Updating masternodes to 26 without any issues here.

Yep, everything is great over here, no issues whatsoever, works great!

Can confirm, Masternodes and pools are updated. All is well.

(Please for the love of god , do not release a .27 today)

Lets keep it at 26  Grin

Amen to that, even with my nifty 1-click updater.  Grin

no activity on github after the 10.12.26 update of 2 hrs ago .. so it look like .26 is here to stay for now.

What is going on with denominations? Wallet is taking 0.001drk every 5-10 minutes, puts my coins to unconfirmed and them back to total balance. Anonymused is 0. Is this how it is supposed to work?   Undecided

check your version !! is it version 10.12.26 ??

camo: SSD or HD?
SSD are no good choose for a backup. Use a real HD when possible.
A magnetic, encrypted 500GB USB 3.0 and an 8GB encrypted micro USB. Wallet.dat files became unreadable at random.

2 were recovered on my laptop so far.

Something has gone tragically wrong and I don't think it has anything to do with the DRK client.  My xubuntu has gone mad with impossible shit that makes no sense...

take a look here : https://darkcointalk.org/threads/corrupt-masternode-walet-after-rc3-soft-fork.1601/page-5

i dont know what the result in the end was, maybe flare remembers it ..

Number of MN operating on last update 10.12.26 :  138 (some 700 MN's to go)
http://drk.poolhash.org/masternode.html
this is from Chaeplin (El Presidente)

So hang in there guys till more MN's have switched to the latest update.

edit : damn, those MN's that are updated already are getting some nice MN rewards right now, with the number of MN's
so low...

sorry, i have .26 synced... how can i start anonymization proces?? by command or what

Automated process, just keep an eye out on your transactions .. it starts with a payment to yrself of 0 drk followed by
Darksend Denominate transactions with fees of 0.001

It can take awhile as the Master Nodes needs to update to v10.12.26 (a new update just a few minutes old) first.

lets repeat this info every few pages (below info is updated for  v9.12.26 / 10.12.26) :

Quote from Evan : https://darkcointalk.org/threads/rc4-launch.2033/

Hello Everyone,

We're happy to announce that RC4 is now available for download.

This update includes a complete rewrite of the Darksend protocol, which vastly improves transaction privacy and removes the 10 DRK limit for Darksend transactions.
Please read this statement carefully as there are some new features in the RC4 wallet GUI that you need to know about before using it. Links to binaries and source are included at the end.

Information about changes to the functionality of Darksend in RC4 can be found here:

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/development-updates-july-15th.1788/
https://darkcointalk.org/threads/development-update-july-30th.1924/

Main wallet screen:

The main wallet screen now shows the amount of anonymized Darkcoin the user has available to send. There is no longer an artificial limit on the number of coins that can be sent in a single Darksend transaction.

Transactions screen:

The Transactions screen now lists each Darksend round as “Darksend Denominate”.  This indicates to users that their money has been mixed with DRK from other users on the network, then converted to denominated amounts.  Each Darksend round has an associated cost (paid to the network) of 0.001DRK.

Send screen:

On the Send screen, users may now select from one of three send modes: “Use Anonymous Funds”, “Use Non-Anonymous Funds” or “No Preference”.  The balance at the bottom reflects the number of coins the user has available to send in the mode they have selected.

“Use Anonymous Funds”
•This mode enables our Darksend technology, affording an extremely high degree of transaction anonymity.  We recommend that users select this option unless they have a specific reason not to.

“Use Non-Anonymous Funds”

•This mode offers no transaction anonymity - merely pseudonymity - though there may be certain situations where that is desirable.  The wallet addresses of both sender and recipient will be listed on the blockchain for all to see, along with all other details of the transaction.

“No Preference”

•This mode is available to users, but they should be aware that in certain circumstances it has the potential to unmask both their current and prior transactions, no matter how old the prior transactions, even if the prior transactions were made with anonymous funds.  We strongly urge users to avoid using the “No Preference” option unless they have a very specific reason to do so and know exactly what they are doing. This option can also interrupt the darksend process by sending funds that are currently not finished anonymizing.

Options menu:

In the client’s Options menu (“Settings” pull-down -> “Options…”), users can configure basic Darksend settings, such as the number of Darksend mixing rounds they want their Darkcoins to go through as well as a particular amount of their available funds to keep anonymized.

The minimum number of Darksend rounds is 1, the maximum is 8.  Higher numbers of mixing rounds take significantly longer to process, but provide a higher degree of privacy and security.  Each block on the Darkcoin network takes 2.5 minutes to process, and one mixing round is executed every block.  So mixing at a depth of 2 rounds will take 2.5 minutes x 2 mixing rounds = 5 minutes.  3 rounds will take 2.5 x 3 = 7.5 minutes, and so on.

RC4 Daemon Users

Darksend is disabled by default when the software is running as a daemon. We suggest that exchanges, pools, and other daemon users leave Darksend disabled. To enable Darksend, simply execute the daemon with -enabledaemondarksend=1 flag.

Masternode Operators

Pools running the RC4 client will only make payments to Masternodes which are also running the RC4 client.  This means that as more pools update to RC4, Masternodes still running the RC3 client will see their payments decrease in both amount and frequency.  In order to continue receiving payments, Masternode operators should update their clients to RC4 as soon as possible.

WHY

One guy dumping on any given day is no big deal, the BTC that comes in after we have a good product is the big deal. Step away from the charts...

Traders trade, hodlers hodl.

Thats what people have been saying since .02. I could have cut my losses had I not listened to this fucking idiocy. God dammit....

this whole shouting, screaming and bitching about traders dumping from you sounds very familiar, didnt we have this same drama some weeks ago ?
and didnt the price went up afterwards ?

Version 18 on testnet is here! Everybody testing hurry to update! This is for testnet only.

****** Please Update To 10.12.18 or 9.12.18 *******

This version uses the new queuing system to seek out compatible transactions (where the same denominations are used). It's also enforcing these limitations now, so it might be a bit slower.

All transactions after this should look like this one:

http://test.explorer.darkcoin.fr/tx/6de2c5204abdea451da930f61bae0f954eef13188a3a37a572a24c9d92057d5d

RC4 Binaries ( masternodes / auto-denom )
http://www.darkcoin.io/downloads/rc4/darkcoin-qt
http://www.darkcoin.io/downloads/rc4/darkcoind

holy f thats fast ... although i should not be that surprised seeing how stable 10.12.17 was..
now all that is left is testing this update, fix any possible bugs, prepare a simulation to go live on mainnet, start and evaluate that simulation and then announce and bringing RC4 out on mainnet.

Latest RC4 update for testing only on Testnet !!! i repeat, This is only for those testing RC4 on testnet !!

*** THIS IS NOT FOR MAINNET !! ***

From Evan :

****** Please Update To 10.12.17 or 9.12.17 *******

I have a couple more updates to do for anonymity, which will be v18. Then we'll test for bugs for a few days and release RC4.

 - I've switched up the way the masternode network works.
1.) Users now will join a random masternode (1 of the entire list, just completely randomly)
2.) Upon joining if it's the first user, the masternode will propagate a message stating it's taking partisipants for a merge
3.) Another user will check that queue, if it's got a recent node, it will try that node first, otherwise it will go to 1.)

 - Darksend limited to 5000DRK per wallet.dat. Client will warn about this the first time it's opened, then disable darksend from then on.
 - Fixed some bugs with connecting to the correct masternodes
 - Send was sending way too many coins for all modes, (I sent 100DRK anon and it sent 2000DRK, then sent me change for the rest causing a whole reprocess of everything in the wallet)
 - Client now updates Anonymized balance when you send money out

New article: Darkcoin – How It Can Be A Scam?

Disappointing coming from Yashu Gola who normally writes pretty fair and informed articles on Darkcoin.
Yes this is really poor journalism. If he doesn't know his facts, he should not write about it. The claim that sub-optimal code has been released on purpose in the past is beyond ridiculous.

Something catched my eyes...

i bet he is getting paid in litecoins for writing that piece of shit he calls an article.
6959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | RC4 Testing on: August 07, 2014, 09:55:18 PM
its also about mining pools that need to update their server wallets to comply with MN payments (this was implemented with RC3), any pool that still hasnt updated to do MN payments after RC4 (and after the spork is set) will get their minings rejected by the network. Today some 95% of the pools already comply with RC3 so only a few pools need to update their server wallet or risk getting their mining rejected with RC4 / Spork.

Spread the hash, and use p2pool network. So you are not locked to one mining pool.

btw, the 5% of pools still not fully complying with RC3 are mostly big multipools who convert their DRK to LTC, they are the pools that need updating or risk
getting their minings rejected.

with regards to p2pool : yes, its better to spread the hash and use p2pool so we can avoid getting into a situation where one pool can get 51% hashpower and getting too much power over Darkcoin.
