If you want a cool running card look for the tri-fan cards with good heatsinks. Asus STRIX, EVGA FTW3, MSI Gaming X Trio and the Zotac AMP! Extreme. BBT did a review on the Zotac AMP! Exteme 1080 Ti and it hardly ever goes to 60C, even with a +110 power limit. https://youtu.be/1gk8Dc0o4MA?t=5285

As Equihash is a core dependant algorithm, Bios mods have little effect on the hash rate. If I mine Equihash with RX 570/580's, which is almost never since dual mining ETH is more profitable, I use the same Bios, increasing the core and reducing the memory overclock. With Powercolor Red Dragon RX 570's with Hynix/Elpidia dual timings Bios on Windows 10 with the AMD blockchain drivers for ZEC I get ~315 H/s with a 1325 MHz core clock, 1950 MHz memory clock, -96 mV undervolt and -15% power limit in Afterburner. On RX 580's I get 325 - 330 H/s with the same settings. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2273535.msg23161266#msg23161266

Liquid cooling systems are designed for gamers and I don't believe liquid cooling can live up to the reliability of air cooling under the harsh 24/7 mining conditions. Pumps failing under constant use and PVC tubing turning to mush from high heat are a concern.

I think i've heard that almost as many times as Bitcoin is dead. LOL.

More than 6-8 GPU's on Windows 10 requires more RAM. 8GB should be good even with future updates which typically increase RAM requirements.

ASRock has released a Bios update to patch the Spectre vulnerability on their motherboards, including the H110 Pro BTC+. I copied the v1.60 Bios to a USB flash drive and updated to the latest Bios via the Instant Flash utility in the Tools section of the Bios. Be sure to save your Bios configuration profile settings to an external USB or disk from the OC Tweaker section of the Bios before updating as the new Bios will return to the default settings. There was no noticeable drop in performance for me. https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H110%20Pro%20BTC+/index.asp#BIOSThe latest Bios also adds a PCI-E slot detection diagnostic module to the Bios setup page that dispalys the PCI-E slot state for troubleshooting, similar to the Asus B250 Mining Expert motherboard. It also gives information on the CPU & Memory installed.

The risers fitted with the molex 4 pin connector take +12V and +5V from the molex. The risers fitted with the 6 pin power connector only get +12V from the connector so need an on board regulator to produce the +5V needed by the GPU. The 6 pin type is best suited for when you have a separate power supply for the GPU's as there is then no possibility of connecting 2 different power supplies to the GPU at once. The 6 pin types have more components on them to give the +5V supply and therefore have more scope for failure.
Nonsense. PCI-E GPU's only use 12V, which is what the PCI-E specification calls for. Up to 75 W though the PCI-E slot, 75 W through the 6-pin and 150 W through the 8-pin VGA power inputs. The voltage regulator on the 6-pin risers stabilizes the the 12V line to prevent spikes. It is NOT a transformer to convert 12V to 5V.

I leave the memory undervolt the same as the core undervolt. The memory undervolt dosen't save much power anyway, but it should help the VRAM run cooler. 850-950 mV are good values for most RX 580's.

Yes. You can also set the power limit and fan/temp limit with the Claymore parameters.

Guys, need some help: Started to building a 6 GPU rig (RX580 Sapphire Pulse 4gb Elpida). Flashed every card one by one. When I'm at 3 cards, msi afterburner works normal, but when I plug the 4th card, msi afterburner dies (check the picture). How can I fix this? If that doesn't work, is there a way in AMD Radeon settings to load custom profile on every boot? I modded clock, saved the profile but after fresh boot the clocks reset to default. Pls advise, many thanks! If you want to use the compute drivers, Afterburner will not work with AMD Crimson 17.11.xx or 17.12.xx drivers and multiple cards. Either use the Claymore config file to apply the overclock and undervolt settings at runtime, or use OverNdrive tool to create overclocking profiles for your cards as explained on www.mining.help. If you want to use Afterburner with multiple cards you need to use the AMD blockchain drivers and you are limited to 8 AMD cards.

Guys how do minimise the no of stale shares...i grt aroumd 5 to 10% every 10 min...i m mining on ethermine..apart from tht evrytyn s working fine...
The 4 Billion share difficulty that Ethermine uses is too low for the 15 second block times since the Byzantium fork. I switched to Nanopool that uses a 10 Billion share difficulty and my estimated hashrate on Nanopool is much closer to my reported hash rate.

I'm a proponent of cards that run cool without having to crank the fans up to 80%+, which wears out the fans quickly. I'm a big fan of the tri-fan cards with good heatsinks like the MSI Duke, TRIO, ASUS STRIK and Zotac AMP Extreme. Cards that run cool overclock better and typically last longer. Cheaper cards usually skimp on good heatsinks and cooling. You won't regret paying more for cards with better cooling.

With the Claymore dual miner you can use the -di parameter to index the cards you want to use or the -platform parameter to only use AMD or Nvidia cards. More info on how to use them is in the README.txt

Sounds like too much overclock or undervolt. Try lowering the memory overclock by 50 MHz or increasing the power limit on the GPU's that are crashing.

Nope. I've run the ASRock H110 Pro BTC+ with 13 mixed RX 480/580 on ethOS and Windows with the latest AMD compute drivers and it's been rock solid for weeks. The one issue with this board is you need to file down the soldering on back of the x1 connectors on risers and cover them with two pieces of electrical so they don't short out, because the PCI-E slots are to close on the motherboard.

With a modded Bios on RX 470/480 and 570 cards you need to use the AMD pixel patcher to bypass the signature check or you will have a code 43 error in the Windows Device Manager and they won't work. Apply the patcher after installing or updating the AMD driver and reboot. If you are still having trouble, try removing the drivers in safe mode using DDU, install the latest AMD driver, apply the pixel patcher and toggle compute mode on in AMD settings for all the cards. https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher
