Gnosis raised $12.5 million in April 2017 and they still have not released a game yet.  Their website still states:


Augur raised $5 million near the beginning of 2015, stacked their team with 13 members and 7 advisors (including Vitalik Buterin).  After 2.5 years, they only have a simple beta demo for testing.  StockBet’s app already has more features.

Wagerr raised $10 million to do sports betting.  There is still no game, no prototype nor app.

We have not raised a cent yet and we already have an app that you can use on thousands of stocks, ETFs and now on CryptoCurrencies!

Every coin is getting a lashing right now.

They are not scams.

But Ethereum faces the risk of being hit by regulators for being a security.

They also face the risk of manipulating a security when they hard forked because of DAO.

I've seen that video.  Do you really think he explains how he's going to enable parallel processing from that one slide?

I'm not saying that he definitely won't be able to pull it off.  But it's going to take many very smart OS level programmers, not necessarily blockchain programmers, because parallel processing is very difficult at the OS level.  I wish he does pull it off, because it will benefit many projects, including ours.

I think this parallel processing is what is going to make or break EOS.  There is no scam in regards to the EOS token, not launching the blockchain and leaving it up to the community to do so.

I don't think it's a scam.  I think they will map out the EOS tokens onto the cryptographic tokens on the EOS blockchain.

I'm more concerned about their ability to enable parallel processing. 

The biggest selling point of EOS is its claim that it can process millions of transactions per second.  To do this, Larimer said that they will enable parallel processing.  PP is extremely difficult.  It takes teams and teams of programmers to enable this on a single computer.  I don't see how EOS is going to do this over many distributed remote computers.

I read their white paper and it does not explain how they will achieve parallel processing.  Based on such little information, the probability is that they will fail.  If they fail, then EOS will be similar to Bitshares.

Maybe they know more than they are disclosing in the white paper.  If they pull off parallel processing, it will be a monumental achievement.

I think this is the biggest risk with buying EOS.

If they sell 200,000,000 EOS Tokens for 400,000 ETH, then the price is 0.002 ETH per EOS Token.

They're selling 2,000,000 EOS Tokens per day after the first round.  If they take in 4K ETH per day, then the selling price is 0.002 ETH per EOS Token.

If they have a total circulation of 1,000,000,000 EOS Tokens, then the market cap valuation is 2,000,000 ETH (one billion X 0.002 ETH per token) or $600,000,000 (if ETH = $300).

That's still a very high market cap for an ICO.

They don't give a good explanation of how they're going to do parallel processing, which I think will be incredibly difficult to do over remote, distributed nodes.  I think the odds are stacked against them, so this will be a major feat if they can pull it off.  Maybe they can with the $70 million that they raised already, by hiring a large team of crack programmers.  Even then, it won't be easy.

Fuserleer:

If I'm reading you right, EOS will fail in enabling parallel processing and therefore fail in providing millions of transactions per second.  Radix will have a radically different structure, a horizontal structure for blocks, and this is the only way to provide millions of transactions per second?  Will you be doing parallel processing?

So, Radix is going to compete with Ethereum, EOS, Lisk, Ark and Iota and will be the only solution that can pull off millions of transactions per second in the long run for DApps and smart contracts.  Correct?

What about the other 3.0 projects that you mentioned?  How do they stack up against Radix?

Will each DApp have access to and use of a database on Radix?  If so, what kind of database?  SQL?

Will Radix (or any project) enable DApps to set up and run cron jobs?

EOS claims that "if you can build a website, you can build a DApp" on EOS.  Are you making the same claim?

There is a lot of criticism of Lisk using Javascript.  Have you resolved all of these criticisms with Scrypto?
