+1 for the creator of Darksend technology and DGW (fixes KGW vulnerabilities). Darksend is based off of gmaxwell's CoinJoin idea and the DarkGravityWave is just as vulnerable as the KimotoGravityWell. The source is available for comparison. Apart from the previously mentioned ArtForz, Sunny King, etc. I think Balthazar, the Novacoin developer, deserves a place on that list. Hate or love Novacoin, he knows what he is doing. Don't forget SolidCoin!DGW and KGW are nothing special, so i agree there. just little pieces of code that are flawed and need more work. +1 for Balthazar as well. I can only imagine the time he put into fixing the problems with stake calculation(and the blocks to go back patch i think he made as well) |

dear cryptorush "devs". you copied your website from my openex beta source code. you should take the website down immediately. at the very least, you need to do the following: find on login php where the $loggedInUser Object is created for the loggedinuser class. prior to setting the session add this line. session_regenerate_id(true);
as a quick fix you can cut/paste this into config.php of the models directory, however for performance and the sake of doing it the "right way", these values should be set in php.ini the real way to prevent session fixation and hijacking in php ini_set('session.cookie_httponly', 1);//prevent hijacking

ini_set('session.entropy_length', 16);//integer amount in bytes to read from dev/random

for your sake, i hope you switched to bcrypt or mcrypt for password hashing as well. I'm not trying to be rude, but the code is full of race conditions and lacks any protection against sql injection. it also doesn't use transactions. you will have a constant nightmare as long as you use that source code. for the sake of your users, take the site down, pay someone to fix it or wait until i've finished with the new openex source code before someone loses big money and sues your ass. also, your source code is likely vulnerable to malleated transactions unless you added a secondary table to check against changes in tx hash for the same amount/account timestamp. this is an issue that was brought to my attention earlier today. there is much more. if you would like to talk you know where to find me. |

From what HKC dev said, probably there are other methods that could draw multiple times from the HKC faults within 24 hours. This again proves that the HKC faucet is a poor way to distribute HKC to Hong Kong people.

Not my favourite coins. All coins. This effects every single coin on the market. Not just the ones I hold. The ones you hold. The ones everyone holds. There is only so much BTC to spread between them.
Hell, I might even be holding a few crapcoins myself. But I'd rather see them dead and buried if it means the actually innovative coins, with real developers behind them, actually stand a chance of being successful.
It seems a bit hypocritical that so many people are happy with pump and dumps, yet you dare suggest taking a coin down, and somehow you're an enemy of the system. There needs to be some sense of balance, and right now the market is becoming increasingly diluted, and we're all losing out because of it.
I agree on this piece. But i think the market needs to do that. The natural selection. Not a Gorilla and some dudes spreading hate. Again, all this thing is about liberty. If we start dictating what initiative is good or bad we already lost. Another thing should be to inform. Information is power, but also the ultimate salvation for all. If some shitcoin erupts, and we all know about it and spread the info proving that sucks, no one will fall on it. Thats what i think. your argument is flawed though. half of these coins are vulnerable to the attacks we mention. by not forcing the evolution here, we're allowing more and more people to invest in these coins until they inevitable fork and the dev runs away anyway. if you want to talk about natural selection, you can't underestimate the role of the predator(hypebole but you get the point). |
