7041  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee Says- If Bitcoin Breaks 100k you can bet it will break a million on: June 27, 2019, 03:53:34 AM
-To date, I am unaware of a single bitcoin prediction that John has missed - maybe you can enlighten me.

Oh buddy. You must have been living under a rock. Pretty much every prediction he's ever made about any cryptocurrency - and especially bitcoin - has been extraordinarily wrong.

Here's just a couple of examples.

December 2017: "Bitcoin now at $16,600.00. Those of you in the old school who believe this is a bubble simply have not understood the new mathematics of the Blockchain, or you did not cared enough to try. Bubbles are mathematically impossible in this new paradigm. So are corrections and all else" (BTC of course was in a bubble which popped less than a month later)

May 2018: “Bitcoin will surpass $15,000 in June. Will dip in July.” (BTC went down from $7500 to $6400 in June)

His predictions are now much more general and he doesn't give dates. All of his altcoin predictions have been dead wrong. Every. Single. One.

The man is a paid liar and everyone who makes investments based on his words stands to lose a great deal of money.
7042  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee Says- If Bitcoin Breaks 100k you can bet it will break a million on: June 26, 2019, 01:57:15 PM
We doubt him, because we are used to the slow nature of fiat money.

I doubt him because he has a propensity for lying and otherwise saying anything that will make him the subject of attention.
7043  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 26, 2019, 02:31:41 AM
Update on transaction fees for those who may be concerned:

I sent a transaction 12 minutes ago with a 21 sat/byte fee ($0.35; recommended is currently 51 sat/byte) and it confirmed in the next block.

I think people in large pay humongous fees either because they are:

a. Roger Ver sending bitcoin to himself in a quest to prove that BTC has high fees
b. sent by people who don't mind sparing a couple extra bucks to guarantee a quick confirmation time

Long story short: there's no reason to pay more than $2 in fees when $0.35 will do just fine.
7044  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitconnect scam on: June 25, 2019, 05:06:05 PM
Oof, that's awful. I feel queasy and already violated just reading the website.

Regardless, thanks for bringing it to our attention.
7045  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Expi - copy/paste project with no team on: June 25, 2019, 04:33:32 PM
nutildah A lying clown, I put trust in the promotion of fraudulent project because I objected to the topic and pointed out that you can not trust the user. Didn't provide any proof.
Clown answer where I advertised this project?

You are 100% owned by the bumping service that bumps this thread and 90% likely to be the same member as all the others. I should have screenshotted your posts but there's already enough evidence to know you are all the same person:

1. You post (exclusively or near exclusively) in the same threads as the bumping service.
2. You have the same Local Time as the bumping service (an obscure Iceland time zone shared by ALL of the bumper accounts).
3. You have the same style of writing as all the other bumper accounts (one or two line shitposts / easily-answerable questions which you respond to as an excuse to add a post toward your contracted quota).

Your service is a clear detriment to the forum. Just because you found a way to evade the no spamming rule
by running multiple accounts doesn't mean you aren't a professional spammer.

Don't fret too much: I will soon open a formal scam accusation against your entire service as the vast majority of threads which you are hired to bump are eventually exposed as scams.
7046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EXPI 🔥 POS/MN 🔥 Application for Payment of Your Knowledge 🔥 on: June 25, 2019, 04:18:10 PM
There is no doubt in my mind this project is a scam -- investors be warned.
If you believe that this project is scam you should open scam accusation. You have to understand that as long as people making profit from this project they will fight with you no matter if project is scam or not. If you are really much longer here than me you should have know that.

That's a great idea. OK done.

WARNING. THIS PROJECT IS LIKELY TO BE A SCAM.

Please read here for more details.

This is a reminder for newcomers and others potentially thinking of investing in this project. It is highly likely to be a scam and you are warned against doing so.

The project manager can make their case as to why its not a scam in the above mentioned scam accusation against this project.
7047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀[ANN] Invech Token IEO - Licensed Crypto Exchange & Blockchain Smart City🚀 on: June 25, 2019, 04:11:44 PM
After 17 days of IEO phase 1, 36.90% of our tokens were successfully sold

Thats an absolute shame because I'm 100% certain your project is a scam. Its late here but tomorrow I will be writing up a scam accusation against your project. Your thread will be labeled as a dangerous investment and you will have the chance to present your case as to why it is not in my thread.
7048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EXPI 🔥 POS/MN 🔥 Application for Payment of Your Knowledge 🔥 on: June 25, 2019, 07:49:38 AM
Funny how the project manager completely ignores the fact that his project was just outed as a scam to continue promoting it, like nothing happened.

"Nothing to see here, folks!" LOL.

7049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EXPI 🔥 POS/MN 🔥 Application for Payment of Your Knowledge 🔥 on: June 25, 2019, 04:46:09 AM
That’s sad. But I think we need to wait comments about this from team.

As part of the bumping service hired to promote this scam, you are complicit in helping it. You know that this project has been outed as a likely scam yet you are still here promoting it. What does that say about you?
LOL, you already specify where people write, and where there is no? You really, something with the head, you're stuck in a fraud, accounts that have never posted in this topic and that there is no post about this project. I will not defend this project, I did not delve into it. I'll tell you, you're a clown and a liar...

You and all your accounts have been promoting a scam by bumping it. Team has been silent on these accusations because they know they are true. If you and your bumper accounts continue to promote this project, you will be assisting in the promotion of a scam.

"I will not defend this project, I did not delve into it."

Yes you did. Just not with this particular account.
7050  Economy / Reputation / Re: realr0ach is a danger to newbies and guests. on: June 25, 2019, 04:17:13 AM
Yes, always. generalizations are not always wrong, broad generalizations by their nature include erroneous conclusions by the very nature of their over inclusiveness. I am not confusing anything, this is just you vomiting up more word salad to try to confuse the situation since you are running out of arguments.

Wrong. For instance, "Everything living eventually dies." That's a broad generalization that is 100% correct. That's just one example of many.

I am glad you can tell me what my intent was, ever think of working for Mrs. Cleo? No one on this forum really believes Vod was not out of line with what he did, your false equivocation and selective interpretation of my rating to try to sell further abuse is convincing no one.

We're talking about one issue and you keep deflecting it and bringing up another issue. If you were tagging Vod solely on the basis of doxing Og, why wouldn't you have limited your verbiage to that subject?

You have some nerve talking about double standards when you yourself pretend your attempt to sell your account is ok while you condemn others for the same act. You are not one to point fingers.

Now you're resorting to bringing up a tired issue which only the trolliest of trolls continue to rehash. I've never tagged people for attempting to sell their own accounts BTW, only for being professional account sellers. But don't let little details get in the way of your righteous indignation.

Rather convenient you can dismiss completely arguments you have no retort for isn't it? The history of the issues over the trust system in the past speak for themselves.

Personal attacks aren't "arguments" so yes they are worth dismissing completely. But you're right, the history of issues speaks for itself, which is why you are excluded from DT1.

Lol I don't listen what McAfee has to say any more. He may be fun to watch but his advice have 0 weight for me.

How can you explain that shitcoins he promotes have 80$ value one day and less then a dollar 2 months later??

The only explanation is he's consistently, unapologetically full of shit, on a sociopathic narcissist level. I really don't understand what the attraction is to this man. He's definitely on the top 10 list of personalities who have damaged the reputation of crypto.

DarkStar when reply?

That was almost a haiku but off by one syllable.

Sorry to clutter the thread, I just really like haikus.

The Rogue Wave and coming nosebleed ATH and collapse of Core BitcOn (perhaps to ~$775 at the halving).

Troll alert.

Hmm... 90% of your posts across a 3 year history are talking about 1 or 2 users. There's something funny about your account.

Oh, that's right, you're this guy:

Hungry desire to feel relevant much? What was the story behind that guy anyway... Let's have a small reminder and feed the troll at the same time (who is in no way here on the forum posting in this very thread I'm sure  Roll Eyes ):

Keep in mind this is a guy that at one point asked the mods to ban or disable his account to make him stay away. I think that was the anonymint one. Then he came back later with I think at least one other account prior to the iamnotback though I can't remember what that one was as it was well over a year ago. He has some inciteful things to say at times if you can strip away all the nutty stuff but much of the time he just comes across as a raving nutcase. Some of the stuff he's said recently, like how bitcoin was about to crash (I think it was over a week ago), how segwit had been defeated on BTC and LTC, just makes it hard to take him seriously...

Nothing has changed in 2 years apparently.
7055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 🔴 Time to BOYCOTT ALL Advertisers & Conferences associated with FakeSatoshi 🔴 on: June 24, 2019, 03:43:01 PM
More likely he will not show up and be held in contempt for already failing to provide a list of public addresses and now the court is asking him to appear and explain it and why he shouldn't be held in contempt. I doubt we will see Craig in the US for a long time now.

You might very well be right.

He's in a sticky wicket of a situation.

On one hand, if he wins the court case on the basis that there is no Tulip Trust (as I strongly suspect), it will mean he is not Satoshi.

On the other hand, by evading the issue he can continue the charade that he is Satoshi, but never be off the hook for the lawsuit and pretty much unable to ever re-enter the United States.

7057  Economy / Scam Accusations / [SCAM] Expi - copy/paste project with no team on: June 24, 2019, 03:20:54 PM
Project ANN: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5142574
ANN creator: expi
Website: https://expi.world/

Flag: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=280

Why its (most likely) a scam:

The Expi project is a copy/paste of a previous ICO called Experty. It lifted the entirety of the former project without crediting it in any way. In addition, it has no team members mentioned anywhere on the website or in the ANN thread.

The Expi white paper plagiarizes the Experty white paper in an almost word-for-word fashion, however, in certain areas they did apply a text spinner (which makes it almost nonsensical) . For example, from the Expi white paper:

Quote
A decentralized solution means the possibility of integrating into a variety of third party services, already containing large user bases, which can allow creators or influencers to make additional profit using our platform. This approach is a lean and environment friendly goto-market strategy given that we will now not need to reach out to persons one-by-one to create the desired community effect. Instead, we can be counted on an present set up person base.

From Experty white paper:

Quote
A decentralized solution means the possibility of integrating into a variety of third party services, already containing large user bases, which can allow creators or influencers to make additional profit using our platform. This strategy is a lean and efficient go-to-market strategy since we will not need to reach out to individuals one-by-one to create the desired network effect. Instead, we can rely on an existing established user base.

Example #2. Expi:

Quote
To start the conversation it is necessary for the caller to provide enough funds for at least 30 seconds of the call. The recipient sends the EXPI addresses of both parties, his minute rate, call identification and other conditions of the exchange to the caller during initialization of the call. The on-chain transactions take place via the EXPI blockchain.

Experty:

Quote
The caller must first provide enough funds allowing for at least 30 seconds of the call in order to initiate the conversation. During initialization of the call, the recipient sends the exact conditions of the exchange to the caller, including the recipient’s minute rate, call identification, and the Ethereum addresses of both parties. The on-chain transactions occur through our Ethereum smart contract, known as the operations contract (OC).

Example #3. Expi:

EXPi allows absolutely everyone to quickly and at once monetize their time or content material beyond what they were at first succesful of. This is efficient for both the provider and the receiver.

Experty:

Experty allows anyone to quickly and immediately monetize their time or content beyond what they were initially capable of. This is efficient for both the provider and the receiver.

When pressed on why they had no team and how they could feel comfortable stealing another idea, the expi account had this to say:

Before showing the team members we have a difficult way to register a company in Estonia. View WhitePaper WP Etherium and Tron and you can also say that Justin Sun from Vitalik Buterin. Believe me, our team did not work on this project. If you knew the cost of developing this application, you would not be talking about the fact that we had enough money to hold an ICO and do everything professionally. In the world of cryptocurrencies you have to survive. Gone are the days when any idea seemed futuristic. Our main task is to make increase coin consumption as much as possible inside our app.

Finally, this project has employed a bumping service to bump its thread on a daily basis since it was created. In my experience, this type of service is nearly always an indicator of a scam or at best a mediocre idea with no real long-term plans of success. Accounts belonging to the bumping service include.

Bugatti73
Buzlov
esofelap
Fomin-oilL
Godyae
Irina1999
Katrin_Veron
Sapchene
Sawras
Valeriiko
VerDinr
John_Silver
gaerisk
DjonSnou1
Gubkat
Susany
Namven
gaerisk
Umka.Beliy

In summary, based on the criteria of having:

1. a plagiarized white paper
2. no team members
3. hired a bumping service known for bumping scam projects in the past

I believe it is extremely likely that this project is a scam, and potential investors should be forewarned.
7058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] PBET – Physical Casino's Players Can Now Play Anywhere, Anytime!! on: June 24, 2019, 02:04:14 PM
how quickly do you accrue rewards for a referral campaign, will I be able to receive them after the pre-sale is completed?

Funny how the project manager is just ignoring all your stupid questions.

Hey project manager, is this what you expected when you decided to hire these morons to bump your thread for you? You're just happy to have any traffic at all? What a farce.

To all potential investors (I doubt there are any but just in case):

Projects that hire thread bumping services like that used in this thread are usually scams. At best they are lackluster cash grabs devoid of any originality and they have no plans for long-term success.

I advise everyone to pass on this project in favor of something more original and that has actual interest -- not just endless pages of idiotic questions by newbie spammers for hire.

not MindTrust

Dude, I've also been reading it wrong this entire time. It just reads as "mindtrust" in my head, up until today. Just wanted to cross post this here instead of cluttering the raffle thread.

Hey guys, just to let you know that krogothmanhattan is giving away AN AMERICAN EAGLE SILVER 1OZ COIN in his raffle today.
100 spots available (well 99 now).

Wow, thanks for the heads up. First time I've ever participated in a raffle. He's been in a good mood over 300 times now, probably more than I have in my entire life.
