6981  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I was hacked with the Fake Binance on: January 30, 2018, 07:16:40 PM
Today, to login binance, I used google search (lazy ass) and click on google top ad (stupid of me). I check https and certification was secure and the name (nothing wrong there), and after entering my password and code for two step authentication, it displayed this massage:

Due to the implementation of new security measures you will be able to login 24-48 hours later.
Sorry for the inconvenience

I got suspicious, so I typed went back and googled the massage and I came across this page. Apparently the displayed name in the url with valid certification has a small dot under n. So I was hacked, lucky me I change my passwords and my authentication method asap. But It was headache and normally it is not easy to spot this. You can also copy past the fake binance.com in a notepad and see that original url is : (https://www.xn--binace-zt7b.com/).

I know I was supply (even being normally paranoid about everything.
I am putting this here to stop anybody losing his BTCs.

Thanks for the fair warning. I have no Binance account but this would really help a lot of members to try and be sure that they are in the correct URL so that they are not going to be phished and loss their coins on the exchanges. That's why its important to bookmark the trading platform, there are a lot of hackers who will do anything to stole money out of their unsuspecting victims.

I'm sure that there are already who fall for this and can't do anything but to blame themselves because of their mistakes. Very hard lessons to swollen and it comes at a big cost for others. Good thing though that you are really quick to change everything.
6982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inquiries at Google and the rise in Bitcoin prices are related on: January 30, 2018, 06:56:35 PM
Inquiries at Google and the rise in Bitcoin prices are related

If you want to know the price of Bitcoin, just ask Google. Nick Colas of Datatrek Research, a former analyst for monitoring Bitcoin, in an interview with CNBC suggested that the key to unraveling the next volatility is to observe Google's search service, as well as the creation of new wallets.

Kolas is not the first analyst who has grasped the connection with inquiries, the creation of a purse and the volatility of the price. Previously, Chris Berniske stated that the rate of BTC / USD clearly reflected the trend of Google search. Berniske called him "The virtuous cycle of Satoshi"

More
I think its pretty obvious that in the last 6 months, Google search about bitcoin is expanding, which means that a lot is looking about bitcoin and how to make money out of it (creating new wallets). But I'm not sure what's the connection about the price though, more searches = price going up? This is a new theory for me.

Maybe people do search for bitcoin because they are curious about it. Social media has already created a lot of hype on it. And people want to learn more how to invest and create more money for them.
6983  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this new crash very bad on: January 30, 2018, 06:34:58 PM
I notice quite a big drop in the last few hours.  Is this just a short term thing for a few hours and it will pick up again back to normal.  Or will it go much further down into a big crash.
Well its looks like that we are on another market price correction. It's the 3rd time for this month if I'm not mistaken. We have seen similar corrections in 2016 and 2017, 2-3 in the month of Jan.

Again, when the price is going down, its likely that more investors will try to pick up a few bitcoin because the price is cheap. So in hindsight, its not bad as you might think.

One must take advantage of every situation to get bitcoin at a discount, and this is another golden opportunity to all of us.
6984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news! on: January 26, 2018, 11:25:53 PM
Wow it is a good news because bitcoin have potential to getting higher next month and many people in korea have more to known about cryptocurrencies world coins most specially bitcoin.i wish that many country doing like korea country
South Korea is really a big player not just in bitcoin and crypto in total. This news is really positive to the market, however the catch is that South Korean traders will have their name exposed to the banks so its no longer the psuedo anonymity.

But we can't be for certain that countries will follow what South Korea has been doing. They have put a tighter and strict regulations as far as trading is concern. Other countries want a total ban.

I like though what South Korean government did here, instead of a total ban, they will let their people trade as long as they will follow the rules that they laid out. Still a win-win for us and for the government.
6985  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think that Bitcoin's price will still drop nearly below $9000? on: January 26, 2018, 10:30:07 PM
Many of those people who predict the price of bitcoin will come down again like he raced to show the technical predictions he made.

if it is true can you give an accurate reason not just speculation and not just a fake streak of technical predictions?

and why the decline in Bitcoin prices is quite prolonged?

No one can predict the price of bitcoin because its very volatile. And those who have made "accurate" predictions have also made a lot of miss predictions. NO amount of TA can see how it goes because we based everything of speculation as you have said.

The declined is due to a lot of reasons, like government bans, FUD and people staying away and doesn't want to invest into the market because of the reasons above.

But there would be time that the market will rally. Its just the nature of our market.
6986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin new revolution of finance world. on: January 26, 2018, 09:20:46 PM
Bitcoin is new revolution of finance world. Everyone knows that bitcoin born in 2009. Currently bitcoin is developing criptocurrency - Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple Bitcoin Cash, Cardano, Litecoin, NEO, NEM, Stellar, IOTA, EOS, Dash, TRON, Monero, Dogecoin.  Shocked
Will the banks support this kind of financial transaction and will be able to survive together?

In Latvia, bitcoins are something new and unknown. Everyone is talking, but few of them really understand bitcoin's capabilities.

Is it really something lasting or short-lived??? Huh Huh
Actually it's already revolutionized the financial world already. That's why you see governments and banks are taking a hard line stance against bitcoin. They are afraid that bitcoin would really disrupt their economics that why they need to cut it out as early as possible. However, bitcoin has already gain ground on some countries like Japan.

I'm assuming that in Latvia, crypto is not yet ban. I advise you to take this advantage and do trade and earn bitcoin as much as you can before your government makes a U-turn.

Yes, eventhough bitcoin has been in the media lately, there's still a lot of people who don't know anything about bitcoin and how does it work and what it can bring to them, financially.
6987  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ICO's & new coins. Could this millionaire plan work? on: January 26, 2018, 08:50:26 PM
It won't work based on your assumption and permutation. If you are lucky, it will only work 3-4 levels deep and after that the difficulty would increase against your favor. This is like martingale system in gambling.  Smiley. And you can't really double your money unless you are very very lucky to invest on a ICO that will gave you that amount in short amount of time.

Do you think this can work?
How would be your plan?

The chances of this permutation working is 50-50 ! Factoring in the fact that some ICOs can disappoint you and make you lose your funds, in the case of hacked website and/or accounts or just the project executive team running away with the money gathered at ICO with some lame excuses.
Exactly, there's still a chance that you can invest on a ICO can will take off with your funds. There's are hundreds of reasons to earn and become millionaires from ICO but it will take amount of money + risk + luck. Better just to hold on your coins long term that investing on ICO this way.
6988  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-25] 50 Cent Makes Millions Selling Album For Bitcoin on: January 26, 2018, 08:30:40 PM
Get Rich or Die Tryin'  Grin Grin Grin

I wasn't aware though that he started accepting bitcoin and he was one lucky guy to jump on the bandwagon early because it already made him tons of money out of it. Well there are thousands of people who have also invested on bitcoin but totally forgot it until such time that bitcoin price is already at the 5 digit mark.

Its a risk that he has taken, although not as bigger risk because he has already sold millions of album already. But sometimes to have to really take risk to get bigger rewards at the end.
6989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot crash or go down. on: January 26, 2018, 07:47:16 PM
Bitcoin cannot crash nor go down against the dollar. You can print as much US dollars or fiat currency as you want. BUT YOU CANT CREATE MORE THAN 21 MILLION BITCOINS. If everyone just realize that fact, it would never stop going up. It seems like the idiot stupid fools that are selling since December don't know that. It is just as simple as that.
That's why the tulip bubble argument against bitcoin is flawed at the beginning. They keep on comparing bitcoin to tulip bubble were there is unlimited supply while bitcoin can't go beyond 21M coins in circulation.

And it really boils down to the basic economic law of Supply and Demand. Only please take note that every 4 years, there is a halving making the supply of bitcoin scarce, and the price could increase overtime until a final quantity of 21M bitcoin have been mined.
6990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This can be addictive!! on: January 26, 2018, 06:58:16 PM
I'm a newbie and have been into crypto for a couple of months now.  I must say the advice from other members about not checking trades too often is very good.  One can become obsessed with it, and I think the thrill of the "win" can be quite addictive.  Similarly that depressed feeling when the world is "red" can be deflating as well.  There must be a "happy" medium, if one is to maintain a balanced life.
It's very addictive I must agree, specially if you are seeing your money is growing inside your wallet. However, there's the problem when the market crashes, you will check the prices and you have been tempted to sell it because your funds is going down as well.

But you have to be emotional strong and control yourself not to push the sell button. Just look at the financial gains later if you going to hold on it. Just keep calm and have patience and I'm sure that you will be happy if you see the price of bitcoin recovered and glad that you made the right decision.
6991  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit again 20k USD on: January 26, 2018, 05:46:20 PM
I believe if bitcoin will reach $ 20k again. It's just a matter of time to be able to hit the price and now is the right time to invest and wait for the highest price again.
Same as that happened when the price was to start increasing has been taking place now too. In particular during those days users never expected such a big value will come to reality. Today with expectation people has been speculating as the price seems to grow even when it is fluctuating in a higher margin.
There are many speculation of bitcoin price to happen. The price to hit to $20k so since many speculation to increase this means there are many people that are beleiving in bitcoin. Let's observe the market for a while for now.
$20K is the new mental barrier for all of us. We have been waiting that this price could have been surpassed already, specially that we almost touch it in December. But sadly, the market turns bearish and we move further away from reaching our goal.

If there is a positive news like Lightning Network, then certainly we are going to test if we can hit it again. Lightning Network will solved all the scaling problems that has been hounding us for many years. And this is one reason why many investors just stay at the background waiting. If bitcoin transaction becomes so quick and with cheap tx fees, I'm sure that we can surpassed 20K.
6992  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC HOLD or SELL? on: January 26, 2018, 02:47:25 PM
Bitcoin is just a hold. After each correction (which is now happening), bitcoin is restored fairly quickly in price and becomes even more expensive. So do not sell bitcoin. If you need money, then sell part of the bitcoin for the amount you need. The remaining bitcoins hold.
I guess holding is really hard to do. But its' the best method to really get financial profit. I think 6 months hold is fairly enough and see how it goes for anyone. If you think you need to sell and get profits then I guess its ok. But for those who can really hold for many years, specially early adopters, they are going to rich. So its really up to us, what direction we want to take with our bitcoin holdings.

If you don't need cash for emergency cases, the better decision is holding BTC until the price go up again. It will take some time but in general Bitcoin's price is increasing year after year and it is expected to become a lot more valuable in the near future, so keep collecting BTC and holding them.
I also keep that in mind. Hold and just dump if I needed money for emergency purposes only. So far I don't need to sell my coins but accumulated more during this dip.
6993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: alll coin going down. what should we do? on: January 26, 2018, 02:24:51 PM
if you haven't sold some weeks ago the only thing you can do is hold in my opinion, it's too late to sell, btc and all the crypto market will start a new run in the next weeks, they told me that you are not in loss until you sell in loss, and that's true in almost the total of cases. so just close your exchanges and come back in a few days
Well, the only thing we can really do in this kind of scenario is to really hold on our coins. You don't want to sell because you will end up with negatives. Crypto's are bleeding but it will not go like this forever, we need to be calm and wait till the market picks up and then you can sell your coins for profit. But as of the moment, just hold on it.

market go down and up and down and up
if you have hodling power, there is little to worry
The problem is that most of the newbies don't have that kind of holding power. They panic every time they see the price is falling. We have been preaching them not to sell, I guess they are affected by the negative sentiments, and would rather sell off.
6994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: better future in cyptocurreny on: January 25, 2018, 11:44:21 PM
everyone needs to buy bitcoin right now was the best decision we will gonna make in our life. but like me even i wanted i cant afford to buy even just a single BTC coin. so i need to take time to faucets and other work just to earn btc for my future. if you have a fund i think its your time to shine.grab the opportunity and relax later ! have a nice day goodluck.  Wink Wink
You don't need to let us know. Everyone wanted to buy bitcoin, but most of us have already accumulated bitcoins and just hodling. I understand your situations, casuals (like me), have a hard time because the price is so steep. But one strategy is that you don't need to buy 1 BTC, but try to get a fraction of it or what your money can afford to. Believe me one day you wouldn't notice that you have stash loads of bitcoin in your wallet.

I'm not sure about exerting your a lot of effort to obtain bitcoin through faucets. Time consuming and you can only earn a little. That's why is no longer advisable to claim through faucets.
6995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WaBi Hold or sell? on: January 25, 2018, 10:51:53 PM
Yesterday, WaBi did 5,5X today 4.5X... I understand that there will always be a rise then fall, but I have not yet had a single coin to make 4X, I think it can sell until it's too late. But I believe in their program it is really worthy.
Just take some profit, but don't dump everything yet. It has a lot of positive coins. You can read everything here:

with its price of 2.76usd this must be a steal price, they haven't started much yet with their plans in 2018 so the price will pump up soon enough. Good value coin for this year and next year, keep hodling this one or else you will regret selling it sooner.
The price is still a steal, although its really great if you have bought it when the price is below $1. I heard of this coins a while ago, but didn't pay attention because of its name.  Grin

And yeah, I have to agree that you don't need to be judge mental, you have to read the whitepaper and the learn the roadmap and see its true potential.
6996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never join any pump and dump groups on: January 25, 2018, 10:18:02 PM
their premium members buy at bottom and sell you at the top. Avoid these at all costs. Few other things to avoid are, lending platforms like bitconnect(RIP), davor etc, McAfee - avoid this joker at all cost he is an actual nutcase and I don't think he knows much about crypto projects or have any deep knowledge of any kind on crypto, if you've been following him and his reccommendations you know this already, avoid ICO's with no cap.
John McAfee admits that his twitter account has been compromised. That's why there are questions whether he is a manipulator or a influencer. I agree that he is eccentric but he has a lot of followers so I don't know if he is telling the truth about his account being hijacked, or he is just saying it because his "coin of the day" was really a joke to begin with and a total failure.

https://www.cnet.com/news/my-account-was-hacked-mcafee-founder-tweeted/

Pump-and-dump groups? We already know how premium members makes money. The only victim here is those noobs who joined this kind of groups.
6997  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you trade? on: January 25, 2018, 09:18:16 PM
How do you trade? Do you still follow the buy low and sell high? Are you still looking on the charts to predict the future value of the coin? Or Do you just use your instinct and trade base on the volume?  Some people are still panicking if their coins go dip and just sell it before they lose greater sum of money. People whose enemy is their own emotions. For me I am studying the charts of the coins which has a high potential to pump even though I'm not sure if it woll really pump. If not, I'm just holding it until it does. I am controlling my emotions and think calmly so that I can resuce the mistakes that I may done with my decisions. How about you?

That's the universal rule, not just in crypto but in stock market as well. Been in stock trading and crypto, but I must say that I like crypto's more. TA are just guidelines for me, because its bitcoin market is very volatile that analysis sometimes became useless for me. Yes, I also used my instincts to see what coins will give good results long term.

Really hard not to be emotional but you should learn how to control it because its really one of the worst enemy of a trader. Yes, you can really study the charts and look at other news that may influence how the price of a coin will move. Do your homework and I'm sure that it will give you big rewards and the end.
6998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum a bubble? on: January 25, 2018, 08:32:26 PM
A bubble is a bubble when you can tell its a bubble.
ETH price just moved from 250 to 1000 in the last 90 days
https://www.coingecko.com/en/price_charts/ethereum/usd

Sign of strength? Ethereum has its use case, but its also fueld by the bull sentiment
Everything is being fueled by bulls and then back up by a lot of positive sentiments. There was a time that ETH has rose almost 20% a day. And there are a lot of investors joining the bandwagon, thinking that ETH is the future of crypto's. But then just like bitcoin, high fees, slow and network congestion has somewhat stop its rally.

No, people saying bubble do listen too much to subjective newspapers or so called specialists who claim their ideas to be worth a lot (= many crypto haters, because they missed the cryptoboat).

C'mon, everything that are connected to crypto currency is a bubble. Literally.
But that doesn't mean we can't make a big money, it will last for long enough.
Exactly, everything in crypto is a bubble. Everyone jump on the bandwagon and want to make a lot of money. And that's what going on right now. Everyone follows where the money. Ripple became the second coins in terms of marketcap not because of the technology behind it, but investors saw a way to make money out of it.
6999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shopin CEO Eran Eyal has 'no doubt' bitcoin will cross $100,000 on: January 25, 2018, 08:07:07 PM
Nearly nobody believed when Bitcoin was new that it would reach 10k. Now today we are talking about 100k damn that is high. I think that it has the potential to reach that target. Bitcoin is so weird sometimes it can sometimes go very high in the price. I hope that it will recover soon and be back at 19k.
Yes, you can check it out the previous threads, (early 2017) and you will find that most of the predictions is around $5k-$6K range. And then boom, we almost touch $20K at the end of 2017. So I guess every prediction can really be hit as long as new investors are coming in to pour fresh blood into the ecosystem.

It's a good news if such a prediction like that will occur, but when should I be able to do it? Hopefully, there will be no impact on transaction fees because other small players or investors will find it difficult to increase the fees along with the bitcoin's price increases.
Casuals like us has the option to use Segwit, I don't know if you familiar with it, but it has tremendously reduce the cost of transaction. I advise you to change your legacy wallet and see it for yourself. And then Lightning Network is being workout. So LN+SW will be the best solution to the ever growing tx fees and slow confirmation time.
7000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 seems like a good year for ALTCOIN on: January 24, 2018, 08:09:36 PM
Some of them yes some not, just when i though i can make little profit yesterday the price of coin im holding go down rapidly  Angry choose wisely mate that all i can say

Yep not every altcoin does really have show their potential this year but it was a good news for all ethereium coin holders because it already reached 1k dollar. Ico's will also increase the value of their tokens since the market is pumping eth coins value. I think that eth coins does really have the potential to surpass bitcoins in the future.
If you have to take a look at it, altcoins rises last week of November up to now. My speculation says that it coincides when bitcoin price is going up so fast. So it has something to do with more people finding bitcoin and other altcoins a good way to earn a lot of money. But I also noticed that pumpers will choose a coin, do their thing and get out and put it on the next coin. That's why altcoins thrives, but with the current market crash, the landscapes has changes.

With that said, 2018 will be big for altcoins, but you have to be very careful what coins to put your money with. I advise top 10 coins to be safe. If you are going to funds shitcoins, just watch how it moves, you don't want to be trap specially during P&D.
