7021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin at 9.620 ! on: January 18, 2018, 06:56:18 PM
is this the right time to buy ? in the last few hours went down more than 1000 usd thats crazy !

I do hope that you enter when the price is at $96xx because that really a bargain. Wasn't able to get it time though to see that price however, I get a few while the price is just above $10K and I will hold on it for at least 8 months and see where will my investment takes me.

Seems like a bear market turned into a bull rapidly.

Bought plenty of BTC at $10200 mark.

That's nice to see that you also was able to get bitcoin at a discount. I should have sold my car and my jewelries to be able to get back and buy more at that price.  Smiley. But I think I have stored enough, its now waiting game. Looks like the market is all green including altcoins. So this maybe a start of something big in the next days or so.
7022  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: bitcoin prices not rising! should we trade or hold? on: January 17, 2018, 09:25:56 PM
As of now the price of the bitcoin 10,600 dollars and the price continue to decrease but compared to last few hours the price become 9k dollars so this time the price will recover slighlty and I hope it will increase more again in the next few hours.  The better you gonna do right now is to buy bitcoin and hold it for few months to make more profit but if you want to make big profit you can hold it for few yeats.  Don't sell your bitcoin just hold it for futyre purposes because if you sell your bitcoin they have possibility thay you lose a lot of profit.  We need unity here so bitcoin will recover. Just hold and keep buying.

Its almost touching $11K now. Guys, looks like we are in for a rally. Just hold on for dear life. If this holds and breaks $11K, then this will be a good sign for all of us. And if you have extra funds, put in on the market because it still a good time to enter before the train started to gain steam once more.

Don't exchange it to fiat as you will likely incurred a lose. Don't be another noob investors, who just sells when the price is dipping. Act like what we all been doing for years. Hold during dip, and buy more bitcoins. And just like what others have said here, it will likely rebound and you will see a lot of profit in the future.
7023  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Ways To Profit From A Market Crash on: January 17, 2018, 08:30:47 PM
This is what usually i prefer at the time of crash.

3)Hold On For Dear Life

and that is what mentioned there. It really gives very good return in near future like 5-6 months. My client paid me $60 worth of Ethereum when Ethereum was of $200 and i just dumped it in coinbase , now it was 5X of that so really this works well.

 Grin

Indeed. We don't have a choose do we? Hodling on for Dear life is the best way to describe what we are going in right now. But since most of us are here are literally bag holders, this is the best option left for us.

Quote
4)Exiting To Fiat Currencies

I don't know though if you guys are going to follow this strategy. But I'm not converting it to Fiat and re-investing it to something like precious stones (GOLD) or stock market. Would rather stay in crypto and wait for the long haul.

Quote
5)Shorting Bitcoin

I think this can be done successful. However, it has high risk for me. Plus the fact that I'm no expert trader, I would shy from this strategy. Again, those who are doing this knows very well how the market works and take advantage of the will price that we are seeing, buy at <$10K and sell it around $10100-$10300 quickly.
7024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to Earn with Altcoins on: January 17, 2018, 08:13:16 PM
yes airdrops and bounties are the simpliest way to enter in this world, you can earn by you effort without any investment Smiley

Yes, and it also encourages a lot of newbies to create multiple accounts and join airdrops.

Bounty Campaigns, airdrops, mining etc are some ways by which you can get some profit without any investment. But you must identify a good ICO for that otherwise your efforts will be waste.

But I would rather join Bounties or Signature campaigns because its risk free, as compare to mining or trading, high risk and sometimes low reward. Signature campaigns is the viable option to earn with altcoins, because all you have to do is join, follow the requirements and wait till the end of the ICO to get your rewards. Will only take a few minutes or hours of your day. But you will need to have patience as well because most of them lasted for more than 4 weeks and additional weeks to get your rewards.
7025  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Virtues of the Great HODL on: January 17, 2018, 07:31:05 PM
Portfolio down abt 88% but can't sell now. It doesn't make sense. It's better to hold on the down trend isn't new but this magnitude is something new. Volatility is been explained in a new form.

Hold on

Correct, my portfolio is also down, funny this is, before the slump, I have thought of moving some funds and cash it out. Unfortunately, the crash happens, damping my chance of doing it, so I have no choice but to Hodl tight right now.

I believed that most of us here are really for the long haul, specially in bitcoin. This is just another test and I'm sure that it will be pass with flying colors again. We have so much optimism that we can recover from all of this. And for long time holders, this is not new to them. I'm sure that they are not shaken, only those who are really weak and afraid of the situation will really do the opposite and sell while the price is going down.
7026  Economy / Economics / Re: Bankers are killing the cryptocurrency market on: January 17, 2018, 07:00:07 PM
Bankers has already continuing to waged war against bitcoin and crypto, but I don't know if they had a hand on the current market crash. This correction is deemed to happened, no need to over think what's the cause of all of this. Just don't get worried to much mate, its not good for your health.  Grin

We have seen this kind of event before, bitcoin crashed, bitcoin rebounded, bitcoin getting all time high. Rinse and Repeat.

The crash has something to do with the Asian market market. Some say its because of the Chinese New Year, China and South Korea banning everything crypto related. But as I have said, bitcoin's been there, done that already. Just have faith it in you will, and soon the price will many times, as we have witness in the past.
7027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we support altcoins ? on: January 17, 2018, 06:43:18 PM
Of course, we are obliged to support altcoins, since many of them perform really useful functions, and some outperform bitcoin dozens of times.
Not only we are obliged, since altcoins is a part of cryptocurrencies and we should support this for the improvement of the entire community. Our aims towards cryptoworld is to have a long life to stay with us and people will surely enjoy having investment as both bitcoin and altcoins grows together.

Of course altcoins is also a good way to make more money, right?

Its a thriving business and others says that we need to diversify, so its really good if you have a portfolio that includes altcoins are well. Recently (before the crash), altcoin is really enjoying a healthy ecosystem. Most of them achieved all time high from the second half of December last year up to 2 days ago. And I'm sure that a lot of investors enjoyed so much profit that they stay away from bitcoin for the time being.

But even though the market is crashing, I will still support them once everything is clear. Right now, I'm not making any move because I still observing everything from behind. But since everything is in red, its fun to go and try to buy some cheap altcoins and then just trade them when this slumped is over.
7028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO price predictions? on: January 15, 2018, 09:37:37 PM
Solid project but market cap is already too high...

Damn, NEO is now available in the KOREAN market with NEO/KRW pairing.  They are about to take the #1 volume and they are paying a $250 kimchi premium.  NEO will not be sub $200 for long.

LOL. I laugh with the Kimchi thingy. South Korean market is really at a premium price. Remember when bitcoin is at a premium and trading way above their Western counterpart? I'm sure that NEO will be pump hard as well. That's why I'm surprised to see it increasing at 25% or more. Its will be called the Korean Ethereum now.  Grin

I hope I didn't miss the boat, I have predicted in December that the next coins that is going to be pumped are NEO and damn I'm correct. Still holding and see how it goes. You gonna love our South Korean brothers on the other side.  Grin
7029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rebellious on: January 15, 2018, 08:58:12 PM
How do you see its future ?
Prices dropped just after it got listed on bit-z but do you think it's got potential ?
What price do you think it can reach ?

Just like any other coin that is listed initially in a exchange, you will see a massive dump because those who are holding it are going to sell it like pancakes.

If the community ist strong it will go to the moon. But if there are some people only for the quick buck, it will block the rise. Let's wait for the token burn on 14. Feb.

Oh OK. If the token is going to burn then there will be a limited supply. And when the demand goes high in the next 6 months I'm sure that the price will go up. But we will never know.

How do you see its future ?

I don't see any potential in Rebellious.
The ANN was deleted and could be traded only in bit-z. It's not worth the time and efforts.

Honestly, I also don't see any potential on the coins. Just pure pump-and-dump. I suggest you go out and exit will there is still time. Sorry to burst the bubble to you guys.
7030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN on Move Again !!! on: January 15, 2018, 07:49:50 PM
What would be the price of bitcoin in the end of January, Will bitcoin make another record or this would be a small pump???
Opinions Needed..?

My prediction is 20k $ again or above ..!!!

Still early to tell dude. Its just above $14K last time I checked coinmarketcap. Looks like just a small pump. However, it could be another consolidation leading up to another bull run. Let's see how it goes if it crosses $15K in the next few days, I think we are in for another rally, however, if it continues to move around the $13K-$14K then this looks like a small pump. Investors just constantly moving their funds around from bitcoin to altcoin ecosystem.

I am agree with you but Bitcoin will be 50k$ soon now bitcoin stable and altcoin pump.So just wait for 6 month bitcoin play game again and break all record

LOL. Let's just be realistic here. I say let's target $20K. This has been a big barrier to break, if we ever surpass it up to the end of the month, then it will open up a lot of possibilities in the future.
7031  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade without identification? on: January 15, 2018, 07:24:24 PM
Hi,

The exchanges I saw till now demands a copy of my ID card to let my buy or sell anything. Is there anyone that dont ask for it? Im not happy with let my ID through internet, and I dont know how can they do with it. Is it possible to do antoher way?

Thanks

Its for you own safety and I doubt that the exchanges will share its database to another party. Well there's are exchanges that don't require you to submit your ID, like Binance for example.

I don't think that they will share you ID from third party because it won't bring any benefits on their end.

Its possible but only upto a certain extent. Like Most of the exchanges have 1 BTC withdrawal limit for unverified accounts. While for some exchanges like Binance the limit is 2 BTC. Except that you can prefer decentralized exchange if you aim to trade higher amounts but decentralized exchanges have their own demerits ranging from low volume, poor interface and lack of customer support.

I don't think that I can get to withdraw even 1 bitcoin so Binance is a safe play for me to trade, although lately they seems to be laggy. As for the decentralized exchange, yes it has advantage and disadvantage specially the lack of customer support.
7032  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: my ether wallet can be hacked??/ on: January 12, 2018, 10:27:04 PM
With the massive number of people joining the crypto sphere, hackers and online criminals are really targeting us. MEW already put up a lot of advisory on their website on how not to get hack. However, they are still users complaining that they MEW wallet has been compromised. If they just followed every steps, I don't think that a hack can be possible.

The first thing to check before entering your private key is the website itself. Better bookmark it, so that it can prevent you from typing it directly, which 5 out of 10 you will get it wrong. And don't just click anything you see interesting in the Internet. Chances are, you are going to be phished. Its really up to us on how not to be hacked, its our own responsibility.
7033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin prices have decreased sharply on: January 12, 2018, 10:07:21 PM
what exactly did the south korea government decide ?

Its still up, and I don't think they have made the decision to turn it back to crypto. So there's a lot of FUD surrounding their decision. Last time I heard, there was a petition among locals to the South Korean government not to ban bitcoin. Although we can't deny that something is going on with the South Korean trading exchanges. They are almost at a premium price. That's why government is likely looking at that issue and the decision hinges on what they are going to find out.

We have this seen this before. When China suddenly suspends its trading platform around March and investigate if there's serious manipulation behind. I just hope that South Korea government though doesn't follow the footsteps of its neighbor and suddenly shutdown everything related to cryptocurrency. We are going to be affected by it for sure.
7034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should focus more on saving bitcoins than selling your bitcoins on: January 11, 2018, 07:20:33 PM
I believe bitcoin will increase in value and that is definitely a reason to hold. However in the long term there is a risk that too many people hold and new comers won't invest in bitcoin, retailers won't adopt bitcoin, and then what is the point of a currency you can't use? Bitcoin needs to be available to buy and trade if the currency is to survive.

That's why bitcoin is really turning to be just another investment platform. At the beginning no one would thought that the price could go as high as $20K? And when the big whales and big boys join the market, suddenly the rules has changed. It now becomes a store of wealth.

But for us casual investors who have small amounts stash in our wallet, I believed that its better to hold for long term and not sell our coins. Because we are small and we want to really earn a huge financial profit. We can only see this happening if we will just hold and save some, but at the same time have a extra coin that we are going for trading purposes only and do not touch the coins that are for the long haul.
7035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LITECOIN WILL SKYROCKET TO THE MOON! on: January 11, 2018, 06:50:53 PM
I don't think that will be happen bro.. Skyrocket thing past, that was $70 and you had to catch it that time. I got from $70 and sell from $313 when LTC founder Charlie Lee announced that he is selling all his Litecoins. So i think to buy LTC now would be a big mistake.. Anyway good luck to all..

I also bought at 70$, but I am still holding. Why would it be a mistake to buy now? Charlie Lee sold all his LTC, but I still believe he has done it with good intentions.

He is involving himself to another project that's why he sold all his Litecoin and he even confirmed that its not a big chunk of Litecoin. He is moving to another project that will conflict with Litecoin, another reason for his departure. Although its really hard not to speculate that the price of Litecoin will go down when he exited, which is what we are seeing right now.

I also bought Litecoin around $40, I just had a hunched that its going to be pump but I have also exited at the top price and didn't bother to invest on it again because of the Lee departure.

But yeah, its really very fast based on my experience, it bitcoin could be like that, the price of it could be beyond $20K but today. Anyways, let's see how it goes for Litecoin. it has huge potential, its just a matter of time again before it will be pump and push the price to new all time highs.
7036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash on: January 11, 2018, 06:20:00 PM
BCash is fake bitcoin, which supported by Korea, it`s... copper? Look at markets, where Bcash is trading now... Bithumb! BCASH = very big pump, no more.

There are a lot of supporters of BCH not only South Korea. Its just the trading platform their is conducive to pump and pump coins like we have seen lately in Ripple. That's why coinmarketcap delisted South Korean trading platform to it's global average price. South Korean exchanges listed almost all coins at a premium price.

Where will be BCH if Lightning protocol will be applied to BTC ? Who will need it , or buy it ? I doubt bitcoin cash have a good long-term perspectives , but this is crypto , so everything could happen .
Lightning won't make any miracles overnight.
Its a slow process companies like coinbase, bitpay, coin payments etc should enable lightning network support if the wide adoption wants to take place. I'm not a BCH fan but still lightning won't solve all problems instantly.

Of course it will not resolved everything in an instant. I'm sure that if its deployed, so much questions needs to be answered. But it will at least a good direction to begin with. A lot of stakes is already in the line if we can't find a solution to the every growing issues of high fees and slow confirmation.
7037  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia whats up? on: January 11, 2018, 05:47:54 PM
interesting. so does that mean some of us small traders are irrelevant to the industry?

No, we, casual traders are relevant as big whales, small or big traders have a way to contribute to the booming of cryptocurrency. So think that we are immaterial as far as trading volumes is concern.

I do not know why Cryptopia has suspended LITECOIN markets, but what I do know is that a lot of exchanges have scaling up problems and cannot cope with the demands and new wave/influx of people coming into these cryptocurrency trading markets. I suspect they may be doing this to free up their trade engine for the more highly traded markets like Ethereum and Bitcoin, this is my take on this matter.

This is also what I'm thinking. Litecoin had it's day. But Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple are now the dominant trading coins. Maybe they are just freeing up their engine to accommodate those big 3 right now. Although Litecoin is still at high price, its values keeps going down. Just my assumption. Maybe we can here what's the reason behind in the coming days.
7038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth is pumping incredibly, Should I sell or hold tight? on: January 10, 2018, 02:59:59 PM

Hello Everyone,
I  feel so happy when ethereum price pump! I have some eth,  I don't know is this the right time to sell? or need I hold for more time?

Please suggest me. Thank You everyone

No one for sure when to know what the top price not just of Ethereum but just like other coins. The best thing to do is to look and read news about Ethereum. Bitcoin is going down, and for sure those who are dumping it and moving to Ethereum. That's a good sign for me. However, when you see that there's a lot of FUD surrounding Ethereum, better be prepared to sell it because FUD scares people away.

I still have some Ethereum as well and I was quite surprise that I have like gain 1/3 of my initial invesments. And there another wallet that I have that have dust amounts, like .08 ETH that has gain value overtime as well.

But I would advise to just really hold on it long term. Ethereum is shaping to be the best coins for me so far, not unless bitcoin solves its scalability issues, Ethereum will always a good coin to invest long term.
7039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big Business pressing Bitcoin? on: January 10, 2018, 02:08:37 PM
According to some sources, Microsoft has restored the bitcoin payment after reaching an agreement with their provider (most likely Bitpay).
source: http://www.news.com.au/finance/business/technology/microsoft-restores-bitcoin-payments-after-working-to-ensure-lower-amounts-would-be-redeemable/news-story/1c875957f470944709497dcfa6ec5fd2
but of course, this won't get a lot of press coverage because the media only cares about the negative news about bitcoin.

Either way, with all the problems bitcoin is facing, I doubt any big company wants to implement bitcoin as a payment method. And not only BTC but also other cryptocurrencies since most of the time the usual statement against adding bitcoin (aside from high fee and long confirmation times) is volatility, something that every cryptocurrency faces in the crypto market.

If this is true then Microsoft is really pushing bitcoin to gain mainstream. Them stops accepting bitcoin just a few days ago took the market to another dip, although its says that is only temporary. Maybe this is want they are doing behind, working with provider, which I have to agree that it will be Bitpay.

Steam as I have said that volatility and the high cost of transaction was the main reason behind shutting down it acceptance of bitcoin. But if they would do the same route as Microsoft (trying to give a service provider), I'm sure that they will start accepting bitcoin in the future.
7040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microsoft Removes Bitcoin on: January 10, 2018, 12:15:28 PM
why Microsoft Removes Bitcoin as Payment Option for Microsoft Storew?

Yes, the stop bitcoin as payment because of the same reason that everyone here is bitching about, high cost of fees and very slow confirmations. I can't imagine any companies now accepting bitcoin because of that issues. Even Steam, who have been an advent supporter of bitcoin stop its support because its not viable business wise.

However, as I understand it, Microsoft decision is only temporary. However, if the dramatic increase in the fees to process a transaction can't be answered, there will be a lot of business that will driven to make the same move as Steam and Microsoft.

I'm not aware though if they would open its doors for altcoins such as Litecoin or any other coins in general.
