701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡️⚡️⚡️ 🔵🔵🔵 [ANN] ORBIT - No Limits P2P Gambling 🔵🔵🔵 ⚡️⚡️⚡️ on: November 03, 2018, 02:52:32 PM
Since a lot of people are not really familiar with crypto in general yet (at least the people I know), how easy/complicated it is to use a smart contract for gambling? Do you need be an expert or will it be easy to learn and user-friendly?

I don't think you need to be an expert, but you've definitly have to have some solid programming experience, and if you want to do something like orbit you have to have a team that can write the smart contracts, but also ensure that it's not bug ridden and exploitable by people that could really be an issue, i've seen it before you need quality not just random smart code to make a project like this succeed.

My question was more towards how complicated or easy it will be to bet/gamble on the Orbit platform. I mean, from the user's side. Do I need to have experience with cryptos or is easy to learn.

Is there any plan by Orbit team to publish whitepaper? if yes, when it will be available? For now, it looks like we are just watching trailers Wink

As already mentioned by someone else, the Orbit website looks a bit 'empty'. A little more information with maybe a simple whitepaper (or One-pager) would be a good idea.

The ONAM MVP will be released in two weeks time, I'm really looking forward to seeing the exchanges UI and matching engine capabilities. However, I am even more excited about the public beta which I believe is planned for January. This is going to contain all of ONAM's core features and AMM tools. I for one think the trade assistant is going to be a game changer for crypto exchanges.

My excitement is growing as the day goes by. I want to know if the team is really all about action or just mere talks, I can't wait for the MVP and the Beta release is even better.  Grin

Now a days every coin is releasing their MVP before the ICO only but why these people are taking so long to release the MVP. People are waiting the ICO to complete and how long they are going to take in order to release our tokens?

I wouldn't say that every project (coin) is releasing their MVP before the ICO. Not at all. There are a lot of project with no real MVP at all. And in fact, if ONAM releases its MVP in 2 weeks, it's still released before the ICO. We are currently in the pre-sale period.

And to your other question: The tokens will probably be released once the main ICO sale is over and once you passed the AML and KYC verification process.

I remember I once complained about the high minimum investment on Onam ICO. Now you can get in Onam token sale with $50.

I was about to say the same. Is it due to the main sale starting? Obviously the minimum investment will go down when the main sale starts.

It’s was actually not because of the ICO stage. I guess the team wanted to let in more investors into the sales. Give everyone a chance to get more Onam tokens. Also, it the minimum was reduced because of complains from Onam community. It’s great Onam Team listens and got their community at heart. They would do well if they keep that up.

I think its just due to the ICO stages. I have seen it lots of projects already. Pre-sale offers huge bonus and reduced price which meant for big investors. Thats logic and makes sense also.

Will be interesting to see how the main sale is structured. Maybe they can remove the minimum amount to invest completely so that everyone who wants, can invest.

ONAM has published an article on Medium. They lower the requirements for ICO participating from 2,500 ONAM to 625 ONAM. They stated also, that only the Pre-Sale stage was extended 20 days and the only effect is that the Main-Sale start 20 days later.
https://medium.com/onamex/onam-purchase-minimum-and-ico-extension-announcement-589fc08689cf

Good that they released a statement now that the sale was extended. I guess it was also smart to lower the purchase minimum. so that people who don't wanna risk too much still can invest with a smaller amount.

Was the pre-sale extended or is this a mistake on the homepage? There is written Pre-sale still takes 18 days, but it should have ended yesterday at midnight yesterday?
Softcap was not reached in the pre-sale, so maybe that'x why there is an extension
I also do not understand why there is no information on the main page. Judging by everything, they decided to continue sales in the same mode. Why the administration does not give the announcement is not good.

Well, they really should've made a public statement if they decided to extend the pre-sale. The market situation is not that good and raising money can be quite hard so everyone would've understood their decision to extend the pre-sale.

I agree i would understand if the exchange became popular they increased the fees but they should go with low fees at the start.

Did anybody check their telegram channel on why they are going for very high listing fees? I would love to hear the reason and strategy behind that price set-up.

One thing I can imagine why they are going for high listing fees (not sure if they are really high in comparison to other exchanges) is that with higher fees only reputable projects can afford to get listed.

Did anybody see the new listing procedure published by ONAM? I am just wondering why the listing fees is so high and that too for a new exchanges like ONAM. I am trying to understand the reason behind this.

Where was this procedure stated. Would live to have a peak at it. Having a high listing fee is somewhat like a normal thing in the crypto exchange world. You can look around and see most if this exchanges got high listing fees.

I can’t say why listing on Onam would have a high cost. It’s got great features makes it easy to use for traders and other users alike. But I think there would be a reason for it. To limit and scare off unserious projects from listing on Onam.

About how much are we talking as a listing fee? Couldn't find anything in the whitepaper while quickly scanning through it. Listing fees are pretty normal, I guess. Would be interesting to have a comparison of the fees ONAM will be asking to the ones of other popular exchanges.

The thing I really like at OMAM, is that they are trying to be fully compliant to SEC regulations and that they will register as a money transmitter in the United States. I mean, there are soo man exchanges but something like this makes a new exchange outstanding and interesting.

Does anyone know if Orbit has to get a gambling licence for their business model? And if they need one, do they already have one / are in the process of getting one?

The games will be managed through smart contracts, this will be a community project as fees will go back into the site.

Okay, I see. Since in some countries even loot boxes from games are banned, I was just wondering if there are any legal restrictions for the Orbit project.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⭐[ANN] [ICO] ONAM Exchange - Globalizing Seamless Trading Under One Platform⭐ on: October 30, 2018, 09:01:05 PM
I had no time yet to go through the complete thread so if it already has been asked, just forget my question. But what will be the cryptocurrencies that are tradeable once the platform goes live?

About 25 coins/tokens were announced and among them are some stable coins. The MVP will be available in 2 weeks and you can finally see all of it.

Okay, thanks for your answer. Now I am really curious how the MVP will look like. Will it be open for everyone to test it out or will it be only for ICO participants?

What is your opinion on the purchase of tokens? Do you prefer to buy from the ICO and have the secure bonus, or would you rather wait for a listing, with the possibility of some selling their bounty tokens cheaper?
I tried both and sometimes got the better prices after the listing. But that could be different with Onam

Same here. But this different, onam tokens is an exchange token. The price would be much controlled from the exchang which would be be it’s use in paying transactions fee.
Don’t forget the huge bonus we could when we get in this stage.

I don't think that you will get the ONAM tokens cheaper after the ICO. The token will get listed on the ONAM exchange first and you will have a lot of benefits or special features if you hold the tokens.

I also heard it will be listed only in ONAM exchange. Is it similar to what we have something like binance coin, KCScoin, BMX etc..?

Well, there are some people who speculate on a dump by bounty hunters after the ICO to pick up cheaper tokens. But it could also be possible that the tokens won't reach the ICO price again but will be traded above ICO price right after the listing.

When talking about the tokens that are for sale ... Does anyone know what will happen with the unsold tokens? Will they be burnt or will they be distributed amongst the investors?
717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]REMCO : Worlds First Distributed Platform for Money Transfer on: October 28, 2018, 12:29:23 PM

Yeah,  telegram channel have huge followers.  I hardly seen 2-3 project with such huge followers.  AMA session for these 100k followers would be awesome.

Of course that sounds great, but how many of the 100K would participate in the AMA? 20, 30? it's always the same, a project launches an airdrop, the telegram channel gets many new members, but they do not look anymore after the Airdrop.
But that is not important, the main thing the team publishes there constantly new information, because that's the purpose of the channel
And I'm happier with really interested participants, rather than the constant questions "when airdrop?"

I agree, I also don't like the "when Airdrop or when moon" people, but to grow the community quick, it is necessary. Those guys, won't participate in an AMA session, but the really interested or investors will do.

That's the downsite of such Telegram airdrops. Sure you get a huge amount of people joining your channel, but most of them are just in for the free tokens. However, if only a few people get interested in the project and decide to invest, it was worth it for the project in the end.

I saw that REMCO (or their parent company) already got licenses for money transfer in two US states, Georgia and Illinois IIRC. Now they wanna use part of their ICO funds to get more licenses. Does anyone know how much money (and time) it needs to get such a licence? I am asking myself how wide they could spread their business with the amount they want to achieve as the softcap ($6M).

That is a good question. Do you think such a license is very expensive? i don't think, that the license itself is expensive, I think they have to fulfill many requirements and have enough reserves
but i am sure someone of the team will answer this question soon

To be honest, I have no clue how much such a licence costs and how much effort it takes to get one. But is such a licence really mandatory for REMCO in order to be allowed to work in a specific state or country?

To get a better understanding of the project Remco, I will suggest to watch this video.
https://youtu.be/i2uBmhKO_18
It's really amazing video but why only 22 views are there? I guess Remco team need more promotion. I like the benefits which offered for user's.
They don't have a lot of subscribers either, also i noticed that their YouTube channel is called "perora" why not remco? is there a specific reason for this?
Yeah, somewhere I heard that their own YouTube channel will available soon. Let's see when it will available.

That would be great I think getting some media out would be helpful and maybe offer something to get existing users to share the videos to help spread knowledge

I would strongly suggest AMA from the team which would boost lots of confidence especially in their telegram channel where almost 100K people are there.

Yes, an AMA sounds like a splendid idea. Hopefully, VBPROJECT can pick up this idea and organize one. Would be a great way for the community to get in touch with the team and get answers for open questions.
