Username: actmyname

Hopefully I will be accepted by myself.
Even you, actmyname?

You see? Even the doctor can't cure himself. Can't you read the title that campaign is FULL? And to even think this was the same reason you gave me negative trust a few weeks ago abd called me a spammer who couldn't read before applying. What a shame!

Now what's your reason for applying in a campaign that says FULL? I guess you never read the title before applying as you accused me or that you just were welding powers and flagrantly abusing the trust system. SMH...
7142  Economy / Services / Re: open again: Merit System Upgrade in Altcoin Section: Receive Merit from me on: February 21, 2018, 05:08:46 AM
changes: i will think twice if the poster has a paid signature.
Perhaps, OP has run out of merits to give. Otherwise, I don't see why he allows this buildup on queue even with posters without Sig campaign like this below as quoted.

7143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can I have two myetherwallets. on: February 19, 2018, 05:31:01 PM
Yeah make as many as you want. i have one for each different token to minimize loss if i get hacked. And watch out for fake myetherwallet sites with 1 letter spelt differently, there is a lot of those around trying to get you to enter your private key on there cloned site so they can steal all your coins.

To avoid one word being spelt wrongly and then getting phished, users of MEW should always have the original myetherwallet site home screened on their devices.

7144  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda removed from DT network via 3 exclusions on: February 15, 2018, 12:49:00 PM
PM me once shorena removes my own negative. I mean, I'm I on a permanent ban?
I mean like tit for tat? Serving it back?
For who knows when do I have to still wait till shorena removes the neg on you before you undo mine?
That wasn't a literally "wait for X, then do y"; you missed the point. I addressed your case in a previous post:

No. If you aren't self-biased, then you would complain about very similar cases not solely about you. OP is a prime example of this; don't be like OP.

Where I have served out your ban for   (3 months and counting) - a mistake you alleged on me that wasn't mine originally.
You are not banned.
Instead of trade blames and literary interpretations and misinterpretations of words and sentences, what would it cost you Lauda to review the said account of this user as he has alleged that your neg rating was done in error of what he didn't know even after three months? I believe that should be a subtle way of resolving some of these things.

Are we likely going to see a repentant Lauda or a more stiffened Lauda after this drama?

Your reference was that he tried to cheat the SMAS list. Isn't that a bit harsh of a punishment?
7145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can We Consider Bitcoin To be An Anti-Government? on: February 15, 2018, 09:26:12 AM
I don't think so and I know that isn't so. Except we want to look at it as anything that liberates the masses is against the government.

In the general perspective we could say it might break the backbone of communism but not capitalism. The truth is that the leaderships of most nations of the world have not really taken out time to under study how Bitcoin works and what constitutes it. The world governments just perceive that since Bitcoin is created to be decentralized and allows the masses an opportunity to make wealth without relying on the government for that it should be tagged anti-government. This the a reason most of them (especially China) ban or strangulate Bitcoin.

7146  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can one trade without losing?? on: February 15, 2018, 08:24:03 AM
Two basic things are against you, OP. Even the best of traders would lose under the same conditions. The first is Your Emotion should be out under check. Devoid yourself of emotions whenever you are trading. Second, learn to read and follow The News. It isn't enough just to base your trades on TA (Technical Analysis). Always add news to your TA. It aids trades.
7147  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda removed from DT network via 3 exclusions on: February 14, 2018, 05:25:11 PM
I guess many are lurking behind the doors and watching how the punchline goes between the DTs on this so as not to be caught in the crossfire. For this many, Valentine can't be better than it is today.

However, on a serious note I think the policing system here has really helped put spammers and scammers on check. Lauda (Just like many other DT members) could be high-handed in negging accounts most times and then become unresponsive to pleas afterwards. But that is not to take it away from them the near sanity their checks have brought to this forum.
7148  Economy / Service Discussion / Why is campaign rates dipping? on: February 14, 2018, 09:48:05 AM
Honestly, I don't understand why campaigns keep dropping pay rates while the price of Bitcoin is abysmally dipping. I don't get this because it used to be the excuse given in the past by campaign managers for pay cut when the price of btc rose out of control. What is going on now?

I hope no one takes this post personal and begins to reel out the creed, "We don't post to get paid" stuff like doctors do on their oath. I don't want hypocrites responding here because those who will sound holier than thou will be the first to switch campaigns if a higher paying one comes up.

All I seek is an explanation, if anyone cares.

NB: I asked this question yesterday on a service thread without response. I hope someone with experience responds here.
7149  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is it safe to login my binance details in cointracking? on: February 14, 2018, 08:56:25 AM
I never used CoinTracking but It should only ask you for an API key which you can create from your Security page in Binance. Make sure to check the 'Read info' permission only so they can only read data and you should be fine. They are probably asking you for login details because you weren't connected when they redirected you to Binance.
Do you use a better one?
Try the Tabtrader. You should be okay with it. It can be easily downloaded from the Google playstore on Android. Input the API key (follow the instruction from the poster above) and you are good.
7150  Other / Meta / Re: Chances of signature campigns being removed from this forum on: February 13, 2018, 09:19:37 PM
I read comment by the admin that if the merit system fails to reduce spam from the website, he might take decisions like removing the signature campaigns. This is scary for me.  I am not eligible for any campaign yet but I was hopeful to get enrolled in one. If this is going to be implemented for sure, I might not be comfortable participating in discussions. I will though read posts by other members for information needed.
If this is carried out and signature campaign is stopped in this forum, it will have a devastating effect both on the devs and their ICOs as well as forum members here. Believe me here will become a graveyard of a sort overnight. Every dev knows he has to approach this forum to get his advert done and that is why most forms have compulsory columns for BTT forum name and rank.

Whether we admit posting for reward or not, all of us  will surely be affected. I would like for Theymos to embark on a one month trial of this and see what happens
7151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you would have 2 BTC, what would you spend it on? on: February 13, 2018, 03:27:21 PM
I'm currently looking to spend a few more bucks in altcoins.
Here's my current portfolio:
* OriginTrail 40%
* CPChain 40%
* ICON 20%
* VeChain 20% (I'm putting more in Vechain before the rebranding as I expect to see a big rise after it.)
These 4 are my main longterm coins.
Let's resolve the calculation around your percentage holding first. 40+40+20+20= 120%. Shouldn't your total holding have amounted to 100%?

Well, there are very nice but undervalued coins in cents and below $5 one can load in thousands with a few hundred dollars. Sonm, Centra, Dalc, even ripple are some of these coins. Just split your money into bits and go for the deal. At least, 20,000 units per coin.
7152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Preparing For The Litecoin Fork - Which Wallets Support Fork? on: February 13, 2018, 01:49:53 PM
You can be sure Binance will support the fork as it has supported all Bitcoin forks in the past without hassles. Even when I wasn't checking on what forks were going on I have had mine credited to my account on Binance.
7153  Economy / Services / Re: ICO: Ratings and Reviews Sites on: February 13, 2018, 10:32:15 AM
What really is the essence of the ICO rating sites when sometimes the highly rated sites end up scamming the unsuspecting public and investors? I seek to know this because I ended up getting scammed after buying into regalcoin (after the ICO) and Westerncoin (at ICO). The hype on these coins was something else until the devs ran away with investors money.
7154  Other / Meta / Re: 🔥List Of Extraordinary Posters🔥[In Progress] on: February 13, 2018, 09:41:39 AM
Wow! This onslaught is pure savagery on the OP. But it is well deserved if anyone asked me. What was the OP even thinking while making that subjective list of his Hall of Fame Extraordinary Posters, if I may ask. Did he think that people here won't see beneath the hidden Merit farming that is the intent of this thread in the first place? I bet money of his mentioned posters will merit the OP because it is a shameless plug. I honestly think this thread should be locked. It is not serving any genuine purpose.
7155  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin bull run begins now? on: February 10, 2018, 03:37:33 AM
Will this prediction by some Crypto Experts that 2018 is a Bull year for Bitcoin To $50k, ...
before predicting $50k at the end of 2018, I want to hear them predict what will be the lowest price in 2018?
so I can buy at the cheapest price before bitcoin making its bull run Grin
I'm guessing these experts were buying at $18k Tongue, that's why they said $50k so that they can unload at $30-40k Wink
I think they did say it would bottom at $5,000-$6,000. Perhaps not many believed it because bitcoin was at its ATH of $19,000+ then. Now reality has caught up with everybody and the total market cap plunged from $800+ billion to $384+ billion. What a huge crash.

Talking about those experts buying at $18k, that would the comedy of the year...
7156  Economy / Economics / Re: Money Is Political, Not Technical on: February 09, 2018, 01:02:06 PM
Money is political and that supposes why fiat of every nation has the backing of their respective governments. Anything that has a store of value could be money once it has the government policies around it for that. Since Bitcoin hasn't got that policy backing of the government to become money, it can't despite how a means of exchange the crypto community sees it to be with all its technicalities.
7157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Profit for one investor means loss to the other one? on: February 09, 2018, 11:45:31 AM
The other person not necessarily ends up with a loss. What if the purchaser in June 2017 doesn't sell it for $6000, and instead waits for the future increase instead like $12,000 for instance, so he still wins $2000 in the end. There's more to that in the markets, and it's much much more complicated (I think). But yea, whether we like it or not they're gonna be losers in the markets. There's always going to be those people who FOMOs in and panic sells out.

P.S. Correct me if I'm wrong
Ok, let us take it away from Bitcoin and into forex trading for instance. How would you explain what happens each time someone closes a trade in profit? Don't you realize that someone else loses? Of course, that's how it works. I once bought regalcoin at $62 not knowing it was at the overbought. Now regalcoin is shitcoin at $0.30+ or so. At the time I bought, someone sold and took profit, right? You see, that someone made profit but I lost out. That's the way it works.
7158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on advisors when choosing a good ICO project? on: February 09, 2018, 09:09:19 AM
To be honest, I don't bother with the advisors. But this is not to say that If I see the face of a thief on the board of advisors that I would over look that and go ahead and send my cash to them. Of course, not. My may concern isn't advisors but the roadmap of the coin, its use and the expected total supply. If a coin is in billions and the ICO price is high (say up to $1), that is a no-no sign for me. I believe supply is key in determining the price of a coin. But if it's a couple of cents I might just toss them a few dollar for so many coins.
7159  Other / Meta / Re: How do you upload a photo on bitcointalk.org???? on: February 09, 2018, 04:07:40 AM
It's about time Sir Theymos or these moderators here: nanotube, Luke-Jr, SomeoneWeird looked into this issue and get it resolved. It has lingered far than necessary over the years. Except someone unveils to us that there is a business partnership between imgur and BTT. Otherwise, I don't see any reason we should be going through imgur just to post a picture here.
7160  Other / Meta / Re: very difficult to get merit on: February 09, 2018, 03:51:54 AM
what about the merit directly from the moderator? Those who determine whether our posts deserve a merit or not

Listen Pajeet... Your post quality and English is not that hot - If you are here to just make money, you should just go find a real job in life - You can't just magically get merit, sorry.

I know it must be frustrating, but I'm sorry, you must improve post quality, your English... If you are not here to earn money, you don't need to worry about merits. Cheers.
Talking about post quality, I do believe this post quoted doesn't qualify as one with quality because of the unnecessary repetitions in the bolded sentences. So, you too have to up your game and stop poking your fingers in other's eyes.

OP, one of the moderators' jobs isn't to ascertain whether your posts deserve a merit or not but they can decide if it's trash to be deleted or not. We the community here on individual level decides that. Anyone who finds your post constructive or that it provides a solution to a question raised can award you a merit. That's simply putting it.

But I don't think you have done anything great to deserve one. Improve your post quality.
