7122  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC is helping out Cubans and Venezuelans on: July 18, 2021, 01:14:41 PM
They are using Bitcoin and P2P trading websites and all trading is going up in those regions and sometimes that is only solution they have to survive hyperinflation and rising of food prices.
I heard that some people are even accepting direct payments in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, but governments probably made that illegal so there is always a risk of trading with some gov agent.
One thing you need for this to work is internet connection, and a wallet, so they may try to restrict that with electricity, like we saw recently in Cuba.
That is the reason Bitcoin was invented in the first place, and not only to may people rich with crazy gains.
7123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Paraguay become the second country to legal for bitcoin after El Salvado? on: July 18, 2021, 01:04:35 PM
No, according to leaked document I saw few days ago, Paraguay will make Bitcoin as legal property and not as a legal tender, but bad news is that they are introducing a bunch of restrictions for bitcoin mining and crypto transaction:

7124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: British police seize $408 million and arrest woman aged 39 on: July 18, 2021, 12:58:37 PM
Ruja Ignatova is now 41 years old and with all her diplomatic passports I doubt they really arrested her, and she is probably hiding somewhere in arab world under the protection of some rich prince.
They confiscated a lot of money but UK government legally steals much more money from their everyday tax extortion all the time, like all the parasites are doing.
7125  Other / Archival / Re: [BIG LIST] Crypto Debit Cards on: July 18, 2021, 12:04:46 PM
Xapo has restarted issuing debit cards. somebody please review it.
I don't think that Xapo card is yet released for every country, except maybe for beta testing purposes , but it should happen this year with relaunching of their digital bank.
I can't fins any page with fees but charging $150 annual fees is a bit to much in my opinion when compared with other card competition.

Update concerning ADVcash: for the rest of the world, you can now (if available in your country) order a plastic ADV Global card or a plastic ADV Crypto World card for $95 + fees ~$30-60/year. Fees details can be checked in your accounts.
What is the difference between ADV Global card and ADV Crypto World card?
I see that ADV Crypto World card have 0.75% currency exchange fee, and ADV Global card have no fees, so I am not sure if both of them accept Bitcoin/crypto, or one of them is just for fiat currencies.
7126  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: July 18, 2021, 11:43:37 AM
DDOS is now constant for many days and it will not stop. Google noticed that our service is offline and removed it from their results. If you search for "chipmixer" you will see only phishing links. If you send Bitcoins into their deposit addressess - your money is used to continue DDOS attack.
It looks like that we entered Cyber Attack pandemic like it was announced earlier, and I see constant attacks on everything Bitcoin related, including Chipmixer and Bitcoin.org website.

I think that better strategy is to totally close clearnet version and switch to TOR version or add some other alternative way to access Chipmixer service, maybe directly with some wallet or extension.

I've reported two of the phishing sites to Google (again), but based on past experiences I don't expect them to act any time soon. Google offers a great service for phishing sites Sad
I reported phishing websites many times to google and I also didn't saw them react properly and that also applies to their service youtube, not to mention heavy censorship they are doing right now.
7127  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Live 2.30.0 - Windows Users and verify guide on: July 18, 2021, 11:37:30 AM
Ledger finally removed the need for separately going in their manager for installing new apps, but I didn't test how this works as I uninstalled all my apps, and I keep it only for ledger firmware updates.
Here is the full list of new fatures and fixes for ledger live:

Quote
Features:
-    Browse our web3 apps directly from Live's catalog
-    No need to go to the manager to install nano apps! Install them in the flow!
-    Live now available in Chinese, Spanish and Russian!
-    Transaction details show in a sidebar
-    WalletConnect now available on desktop! Bridge Live with dApps!

Fixes:
-    No more payout fees in the native swap and UX improvements
-    Hiding balance does not hide fees anymore

"Ako zaista bas zelis tuci psa, uvijek ces naci stap", Nizozemska poslovica.
Ti si postao pravi Nizozemac sbogovac Cheesy a ima li poplava i drugog ludila tamo kod tebe?

Čuo sam da su povukli onaj glupi Proof of Wallet zakon za Bitcoin crypto novčanike, ako je to istina.
7129  Other / Archival / Re: Announcing Wasabi Wallet 2.0 on: July 17, 2021, 05:39:35 PM
There are some updates for upcoming Wasabi 2.0 wallet and first released version will be Internal Preview with basic features and working only with TestNet network.
This will be released in range between range anywhere between 5 to 14 weeks, and after that Release Candidates will be publish for testing in general public.
Interesting thing they added is dark/light theme switch and much improved interface, as you can check in their video Wasabi Wallet 2.0 In The Finish Line Introduction & Demo:

7130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Video] Bitcoin miners vs Third-world government steamroller! on: July 17, 2021, 05:21:42 PM
I saw this brutal video yesterday and it is so stupid waste of time and gas, when they could just sell those miners online and buy some food for poor people.
Someone commented on twitter that this video reminded him on burning of books that happened in history by nazis and communists.
Governments are the real virus and parasites.
7131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of America Approves Bitcoin Futures on: July 17, 2021, 05:15:10 PM
This will only be possible for their special selected clients and it don't apply for general public, but it is still a positive change on Bitcoin compared with their decision made few years ago.
However, I am not a big fan of futures trading for bitcoin and it looks like this news didn't affect market at all.
7132  Other / Meta / Re: Is Bitcointalk.org losing user base? on: July 17, 2021, 04:21:36 PM
Are there any other Bitcoin and crypto forums, with more ''modern'' themes, that are better or more active than Bitcointalk?
- No.
I am not sure that adding a mobile theme and improving search engine would make a drastic change, but we could use some refresh like big tech are doing all the time with their websites.
We should also not forget the fact that people die and move on to other things all the time like Satoshi did, and we shouldn't be surprised by this.
New people are generally young generation with short attention span, more suitable for tiktok and stuff like that  Tongue

7133  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoinvis - Compare Bitcoin's price between halvings on: July 17, 2021, 03:51:40 PM
It looks very good and I like the prediction part but I don't understand how you calculated that so maybe you should add more information about that.

One thing I noticed is that website chart is not working in chrome based browsers like brave, and it is working fine in firefox based browser.

Small design suggestion is to add dark/light theme switch.
7134  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: July 17, 2021, 01:02:06 PM

7135  Other / Meta / Re: [Proposal] Hiding the signature space in the Off-Topic section on: July 16, 2021, 12:53:49 PM
You are forgetting about altcoin signature campaigns. I am sure there are those who allow it. I really don't want to go and check though Smiley
I mention Altcoins board in my previous post, and some campaigns allow it, some don't allow it like Chipmixer for example.
7136  Other / Meta / Re: [Proposal] Hiding the signature space in the Off-Topic section on: July 16, 2021, 12:39:14 PM
Can you name some signature campaigns that are allowing writing in off-topic section (maybe it is Bitvest and 777Coin)?
As far as I know many of them are not allowing that, some are also not allowing Local boards, Games and Rounds, Altcoin boards, and others have special requirements of writing in Gambling threads.
Signatures could be disabled in off-topic but that would not solve anything and it would just spill out spam everywhere else, like we don't have enough of that already.
7137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Paraguay become the second country to legal for bitcoin after El Salvado? on: July 16, 2021, 12:29:32 PM
Here is leaked translated version of Bitcoin bill in Paraguy, that will register Bitcoin as property and not as a legal tender, while bitcoin mining will be much more regulated than now.
All mining operations will need to be approved and overseen by an authority and mining outside of the legal framework will be disciplined and sanctioned.
There will also be monitoring and controlling of Bitcoin transaction (I am not sure how exactly they can enforce that) and people failing to comply will be punished.

7138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: German Faketoshi is now arrested for his fraud on: July 16, 2021, 12:12:04 PM
Before his appearance as Faketoshi, various sources indicate his career as wedding DJCheesy Cheesy
Somewhen between 2013 - 2015, he changed his name from Jörg Oertl to Jörg Molt.
His ex wife said and confirmed that in time when Bitcoin was invented Jörg didn't even own a computer, so you can only imagine how he could create Bitcoin Smiley
It was interesting to see him in past taking pictures with some important Bitcoin people like Andreas Antonopoulos and claiming they are friends.
That reminds me about biggest scammer of all, main Faketoshi Craig Wright, who was in that time probably working as a farmer with vegetables but he also claims the same thing as Jörg.

7139  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Binance ceasing support for stock tokens on: July 16, 2021, 10:59:59 AM
Definitely also possible. Wondering what kind of sort of voodoo magic FTX has for them to get away with their synthetic stocks for a while now though, with all these crypto exchanges halting stock offerings.
How about bribing of politicians and supporting their campaigns, like Sam did in previous US elections with his ''donations'' and I am sure he did something similar in other big countries where FTX is operating.
7140  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Binance ceasing support for stock tokens on: July 16, 2021, 10:26:14 AM
I am not surprised witth this news, they made so much problems with this risky move when they introduced stock tokens and that is one of the reasons why many countries banned Binance recently.
