721  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Computer hardware for BTC? on: May 19, 2011, 10:53:14 PM
Speaking of computer hardware, I myself would like to start mining from home on my own. I know with the next few difficulty increases I will mine less and less but I also need/want new components for my gaming rig.

I don't know as of yet which motherboard can take 2 Video cards and am planning on getting 2 ATI 5770's. Ram I only want As cheap as I can get and a good enough PSU.

Any recomendations?

That's a vote for Bitcoin, hell I even went and suggested Ron Paul as a guest too.
723  Other / Obsolete (buying) / Re: [buying] BTC for $50USD (PayPal) on: May 14, 2011, 11:06:58 AM
No Nero, it is ill advised to buy bitcoins through a service like paypal, because of the charge backs, you would be eyed by scammers. I think you already know this.

If you figure a way for yourself, let us know what you did. Buying into the Bit Coin market is splitting my head in two.
725  Other / Off-topic / Re: Today: Global March for Marijuana on: May 14, 2011, 01:47:06 AM
Me neither, but I am damn glad this post didn't get any replies.

I don't want a bunch of stoners in charge of creating the currency of the future Wink
http://cannabis.wikia.com/wiki/Global_Marijuana_March_2011

Now... there's something I never came to understand why is it forbidden in the first place...

Woah woah, so much hate and misinformation in here!

@BCE: The reasons for Cannabis' illegality is actually plethora! All the way from J. Anslinger using  racist shock  and  propaganda in 1927 to the big lobbying interests in the government today, all the way from pharmaceutical industries, paper industries and many other groups with vested interest in not only keeping it's recreational use illegal but its industrial applications as well.

You ask yourself, "why is it illegal today?" well, ask yourself, why was alcohol prohibition started in the first place?

@GIGA: You deride "stoners" as if the entire group is bad people, do we judge all groups because of the bad apples?. Yes, some  people are criminals and use drugs, but some as astro-physicists, mathematicians, chemists, teachers, and there are even law-abiding-tax-paying citizens of the countries that prohibit cannabis use(even if using cannabis recreationaly is breaking the law in the first place).

Deciding whether or not putting things inside your body should not be a job of the state especially when it harms no one, not even yourself.

727  Economy / Economics / Re: How can Bitcoin be used to promote ethnic diversity? on: May 11, 2011, 03:22:49 PM
I am Puerto Rican, my skin town is brown. Due to the thread starters logic, I deserve free bitcoins due to the color of my skin and origin of birth.

Give me bitcoins or you are racist and propagate white dominion over the lesser races. Don't be racist, send me your BTCs here and I declare you non-racist.

Well, that;s it for me, EOF had lucks side, and I am now broke. Good Game and good luck to all. Be careful out there, gambling is more addicting than drugs if you don't notice.

sorry thirdway; hope it wasn't your last .4btc !

Admin should note that thirdway said he was folded before seeing cards one hand.

It's alright, it was my last 2.50, and I was only playing for fun, not profit. I don't take this personally. Make nothing of it.

I'm going to play but there is none around. And this is me willing to bet my last BTC2.50 because I lost quite a bit in blackjack haha. I wish I hadn't gotten scammed when I first started, but such cases I guess. I will be in the small bets room
735  Other / Obsolete (buying) / Re: [SELLING] 100 bitcoins on: May 08, 2011, 11:50:20 PM
Sorry guys. I'm a month later...

This was the first time I'm profiting 'cause I was busy enough not to make a deal.

Am I holding a deflationary currency? Thanks God yes.

Valerius

I am willing to buy. What is your asking price?

740  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [Potential Selling]Foodstuffs and one other service on: May 02, 2011, 11:47:08 AM
I have two more fruits and one more vegetable to the list available.

Guavas
Papayas
Small Tomato (the little mini round ones, not regular tomatoes)

Also, though it makes things a bit harder sometimes to start a grow I do not use any pesticide. Anyone can up and say they don't use them but if anyone is interested I can go around the backyard and take pictures of what is currently growing and will be available most promptly.
Though  I can't force mother nature.
