I have not replied back as it is said to do so in the message. Things got very fishy after he wrote: 'very active' forum member. I decided to check the last posts and they had gaps of up to 2 weeks with not too many posts after them. Then I went to have a look at the 'Trust' on the profile and both Seclog and that says that both password and email were changed today.



This was just an hour after he had hacked the account.
To be honest, I think it is just another user who is as hungry as Windpower, wizardee and possibly Hashforce101 to offer their scam Campaign management services for quick money through possible escrow scams. All ICOs should be careful when hiring anyone for their management services.

We feel that this is the best decision for the contestants as all funds can be escrowed and spent immediately without having to wait for the OPP unfreezing. BTC payment has been bumped up from 0.03 to 0.06.

Thank you all so far! It certainly looks like China and JP has had an impact on bitcoin prices. I just hope it will get resolved in chine soon and the prices will return to 'normal' (circa- 4200 USD).
 
I guess nothing can be classified as normal in the case of bitcoin due to its volatile nature.

Can someone please explain what is happening to Bitcoin and why it has so drastically dropped in the last 24 hours?

As per preev.com Bitcoin is currently @3150 USD - quite low for such a high price not long ago.

Is China to blame for this or is there something else in the bigger picture?

After some talking with the developers, SergeyG and Opporty, we have come to the conclusion that the prize will be increased to a total of 0.06 BTC. We think that is an adequate amount to ask for a decent looking set of signatures for our upcoming bounty. Thank you all for your interest and we hope to see many designs  .

You are correct. OPPORTY would like to have a better looking design for different member ranks, (junior, member, full ... etc.) The image that is being displayed is just an example that represents the project.

I think avatars were able to be put up by any rank some long time ago (I think, don't quote me on this though). It is now disabled and only full members and above can upload it.

This rule was put in place as many spammers made accounts and distributed inappropriate images via the Avatar. It is better this way for the community and gives moderators less work to do in terms of spotting out the bad ones from the better 

This questions has been answered countless times before on the forum. All bitcoin wallets will do, there is no 'best' one. It all depends on your usability style. Do you want extra security or more of ease of access. Personally I would recommend Electrum as a Bitcoin wallet if you do not want to buy a hardware wallet. I have used Coinbase for some time before and it was absolutely bad. (To say the least.)

I do not think that there will be a time in this world where and when everyone would be using just 1 currency. A lot more depends on such things than corrupt politicians and officials. A unified currency will never happen for fiat. It will always be different to each country or territory. The only type unified currency that may be a possibility is cryptocurrencies; such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. It has the power and potential to send an receive payments in a matter of minutes from whoever and whenever you want. That is far as it goes for a single currency in this world.
