6981  Economy / Services / Re: DIMCOIN Signature Campaign on: July 10, 2017, 02:15:21 PM
I dont believe so.
we both applied around the same time and that was after the last payments were ran,
and a that stage there was no notifications of free slots or any applicants accepted.

we just have to wait, if you are accepted you will be notified here on the thread and
your name will be listed on the spreadsheet.

Have you read the OP?
there are 100 slots, these are full as per the spreadsheet provided.
If you are accepted into the campaign you will be notified here, until that happens you/we are not in the campaign.

I dont think they are special, maybe useful in a collection because of the date.
I wasnt sure these were still in curculation again because of the dates?

6991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [LTC] What are the reason behind recent LTC rise? on: July 04, 2017, 10:04:59 PM
It has started to rise because:

  • It has:
  • Google the Litecoin roadmap 2017 or https://litecoincore.org/
  • Litecoin is releasing the lightning network soon
  • Smart Contracts are coming to Litecoin
  • Anonimity is coming to Litecoin in steps beginning with the amount sent obfuscation
  • Atomic swaps is coming (like shapeshift but without needing to use shapeshift)
  • "Tether will be issuing USDT on Omni on Litecoin"
  • MASK (Demo imminent any minute)
  • It is decentralized
  • Fair release, many appreciate the fact of no ICO, Premine, Instamined, Nijamined.... Litecoins
  • Neither Charlie Lee (the creator) or the developers hold the majority of coins (eth is being held 75% by creator and devs)
  • There is max 84 million Litecoins and no more. Ethereum, Doge, Infinitycoin..... have an infinite supply
  • There is no risk of forking the network (like with ethereum or bitcoin)
  • Low fees to send money around
  • Liquidity, volume has remained high month after month for years
  • Charlie gone "all in"
  • The community is awesome it also helps when consensus is needed.
  • Telegram chat 24/hr awake
  • RSK
  • Yours.org
  • Bitgo added Litecoin (A Billion Dollar e-commerce)
  • No Blockchain bloat
  • Stability
  • Fast confirmation times.
  • Blocks are not full
  • Capable of eight times as many transactions as Bitcoin in a ten minute period.
  • The faster block time of litecoin reduces the risk of double spending attacks.
  • Anti-spam
  • It's primary function is to be a cryptocurrency
  • Continuous development look here at number of releases in past few years: https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/releases
  • The speed, liquidity and value of Litecoin is useful to traders seeking arbitrage opportunities between exchanges.
  • Still mineable in many western countries even after electrical costs are factored in. Many low value coins can be merge mined with it increasing profits for miners.
  • It will always maintain the integrity of the blockchain (no hard forks for special interests).
  • Potential of using the Lightning Network as a method of increasing transactional capacity.
  • Supported by a growing number of merchant payment processors.
  • Longevity
  • The possibility of utilizing sidechains for smart contracts without the possibility of corrupting the original non-turing complete blockchain.
  • Unlike bitcoin, it is possible to make changes to Litecoin (SegWit archived almost 100 percent consensus).
  • Fast well established network.
  • Security. Litecoin has the same security that Bitcoin
  • Most popular 24h trade on shapeshift is ETH -> LTC

Have you seen the lite ?
.

Oh yes I have seen the Lite for sure
and Im still looking at the lite as it shines brighter and brighter  Grin

Great post above, everything you need to know about litecoin in one post.
this should be stickied somewhere for all to read and get into.
6992  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Milestone for bitcoin?? on: July 04, 2017, 09:44:01 PM
I agree with hardtime!

Its a simple case of fixing the transaction times and sorting the fees
this will enable proper useage of bitcoin for micro payments etc.

A more stable price needs to happen also for traders to get fully on board.
the price can rise [and fall] in a more stable way but im not sure if this is
possible given the decentralised nature of it.

The first hurdle for a price increase as the OP mentions is the August 1st thing.
6993  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin making people an Introvert on: July 04, 2017, 09:05:00 PM
Introverts will always like to be alone whether its reading
and researching on the net or whether its creating digital
content etc. or crypto currencies.

Bitcoin is not creating introverts, its just we are constantly
connected to the WWW, we have alerts for meetings, e-mails,
messages, texts, news, forum updates, social media .... its endless,
so its difficult to actually be in the real world and find a balance.
6994  Other / Archival / Re: . on: July 04, 2017, 06:28:49 PM
I too am interested recently in physical crypto coinage
These look really nice and a good price so far to get started
so i'm going to make a bid of

6995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More good news for litecoin on: July 03, 2017, 09:48:18 PM

Thats more good news for litecoin.
Its nice to see support from SatoshiLabs, its all positive.

I think litecoin could see a bit of a rise over the coming
weeks as we get closer to August the 1st, it could be
seen as a safe haven for funds transfered from bitcoin
until this [what is seen as] uncertainty settles itself.
6996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: buying on ICO on: July 03, 2017, 07:45:28 PM
I want to invest on ICOs. I see a lot of upcoming ICOs but cant decide which one to invest in. Can anyone suggest me any a good one to put money into??
 Grin Grin Grin

Well as above suncontract seems like a good ICO
Here is the thhread here on BCT > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1934763.0;topicseen

i think its a difficult task to sipher out all the potential scam ICO's etc. and there are plenty
out there judging by the chat here on some of the threads. main thing is dont invest more than
you are willing to loose  Wink
6997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you include bitcoins in your will (and make it a quest)? on: July 03, 2017, 07:13:06 PM
Money is no laughing matter so making it a quest sounds fun but if they don't figure it out then you have wasted everyones time and your money would be gone forever.

I thought of this also but if you let the beneficiaries know the amount of "treasure"
they could hope to uncover and keep, well then im sure they would figure it out no
matter what and of course its not going to be impossibly difficult after all you want
those bitcoins found!
6998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM coin? on: July 03, 2017, 07:03:19 PM
What do you think about NEM coin? Is it worth it to invest ? ? ? Thank You !

I think it is, I personally have some investment in NEM
I like the project and its an ever evolving one at that.

Have you read through their extensive FAQ pages on their site?
https://www.nem.io/faq.html

6999  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where should i invest 45 BTC risk free on: July 03, 2017, 06:46:03 PM
That is a nice return for sure! its great that you got into bitcoin a couple of years ago
now you are seeing massive growth!

Assuming you want to invest in ANYTHING would precious metals be something to consider?

Im not experienced in investing so I am curious to know what the plan of action would be.

I do know that diversifying is a very positive element to investing ant that high reward comes
with high risk and low rewards are made with low risk.
7000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: July 03, 2017, 03:20:38 PM
hmmm im not sure the replies above are getting the meaning of the thread....

there are two words above I think are the ones to focus on "instant" and "get rich"
as Xester points out if you bought into bitcoin many years ago you are rich now
depending on how many you have, but that really wasnt instant IMO

If you bought into bitcoin in the last few months you still are not rich and nobody
know what the future holds . . .
