701  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Biggest Crypto Mistake: Shorting Bitcoin on: June 11, 2024, 07:43:16 PM
But here's the golden rule: Never bet against Bitcoin.
Op I would like to tell you that if someone is master of shorting then Bitcoin isn't a bad asset for the purpose. I personally know some traders who only short crypto assets including Bitcoin and they have made a lot of profits by doing that.

I know I'm also supporter of those who buy and hold Bitcoin but it would be unjust to say that the ones who short it aren't making money out of that shorting process. Surely the ones who short it with leverage are the ones who are at huge risk of losing their capital but as long as one doesn't use leverage then short Bitcoin is safe if that person knows what he/she is doing, and when to open a short position.
702  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your advice for me as a newbie on: June 11, 2024, 07:39:13 PM
I need help as a beginner and I will really appreciate your support in other for me to know more about this forum.
I recommend you to learn about Bitcoin and its creator Satoshi Nakamoto and then try to visit the boards related to Bitcoin on this forum and read important topics at those board.

I suggest you to read threads/topics at board like Bitcoin discussion, Speculation, and Meta board as those are very useful board to learn about Bitcoin and about this forum.

If you already know about Bitcoin and want to learn about this forum only then I suggest you to read topics at Meta board.
703  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could 72K USD be the peak for this bull run? on: June 11, 2024, 07:31:35 PM
As long as we don’t see big whales selling their coins, bitcoin price won’t experience a big crash again.
Yes, I agree the big whale or you can say the huge holders are the ones who protect the current value of Bitcoin and helps it to grow overtime. The day to day traders and others low amount investors can't really cause dips in the price of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin dipped badly to around $66k value today and I believe such dips are normal before a new ATH. Bitcoin's price always go through correction and if next ATH forms somehow then again we may see a correction after that.
704  Other / Meta / Re: Make bitcointalk.org great again: Add a gaming board, already! on: June 11, 2024, 07:15:25 PM
Video games aren't interested to advertise on this forum and that's why there's no board dedicated to video games. It's possible to have a separate board for video games that accept cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin as payment system but the audience to that board isn't much wide on this forum.

Here most of us refer to online gambling as gaming and there's a dedicated sub-board to online gambling on this forum with its own child boards where topics related to gambling are present and most of us are active as part of that board.
705  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this a scam attempt? on: June 10, 2024, 08:59:12 PM
Yes, it's a scam attempt and you should always be careful from such messages. Never ever reply to the ones who send you such messages because their main goal is to steal your Bitcoin holdings and for that they can make so many fake stories.

If you really want to invest in Bitcoin then you should do it yourself and try to learn in depth about Bitcoin personal wallets and cold wallets as such concepts will be much helpful for you, as those will help you to store your Bitcoin safely.
706  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My deep regret and pain in crypto. on: June 10, 2024, 08:52:04 PM
I think you have taken a good step by follow the DCA method to accumulate some Bitcoin. You aren't the only one who has regrets in crypto world.

Most of us have felt that feeling of regret many times and still we feel it sometimes, but it's better to move on instead of focusing on decisions that we haven't taken in past.

Bitcoin is still a great investment and anyone who understands that can make profits from it even by investing in it today.
707  Economy / Gambling / Re: My betting strategies on: June 10, 2024, 08:46:33 PM
Those who understand odds and analyse players are what can I say still strategic. There is a chance that they also check out other things/info as well.
Yes, when it comes to sports betting analysis and odds are very important but on casino games there isn't any strategy that would allow anyone to win if their luck isn't good.

The education isn't much important in casino games because they are mainly dependent on one's luck but in sport betting one's education can be very helpful in winning the bets.
708  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any Melbet representative here? on: June 10, 2024, 08:43:18 PM
So I am looking to see if someone here on the forum can talk then. If there is no representative here, then I don't think they will trust me anyway.
If I'm not wrong then there's no representative of Melbet on this forum. I suggest you to try to contact the casino's team or their e-mail addresses for contacting them. Or you may try to find their representative somewhere else on internet, maybe on an alternative forum?
709  Other / Meta / Re: Quoting from locked threads (SMF patch) on: June 10, 2024, 04:42:28 AM
Another valuable patch by PowerGlove! I never even thought that something like this is possible but when such things are handled by a professional programmer like PowerGlove then surely such things are possible.

I'm very happy to see such feature, although I have tried to quote some locked threads but they aren't working at the moment. I hope soon Theymos may soon implement this amazing feature on the forum's code.
710  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽️ SportBet.one - decentralized sports-betting platform ⭐️ Honest reviews ⭐️ on: June 09, 2024, 07:27:01 PM
It's a really good sign of a legit site Those who don't only care about their own profits but also care about their user I mean gamblers.
Yes, I agree, such quality is part of a good team behind a good and legit casino because as you said most casinos look for their own profit instead of caring about their users. I believe if the SportBet.one continue to do what they claim then surely they can grow very well in short duration.

Most casinos make such promises in their early days but when they start to see so many players and profits then they somehow forget about such promises but I hope SportBet.one isn't part of those casinos but instead part of the casinos who keep their promises no matter how much profit they make.
711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sweet Bonanza vs Gates of Olympus on: June 09, 2024, 07:18:28 PM
He only said best, not profitable and best can also mean that maybe one of them has a good gameplay, graphics, sounds, etc.
I don't think that gamblers are much interested in those details of the games, they want to have profits in games and when they earn good profits from one game then they consider that game best and when they consistently face losses in a game then they consider that game a low quality one.

Gamblers also have their own gambling belief systems and those who have personally got such thoughts understand that gamblers do consider some games more profit worthy than others, and such gamblers try to avoid the games where they face many losses.
712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many Bitcoins do you own or have you collected until now? on: June 09, 2024, 07:13:16 PM
These days it's safe to hide the amount of Bitcoin you own. When you announce on public forum like this about your Bitcoin holdings. For the sake of privacy one should never disclose about his/her Bitcoin holdings to anyone especially on a public forum.

I hold enough amount in Bitcoin and with that I can live enjoy sometime without doing anything but I still believe it's something I would kept private and wouldn't tell anyone about it. I can surely say that the ones who adopted Bitcoin in its early days are the ones who hold quite good amounts even till this day.

I know a few of those have lost their wallet private keys and a few of those have sold their holding when they saw price increase of Bitcoin but there are still some holder who're holding it even till this day and surely they will not sell it until it reaches $1M in value.
713  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bc.game and stake.com originals casino games are 100% a scam on: June 09, 2024, 07:08:01 PM
Ok, please explain to me this porvably fair bullshit, in your own words please, not copy pasting some crap from google.
I'm not someone who copy and paste crap from Google, when I understand and experience something myself then I give my opinion about it.

BC game and stake running a huge scam on their original games. You cannot win. Win 3 in a row and you get followed by 10 losses, every single time.
Can you prove that scam? I'm very sure you won't be able to prove anything against them because you aren't aware of the house edge thing and when you understand that house edge thing then you'll understand that the casino always has advantage over players when it comes to winning but there are some very lucky gamblers who can suppress that house edge and win against it.

All you idiots defending these scam sites are a joke to me.
We aren't defending any of the casinos but whatever you said is purely a theory. When you can't prove something then it's considered as a claim. Most of the gamblers who lose consistently come with such claims but in actual they can't prove anything.
714  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is getting addicted to gambling right or wrong? on: June 09, 2024, 06:58:38 PM
Gambling responsibly is of course a very good thing for anyone to do and they will be able to carry out gambling activities in a reasonable manner and also they can use limited money for gambling
Yes, gambling responsibility is one of the most important things a gambler should have, without gambling responsibility one can get addicted to it and destroy his/her life by doing that. I believe every gambler should learn about it and implement it in their gambling schedule, and by doing that they will be safe from the problems that are created because of irresponsibility.
715  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could 72K USD be the peak for this bull run? on: June 08, 2024, 08:24:15 PM
I will answer your question straightly, the Bitcoin could easily cross $72k this bull run and it may cross it within 2024. I believe we will get the highest value of this bull run during October-December 2025 and till then we should not worry about this bull run's peak.

It's just the middle of bull run and it will continue for many coming months. The bull run isn't intense yet but overtime you'll see huge intensity in this bull run and when that takes place then you'll see many altcoins pumping crazily within hours each day.
716  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is getting addicted to gambling right or wrong? on: June 08, 2024, 08:03:20 PM
There's nothing right or wrong in world of gambling but there are things that could be harmful for gambler and one of such things is addiction. Gambling addiction could create so many problems for the addict and like any other addiction it's hard to get rid of gambling addiction.

Gambling addiction has destroyed lives of many people and that's why it's considered as a very harmful thing one can have from gambling. That's why anyone who knows about gambling addiction suggest others to gamble with responsibility to avoid getting addicted to it.
717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is a fun activity but it has some potential to be profitable sometimes on: June 08, 2024, 07:57:53 PM
one would have to be extremely lucky to experience "exponential profits"(it would be nice if I could experience it).
Yeah, I highly agree with you, one should has to be very lucky in order to win such high amount of profits. To be honest, everyone of us want to be extremely lucky but we all internally know that changing our luck isn't in our hands and that's why it's better to try our luck of wide variety of games.

I was just deceiving myself back then to believe that gambling can make me rich.
That's what most of us think when we start gambling but overtime we understand that whatever we were thinking wasn't right but was some type of illusion of our own mind. That's why one should gamble for fun and with the money he/she can afford to lose.

718  Other / Meta / Re: There's enough merits, if hoarders aren't selfish. on: June 07, 2024, 03:01:45 PM

Mind you, there's a difference between hoarders and merit sources, to begin with.

What's your opinion?
Yes, there's a difference between hoarders and merit sources. The prior ones earn merits to gain sMerits while the later ones get a fixed or varying amount of merits per month. The merit sources could be hoarders if I'm not wrong because it's their decision to send merits to which worthy posts while the hoarders that you tried to mention can't be merit sources unless they properly make a merit source application thread and wait for Theymos's decision.

Now back to the main topic, the sMerits those hoarders earn aren't given to them easily because they try their best to make very high quality posts/threads, and sometimes despite making good quality posts/threads they won't get any merits. The sMerits they earn are 1/2 of the merits the earn from their posts/threads and that's why they contribute those sMerits to either someone whose posts/threads they like or they send it to whoever's posts/threads they prefer. It's their own decision to either hold those sMerits or send those to someone who deserves those sMerits, and no one can or should force them to send or not send the sMerits that they have.
719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the role of home/away matches? on: June 07, 2024, 01:07:51 PM
What do you think is the role of home/away matches? If this probability were expressed in numbers, what would it look like? Is playing at home or away a major factor for analysis or a secondary one?
I think home matches allow a team to play more effectively then away matches because in home matches they have trained for some good time and have played so many matches there and they're also aware of the home environment, and that gives them edge over other teams.

I would still consider that a secondary factor of analysis because a weak team in home matches could easily lose by a tough team as they can quite easily adjust with the environment of new place because of their skillset. I would consider a teams top players as a major factor that decides winning/losing of a match.

If a team's top players are in good health without any health issues or other weaknesses then that gives them way more edge then home environment and that's one the factors which makes results of someone's research positive. I always prefer to go with tough teams as most of the times they can easily win against weak teams.
720  Economy / Gambling / Re: Are there any good betting websites for the upcoming Euro on: June 07, 2024, 01:01:42 PM
Guys can you recommend any good betting websites that are legal and benefeciary?
There are so many good casinos where you can place bets without any worries. Most of the websites that you see on this forum are legit ones but I suggest you to read their terms and conditions carefully before going with them. I also suggest you to check the site that I'm advertising on my signature space as that's also a very reliable website where you can place your bets.
