701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FT article "Time to take the Bitcoin bubble seriously" on: December 14, 2013, 02:03:47 PM
Finally they understand that Bitcoins is a serious thing after spending ages in denying that though they keep using the 'bubble' word, but anyway any good publicity increasing demand and public knowledge of btc's is good.

703  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I add BTC to my BTC wallet? on: December 14, 2013, 02:03:59 AM
On Coinbase ,There is a "send" button or something equivalent to that, click on it. Enter you actual bitcoins address. confirm. and you should get it there soon.
I am sure there are instructions for sending/receiving on the FAQ or tutorials section of site.

705  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [Ice-Dice.com] 0.5mBTC Automatic Giveaway! on: December 14, 2013, 01:45:12 AM
Is this continuing from the old thread? Or can everyone claim it again?
Didn't work for me (and I participated in the previous giveaway) so I guess that is our answer.

707  Other / Meta / Re: Authentication/2FA on: December 14, 2013, 01:34:18 AM
this would be a nice addon to this forum specially with the two recent attacks and the possibility that some accounts (specially in the last attack) has been compromised. making a fully updated software would be even better but on short-term adding 2FA is a priority.

708  Other / Meta / Re: AVATAR won't load on: December 14, 2013, 01:32:00 AM
There was a recent attack on this forum (not the previous man-in-the-middle attack but another one before it) that used avatars.they have been disabled until the admin solves the weaknesses in avatars.
709  Other / Meta / Re: Bug in post speed limit on: December 14, 2013, 01:29:46 AM
it's a rule for newbies and it's very annoying, you won't be under the influence of that rule as soon as you get the "Member" Title though and the limit moves to a post every 60 minutes.
710  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it the end of BTC??? on: December 14, 2013, 01:26:04 AM
Bitcoins is volatile in price,It could be at any price as it's based on the offer and demand as there is no backed-up value,it's now at $800-$900 after it reached much lower prices earlier this month.
anyway the recent fall is due to casascius coins being shut-down (at least temporary) right?
711  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2013-12-11] CNN: Can Bitcoin replace PayPal? on: December 14, 2013, 01:19:27 AM
I think bitcoins has the potentials of being used as an alternative to PayPal and the benefit of less-fees and smoother system but for  established e-commercials. PayPal has been working for them for years and it might take sometime for them to use bitcoins as a new payent method.
712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will I be able to use Bitcoins at the mall in 2014??? on: December 14, 2013, 01:15:41 AM
Nice! ,the volatility issue can be overcome by using a website for immediate conversion like bitpay etc... and they get there money in the bank. another difficulty is confirmations,it takes about 10 mins to confirm currently and I doubt they will accept non-confirmed payments.
713  Other / Meta / Re: Close this sub-Forum (lending) on: December 14, 2013, 01:12:33 AM
I agree with you,I barely saw 1-2 succesful loans in that sub-forum,almost everyone lending asks for collateral and barely 1-2 people had that. also the amount of defaults and delays.

714  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to sell and buy via Skrill/Moneybookers safely on: December 12, 2013, 05:06:12 PM
They sometime request verification suddenly, but the main issue might be the use of stolen creditcards or bank accounts and then getting "chargeback" that they might most likely take from the receiving user's balance.
715  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins Future is promising, but one point I havent figured out yet... on: December 12, 2013, 05:03:19 PM
it might not be used in all places but it can be the best option for online payments and transferring money between people (who know about it). also there are some options to increase it's mainstream use like making a BTC Debitcard making it as easy to use as any Debitcard but based on BTC's.
716  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price at end of 2014? on: December 12, 2013, 04:59:54 PM
it's really difficult to tell as bitcoin volatility is so unpredictable and any news could switch it in the opposite direction and either increase or decrease it value. so I guess it mainly depend on the the mainstream acceptance and use.
717  Economy / Economics / Re: My bank account's got robbed by European Commission. Over 700k is lost. on: December 12, 2013, 04:50:34 PM
This is just crazy and ridiculous,So the Cyprus government is using account owner's money to pay for debt and this is even legal? even if they make the law there should be limits.
Also according to that manager in the new update even more might be taken even the insured amount? and after that they say

Cyprus Central Bank has warned that using the virtual currency Bitcoin is dangerous.
most likely,They find bitcoins dangerous because they can't confiscate it.
718  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoinwisdom charts: bad CaVirtex trades shown on: December 12, 2013, 04:39:54 PM

719  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitcoinWisdom.com - Live Bitcoin/LiteCoin Charts on: December 12, 2013, 04:38:40 PM
There's a dedicated bitcoinwisdom thread, but I can only post in the newbies section for now, and the creator of that site doesn't seem to provide any other method of contact.  So I'm reporting here that the charts for CaVirtex

http://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/cavirtex/btccad

include some trades at $1500, which are almost certainly bad data and should be deleted.

720  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "No devices" but have a usb asic 333/mhs HELP on: December 12, 2013, 04:20:46 PM
I suggest trying bitminer guiminer,or cgminer if all of these don't recognize the device then re-installing the suggested drivers might be the best option or running it on another computer to confirm if you are doing something wrong or if there is an issue in your computer.
