like to see any bookies giving a draw line and what would be the odds for that. I might place a bet on a draw for fun as most of the exhibition fights ends up in a draw. You never know what would happen, logically Mike Tyson should smoke Logan Paul but Tyson is 55 years and what happens if he pulls a muscle during the bout looking for the knockout  Cheesy.

I don’t even know what gambling on this fight would look like. Are they going to allow knockouts even? Will a winner be announced if there is a knockout? Will a winner even be announced under any circumstance? I’m not sure if they even have the rules straight yet, but if there are stipulations to the fight, I can only assume that they’ll all be there to hurt Tyson’s chances.
6948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 05, 2021, 09:02:10 PM
Tonight it looks like we’ve got a doubleheader on ESPN. Bucks and the Knicks in the first game and then the Warriors and the Pelicans. Without Zion I don’t think the Pelicans have much of a shot, nor is that game one is want to watch. Similarly, the Bucks and Knicks aren’t 2 teams I get excited to watch. Curry has been on his game though, so maybe he’ll provide some entertainment.
6949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 05, 2021, 05:40:53 AM
The Lakers with another embarrassing loss tonight. OKC is tanking and they managed to beat them… Seeing the Lakers struggle against the worst teams in the league like this is a pretty bad sign. I’m not seeing any real improvement. I don’t understand why Dwight Howard is only getting a couple minutes a game either. It seems like they aren’t very concerned with winning at the moment.
6950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JP Morgan believes Bitcoin is Overpriced on: November 04, 2021, 10:28:32 PM
That report is embarrassing.  It's behind a paywall and your numbers aren't really correct compared to what was stated in the report, so it's a bit misleading.  From seeing the report, it was blatantly obvious they were just throwing out numbers.  They 'basically' said Bitcoin is going to be somewhere between $30K and $200K so it might be a good time to buy or sell.  I honestly couldn't think of a more useless conclusion and the fact that they felt the need to send this to clients right now is a bit telling.  They aren't totally wrong though if you consider that they're more-less saying we're headed for a bubble, so keep in mind that Bitcoin is only worth $30K when it hits $200K and don't be a buyer.  I think you'd have to have enough knowledge about what's to come in order to understand their speech though.
6951  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How much is this coin worth? on: November 04, 2021, 10:20:13 PM
Thanks for the info. Only 8 sales means the coin is pretty rare.

I don't know if I'd say that if the listing price is in the thousands of dollars.  More likely this product is being targeted at sleep deprived crypto users with too much BTC who mistake the 1.0 description as it being loaded with an actual Bitcoin.  They probably think they're getting too good of a deal to pass up or maybe English isn't their first language and they snatch it immediately after the misunderstanding.  The seller probably discovered he can make way more money posing this as an actual crypto coin and tricking people than selling them for $20 a piece, so that's the route he's gone.  Just my guess, but probably not too far off.
6952  Economy / Collectibles / Re: To Escrow or Not to Escrow? on: November 04, 2021, 10:11:22 PM
Without seeing the names it's difficult to tell if this is a man-in-the-middle scam attempt, or if you're really dealing with a questionable seller.  Either way, escrow is advised, especially if it is a $5,000 purchase (for smaller purchases it makes more sense to deal direct).  I've saved countless members here from losing funds with my escrow service, and they've all been quite thankful to lose only their escrow gift in the process (although the scammers aren't as happy to lose out and spend their lives trying to punish me through their real accounts).

So at first glance I'd say it sounds like someone is trying to pull a MITM scam on you, and you should verify that the account you're receiving PMs from is the account that was offering the sale and not a look-alike.  The change of address is a pretty good sign that it isn't the same user.  Either way, don't send a stranger thousands of dollars in non-reversible currency, especially if their reputation isn't worth that much.
6953  Economy / Speculation / Re: New All Time High Baby! - $66,974.77 on: November 04, 2021, 09:49:58 AM
have we all thought when everyone reads news everywhere about $100k, people will be careful when they touch it where they will go get profit before $100k, I think that is our main goal but people will be careful to take a step away before $100k, this news and analysis is already all over the place so I'm still wary about that anytime bitcoin is going down and the cautious people are going to walk away making a profit, but congrats on the new ATH
We are all just speculating here so it's not bad to take your profit if you have the chance. At least you earned if ever Bitcoin goes pump or dump either way you still have your profit and that's enough whether you hodl the rest for too long it's fine. It's not bad to be cautious since the market is volatile so we can't expect what people are speculating will happen, always reconsider the possibility that it might dump before attaining a $100k.

Actually this is ideal thing to do and never think about waste profit if the market still pumping since we need to think profit is profit since if we think more than that for sure we will end up become greedy and next to that will be bagholding or getting panic for certain correction will happen. Also after we get our capital back then we can decide to roll our profit or hold the amount we get then see if we will be lucky if bitcoin reach at $100k.
I think the fundamental thing that's affects the price of the market in the aspect of volatility is the market is a subject of speculation and manipulation. Moreso, the best thing to do this time is to take out the capital and some profit because I hear the end of the year is always bloody.

From my personal point of view, you are almost better off waiting too long than not long enough to sell.  When the bubble happens, you want to be riding that wave upward with everyone else.  The gains look great now, but if BTC shoots up to $450K you'll feel like a fool for selling and cashing in the gains.  The opposite could also happen and BTC could fall to $2K and you'd wish you had cashed it out, but I think the danger currently is missing out to the upside.  If people are unsure what to do, the right move when it comes to investing is almost always do nothing.  If doing nothing isn't your style, slowly cashing out on a schedule instead of all at once is not a bad option.
6954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 04, 2021, 09:46:55 AM
Look at the warriors, they keep rolling with another big win against Charlotte.

I watched the game and was thinking that Charlotte could pull an upset as they get close in the 4th quarter, but too unfortunate for them as that was a short-lived chance because the warriors did not allow them, and the warriors made a big run to finish the game.

Jordan Poole made 31 points, I think that was spectacular, it's not all about Curry alone, this Warriors players are trusting each other, even the young guns are contributing. Warriors are now 6-1 tied with Utah Jazz who is at the number 1 spot.

JP3 already had the potential, he just really needed to improve his decision making, I actually like how Curry and Draymond are to the young guys, not putting any pressure and hyping them up, I like how Curry doesn't use his accolades as something to put pressure on his teammates, JP3 could potentially be the next all-star for GSW, let's not forget the high school star rookies, Moody and Kuminga.

Impressive for sure.  Wiseman is coming back soon and I saw Klay putting up shots today...  The Warriors might end up being much better than I've given them credit for.  If Wiseman has continued to develop from last year and Klay comes back close to his normal self, they might be a #3 seed in the west.  I also read an interesting rumor that Dame has been trying hard to force Blazers management into a trade for Draymond Green.  No idea why Dame thinks Draymond is the missing piece the Blazers need, but it seems like that's the rumor being pushed at the moment.  No idea how that trade would look.

This is why you should make sure that you don’t have access to your coins. There are people in this world who will take your life for $50. You can take every security precaution available and still be at risk. I have a similar take on passwords. I have no idea what my bitcointalk password is, so I’ll never have it stolen from me by force because I don’t know it. The downside to this plan being that a pissed off criminal might murder you anyway, or make it look like you drowned.
6956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul on: November 04, 2021, 12:54:59 AM
Jake Paul is really good when he is facing decent fighters and he is much better than Logan Paul in terms of boxing skills, need to check the rest of the details.
although I agree that Jake Paul is a better fighter than his brother, I am yet to see him fight a decent fighter. his previous opponent only fought once and only fought him for money(which is obvious).

I have high hopes that Tommy Furry will knock out Jake Paul in this fight.

I’m not sure which one of them is the better fighter. Logan has faced Mayweather, but that was a way underweight fighter. KSI probably wasn’t as good as Jake’s last opponent so there’s evidence Jake is better. I think both brothers have reached the point where they are in over their heads now. I think Fury & Mike Tyson are going to knock both of them out. That hopefully ends this boxing sideshow, but we’ll see…
6957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 04, 2021, 12:51:29 AM
Harden looks awful out there. 3 points in the first half and I’m not sure I’ve seen the guy break into a run yet. It’s pretty crazy how out of shape he got in one offseason. He’s like the opposite of Kobe Bryant. I’d love to hear Kobe’s opinion on the effort Harden is giving the NBA these last couple years. It’s almost disrespectful to the rest of the league’s players who take their job seriously.

I wanted to circle back to a complaint I had made a while back. The site wasn’t letting me place single bets using my browser. This caused me to have to only place multi-bets and reduced my options significantly as a result. Well, I can proudly report that this bug has been fixed and everything is working great now with single bets. Thanks Stake for looking into and resolving this issue.

Bulls game was amazing, they really played a great offense and everyone focuses on that but they played amazing defence as well. By comparison Celtics had nearly 30-35 point 3 quarters if I am not calculating wrong, and they ended up with only 11 points on the fourth quarter. Sure there are times when players have bad stretches but a whole team who have been amazing suddenly becoming bad doesn't happen against bad defensive teams, Bulls really locked them down very well. Aside from the defensive clamp, Derozan played amazingly as well.

I am a Spurs fan and I kept saying that dude became even better than his Toronto years, wasn't a perfect fit but that dude keeps improving each and every single year.

The Bulls probably made the best offseason moves of any team.  I really like the team they've assembled and think they'll have their best year since Rose's MVP season this year.  I also think with no LeBron in the east this is probably the best chance they'll have at making the Finals since Jordan left...  Did I mention I like the team they assembled?

Tonight it's looking like somewhat of a boring TV night for the NBA with most of the games not being televised for me.  However, it does seem like a Lakers/Bucks parlay will give you a little return without too much risk tonight.  Might make the evening a bit more palatable.
6960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 02, 2021, 08:05:35 AM
There is no way Logan Paul is going to win the fight against Mike Tyson even though he is in his mid 50s .

True, Logan Paul can not win Tyson by himself. But the judges can help him to do it. All he has to do is to close Tyson in ropes or corner, do at least one dazing punch and the rest of punches in the block. As this is an exhibition fight, and "nobody wants to really hurt anyone", judges can make an early stoppage, as they "save old man from beating". Judges can ruin this fight easily.

Logan is in pretty good shape and Mike is pretty old. I want to see him kick Logan’s ass as much as the next guy, but maybe the age thing will be an issue. Tyson will have weight on him too, and I think people aren’t looking at that enough. I think Mike will either get gassed and look terrible after the second round, or he’ll knock Logan out. Still no official announcement from either camp on the fight…
