At this rate we hit .005 in less than 4 hours. And that is even before the article is out. I guess a quality coin like dark will always meet high demand.
+1 on bringing the new website out
Maybe even 0.01 in the coming week. The rise seems exponential when it happens and we're starting from a higher level than the last one. I was a little off.

so high price, everyone should be careful
lol, who would buy at these prices? i'd say don't be a future bagholder, but really you're probably going to be a "in the next 48 hours" bagholder people were saying that at 0075... HE was saying that, he said "in few hours it will go down". lol

just to be sure..you can switch off your local machine after launching your remote node with it?
yes. And you can throw the wallet.dat file into cold storage as well. Sure ? Pretty sure. I'll describe how I did. On my local machine I have vmware installed. I sent 1000 multiples of dark to the vmware wallet. Encrypted. Shutdown and restart with masternode point to ip. Shutdown, save wallet.dat in cold storage. Repeat numerous times. When done, I shutdown vmware and ips are registered. They are still registered even though the ips themselves are shutdown. Hope this helps. And you did the same thing with the masternode still on the list ? If so : to tell to the network that YOUR_SERVER_IP is a valid masternode (so no need to keep the local wallet running) And you have to run it again to tell to the network to stop using YOUR_SERVER_IP.

Some say that it's possible, but I don't think so. The local wallet has to say to the network "I'm on". That's why I think that it's better to have 2 servers : one (private) running darkcoind with the 1000DRK and the other (public) with an empty wallet. I can see why they say its possible, when i switch off my local machine the ip of the remote remains on the list. It has done for a long time, I have check with multiple wallets and they all list it. Hmmmmm. The list is updated every 30 minutes so it's not impossible. But if you say that the IP is there beyond that, they are right.

just a question. I shutdown my masternodes today, however the ip addresses are still showing up on the list command. Is this normal? Do I have to issue masternode stop from the wallet that contains 1000 drk? The ip is no longer active and yet is still displayed.
Longer than 30 minutes ? yes, it was earlier today....~4ish?. I can give a list of the ips that were attached to the vms that were hosting the masternodes if that helps. Also, it was a remote set-up....the way TanteStefana describes in the darkcoin thread. On the local machine : It's still running on your local machine and saying to the network that YOUR_SERVER_IP (-masternodeaddr=YOUR_SERVER_IP) is the IP of the masternode.

Did you seriously believe that djslick didn't know about the other coins using X11 ? And that old debate about the cons of anonymity... Smell like trolling. (For what X11 coin ?)

can someone please tell me if there is a darkcoin sistercoin which does not use the darksend feature? i happen to think that an anonymizing feature like this is actually not a selling point, and infact a point of contention for future adoption. bitcoin and litecoin have openly rejected any ideas to implement such a feature. Blackcoin's new PR firm sure is doing its thing!
Can I suggest that if there was a PR firm involved in that broadcast in any way that I would suggest they need to be fired immediately. I wouldn't put my money in the hands of anyone who presents themselves publicly looking like that with the intent of informing or giveing anyone confidence in their product. They may all be fine people, or even technically good at what they do, but that is a horrible representation. If I walked into a bank and saw those people standing there I wouldn't hand them a single dollar and ever expect to get it back. Presentation is everything... suits, no sunglasses, well lit, not waving your hands in front of the camera like a little kid... I could go on and on. Please, please please do not ever think of doing something like that.... Just my .02. Almost my thought, the concept is great but they looked like mmorp gamers on teamspeak. The best (worst) is the guy of cryptsy with the brown sheet behind him... wow

why is there a guy from cryptsy on the call? I don't know what he drinks but that must be good.

Man... I was doing so well. Actually bought a few thousand coins at .005! Then I thought: I bet it will go lower! And sold... at .005. I was one of the monkeys AGAIN this time. True to my name.
But this is the first flash crash I experienced as a trader (only started recently). So lesson learned.
Since I got my first DRK, I never sold once. I believe in the long term value of the coin, so if I sell 1 DRK now I consider that I potentially gave up $1000. Plus I don't have enough free time to day trade

I was thinking about doing an IPO to open up the market to buy DRK for creating master nodes for those investors that have money but not the time, expertise, etc.,?
Flawed thinking?
The problem I see with this : one entity controls and manages a large amount of masternodes for those investors ---> centralization.
