CEO of the USA Investment bank, Lloyd Blankfein said "something that move 20 overnight do not feel like a currency. It is vehicles to perpetrate fraud" after this comment on Thursday bitcoin lose over 20% and I was panic to sell off my holding. But thank God the bitcoin has started recovering as we can see that it is currently above $9,700. I think this is another caculated attacked on bitcoin image in other to create FUD.
Some Nobel prize winner did say something along these lines and did not see much of the market been moved and Lloyds recent remarks were just a coincidence that bitcoin temporary lost this 20% which I believe shows that it is not a mere speculative currency. I think by now we should already understand that no matter what they say about bitcoins, it has no effect on the current state of the investors on it. There's so much interested in bitcoin that not even China could do it. Maybe that's just a coincidence really that when he release his statement bitcoin drop a little. But it has rebounded beautifully to $12K today, so that effect is short term only, if indeed those words from the critics has impact on the price. I wouldn't listen anymore to those who are attacking bitcoin, the words coming out of their mouth is non-sense and complete garbage. I hope the OP have understood what we all been saying here. BTC BITCOIN milestone 10000$. Continue to rise or not???
I heard the bitcoin now is continue to rise and rise rapidly . Do you think it will affect the value of ICO and some altcoins? Looking at when you dropped this and now, I guess it is something we cannot really say. Bitcoin has already passed the $10,000 stage, but I doubt if with the little correction right now, it is going to go back to hit above $15,000. I am highly astonished for now, and I just would not even care trying to see where bitcoin is headed to, but I guess we just have to see what happens from now. Yes, I haven't seen it is just touch $12000 today because the price is almost at that level. Of course there will be correction some time, but I can't really see it happening this week or even this month of December. Bitcoin has still some leg room to get $15000 will all the positive news going around. Yes, BITCOIN will continue the up trend. i guest BTC will hit 13k $ then make correction in beginning 2018 and continues uptrend until hit 15k$. so if you want to hold, release at 13k-14k $. that is my guess.
Bitcoin will come back under 8k$ in the beginning 2018 because at this time , some Asia countries will cele Luna New Year as China, Japan, VietNam .... and a lot of bitcoins are saved by users of those countries so I think they will sell some in this event. I don't know what you are saying here. I think it should be the opposite, why would they dump their coins if the price is going up? Yes, they save their bitcoin for some future event but I have serious doubt that the price could go down to $8000. As like everyone, I think bitcoin jumped higher that I have expected. It's price every week is ridiculously overboard and starting to think that it can move more upwards since everyone is interested to hop on. With more people being attracted to bitcoins growth it will be possible to reach higher marks not just in the future but very soon.
Since prices are already high, miners are getting scarce, I think soon, growth will be slower.
Its a little bit scary but you can really stop people jumping on bitcoin because there's a lot of good news like CBOE offering bitcoin future contracts starting Dec 11 and CME on Dec 18. Growth will continue but I don't think it will be slower. |

Since most of the other altcoins started to lose value they also lost the trust of investors. That directed investors to safer and well know coins like ethereum and bitcoin ofcourse. I personally would not invest in a some unknow so called promising coin when the markets are unstable. All these reasons helped ethereum to gain more and more value.
Ethereum has gotten a lot of investors renewed there interest on it, that's why the price also hits all-time-high. Ethereum has already gained the trust the investors, but with so many hacks, somewhat most investors shun and move to bitcoin. But lately there is a surge again, I don't know what the reason is, but maybe they think that Ethereum is under valued and needs more attention because it has one advantage that bitcoin doesn't have - smart contracts. these days, the price of ethereum continues to rise,.

A lot of altcoyins are created on the basis of Ethereum, in order to buy them on the stock exchange, you must first buy Ethereum, so the demand is high and the price so quickly grows. I think this is not the limit and in the near future we will see 1000+ $ !!! Not so fast with the $1000 prediction. It looks getting twice as to what the current price is. It will touched $1000 but I think in the next 2-3 years. We know that Ethereum is being pumped, but I seriously question if they can push the price to 4 digits. Eth and bitcoin have good future, they are the best coins ever. ETH to send lower fee and bitcoin to send big amount of cash. I think you better keep both of them in your wallet. 2018 there will be a big future of cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is the KIng and eth below the king.
Both of them have good future indeed. But if you are looking for investment long term, the best choice is bitcoin. Ethereum has different purposes, its smart contract, but bitcoin is designed for micro payments but I don't see it happening in the future. It has now started to be a store of wealth. But there's nothing about it. As long as we are benefiting from it, there's no harm. Yes, its better to have Ethereum as well, at least diversify. We don't know what the future holds, so you have options. I'm saying that we need to hold both of them long term like 1 year minimum to see and get a nice profit. Any possibilities for a 13k run since there is a new fork in BTC ?
It is just me or I'm missing something here? What fork are you talking here and care to give us the link? And if indeed there is a new fork on the horizon, there is no guarantee that it can push the price to $13K. We can get to $13K, I have to doubt about it but its how we get there. Bitcoin future contracts alone for me is generally positive to the market that can push the price to this levels. That's possible. I see some huge announcement recently like CME to add Bitcoin to their platform. CME is known major financial market in the world. This is a huge announcement for Bitcoin this year and expect other major financial markets to follow in the future like NASDAQ or NYSE. I think $13k is very achievable. Right now it's price is already at $11k+. It's just 2 grand to achieve that. Tha is small if were to ask. Actually im predicting Bitcoin to hit $15k before this year ends. In addition for this, is the upcoming hardfork. I think it will happen at the mid of this month.
Exactly, it will be very interesting to see financial institutions implement their bitcoin future contracts like CME is doing. Although is too early to tell, but it opens the doors for institutional money to flow into the bitcoin ecosystem. As far as price manipulations, there's that possibility, that's why we need to be very careful as well. |

In my opinion, i think bitcoin need to improve the speed of transaction. Bitcoin is really useful and convenient in many way as no difficult procedure, no inflation and incognito. However, to be accepted as a way of payment by retailer or online shopping webs, bitcoin need to improve many disadvantages and retailer must have a different and detail way for bitcoin's payment because bitcoin absolutely out of regular payment like cash. Finally, i still glad to see bitcoin will be used as a payment for everything in future, it has much of advantages and applies bitcoin for payment will bring much benefit for retailer and customer.
I think it has improved a lot because mempool is not that clogged anymore. But to really improved in LN should be implement but that is just another story. That's why when bitcoin price beginning to go up, I think it has defeated its own purpose of being a micro-payment transaction. Now people think of it as a form of investment. One the most important feature at that table is absent - the founders. Ethereum succeed mostly because of Buterin. There are a lot of smart contract platforms, but nevertheless ETH remains and will be the number one for very long time imo.
The articles has nothing such proof to offer. And with Viltalik Buterin almost at the top of Ethereum scene, I'm not surprised that this coin is really popular not just because of him, but the development and the features that this coin has to offer specially its smart contracts. As for CMT, I agree, its too early to tell, Ethereum has so much head start already, its really hard to overtake it as of the moment. Cybermiles is a good project and has great potential but comparing it to eth as of this moment, i guess its a bit odd and they both are on different planes. Cybermiles have amazing aspects and maybe in the near future it can overcome eth, we will never know since everything in the crypto community is uncertain. Although, eth have already established itself and gained a lot of investors and adopted by many icos hence, comparing the two isn't right as of this moment.
As I have said, CMT has a lot to do if they want to take Ethereum at least. Another advantage of Ethereum is that they have already established as alternatives to bitcoin in forms of ICO investment. And most ERC20 tokens are based on Ethereum so that alone is the biggest hurdle that CMT has to overtake if they want to challenged Ethereum. |

Revolution or not, we have to feel lucky we’re alive at this current stage of the bitcoin economy. Bitcoins have already made a ton of people rich and I think it will continue to do so.
Alt coins on the other hand, are the next major investment. Since they tackle existing problems with bitcoins, I’m certain they have a lot more potential in price than BTC does.
In addition to that, its still not to late to join this revolution and enjoy being rich as well in the future. As far as altcoins, they have been created to improved bitcoin problems, like Ethereum, but I really doubt that investors will jump on them now. All rumors would about big institutions offering services related to crypto would turn out to be true eventually. This is something that's going be be happening more and more lately as bitcoin is reaching a point where only institutional adoption would get it further, but if it happens there is potential for a big increase even from that point on. Institutions are recognizing that, and along with the interest form big investors, they are now investing in offering BTC-related services.
Those big financial institutions by now should realized that bitcoin is here to stay for good. And they can't really ignore the fact the bitcoin and crypto's, how much they bashed, attacked it, will be the wave of investments. More clients of them are clamoring to include bitcoin in their contracts, that's why CME give in to them. And yes, this is definitely a great news to see. Specially that 5 digits has been touched, bitcoin ecosystem will get a fresh members being admitted and all aboard with the hype train. Government will bow to the will of the people according to their democratic dogma. Cryptocurrency is the people's will.
It's financial institutions that we are talking about here. Government is different though, they wouldn't just bow to the people's will as you have mentioned. Look at data, there's still a lot of countries choosing to ban bitcoin like China and Russia. |

Oh well, it has been confirmed already by the CME group. So indeed this is another milestones in bitcoin history. The price is again picking up at $10.5K. Final date is December 18. So its more than 2 weeks from now but I think we can surely see a spike down the road specially as we inch closer to the date.
But for me, those well known personalities are still divided, whether bitcoin is a bubble or not. But now that the CME group is joining in the fray, I still don't know if they can still call it a bubble. LOL. There will be ongoing debate, drama's, name callings etc. But I don't think that bitcoin will be deterred by all of this. Its just another day at the office.
What I don't like though is that it CME will offer a regulated trading platform. But I may be wrong in my interpretation here.

Yes, they are bleeding but the end of crypto? NOAre you here when the Chinese fakes news or whatever happened in September? Bitcoin drop at a rate of more than 30%. And I don't know about the alt but I'm sure that they have been affected as well. If you were already here I'm sure you are all going crazy that time seeing the price plummeting to the floor after enjoying all time highs specially bitcoin. take a deep breath and step away from computer.... Go take your dog for a walk, visit some family and friends smell some flowers or enjoy fresh new snow... for the love of god just step away from what ever you are doing now this is not for faint hearted and asking if this is the end of crypto you seems to be one of does Come back tomorrow or day after and you will see there was nothing to worry about too much money is invested into crypto for it to wanish just like that Pick any one from the suggestions above. When I was just starting, I will just go walk around the neighborhood to take my mind to what's happening. You should do the same. Before I use to worry whenever I saw the bitcoin price drop a and I admitted there comes a time that I do the panic selling mode and I regret that, this pump and dump is what makes bitcoin a top crypto currency today and yes it is very volatile but we must not worry and enjoy the opportunity whenever the value drops because for sure after some quite time it will recover and can even give a much higher price. Just enjoy the pump and dump  Yes, bitcoin have demonstrated in the past that if its value has drop, the next thing that it going to happen is that the price will rebound and can achieve even greater price as its previous all-time-high, so all of us should not be disappointed to see the price going down. On the contrary, this is really a good buying opportunity. I learned this the hard way when I was just starting. I will panic sell and push the button whenever I see the price dipping. And soon I realized that I'm making the wrong move. I should be buying in this dip instead of selling. I guess all of us experience this kind of anguish and apprehension before. And it you look at the market right now, its not only bitcoin who is bleeding, but the rest of altcoin as well. So maybe there is some serious corrections that we are going to see in the next few days. Just hold and don't sell. There's is no point of dumping today. |

Never experienced buying one from them. What do you mean sounds OK? what don't you just buy items from bitmain itself? A lot of scam sites are out there and don't be another statistics for the scammer. If you are willing to go to mining then I advise you to put out a good amount of investment. Its better to be safe here than lose your money here. They are scammers, stay away!

From the very beginning I already suspected that BitConnect would likely end in a scam. Fortunately for me, I have put funds in there but as I recheck everything the returns is not that good so I immediately pull out my funds like 5 months ago. I'm happy that I made the correct decision and seeing how the news came out, I wouldn't surprise at all. Unfortunately Bitconnect has made a lot of users until now which are potential victims when such event happens as I believe it will happen. A lot of marketing for this system, from massive Youtube videos to lots and lots of facebook pages and sponsorship still continues. I see this popping up in my facebook account very open from a sponsored page. We cannot do much except warn people here but usually people here don't care about warnings as we have seen with many other ponzies before. I believe bitconnect is a big scam.
I agree which I do see it everywhere specially on social medias which do really piss me a lot since there are lots of victims will surely fall into this and they are really serious on their marketing which is normal for a Ponzi scheme type coin.I don't see any thing special on this one but rather I do see failure ahead since it is not really sustainable for long term.Better to get out early on profits than on being greedy and end up on having a hole in your pocket. I see this a bit difficult as I have a friend which no matter how hard I warned him not to join he did join them. He added not a small amount now 0.127 bitcoin and unfortunately he needs 8 months until he can move the funds out from bitconnect, a time I don't believe bitconnect will be still with us. I don't see him get lucky and get his money back at that time but who knows, other ponzies have resisted more than 1 year so he may get his money back. Actually I also have a friend, who I enticed to join, however, I already told him to get out and not fall for the trap. He added and then reinvested again. I don't know how much he already invested but our last communication, he say's its .5 BTC already. |
