Sorry maybe I'm a bit old school, but maybe just a maybe some of Darkcoin supporters are actually religious or just someone who have a bit of morals in them?
I like what Camo suggested he can have the's own thread so I don't have 2 skip he's pictures every time I read about darkcoin =]
Just put me on your ignore list. See, the ignore button serves many purposes... not just to block trolls.... People respond to your posts with quotes... Just take your distasteful content elsewhere so people can actually follow along with on-topic conversation, ya? You just want to patronize everybody with your feminist agenda. Aslong as I follow bitcointalk.org's rules, I am fine. I don't care about your rules. Who are you? phzi is the guy i put on ignore ages ago... thats who he is..

I'm a tad confused by recent developments: Do we have a fixed date for RC4 release? I think July 24th was being thrown around?
Pablo.
this is from the official Development Update 15th of July 2014 : quote : Testnet Phase Development on RC4 is nearing an end and we expect that we’ll be firing up testnet in the coming week. Depending on what we find, testing and QA should take 2 to 4 weeks. Code Review Kristov Atlas has agreed to be the first to review the Darksend code. Kristov will be evaluating anonymity and overall design of our technology and will report his findings publicly. We’ll be sending the code to him soon and we anticipate that we will hear back from Kristov by the end of the month. https://darkcointalk.org/threads/development-updates-july-15th.1788/edit : edited in also the code review part .. which is most likely finished before RC4 gets implemented. Testnet is currently live already since a few days. They are working on finding all remaining issues and fixing them. yeah i know, i'm keeping an eye out on the testing : https://darkcointalk.org/threads/rc4-testing.1830/page-9

Ermm... Anyone else notice this on github? https://github.com/darkcoinproject/darkcoin/commit/dc4300955a99bb4c7aad494f563fd3788a34e691// These need to be macros, as version.cpp's and bitcoin-qt.rc's voodoo requires it #define CLIENT_VERSION_MAJOR 0 #define CLIENT_VERSION_MINOR 9 -#define CLIENT_VERSION_REVISION 11 -#define CLIENT_VERSION_BUILD 6 +#define CLIENT_VERSION_REVISION 12 +#define CLIENT_VERSION_BUILD 0 // Set to true for release, false for prerelease or test build #define CLIENT_VERSION_IS_RELEASE trueyep .. noticed it. Evan deserves one of these for his hard work today regarding master-rc4 on github :

note : do not mine at this pool !!! too high hashrate !! But I like wafflepool...they serve up waffles, syrup and big 51+ % hash to fork DRK Have fun I'm putting my hash here ^^ with current 31.5 % you can invide your friends and have a sleepover party there... i dont care
|
|
|
Pool hashrates that looks like a 38.6% attack a few hours ago wafflepool got 51.6% .. thats why i got so worried. The pool obviously moved on to other cryptocoins by now.

x11.ltc1btc.com and wafflepool have been mining drk separately for a while already, and they always had over 30-40% of the blocks, its x11.ltc1btc.com dumping 80g of chinese hashes onto wafflepool making it more obvious.
They actually made wafflepool less profitable for old miners

Not the fault of wafflepool.
ahh.. this clears things up for me. But its still a very unhealthy situation, having one pool with so much power / hashrate I know about that 51% attack issue, but its not likely I think. I have been observing waffle pool, their tactic actually works quite well, by jumping in and out of different coins with 20-40GH/s, they can grab a bunch of blocks quickly without raising the difficulty or network hash rate, and this hit and run, riding the difficulty wave tactic is more profitable than sticking with a single coin alone. But now with over 100G at same time, it will get network hash rate and difficulty up and noticed. A few days ago, someone told me only 35BTC of darkcoin being mined per day, still small compare to volume on mintpal even if they are all sold. thanks for your reply.. interesting tactic of this pool indeed.

can we pls have an announcement later on about this situation with wafflepool, i'm still concerned how they reached 51.6% network hashpower that easily and i wanna know if any foulplay has been noticed....
There are enough GPU rigs out there to make it 99% if they all showed up at once, one of the reasons why ASICs are a GOOD thing. 50% is a non-issue. It happened plenty of times in BTCs birth... okay, my adrenaline is slowly sinking again edit : the poolhash charts help too...

only a very short one today, I barely have any time at hand these days... C'mon guys keep it SFW please, I know your puberty is only hitting but some of us are well past it and access this from work as well Accept the reality that some of us made much better choices than you, so now we can indulge that which you cannot because nobody tells us what to do. There's nothing mature about following the crowd and being a sucker. Hiding behind the "I failed like everyone else" smokescreen isn't gonna fly. you do realise we are in the middle of a larger then 50% pool situation ? http://drk.poolhash.org/poolhash.html

the huge difficulty hash rise always happens before a huge pump so new investors think it's smarter to just buy then to mine. This is also where the newbies get shaken off.
But with increased multipool mining will come a dump, those multipools HAVE to pay there customers daily so they are forced to sell daily, i suspect a dip but could be wrong, wouldnt be the first time 0.o The real time for DRK boom will be once Kristov Atlas peer reviews code, if he gives the ok then it will be a flood of fresh btc (i say "fresh" btc, but its prob the same people who panic sold after forks), any ETA on when this will start? end of July ..
