7041  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: does operating a fullnode favourize my transactions? on: November 27, 2017, 05:43:39 PM
Hello forum

does operating a fullnode (bicoin core installed with the complete blockchain) favourize my transactions?

Thank you for your feedback!

Joe

Running a full bitcoin node will not promote your transaction or will speed up its confirmation.

There are some other benefits from running a full node, like helping the network, also, it is safer since you will not have to trust an external server when broadcasting your transactions, in addition to that, in case of hard fork, you will have the possibility to choose which blockchain you want to support.
Keep in mind that you need 150Go of free disk space and at least 2Go of RAM to run a bitcoin node, besides you have to keep your computer running for more than 6 hours daily.
7042  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Linking fees to fiat? on: November 27, 2017, 04:59:33 PM
If I understood your proposal correctly, I think you want the transaction fee to be fixed using a FIAT currency (then, automatically convert it to BTC)!!
Well, I think you can do that without waiting for a fork to happen, just put the amount you want to pay (you can use a USD to BTC converter) when sending your transaction, many wallets offer the possibility to define Tx fee.
The problem is if miners will accept to confirm it when you add low fee.
7043  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Wallet on: November 26, 2017, 11:52:00 PM
To create a wallet account, the first is login and open your email, very many sites that offer online wallet services, you can start with bittrex, poloniex, localbitcoins and others. Choose one of the wallets that you like and visit the site, then click REGISTER, and follow the next command, hopefully useful.

OP is asking about how to create a wallet app from scratch not creating a wallet account.

I think you will find many online tutorials that will help you build your wallet. And since you are a c# developer it is not going to be hard because you will find a  lot of libraries that you can use.
I hope you will find some useful information here:

I will come back later with more links.
7044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why invest in bitcoin on: November 26, 2017, 11:00:27 PM
Are you serious!! it is obvious and does not require any brilliancy to answer that question.
Investing in Bitcoin is more profitable: "Of all currencies worldwide, Bitcoin yielded greater returns than any for 5 out of the previous 6 years (2011- Bitcoin +1500 percent, 2012- Bitcoin +299 percent, 2013- Bitcoin +5400 percent, 2014- USD +13 percent, 2015- Bitcoin +37 percent, 2016- Bitcoin +130 percent)." You can find more here: https://www.thebalance.com/should-you-invest-in-stocks-or-bitcoin-4121151
Also investing in Bitcoin is really easy and any one can do it. It does not require any experience or a specific knowledge.
7045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Fork in December on: November 26, 2017, 09:45:36 PM
Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin Silver, Bitcoin Dimond... they have no imagination even in choosing names how will they be able to convince the community to support their forks.
We hear about new forks everyday but we never know the real reason behind them.
The good thing is that rumors about forks do not affect bitcoin value anymore, in the contrary, after each fork bitcoin value ascend.
7046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'Fraud,' or the Future of Finance? on: November 26, 2017, 09:11:29 PM
He used to call it a fraud but when bitcoin went up more than six times in price in less than a year he was obliged to change his convictions.

James Dimon declaration can be accepted since he had a reputation as a prudent financier distrustful speculative products  that is why he refused to support Bitcoin.
Not only J. Dimon, many known financiers and bankers are changing their attitude toward Bitcoin and start investing in it because they know that blockchain will be the future of finance.
7047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Re bitcoin can be hacked on: November 25, 2017, 10:42:05 PM
If you want to be safe you should think like a hacker.
First, a hacker will try to hack your passwords throw trojans, malwares or anything to gain access to your computer, so, you have to use a good antivirus and never download a file from an untrusted website.
Then, a hacker can pretend to be your friend to collect as much information as possible such as birth date or best friend name. Those information can be valuable when trying to reset your passwords.
Hacking a human mind is always easier than hacking a software.
7048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia says BTC will never be legalised - do you think we'll see a knock on? on: November 25, 2017, 10:08:13 PM
First of all you should tell us who the ... is Nikolai Nikiforov and why we should care about what he says.
After making some researches i knew that he is the Russian minister of communications.
I think that what he says have no sense taking in consideration the huge number of ICOs started from Russia and not being banned till now.
Governments can not stop bitcoin anymore.
7049  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: My 700 TH/s Bitcoin Farm, LEH, J&K,INDIA on: November 25, 2017, 10:40:56 AM
This is one of the most profitable project I ever seen. Low electricity cost is a plus, 0.007$/KWH is almost negligible.
To be accurate, 640$ is the daily profit from your farm, (I used a Bitcoin mining profit calculator).

I would like to see pics and to hear more about your experience.
7050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin seems outdated on: November 24, 2017, 11:00:03 PM
Honestly,  for someone using Bitcoin for daily expenses and normal purchases it is becoming impractical due to high fees and the long time a transaction can take to get confirmed.
On the other hand, holders and investors are satisfied with the increase of bitcoin value.

I think there will be a fork in the near future that will fix this issues otherwise people will no longer use bitcoin as a payment method.
7051  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best exchange for crypto-currencys? on: November 24, 2017, 10:06:34 PM

Some other altcoins are really hard to exchange with another coin, if you really want to convert a coin that is always available in exchanger you can use etherdelta for it. This is I think the most perfect way to exchange our coin, it can be difficult at first but if you learn about it you can be used to it.

EtherDelta is a great decentralized trading platform an it is really easy to use. The problem is that OP wants to exchange bitcoin which is not possible on ED, you can only trade Ether and Ethereum-based tokens.
Personally, I recommend Bittrex, I have been using it for a long time and the only thing I can complain about is high withdrawal fees.
7052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can I protect my self from being hack of bitcoin on: November 21, 2017, 02:52:42 PM
Just yesterday I come across one youtuber where he says
he just wake up and saw his 50 btc was vanish from his exodus wallet  and also before that another 20 btc was vanish
he says he dont even know how this happen.

pls how can I escape this.

As far as I know, Exodus is a good wallet and it supports 2FA. Therefore, it is most likely the youtuber fault, Iam sure he wasn't careful.

You can make your bitcoin wallet secure and safe by following simple steps:
- always update Antivirus
- Use a strong password
- Backup your wallet
- Encrypt your wallet
- Use two-factor authentication ...
7053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government put on tax on bitcoin on: November 21, 2017, 02:33:27 PM
If governments adopt this choice, no one will use bitcoin as a payment method.
The majority prefer bitcoin because it is free to use and all you have to do is to pay transaction fee which is generally negligible.

Technically speaking, it will be hard to implement taxes on transactions due to the fact that bitcoin network is decentralized and transactions are almost untraceable.
7054  Economy / Economics / Re: will next decade be the bitcoin era ?? on: November 21, 2017, 11:00:37 AM
We are already in the bitcoin era  Cheesy
Many believe that bitcoin will have a bright future and I am one of them.
It is true that cryptocurrency is helping people make respectful income and, also it offers them the possibility to start their project without being controlled by government or being dependant to banks.
7055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction fees grow 1300% on: November 21, 2017, 10:24:09 AM
You can choose a customized fee and your transaction will be confirmed (choose a reasonable fee).
I think your analysis is wrong, take a second look at the chart : https://blockchain.info/charts/cost-per-transaction?timespan=1year
Now take a look at bitcoin price chart: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#charts
You will find that the cost per transaction "in bitcoin not usd" is the same during the whole year, it's just btc price rising.
The chart is about cost per transaction (miners revenue divided by the number of transactions) not transaction fee.
7056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries Banning Crypto Currencies on: November 21, 2017, 09:34:23 AM
Banning bitcoin on those countries have no impact, I don't think there are many people involved in crypto world from these countries.
The only concern for third world governments is how to apply taxes on their citizens that's why they ban bitcoin and prohibit traders from using it since it will be impossible to track money circulating through the digital network.
7057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would make you invest in today's running ICOs? on: November 20, 2017, 11:48:11 PM
All points you mentioned are useful when it comes to determine how credible the ICO is.
To be honest, I don't really care about website design since you can buy a great template with few bucks.
There are many other things you can check as how much the project team invested to advertise their ICO also their previous experience...
It is all about the team, a good tea can make any project succeed.
7058  Economy / Marketplace / Re: LOOKING TO INVEST MY LIFE SAVINGS NEED ADVICE on: November 20, 2017, 10:12:58 PM
Hello Everyone,

I need your help! I have been doing research on what hardware to buy to mine Ether and Bitcoin. I'm investing my life savings so this is really serious for me so if you can help it would mean alot. I have alot of space for equipment so that wont be a problem. I need help figuring out what equipment to buy for ether and bitcoin minning, and how much it will cost me? Any advice will be much appreciated.

Thank you
Smiley

I think you should take your time and think about what you are going to do. It is clear that you are new to mining and don't have enough experience.

At least don't invest all your money, you can start with a small amount and if every thing goes well you can invest more.
I hope we will hear good news about your mining experience in the near future.
7059  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin=easy money on: November 20, 2017, 07:12:43 PM
What do you mean by easy money!! there is no such thing.

You have to work hard to earn money especially bitcoin. No one will send you bitcoin for free, you should do something in return.
It is freelancing: you offer a service and you get paid for it.
The advantage from being paid in bitcoin is low transaction fees and its price growing every day.
7060  Economy / Securities / Re: How do you decide which ICO to invest in? on: November 20, 2017, 06:35:10 PM
There are many ICO and you have to be careful before investing your money in any of them.
Cryptocurrency world is in its first stages therefore it is normal to find many scams and unexperienced people trying to lead big projects.
I advise you to read carefully the whitepaper (many neglect this point), know more about team members behind the project and try to assess the feasibility of the project.
When you choose which ĚCO you will invest your money in, wait for sales, you can get good discount.
