701  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where do I get free Bitcoin? The maintained list of verified free Bitcoin Sites. on: March 14, 2014, 03:42:42 PM
I have one question www.primedice.com is also free faucet and why is this not here in list  Smiley

Looks like a gambling site to me.  The only gambling sites in the list are ones that give out free Bitcoin that one can withdraw freely; without requirements to use them at the site.  Does this site do that?

Also non-free sites where one can 'earn' or 'win' BTC require a lot of good feedback from the community before they are added to the "not exactly free but popular earn Bitcoin" category.

Thanks

Also got some stats on Dustbinhead faucet (at last!), and have doubled rewards (now up to 30 satoshis per hit, every 30 mins). See, told you I would.  Kiss

Every time I try it just returns a smiley face and doesn't send anything to my microwallet account.

how do I unzip it?

You may already have a program for unzipping zip files on your system.

Right click on the zip file and choose an option that says something like: "Extract files..." or "Extract here"

If that doesn't work download a program like winrar ( do a search on google ).
There are many such extraction programs one can download for free.
I use a version of winrar that I have had for many years. I don't know what the best program is these days.

On this page:
https://github.com/cantonbecker/bitcoinpaperwallet

Look in the bottom right for the 'Download ZIP' link.
Click that to download bitcoinpaperwallet-master.zip.

Unzip that and everything should be in the correct place.
Disconnect from the internet and doubleclick on generate-wallet.html to open it in your browser.

Another stupid question! Does it matter which of the 2 links above I use?

No, one is general. The other is to the html itself. But you will want to download the images as well. Put them is a folder under where you have the html file.

The easiest thing to do is go to https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com/
disconnect from the internet and then push the "Generate Keys & Print Paper Wallets" link, and then just follow the directions.
It all runs from javascript in your browser just like the version you can download.

Freebitcoinz.tk is working again for me. Some say they have a problem with the captcha. Anyone else having problems?

DailyFreeBitcoin seems to be down or gone. Will watch it to see if it comes back soon.

Thanks for your reply. Do you think bitcoinpaperwallet is as good as bitaddress?

Why trust this site?

This generator is based on BitAddress.org, the most well established and trustworthy open-source engine for generating addresses using your own browser's JavaScript engine. No crypto-code is run on this web server, and no addresses are transmitted over the Internet. If you don't trust this service (or pseudorandom number generators in general) you can roll dice, shuffle cards, or supply your own "vanity keys". For added security, you can download this wallet generator from GitHub and run it offline...

Find more information at that site.

Im looking at their website and cant really get my head around how it works.

If you us a normal address is there a minimum you can get? Now I have requested the payout of 3500 is that the end? Is that 3500 gone?

"Payments are sent via Microwallet.org. Your withdrawn funds if lower than 5800 Satoshi are stored there and released to your BTC address when equal to or greater than 5800 Satoshi to minimize fees!"

It seems 'you' don't need a microwallet account but 'they' use that service to store your balance until it gets above 5800 Sat, at which point it will then be sent to your wallet.

You don't want to withdraw anything less than ~ 5500 Sat to your wallet because that would be dust. The transaction would likely never confirm and if it did make it to your wallet you would have a hard time spending it.

Please let us know how things work out for you once you get above 5800 total.

Btw, microwallet has proven to be reliable and is the best way to get aggregated payouts from most of these faucets.

Is Freebitcoinz.com not paying out? :S
Damn, I was just about to reach the withdrawal limit.

Not for a while now. The last payout I saw from them was Feb. 4th. The last word from the owner/operator I saw was on Feb. 18th and he said he would get back to it in two weeks. That didn't happen and so it is off the list.

This one isn't paying out even though it has BTC available (apparently) Scam?

http://www.dailyfreebits.com/faucet

Do you use a microwallet username instead of a bitcoin address?
If so did you get over the 3500 Satoshi minimum?

Or if you used a BTC address instead did you see this note on their page?
"Payments are sent via Microwallet.org.Your withdrawn funds if lower than 5800 Satoshi are stored there and released to your BTC address when equal to or greater than 5800 Satoshi to minimize fees!"

Thanks for the report.

Freebitcoinz.tk seems to be up again.
718  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where do I get free Bitcoin? The maintained list of verified free Bitcoin Sites. on: March 12, 2014, 09:32:03 PM

I keep getting "Invalid captcha, try again!" on freebitcoinz.tk :-/
yes same here I try 10 time every time message invalid captcha I think faucet is dried just because of this showing this message again and again

I am getting this:
"Can't connect to MySQL, check the settings in the index.php. Error: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'fdb7.freehostingeu.com' (111)"

Will give it a little while to see if it comes back, but for now will give it a *.

It seems to be working again... for me anyway. Anyone still having problems?

Hey all, I just launched a microwallet.org faucet at http://coinomega.com
Let me know what you think. I'd love to get added to the list.

Thanks for the submission. If it pays out to microwallet it should be easy to confirm payment and be added to the list.
