Darkcoin is targetting Litecoin with regards to marketcap.
Current marketcap for Litecoin : 222 million (without developer still being innovative)
Current marketcap for Darkcoin : 25.7 million (with highly active developer and very innovative aspects)
When Darkcoin started it gained 50 million marketcap very fast while DarkSend still being in development .. so Darkcoin
getting a marketcap between 25.7 million and 75 million some weeks / months after successfull implementation of RC4 (with fully working DarkSend+)
seems reachable.
Then we need to focus on overpassing the 222 million marketcap of Litecoin through marketing / promoting Darkcoin to Merchants
(or maybe a lot of Litecoin bagholders will join Darkcoin at that time.. who knows)

question about testing the windows wallet 10.12.14 on testnet :
When i'm testing it on 1000 Darkcoins from the test faucet i always end up with
an Anonymized amount of 999.00000023 instead of 999.998 (-0.002 for the fees
of using the standard 2 rounds of Anonymizing).
Have more ppl testing RC4 on testnet seen this?
You should report what fees you're being charged on testnet. Looks like you may be incurring collateral fees. Are you losing connection? Works as designed: His 1000 DRK were anonymized into 23 denominations --> 999.00000023 This is also the largest amount he can get anonymized out of 1000 DRK, as denomination takes at least 1.1 DRK (1 DRK + 0.1 DRK). So his 0.997999977 un-denominated funds are not qualified for further denomination ahhh.. just asked it in the darkcointalk forum before seeing yr reply. Good to hear thats intended. Will mention yr reply in the post on Darkcointalk. |

I like the idea behind Ethereum, where messages aren't stored, or not for long (expiration date). So unless a message needs to be stored with a transaction, they could still be sent but not saved. I know there are times when someone may want to save a message with a transaction, yes in that case, it should be charged. Even the above could be charged, but at a very small amount. I'm wondering if it could work as easily as text messaging? If so, then we might break into that market. I don't text because .... I think it's stupid and won't pay for it, LOL. But there are times that I wish I could text my kids while they're at school to be read later (nobody listens to voice mail) But I'm not about to expose our phone numbers on a website to do so. Also, I can't type into a number pad, that takes forever. Oh gosh, I need to go, but will try and get this article written soon... charge $0.01 per message or $0.001. I don't think that matters too much. creating an active reason to use Darkcoin - to access decentralized and truly safe messaging. How much is that worth? The secret services of the world would be our biggest customers. When the Iraqi war broke out, the USA dumped $billions of dollar bills onto the population. With Darkcoin they can do the same, but more targeted and send a message at the same time. Reminds me of the c-cex hack back in Feb/March causing Darkcoiners endless agony but lucky to pick up cheap Darkcoins. also looks like there is a typo in the above explanation. Should be, as far I can see... the hacker bought MYC for about 7 BTC (until 100sat)
MYC was a Chinese scam and all this MYC engagement indicates the hacker is most likely from China. Darkcoin just cannot stay out of trouble in one way or another. I don't know what else to say. As usual the Cloakcoin thread is bashing Darkcoin for all this. It is a trend since the last run up throughout BTCTalk, blame Darkcoin for everything and anything  . In fact I might open a parody thread in the Alt subforum. i dont think there is a typo here.. just check at Mintpal the recent market history : buy price went up from 8 sat (16:14) to 130 sat (16:40) edit : i see what you mean .. yr right.. suspect typo there too |

This DRK got withdrawn from Mintpal.

MYC history says it was a buy weird, i'm basing it on this info btw found on the ANN Cloak thread :  This is MYC history  he (or she) worked this way: own account: by a small amount of MYC, put sell order really high (120sat) hacked account: sell all cloak, buy with btc MYC until 120 sat own account: freshly new BTC trade for DRK => withdraw DRK probably traded to dark to bypass "huge amount btc withdraw"-watchdog. as far I can see... the hacker bought MYC for about 7 BTC (until 10sat) 4 minutes later a buy (from hacked account) until 120 sat ahh, that explains a lot, i wasnt totally getting how it worked as they couldnt get to the emailverification of the hacked account.
