7141  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bitcoin is pretty easy on: March 24, 2018, 05:28:10 PM
as I can see, you're a holder, not a trader cause you just  buy BTC and hold till the price rise but a trader often trade everyday so you're not a trader Smiley)).
You must be a good carpenter for nailing it on the head. Kiss Spot on.

The important thing is to believe that bitcoin will continue to go up, like me
Trade what you see and not what you think as you are currently doing. Otherwise you will suffer great loss in the future. You may be lucky doing what you do now but that isn't a trading strategy. It's purely emotional trading.
7142  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance issue on: March 24, 2018, 03:57:32 PM
This is a well detailed story line but is there a link to this perspective you just shared here? Although I read about the move to Malta on Bloomberg:. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-03-23/the-world-s-biggest-cryptocurrency-exchange-is-moving-to-malta?srnd=cryptocurriences

It would really be sad to have Binance suffer any crackdown. It's the darling exchange of many now.
7143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin going to be forever pump and dump? on: March 24, 2018, 03:04:51 PM
Bitcoin, a pump and dump? Come on dude, there is something called market forces in elementary economics. Perhaps you skipped that lecture in school. Not to worry, you can acquaint yourself with something on coinmarketcap. Just scroll down to Historical Data and click. There is a table displaying a whole lot of data on the bitcoin journey there.

You should know this is just a correction, not a dump.
7144  Economy / Services / Re: ALAX.io Signature Campaign on: March 24, 2018, 04:49:37 AM
When this signature campaign end sir manager.
I hope you find out that posting here does not in any way increase your post count (or anyone's) in any signature campaign. So, quit spamming as you aren't even one of the participants here to warrant a worry
7145  Economy / Services / Re: Bank account in Malta. on: March 24, 2018, 03:27:08 AM
I can help open bank account in Malta.

Not neccesary to go to Malta, we can do everything online

So what you are basically saying is that you are selling your Identity/ passport for 100 bucks?
And the news now that the Binance Exchange seeks to move office to Malta may quicken the rush for this seemingly clandestine deal.

Here is the link to the Binance news: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-03-23/the-world-s-biggest-cryptocurrency-exchange-is-moving-to-malta?srnd=cryptocurriences
7146  Other / Meta / Re: New rules to rank up is nice. on: March 23, 2018, 07:44:58 PM
Ouch! Another whining post on the merit system. This is becoming so bland here that everywhere now in the forums oozes Merit. Merit this merit that. Aren't we bored already with this now redundant exposition?

I believe this so much whining will also surface were this forum to suspend or ban all signature campaigns. Perhaps, Theymos and co should experiment with this as Google, Facebook and Twitter are doing currently with the ban on ICOs.
7147  Economy / Marketplace / Re: issues on the internet on: March 23, 2018, 02:44:09 PM
what if we make a positive issue about cryptocurency that may make or affect the rise and fall of the market price of cryptocurency and here we are in a very big community, isn't that likely to affect globally ?
And I warn (you), sternly. Do not think that bitcointalk.org is a Communist state where people are expected to think and reason alike. This won't happen here. Everyone (most) here are reasonable to think differently. Otherwise this forum would be zombic if we were homogeneous.
7148  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without knowledge on: March 23, 2018, 01:22:31 PM
A lot of people do trading even if they don't know nothing about it
That quote is the major advantage crypto trading has over Forex trading and people are short changing themselves ignorantly for that. Nothing is as costly as ignorance. Those who do this may escape a while but certainly they eventually get hurt as they suffer losses. There are no shortcuts in success.

I knew some ppl who start trading on a wave of hype and they wasted all of their investments bcz didn't know basic point of trading..
Of course, that is normally how it ends.

it's no problem because you can still do it even without the knowledge and the problem is trading without capital,
Sigh! Sadly, here is one of such who think trading is gambling.

Verdict
Trading without knowledge is...disaster
7149  Other / Meta / Re: How long will merit exist? on: March 23, 2018, 06:25:54 AM
I just only wondered about it.
Nah!
Don't mind what anyone says here. All accomplices to frustrate your peace of mind.  Shocked
Try getting the right answer from a priest. Any that foretells the future. Hold on! Look no further. I think I know the answer. The merit system stays forever like a second skin to the forum. Tough luck!
7150  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie Account with 10 Posts/Activity and 100 Merit ?! on: March 23, 2018, 04:48:10 AM
Theymos to the rescue.

All explanations, suggestions and speculations offered here seem to have fallen short of logical manipulation. The account in question, GiGa#, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;threads;u=258817;sa=showPosts has a mere 10 posts and activities since March 2014. That's a horrible post history to earn such Merit to start with.
7151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin White has been renamed to BitWhite? on: March 22, 2018, 11:48:59 AM
а разве изменение названия монеты влияет на саму монету!? может это просто сокращенный вариант от основного имени! я ещё не сильна в таких вопросах, так что только догадки!
This is not a Russian or Dutch class, please.

On to a more serious issue now. The BTW had to have a name change because of pressure from its telegram community in respect to a name that shouldn't have bitcoin associated to it since it wasn't pretending to be a Bitcoin fork. The community saw the project as having what bitcoin didn't have and by that was expected to surpass Bitcoin within years. But their greatest undoing was hushly getting listed on a scummy exchange. That listing crashed the value. But I believe the devs are getting the coin up back. Though it's taking time to reflect in the price and value at the moment.
7152  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-22] UK Government is launching a Cryptocurrency 'Task Force' on: March 22, 2018, 09:06:40 AM
Yah! This is some great news. The G20 summit is beginning to yield fruits. Rather than continually warn their citizens to desist from cryptocurrency or ban it, the various governments should regulate it. This technology has come to stay and the earlier these ones understand it, the better for them. This was the same struggle that greeted the advent of Internet mobile telecommunications at the time the landline tech was in vogue. Just like the banks and the blockchain tech now. It's a war already won.
7153  Economy / Services / Re: [Sig Campaign] BravoCoin on: March 22, 2018, 05:13:49 AM

Hi, we're looking for senior members and up to participate in our signature campaign (seeking about 40 users)
Of course you will get your 40 users, but not quality posters at that reward rate. Oh, wait! It's a practice on rhymes: 0.04/40.
7154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GEOCACHE AFRICA 2018 .1BTC is yours for the taking on: March 22, 2018, 04:05:46 AM
I haven't been in Africa...
You haven't? Yet you are feasting and belching on your ignorance? Come on dude. So, you stay in your livingroom or basement and pass judgment on a thing or place you don't even know? This is ludicrous, really. I don't mean to be rude but you now see that prejudice is a very wicked and misleading  hyperbolic vice.

Side note
I am an African and Africa is far ahead of whatever description the Western world has of it like RodeoX rightly pointed out. Trust me, you won't find humans with tails in Africa. We walk on two legs like humans in the Western countries and have some of the Nobel Laurents coming from Africa. Our only problem is bad leadership which is corruption itself.
7155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Snapchat Confirms It’s Banned ICO Ads on: March 21, 2018, 05:24:42 PM
What could be worse? Bannings of crypto-related search results on Google. I really doubt that would happen though.
On a serious note, that would be taking the fight to the streets if Google does that. As for Snapchat, it barely has enough subscribers to get that ban noticed. But truth be told, ICOs should either be banned or highly regulated all through the platforms. They have become convenient ventures for easy scams..
7156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [CLOSED][BOUNTY][ICO] ONZ Coin - DPoS Blockchain for Social Networks on: March 21, 2018, 11:17:39 AM
ONZ is a fork of LISK, which is a public Blockchain platform that provides
decentralized Blockchain apps. LISK as a fork of Crypti, which is considered as
the second most successful cryptocurrency crowdfund. LISK correspondingly is
most popular cryptocurrency traded second to Bitcoin. LISK has also partnered
with Microsoft to integrate LISK into its Azure Blockchain as a service (BaaS)
program, which proves LISK and DPOS technology are well adopted in the
industry. ONZ is forked from LISK and runs independently as an individual
Blockchain network.
I don't get this. What is the point of this information if you didn't include a sense of direction to it. Are you saying the onz project is terrific or a misfire?
7157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you support to open bitcoin or crypto in college level? on: March 21, 2018, 07:15:17 AM
Would you support to open bitcoin or crypto in college level,so people can go to learn exactly what they need to learn about bitcoin.
This is the right opportunity to put that idea to practice, especially now that G20 summit has somehow given a positive nod to cryptocurrency. The blockchain is the new economy and many entrepreneurs are already keying into this awareness. So, the earlier kids are taught that in school the better for the global economics.
7158  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: seniors were the reasons of this merit implementation? on: March 21, 2018, 01:26:41 AM
If people like you keep whingeing about competition over sig campaigns, they will ban all sig campaigns, and a bloody good job if they do.
Sigh. At a point I felt it was the right thing Theymos should do to restore sanity here. A 4-6 week pilot scheme experiment on this should do.
7159  Other / Meta / Re: I'm reluctant to award merit in threads started by me. on: March 21, 2018, 01:06:29 AM
I'm probably stupid in taking this somewhat traditional attitude, and I have awarded merits in my threads in the past. I'm cruising through some threads looking to award merits, but I'm having trouble finding posts that I like. Maybe I'm a bit distracted because I'm listening to political comments while I do it.
If I am politically correct...
What would make you stupid is if you skip meriting a meritorious post that isn't in your thread only to award a crap post in yours. That aside, you are doing ok.

Absolutely. I for example specifically reward quality posts in my FAQ threads. Not only good answers, but even good questions.
After all, I'm better able to determine the quality of a post in a topic I myself am interested in.
Of course, one can only give what one has in one.

That aside, I have noticed that the merits no longer flow like before. Could it be that the zeal in meriting posts is gradually weaning?
