This is what club coaches doesn't like about international breaks because possibly some of the players are return to their clubs with uncertain conditions and it just happend for Arsenal that against Leeds this saturday at least they got 2 players injured such as Kieran Tierney and Thomas Partey that these players has got injured because playing with their national teams and currently at least Arsenal has 6 players who unable to played because of injured issue

Both these players have been having some problem with their injury so its been hard for them. I think we still have good replacements for them as I think Zinchenko will fill in for Tierney and Jorginho will fill in for Partey likely. And both of these players are experienced so not really and a thing to worry. Saliba and Tomiyasu are the new ones and out of this Saliba is the worrying one but I think we also have replacement for him but not as good as Saliba. Still I think we will do good tomorrow.

Compared to their opponent Leeds this team has good conditions and every key players will be ready to played so i was wondering whether Arsenal will be overcomes Leeds easily with the current squad or not however so far they are still the favourite with low odds @1.29

It's gonna be a bit tough as Leeds have some pacy players and with injuries in defence line it will be tough but I think we will make up for it attack. Key thing will be to keep applying pressure on Leeds and keep their wingers on the check.

Best we sell him to Bayern Munich with a buyback clause although if they won't want to buy him with such contracts then we let go off him completely. I think we shouldn't be selling tu a premier league rival as our players sold to teams in the kids position always hurt is back. Mason mount at Liverpool could cause problem if he achieved success as Mo Salah did but Mount success at Bayern Munich won't hurt Chelsea as they won't be competing in the premier league. We might only be hurt if we meets in the champions league but that doesn't happen often. There's no doubt of mount talent but I still don't understand why he can't accept the contract.

Yeah will be better off at Bayern if possible. However Liverpool have been actively looking for a midfielder and recent rumours are suggesting that Bellingham to Liverpool is less likely so Liverpool will be going on after him as with his current situation at Chelsea, Liverpool might get him at a bargain here. I haven't looked into his situation with Chelsea but whatever it is Chelsea are about to lose a very good attacking midfielder. You seem like a Chelsea fan so was Mount offered a contract extension? If so seems like Mount wants a good raise maybe?

[...]meanwhile the relegation battle will be very tough I also agreed that 14th placed Leeds Utd with 26 points isn't safe yet, the bottom team Southampton has 23 points just 3 points separated all the teams it going to be a real battle of "survival of the fittest".

It's very close in relegation battle as there isn't much gap down the table starting from Crystal Palace who stands 12th on the table with 27 points to Southampton who is at bottom of the table with 23 points. So in just 4 points there are 9 teams so it could be anyone out of those 9 teams. If you ask me then I think Southampton could be one as they have been horrible this season. About rest I am not so sure but yeah there are lot of rounds to be played and there will be lot of shift on the table in that area. Whatever it is, it has come down to a point where they have to act on it in order to get themselves out of the relegation zone.

It's too soon to equate Arteta with Wenger because after all, Wenger has a long history at Arsenal but for Arteta I think Arteta is just starting to be successful. So yes, it still needs another good result to level Arteta with Wenger who then you can call a legend.

Yes he has a long way to go. I think recently Wenger just got into Hall of Fame so its a very long road for Arteta to be considered like Wenger.

But apart from that, Arteta's success is in daring to create a young squad for Arsenal and also, the process to achieve this success has taken quite a long time too at least from last season.

It's a long process and even with money you can't usually get that success easily. Take Chelsea for example, they have spent so much money getting players but yet they aren't performing like the way we expect them. Its just because they still lack lot of things which obviously needs time.

Quote
So yes, this season Arsenal and Arteta deserve an award.

Yeah we do really. Last time it was close but we missed but Arteta and his men will be hoping to not to make those mistakes like in last season again. It's a difficult task to keep ourselves above City for long but we are not that far out from the crossing line.. just need to maintain the distance - thats it.

I can't fathom why people would think that Thomas Tuchel is a better coach than Julian Nagelsmann for Bayern Munich. Well the next several important matches will tell. Both men have different coaching and leadership style. Therefore, I refute the assertion that one is better than the other. Maybe Julian Nagelsmann style may not have worked for Bayern, it will sure work for another team. I am waiting for those who cancel Julian Nagelsmann to also come and cancel Thomas Tuchel if eventually he doesn't win the Champions League.

*Fixed the quotes*

Yeah they both have different style of managing. I also think Nagelsmann was doing a decent job but due to ill feeling between him and the board things fell apart in the middle. Tuchel is also a good manager but nowadays manager has very little time to live upto the expectations as it seems. Its a very bad tradition going on nowadays and it has to change. Bayern are not a type of club who changes their manager quickly so I think they didn't liked how Nagelsmann was handling things and perhaps was quite the opposite of the way others inside the board wanted. Sometimes things like this also leads to manager and club parting ways. So I feel its not like Tuchel better than Nagelsmann or Nagelsmann better than Tuchel. It's just that they wanted a change and Tuchel was free so for Bayern it seemed perfect at that point.

I still don't how people can be sure about the performance of Thomas Tuchel in Baern when his team didn't play even one game in the champions league or in Budesliga, we know Tuchel is a good coach and got a shining experience with other teams like Chelsea but hiring him at this time was not a right thing to do because just after he starts his work he will face Dortmund as their main comparator of Bundesliga.

No one can be sure about success of anyone. Someone is just speculating about it by saying so. Tuchel however has experience of managing in Bundesliga as he has managed Dortmund and Mainz earlier. He has also led Chelsea from underdogs of CL to win the CL so I would say he is very experienced and a tactical manager. He can manage well if he has a good team and also can build a good squad. I think he can do well there. It's a big challenge for him now at Bayern with CL and tough spot of Bayern in Bundesliga.

Never thought I would see Arsenal at the top of the table for so long playing so well. Arteta is doing a great job and without a doubt he will win the league this season. He also managed to break the doubts of Arsenal fans by showing a stable game so far. If Arteta wins the premier league title with Arsenal this season he will become a legend just like Wenger.

Yeah definitely, I would say part of credit should also go to Arsenal board members for believing in the process and patient throughout. It's the sweet result which we are enjoying right now. It's a slow process but it does makes the team strong and confident in the end which is a trait of a world class club. Even if Arteta doesn't wins Premier League I am fine with it as I know in future he will eventually bring us a PL for sure if not now.
708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 29, 2023, 04:39:17 PM
Hehe, I turned out to be right and Conte's maneuver worked - now he has received compensation (17 million, I think) and time to choose a new job. By the way, it's funny, but in the history of Tottenham, he is practically the top in terms of statistics:

1. Mauricio Pochettino (1.89 points per match);

2. Antonio Conte (1.88);

3. André Villas-Boas (1.83);

4. Harry Redknapp (1.74);

5. Jose Mourinho (1.64).

I will look with interest at the achievements of the new coach and will not be surprised if the club worsens its performance.

I seriously have never been a fan of clubs changing their manager constantly and Spurs falls into that category. Over the years they have recruited very good managers but they didn't gave a good chance in my opinion. Anyway I am not surprised by the stats but Conte actually did well in the middle. Spurs had quite some time under him. I actually would have loved to see him a bit longer but obviously everyone was frustrated with the situation.

Now it seems Naggelsmann is the target according to rumours. Former Bayern manager is a very tactical manager but another manager who was sacked having different ideology as they say but it obviously was due to poor relation developed over the time with the board members. I think if they sign him it will be another manager to leave the club soon.
709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 26, 2023, 07:21:45 PM
Tottenham Hotspur are filled with few world class players and with that I don't think any manager would successfully reach his/her desired goals with tjray squad. They need to sell the club if they can't fund for players. Tottenham with any new Coach will also struggle to get into top four.

I don't think it's few class players. Son, Kane, Lloris, Romero Richarlison are really some good names in that team. They have been in rough patch and yes they need signing in some areas but sometimes things like this happens when manager has certain ideas with the future and board have different ideas. My guess is this was the same scenario here and things got boiled up when rough patch hit the clubs performance.  Things need to change and tradition of changing managers is useless if that isn't the real issue.

It looks like James Ward-Prowse is going to leave Southampton at the end of the season. Actually it depends on whether they relegate or not. They still have a chance to stay in the Premier League though despite being at the last position. Because the point difference with the team just over the relegation zone is only two points. Everything can change in the remaining weeks.

But if they still relegate and Ward-Prowse becomes ready to leave then Tottenham are said to be interested in signing him. He is an amazing free-kick taker above all else. He can be a useful player for Tottenham.

It will be tough for James Ward-Prowse for sure. He has been in the club for so much long and over the years he has developed so much there. He is a very good player and very good at free kicks so there is no doubt lot of clubs will  be after him. JWP is a top player so he has to make a hard choice but yeah like you said I also think moving to other club playing in top tier league is the best thing for him.
711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 26, 2023, 06:12:28 PM
After the statements that Conte allowed himself after the game with Southampton, the club has no choice whether to sack him or not. In principle, he repeated Ronaldo's trick with an interview with Morgan, only on a smaller scale - now the club is obliged to fire him.
So far, it is not completely clear why Conte is doing this - either he is tired of suffering at the club, or he knows that he will be fired at the end of the season and thus wants to at least get money for the premature termination of the contract ... but I think everything will become clear soon.

Well he have been rambling about he never dealt with the situation like Spurs in his managerial career so he has been very unhappy recently. Not sure what's going on behind the scenes but it's not looking good. Earlier it seemed like he would be till the end of the season but how things are going on it will be soon if board finds it going beyond a point and becomes unbearable to them. I think he also wants to get away as soon as possible so better to part ways if both the board and the manager are having the same feeling.
712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 26, 2023, 05:08:15 PM
I don't know why heard that very exciting news about Tottenham after Munchen recruit Tuchel, I know Julian Nagelsmaan just got fired, but is it not too early? Because so far, Conte is not bad, he even can make The Spurs be on the top position premier league above competitors. he might be emotional when insulting officials, it could be forgotten if they expect performance and achievement, but if the officer wants to be sensational-oriented, of course, if they fired Conte, their names are soared

It would be an interesting one. Nagelsmann was doing good at Bayern not so much good in Bundesliga but they are really performing great in Champions league. So I don't get why Bayern sacked him so quickly. Anyway it's an opportunity for Spurs as it seems now to get Nagelsmann if they really want him. It's my first time hearing this rumor but honestly I am interested to see this one happen. Conte at Spurs is very unlikely and Nagelsmann is an emerging manager so I think it's a good candidate for the role of manager for Spurs.

Regarding the match between Manchester United and Newcastle, it will certainly be a test for Erik Ten Hag in extending his positive trend this season with the Red Devils. What's more, the potential to win is quite big and on paper Manchester United is superior. However, it seems that Casemiro will not be able to join to strengthen the midfield, which indeed cannot be replaced. Need an ideal option in midfield because, without a red card sanction, Erik Ten Hag needs to change the rotation of the game.
Even though Man United still has Fred, McTominay, and Sabitzer to fill Casemiro's position but I think their game will be very different compared to when Casemiro played in the team. It is likely that Newcastle will dominate in the middle so practically Man United will rely more on their attacks through the flanks.

Sabitzer might stabilize things in the mid but they definitely need another strong defensive midfielder in the absence of Casemiro and Eriksen. I think Fred will feature in this game and it will be a difficult game for United to find a control in midfield. It will be a close game but I think United are gonna beat Newcastle eventually so let's see how it goes on the gameday.

I doubt  if Haaland will stay long in Manchester City,   according to him before now, he wish to play for every big club in every league,  and this will make him to last in a club not more than two seasons. I think Haaland will move really Madrid after his contract with Manchester City.

Nah I don't think at all. He is happy at City and why will he move to Madrid. Also this clause I honestly don't believe until is confirmed by a credible source but as of now I don't think he is gonna leave at all. He is here to score goals in the best league in the world and he is shattering records. He has lot of potential and can become world class easily playing for City.
715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 24, 2023, 09:01:36 PM
Man City is a clear favorite here for sure. They need a win badly so they can keep up with Arsenal. If they dont win here and Arsenal wins its game over and Arsenal will surely then win the title. Liverpool is hot and cold this season so i think they might lose this.

Yeah City are clear favourites but let's not forget Reds still can surprise at times. Take the United game for example. With City it might be a difficult one but they still can make it if they do things right. Klopp is always known to put up an upset so with season about to end Liverpool has two games against the top two teams and he will definitely be cooking up something for these fixtures.
716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 24, 2023, 06:46:02 PM
Manchester City are not going to just let Haaland go in the summer because he is in top form. Look at the top scorer and make good history with Manchester City. I just want Haaland to be kept in his team now.
Real Madrid will definitely continue to pursue him until they get to replace Benzema later. With several other player options, there is a possibility that Real Madrid will not choose Haaland, if Mancity does not let him go.
As you said, this is just a maze, the media always raises this news.

Haaland just arrived at City so not a chances is what I would say. Even if Madrid are gonna offer more than 150 m , they are gonna deny it as they have enough money. Also player is gonna deny as well as he has got a great squad and great coach and is in a very competitive league so I think he is gonna stay. Player interested for the move might have changed things but at City Haaland is very happy. He is breaking records with the best club and in the best league. What else does he needs?
717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 24, 2023, 06:37:26 PM
It would be really funny to call Newcastle a weak team now. Because they are doing the unexpected now. They are fighting to qualify for the Champions League. This is really important for Newcastle in one aspect especially. That aspect is transfers. They have so much money to spend in their transfer budget you know. But they just need to be convincing for the the type of players they would like to sign. The only way to be so is to finish this season in top four.

This isn't an impossible task to do for them but it will be really difficult of course. They need to make use of their matches missing as good as possible as well. Otherwise they might miss a big chance of signing top players to make the squad very strong for next season.

Transfer window is closed now and they have to do with whatever they have in squad for remainder of this season. Yeah they have improved a lot this season and would be hoping to keep the top 4 finish after coming out till here so far. It's gonna be a tough one with lot of teams closing in for the top 4 finish so it's not easy as it sounds. Remember big investment doesn't means anything unless they are the right ones.
718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 24, 2023, 04:08:43 PM
United are not weak, but when they lost to Liverpool, of course, there was a mistake in strategy and the squad didn't play well. United have made quite a lot of improvement, but they haven't been able to play consistently. and against Newcastle, we still don't know how Ten Hag will prepare his strategy and squad for that match.
for Newcastle, this is an important point, because with the winning points they can have hope for a Champions League ticket next season. The fight for the other 2 tickets after Arsenal and Man City will be quite exciting. we'll see how it goes at the end of the season.

I think in that fixture United have in to easily after 2-3 goals. Some mistakes by Shaw and more by others and they started giving up too easily after then. That was a horrible performance but it's a past now for them. Best they can do is take the revenge when they face Liverpool again.

About Newcastle and United fixture, it's important for both the teams and I think United are having a better mentality and confidence than Newcastle right now but with International break in between things might get a slight reset again so I think both teams are equal at this point. I would however incline a bit towards United here just because I want to see them get something after ten Haag putting so much work in the club.
719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 23, 2023, 07:23:42 PM
Next week the EPL is off due to the international break. I am waiting for the big game Man City vs Liverpool. It seems to be interesting. But I read the news that Haaland did not take part in training. Haaland felt discomfort in his groin. In fact, he was already with Norway but the coach did not want to risk making his injury worse. Of course, if Haaland still cannot play in this match, it is an advantage for Liverpool.

That will be a very crazy game. With City and Arsenal going close for the title race, Liverpool are tough opponents for City. Also in next gameweek to that, we have Arsenal vs Liverpool also. It's important fixtures for both Arsenal and City. Liverpool also would be hoping to pull off an upset here. I hope Liverpool surprise City and Arsenal pass their test as it would increase the gap between City and Arsenal on the table.

I haven't read about update on Haaland but I think he will be back for club games. Its the international ones that he is out for (I think-could be wrong though).
720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 23, 2023, 06:49:15 PM
Diego Someone men are not doing badly in recent times. The have never lost a game in eight games. The have won six and drew only two games. They are still closely followed by Real Sociedad who are three point below and Real Betis who are fifth with 54 point six points below Atlético Madrid. The team have to work hard to ensure they don't loose more games. And their next match against Betis is also very important because it will determine how close this rival will be to the Atlético team. I was really glad to see Álvaro Morata improved performance. The Spanish striker have scored ten goals this season, that's not a bad performance for a striker that have been greatly underrated.

Yeah Atletico are back to their form once again but so far in 2023 they have done well in my opinion. Lot of close games but in most of them they had made a break in the end so not bad. Both Sociedad and Betis are behind with 3 and 6 points gap so bit close given the games left.

Signing of Depay has proved to be crucial for Simeone's team. He is now a starter for Atletico. Also Morata has been scoring also but after signing of Depay he has lost significant amount of playing minutes.
