FWIW: My younger brother used to work at the outfit that packaged cards like these, perhaps even this run. I'm looking at boxes of unopened cards, sets, etc., not knowing their worth but he claims they're worth a lot. I wonder if he would notice if any were missing.  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

Lol If he has any of the 03/04 upper deck exquiste cards unopened they are a GOLD mine. one card sold on Ebay for $100k it was a 1/1 card.

Okay, I've opened up half the packages. Which one am I looking for again? HOLY SHIT, what did I just do? Dude, you best have an explanation handy when by brother asks you why you made me open up these boxes.

On decred's brazilian facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/667062416769204/ already there are many people trading goods and services for decred.
if more people do the same for decred in their countries, soon all of us who are here now, will be much more rich  Grin
It would be great if in the future be developed a decentralized market running on blockchain of the currency.

This is interesting! Of the ten that I randomly chosen of the 601 members, NONE were ever involved in cryptocurrency before and don't even talk about such today. Three others I clicked had no activity prior to 2014.

I'm curious as to how many of those 601 members participated in the airdrop but have yet cashed out because they don't currently need the windfall there in Brazil where most the members call home. Maybe it's just a Brazilian thingy and I don't know what I'm talkin' 'bout.  Roll Eyes

Team Cryptsy didn't a give a shit about their family and friends, so don't be surprised when you learnt that they don't give a shit about their customer base losing millions. It was fuck you, they're getting theirs from the get-go. Even Leroy Fodor's 3-year-old son figured it out when he was only one upon conducting his first Google search.

I think that is the only explanation that almost the whole family (igotspots, muddafuddah, r3wt etcetc) can be found in this thread. But I don't feel sorry for them..probably lots of their worthless premined coins and partly swapped bitcoins are stuck at cryptsy now. It is a big loss for them, but they have found other exchanges for prolongation of their copy work.

From the looks of https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=522235.msg6767469#msg6767469, an exit strategy was already in place.

Won't be able to say we weren't warned.

9 months left to find a place to live.  I hear Costa Rica is nice.

Rest assured that Americans aren't stupid enough to elect any subpar candidate. Look at the competition and see... On second thought, tell us more about Costa Rica. Any butterflies down there?

Hey, have you got any ideas how to give back to Bitcointalk?

I have been here for around 6 months and I am enjoying my time, learning a lot.

Since I have found so many good stuff, I want to give back to Bitcointalk.

Have you got any ideas how?

For the meanwhile, the only free stuff I got is free catholic books, like Catholicism for Dummies, Catholicism DVD series (this is worth like $40 and $100 each). Like thousands of it. If you are interested, PM me and I'll send you the link.

I hope I don't break any rules.

Edit:
Because someone requested me to share it in public:

Amazing what a kind PM can accomplish. Note to self: Need to try this approach more often.

Riddle:

Leroy Fodor was walking one day and reached a fork in the road. There stood two people identical to him. One claimed to be a truth teller, albeit Leroy had his doubts, the other a serial liar like himself. Leroy was allowed to ask only one question to either person so that the reply would offer up the correct road to his destination.

What question did Leroy Fodor ask of the two, whereupon the answer led Leroy down the wrong path, but only Leroy knew where he was going?

Riddle of the Osirians?

If I were to ask your fellow companion the question, which road would he indicate?

Leroy took the other road.

Later, Leroy would lie about taking that road claiming that we twisted his words. Then, he would lock that road so that others won't be able to take it again except him because "he's on a new path now."

You know there's a cliche at play here "always look at the brighter side of life" or is that monty python?

a) I've never ordered a BFL product.

b) This guy is a Romanian Scammer (pro-tip hide your money):

c) The Earth is fucking flat.

d) Imagine what you'll know tomorrow as a result of Application Specific Integrated Circuits?

e) Having no dog in this fight I must say there was some feeling of "stress relief" watching the FTC fairy swat BFL with a blunt object.

Meanwhile, the YouTube videos I choose to watch are presenting me ads of iFLY in Kansas for some fucked up reason. I swear I thought I recognized one of the dudes in the commercial playing with the kids.

The follow review is what I would love to read:

Aime B: I just took the kids to McDonald's and the new guy named Josh was so kind to us, especially the kids. I'm glad that McD's hires those special to sweep the floors and clean the toilets. I was so amazed with him, I struck up a conversation and asked how long does he plan on staying with McD's. He said two weeks, give or take a lifetime.

WELL DONE!!

I saw Elton John Live in Maryland in 1976 as a (very) young teen, lol. He sang that epic song, I recall.

I had to ask an older upper classman to drive me there!!

THANK YOU for giving me the opportunity to report to the Bitcoinverse that Elton THREW his piano bench into the audience that night & injured fans in a coke-induced fairy fit of pique!

Yep, paying for front row seats didn't pay out that nite!

I won tickets on the RADIO for SkyBox Seats!

Yep, I'm freakin' ancient!

But I lived to tell!

W0w you old bastard! I think the first one I got to was 78 Ted Nugent Weekend Warriors. Took me forever to remember what I saw first thought it was Sabbath but I didn't see them till Heaven and Hell I think. Those days are a little Blurry. Cheesy

My first concert was of Elvis Costello who I thought was an Elvis impersonator. Me, not being an idiot, left during the second song upon figuring it out that he wasn't. Years later, my first real concert was of Blue Öyster Cult which Artimus Pyle opened for in Nashville, TN. Months later I figured out why Artimus did mostly Lynyrd Skynyrd covers.

Amazingly, I got more betterer smarter as I got older. I mean look at me now. A piller of the bitcoin comuntitty.

Nice catch, this is great. I've got about halfway through and I love how you get to play detective by looking at certain documents and evidence etc. between the actual episodes, and try and piece together what's happened. It really works well with the fragmented narrative style. Excellent stuff so far.

Think about it. Any story could be told this way, even one about Satoshi Nakamoto. Or of Bitcoin. Or of a piece of fiction centered around Bitcoin.

if this helps with distribution curve question

Exponential decay in subsidy or the number of coins generated per year. Also i gues that means no halving but steady decline.

I have not read this but i guess you will find a formula in there for block rewards.

https://decred.org/dtb001.pdf

EDIT: I cant find a number but this clears some things

1) The PoW and PoS subsidies account for 60% and 30% of each total block subsidy, respectively.

2)In order to have an ongoing source of funding for development work, a consensus rule has been added to allocate 10% of each block subsidy to a development organization.

Maybe we have to look at MC2 coin's ann which is found here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=169204.msg1759914#msg1759914

Although it gives no starting block reward. Read point iii) Miner Reward Algorithm in this pdf

http://mc2.xwebnetwork.com/storage/mc2_0.05.pdf

Dev can you please say if you have changed any parameters from MC2 paper?

Are you and _ingsoc the same person?

I registered netcoin.io primarily out of urgency a little while ago after a conversation with TT about it as we thought it could be a good potential domain name for Netcoin.

This coin have big potential, more buy is now Smiley

Bring up devs (c0) too gready. Too much premine. Leading to too much PoS rewards. More than 50% of all PoS rewards. That is 15% of all blocks for bring up devs. Bring up devs will have to "throttle back" to give others any chance of PoS reward. A chance to PoS if the pool is ready in time. Bring up devs get 450,000 decred PoS reward this year to sell. Probably more. Then again next year.

The "bring up" devs, (c0) get all this PoS for nothing. (a "hidden bonus" on their premine) It's not going to decred devs.
decred devs get an empty pot. A pot that will receive LESS per block than c0 bring up devs will get. For nothing.

Now that decred dev pot must be spent (as it receives) on shit like wallets. Not innovation.
All hiding behind anonymous F _ingsoc.
This coin has little potential. Sense say sell now. collect your btc while you can.

Oh wait, you dont do details? facts? just opinion? just shill? just buy?

Are you that butthurt? All i see in your post history is fudding decred and neucoin. When you can't cheat a free distribution this is how you react?
Do you even understand how pos is working at decred as from what you say it doesn't seem so. Others won't have a chance to get a POS reward? How so? Their ticked won't be included in a block? Why excatly? There will be N number of tickets doesn't matter if 90% is bought by devs and 10% is bought by the others or 10% by the devs and 90% by the others because the number of possible tickets is the same. Every invidual will have the same chance not with like normal pos where the weight is stolen by the premine. The ticket price will be the same for the devs and for regular users too.
What about the premine...BTC, DASH, ETH, etc wasn't premined/instamined right.

Every sane person can realize that your words are clearly fuds for a whatever reason

Oh, do you hold neucoin?  What about "other" alt coins? not comparable to bitcoin, sorry.
Your history shows you came here straight from trolling a different shitcoin!

So the PoS is different here? You clearly don't understand. No problem, I also found anonymous F _ingsoc particually unhelpful on this subject.
What does davecgh say about devs (he means c0 bring up devs) PoS rewards?  (is that davec here?)

davecgh says,
"The developers have publicly pledged that after an initial stake mining process to help secure the network, they will throttle their stake mining early on in order to help further foster decentralization. So, let's say only 50% of the airdrop coins only end up being used to mine stake. The developers would throttle their stake mining back accordingly."
forum.decred.org/threads/understanding-of-proof-of-stake.180/#post-2179

So "an initial stake mining process to secure the network" WTF is that?
Looks like davecgh and his chums had planned to PoS nearly all the decred rewards at the start.

I say "had" planned. With no PoS pool it will still happen.
(in part, because staking on the existing wallet is impractical/unachievable and will result in "very limited" participation)

As anonymous F _ingsoc stated, (in unrecognised response to my insight) "A stake pool is going up very soon (today or tomorrow [Feb 12]), so any user can get involved in voting and PoS mining using a web interface. That's critically important."

I got the promise of a pool for you. (same time I got launch delayed, remember?)
Will the PoS pool be delivered?

Then "after" that stake mining process, davecgh would "throttle back" their (c0 bring up devs) stake "accordingly"
Bullshit.
How can that be done except "manually" and "in response to" over staking and therefore over 50% of all PoS rewards?

What about compounding?
Try asking anonymous F _ingsoc. Anonymous for a reason.

Yep, same Dave Collins: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=davecgh

One day soon they're be more women in Africa using blockchain technology than all those using such currently regardless of gender.

I'm sure that at one time others mused about more women embracing Linux. Do you think women were concerned as to what the OS is on their Google Android phone when they first considered purchasing it? I'd say their decision was based on price point, reviews, etc., with what OS being on the bottom of the list, if it was on the list at all, with its style perhaps easily rounding out the top five concerns. Today, those same women are using Linux to rap with their lady friends about soaps, America Idol, etc.
