7101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin pump groups on: June 02, 2017, 09:34:47 AM
I think the OP is looking at groups of individuals interested in
their chosen coin aiming to influence the market for their own gains
rather than an actual exchange.

Would Poloniex itself be classed as a GROUP ?
I have heard before [unconfirmed] that they have been pumping coins

would be interesting to know more for sure about this manipulation...
7102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Getting Bitcoin with the LEAST amount of hassle on: June 02, 2017, 08:39:03 AM
Ok following on from this thread > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1944334.new#new
about the Hargreaves-lansdown bitcoin investments where they are offering
a tracker fund connected to Bitcoin's movements rather than offering direct
access to the bitcoin market.

They [http://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/investing/article-4562190/Hargreaves-Lansdown-lets-customers-invest-bitcoin.html]
state that "The UK's leading investing website is offering customers the chance to
invest in bitcoin from today - without the technological palaver that buying the cryptocurrency typically requires.

So we can take it that buying into Bitcoin is complicated and arduous, Is it?

I can buy Bitcoin at BITSTAMP directly from my card and sell directly to my bank account.

What other hassle free ways and sites are there to get into crypto?

7103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: BTC Now Available To British Investors on: June 02, 2017, 08:26:03 AM
Yes good news for sure, Bitcoin is becoming more and more visible
to "investors" who traditionally would invest in stocks, commodities etc.

They [Hargreaves-Lansdown] are offering a kind of tracker fund
rather than people directly buying into bitcoin but it exposes BTC
to new markets.

"The UK's leading investing website is offering customers the chance to invest
in bitcoin from today - without the technological palaver that buying the
cryptocurrency typically requires
."

7104  Economy / Services / Re: ***** LOGO CONTEST currency DirhamCoin (AED) ***** 0.07BTC ***** on: June 01, 2017, 11:32:52 PM
I have posted this in my reserved spot on page 1

Changes can be made if necessary.

7105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THE BEST BITCOIN WALLET on: June 01, 2017, 09:54:08 PM
I use EXODUS its a desktop wallet which creates multiple addresses for bitcoin.
There are also wallets for Ethereum, Dash, Dogecoin, Augur, Golum and Litecoin
and I have full control over these.

It means my coins are not entrusted to an exchange where I have a small amount of control over.

There is also a feature for direct trading between the above listed currencies via SHAPESHIFT
7106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how dependent is ethereum from bitcoin on: June 01, 2017, 09:45:30 PM
Yea very concise replies. Ethereum of course can exist on its own
it isnt even really a currency, its a different concept based on
smart contracts and nothing to do with bitcoin.

I would think the OP would have known this  Huh
7107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Market Opportunities? on: June 01, 2017, 04:09:04 PM
Bringing bitcoin to ground is not that difficult. It is us who need to take initiative to ensure bitcoin expand its reach more than just being investment item.
One of the easiest way is mass adoption of bitcoin as 'payment mode' in big shopping center or mall.
If all shops and restaurants in single building start accepting bitcoin, person could cater all his needs at one place. This will surely going to bump up bitcoin usage.

This is actually a good idea!
If we could somehow approach the management company of a particular
Shopping Mall with the idea of having a payment method for bitcoin for
each individual shop there it would certainly raise the awareness and
useage of it.

BUT

I think until the value stabilizes, the fees expecially for micro payments and
the confirmation times are sorted out its going to be difficult.
7108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tomorrow 31th May (Japan time) will open internet giant GMO Btc trading platform on: June 01, 2017, 12:39:37 PM
There are links posted above. Trade.z.com is the address.

I did some searches for news about this and it seems to be coming from crypto news sources.
I would like to see main stream news articles or news from the GMO site itself.

i visited the site and bitcoin is not listed as yet?
7109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tomorrow 31th May (Japan time) will open internet giant GMO Btc trading platform on: May 31, 2017, 02:01:49 PM
Has anyone visited the exchange > https://trade.z.com/uk/en/ ?

I have been over there for the last 20 minutes and I cannot see anything
about Bitcoin, I checked the "newsroom", "latest updates" and "markets" pages.

7110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: May 31, 2017, 01:16:33 PM
Whats going on why sia price is crashing?

Maybe it's because a lot of people are doing what this guy did:

i sold sia for btc on poloniex and then moved btc to bittrex.
I then bought sia with the same btc at a lower rate so i got more sia for the same btc,
As my post above states!

Maybe?
I still have my stake in SIA, just more of it!

Actually the Bittrex wallet was down yesterday for a while also.
I'm just not liking how the wallet is down for so long on Poloniex,
thats why I got my SIA out of there, in a roundabout way  Grin
7111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That moment when you buy 1BTC at $2500 on: May 31, 2017, 11:04:07 AM
Dont sell your bitcoin, hold hold hold!

Its so easy to get caught up in the recent rise, you ask yourself
"should I get in now before it rises even further and I miss the boat"

it all comes down to patience as mentioned above, if the value
falls, wait untill it rises again but you have to realise it could be
weeks or months before it rises again.

same as buying low and waiting for the price to rise, it could take time!!

dont panic.
7112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Future. on: May 31, 2017, 09:43:30 AM
I bought 50000 XRP with 0.35 USD, but now price is going down less than 0.25 USD. I am worried about whether I should buy more or hold.
Please give me your opinion.

as others have mentioned, you have to hold on to it until a more favourable price
and then if I were were you liquidate your stock.

I liquidated my stock a few weeks ago and have not looked back, there is so
much negativity surrounding Ripple, the whole thing smells funny to me!!
7113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: May 31, 2017, 08:01:04 AM
Polo just doesnt care about customer service anymore, they are getting worse and worse. I moved everything to Bittrex and no problems since.
I think that's a good idea plus bittrex has auto sell and I don't know if any 2 any is up again but that was cool feature

Well just this morning I moved my SIA from Poloniex to Bittrex
and even gained a few hundred extra because I traded from
SIA into Bitcoin on Poloniex then transferred over to Bittrex
and bought SIA there!

Ummmm  how did you do that when the wallet is/has disabled?

i sold sia for btc on poloniex and then moved btc to bittrex.
I then bought sia with the same btc at a lower rate so i got more sia for the same btc,
As my post above states!
7114  Economy / Services / Re: ► LOGO CONTEST ◄► cryptocoinsmarket.com logo design ◄► 0.01 BTC prize on: May 30, 2017, 10:25:25 PM

it can be modified as required or the wording can be changed also.

the top left hand corner sample.

If you need any other info please PM me.

7115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tomorrow 31th May (Japan time) will open internet giant GMO Btc trading platform on: May 30, 2017, 04:09:19 PM
This is something I think about too, sustainability for bitcoin!

its hard to figure what that sustainability level is going to be and
this news along with the recent news from Japan about the airlines
accepting BTC is certainly going to affect the price.

7116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tomorrow 31th May (Japan time) will open internet giant GMO Btc trading platform on: May 30, 2017, 02:38:37 PM
Will this affects price?

GMO is a Japanese trading platform for Forex, Equities, Stocks and now Bitcoin, it is insured for hacker attacks and regulated by Japanese Financial Services Agency
Considering that GMO owns the world's largest Forex brokerage, maybe that will affect bitcoin price.

First time I heard abut it. Which currencies can you trade with Bitcoin on it?

Anyway, everything online can be attacked...
It's not for Bitcoin/Altcoins trading, it's for Bitcoin buying/selling with 'zero' fees on all orders. And true.

they are open also to european users? can you give some links about this platform and the news?
thank you
This is their trading platform's link: https://trade.z.com/ And yes, it's available to Europeans.

This is great news,
the points above are really attractive, especially the zero fees and open to all worldwide.
I visited their site and yes you can select any country worldwide.
It will be interesting to see what their pricing will be like?
Thanks for posting this.

7118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: Russia Adopting Bitcoin. Price Explosion Imminent!! on: May 30, 2017, 10:45:02 AM
A country doesn't "adopt" Bitcoin until a large number of people begin using it, regularly, as an alternative to fiat currency.

Allowing something to exist does not encourage it, and a few merchants accepting it in addition to fiat does not indicate adoption at all.

Any price rises which happen from this would just be empty speculation, not based on actual users.

I do not agree with you. If some of your bigger payment processors show enough confidence to publicly announce that they are going to accept Bitcoin as a payment option, then the smaller merchant will follow. We normally see the smaller merchants taking the lead with something new, but this is a significant move from the bigger players. ^smile^

The same thing happened in Japan, and the wheel started to turn.
Chronopay don't actually say anything about Bitcoin on their website.  Furthermore, Japan's "adoption" has not happened yet either.  We were promised a lot about "adoption", but we are genuinely talking about one or two individual firms accepting Bitcoin as a secondary option to fiat, and there's no indication that those stores actually get a lot of Bitcoin payments.

The main thing that shows adoption is actual statistics of companies that have accepted Bitcoin and how many of their payments are in Bitcoin.  Until we get that kind of statistic, a company accepting Bitcoin as a secondary/tertiary means of payment is meaningless.

Yup its on their website blog > https://chronopay.com/blog/2017/05/29/chronopay-will-support-bitcoin-blockchain-revolution/

when I saw the thread title I was super excited, but after reading the posts following, im a little less excited...
but its more good news anyway, more ways for people to hear about bitcoin, more ways to get in, its all good in my view
7119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how many country recently accept btc? on: May 30, 2017, 09:32:10 AM
how many country of the world now accept btc?  Huh Huh

Recently? Well from what I have heard i think it's only Japan, and Australia. Russia is planning on legalizing bitcoin but it's apparently planning on tracking every single transaction on the blockchain as well to tie activities on the blockchain to users. I don't think that's good news per se, nor is it bad news. It's just like meh for me.

A lot of countries still allow btc trading to take place without acknowledging formally what their stance on btc is. I don't mind that either. Not banning it is good enough for me, p2p networks survive without any government.

As regards Australia, They are "recognising" the potential
of the tech industry surrounding blockchains and so they are
relaxing the double taxation currently involved with it now.

They want to attract more tech jobs to their country and see
the blockchain industry as being very important.

Here is a link to my thread about it > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1911873.0
7120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of gamechanger we need in crypto now? on: May 30, 2017, 06:02:05 AM
