7121  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Irrational 1% Jealousy on: July 01, 2013, 06:51:30 PM
It's not necessarily irrational jealousy, it's just typical jealousy that people are trying to rationalise and they seem to take the view of  "If that guy has it then why can't I?" when confronted with this situation I find it's best to try and put them in the position of being the rich guy, I bet you the majority of the time they'd dodge the question Tongue if they had that sort of money they wouldn't like the idea of people taking it away from them by force either.

I even see this kind of logic in government departments and such, here in the UK as most of you probably know we're facing a lot of cuts and all I ever see from all the groups is variations of "You can cut anyone else but not us" and it's that case again where they're happy to take money from other people but if you do it to them you're a scumbag.

Supposedly he's already in Russia at Moscow Airport, but who knows what they'll do to him over there.
7123  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to build confidence with girls ? on: July 01, 2013, 06:32:39 PM
I don't know if any other guys here are the same, but I have this thing where I can talk to a girl absolutely fine even if she's a complete stranger but if the conversation goes towards flirting I completely fuck it up lol I've come to the conclusion that I'm just really sucky at initiating.
7124  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ed Snowden, NSA, and fairy tales a child could see through on: July 01, 2013, 05:23:59 PM
Feel sorry for US citizens these days with having such a bad government.

Our governments are just as bad, they're just better at covering it up.
7125  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Advertising Network on: July 01, 2013, 10:41:38 AM
I don't think there's all that much of a problem with Anonymous Ads, the payment system seems quite good, the problem is there aren't many people using it yet, you also have these marketing twats who hate the idea of not being able to annoy people with their ads and spy on them so they won't give the money unless you go by their rules, see the hatred of adblock as a great example.
7126  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: icbit.se refusing to release funds on: July 01, 2013, 08:21:37 AM
This is precisely why I hate the idea of trading with margin.
7127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the Bitcoin 1% manipulate the currency, deceive its user community, and make on: July 01, 2013, 08:00:58 AM
This person just lost all credibility when they said the '1%' I am getting sick to death of people who claim to represent me when they fucking well don't and in a lot of cases have completely opposite opinions to me.
7128  Economy / Digital goods / Re: BitShop - digital bitcoin shop script [PHP/MYSQL] (v0.9.1 NEW) on: July 01, 2013, 07:56:32 AM
Thanks for the update Bitfreak, I'll give that a try and see if it does anything different, as for physical products, I guess what the people asking for physical products must be looking for some kind of automated system but I don't see what would be so hard about just putting the quantity of items and having orders emailed in via the little notes section, you'd just have people write the email and postage address they need and then it would be sent off. Since it's Bitcoin, you don't need all these silly amounts of details in order to just buy a physical item, it's just a different system that the customer and merchant has to get used to the only difference to the normal system is you don't have several input fields to go through which I actually prefer because my real name causes all sorts of problems with those stupid databases.
7129  Economy / Goods / Re: What you wanna buy using bitcoin? on: June 30, 2013, 08:11:23 PM
If you want to know what I'd do if I didn't find it so boring, find out what stuff you can bulk buy at a discount, small, mass produce goods are usually great for this, you can then sell it off for a price people find reasonable and then expand with the money you make because the market is quite literally just one or two internet stores for now you'd probably have an easier time of it than if you were going into normal markets especially if you provided a nice selection.

Walmart actually got off this way because they priced their goods so low it forced their competitors out of business but anyone going into wholesale and supermarket style shopping with Bitcoin don't have any competitors to worry about right now.

Very interesting but needs subtitles because of how noisy it is >_<
7131  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens when the bonds mature? on: June 30, 2013, 05:32:37 PM
Like you say, it will either go back to paying off debt, or the more likely option it will collapse because the money they're trying to buy up the bonds with is becoming worthless so they'd have to print more and more in order to pay for it and because no one else except for them will really be taking part in the process you get the Weimar republic or Zimbabwe scenario.
7132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: State of the Real Bitcoin Economy on: June 30, 2013, 04:24:13 PM
I know this is just going to make me sound like I'm just placing blame and dodging the real issue but I think a lot of the slow adoption etc. is due to the government sponsored attacks not at Bitcoins network because I'm not tinfoil hat wearer because I'm talking about attacks against the actual philosophy behind Bitcoin. Neo-Keynesians HATE Bitcoin since it's a living example against everything they stand for, even when they come on here trying to act polite and diplomatic they basically just ooze passive aggression and they'll make up outright lies which certainly haven't helped with spreading Bitcoin to mainstream businesses. What certainly doesn't help as well are the twats who go around freezing the accounts of Bitcoin merchants, maybe we do need to get more pure Bitcoin companies up and running for sure because our governments certainly aren't going to be nice about all of this.

Eh, maybe it's Summer but I've been a bit pessimistic lately when I see people being so openly attacked for associating with Bitcoin but I guess we should've known this type of thing would happen, as has been said there has been some real growth in some areas, I've noticed web hosts and VPNs all over the place taking Bitcoins too but when it comes to physical goods however not much is going on at least in a properly organised capacity.
7133  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Pessimism Thread on: June 30, 2013, 04:17:30 PM
Stonesetting is motherfucking annoying when you forget how to do it properly.
7134  Other / Meta / Re: Banned For Trolling... on: June 30, 2013, 12:58:53 PM
Yeah as far as I know for most ignore functions PMs get through which I think is a daft idea, also JackJack who cares about trolls? They're harmless and sometimes actually quite funny Cheesy, while I think scammers who don't use virus' etc. shouldn't be banned but mocked the ones who try and force their way into the computer are the same as thieves and muggers. You should be concentrating on them, not going around banning people someone said something the others didn't like and if there is no PM ignore function it would be a good idea to put one up too.

Banning people for saying mean things to each other is the kind of thing the people who claim to represent us do and it's pathetic, this is why I'll only now show up on places that have properly working block functions, people have every right to say what they like about me or someone else, doesn't mean I have to read it leaving block functions off just leaves room for all sorts of harassment.
7135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: EU Proposal Seeks To Regulate Internet, Ban 'All Pornography In The Media' on: June 30, 2013, 12:34:09 PM
Porn on internet? Bad
Porn in ads on the road? Porn at TV? Porn in the tube ads? Sexism everywhere? No problem

In my strange country there have been cases of lingerie road billboards being banned cause ppl complained they are distracting and may cause accidents Wink
On the other hand they keep driving while holding a phone not to mention thousands of drunk drivers caught every year...

Girls distract me all the time when they're jogging but I don't go saying we should ban girls jogging on roads lol Cheesy
7136  Economy / Digital goods / Re: BitShop - digital bitcoin shop script [PHP/MYSQL] (v0.9.0 NEW) on: June 30, 2013, 12:17:41 PM
I have most of Bitshop figured out now but is there any particular reason why I'd be getting this error? Everything else works including making products etc.

There was an error creating the transaction. Please go back and try again.

If it helps I've made a test file key, I'll keep checking over the instructions to see if I can fix it myself, also getting these weird problems where the admin login page won't confirm my login and let me in.
7137  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: EU Proposal Seeks To Regulate Internet, Ban 'All Pornography In The Media' on: June 30, 2013, 12:10:04 PM
If you read carefully or rather properly you'll see it's just a report and the only actual legislation that's been put forward was by Iceland which only involved strip clubs and printed stuff every country has their own crazy shit like that, the EU parliament tries this shit all the time, I suspect if they get an earful like they did with the SOPA bill they'll likely drop it.
7138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: EU Proposal Seeks To Regulate Internet, Ban 'All Pornography In The Media' on: June 30, 2013, 11:18:56 AM
At least this is better than the racists we got before.
7139  Other / Meta / Re: Banned For Trolling... on: June 30, 2013, 11:15:41 AM
I still don't understand why the mods feel the need to ban people when there's a perfectly good ignore function available, you can't protect people from their own computer illiteracy, it's like Bitcointalk is turning into facebook and we'll have news items soon enough claiming the mods need to do a better job despite their being a fucking obvious ignore button right at the profile of the user that's annoying them.
7140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How hard is the 21 million cap on bitcoin? on: June 30, 2013, 06:08:17 AM
As people have said, if you just up and change the limit on the amount of overall Bitcoins and think no one will notice think again, so far there have been some relatively minor changes in comparison that have made people rage on these forums before, that's the beauty of open source.
