Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?
I'm Satoshi Nakamoto. Thread answered. Nothing to see here, move to next topic! Wink

So does it mean that Bitcoin have more natural and realistic "interest" mechanism?

You failed to answer one vital question: Where was the pastor/priest/etc during all this? What was the church's opinion on the matter? And that VHS tape does me no good. I need something I can look at, not something you can look at and tell me about. Forgive me, but your objectivity is suspect.
The pastor was gay himself. Google for Maris Sants. He is the pidar pastor that got his ass kicked out from christian community. It was long ago and back then I was using VHS system for video. Probably goggling for Riga pride 2005 will bring up some videos from that event.

Assuming they're not harming anyone, I have no problem with them.
Then all your common sense are totally gone. Not to mention moral values. You perfectly demonstrated this. I got impression that You are capable of thinking different than mainstream media and also a gun enthusiast. It is untypical for such person to be fag supporter.

I like how all those people begrudgingly line up for blocks to be the first iPhone buyers, knowing full well that the price will drop by a lot within just a few months.
Exactly! And they don't know that Nokia N8 or Samsung Galaxy S2 are better than any iPhone. Consumerism at the height of madness.

If All in Vain had noticed the theft within a couple of minutes of it happening, it’s conceivable that he could have got his money back. But he was asleep — and ten minutes after the theft occurred, it was utterly permanent and irrevocable
Amazing! He don't know how hacking or Bitcoin works but still don't keep his mouth shut.

Inflation is bad, but deflation is worse. The reason is that in a deflationary environment, no one spends money — because whatever you want to buy is sure to become cheaper in a few days or weeks. People hoard their cash, and spend it only begrudgingly, on absolute necessities
Example of corrupt capitalistic thinking. It is not a drawback at all. It is very good thing. People will not spend all money on unnecessary shit but only things they really need and cannot live without.

Not sure how turning the name Paypal into a homophobic slur really accomplishes anything...
Some russian carders call it ПидорПал

It does not accomplish anything except none likes gays. And I'm not sure that PayPal can do much about Bitcoin in long term. They started to ban Bitcoin listings but it is short term solution just as discounts. eBay can start to accept BTC and act as escrow service just like with PayPal.

Many substances have both benefits and bad effects. Including alcohol, marijuana, amphetamine and so on. All comes down to proper consumption.

Sugar is not poison. It is high energy source. But I drink my coffee black. I grind the coffee beans and pour with boiling water. I don't add anything else. I don't like sugar anymore and milk makes me sick.

Why would they want to enter a church? Was the priest/minister/whatever of this church among the crowd preventing their entry? Do you have a news report or other article regarding this event? (Russian is fine, Google does a half-way decent job with the translation)

I have to say I don't approve of use of riot police to remove a counterprotest.

You guys certainly have some difficulty getting that whole "peaceably assemble" bit down.
I have unedited VHS video tape from that event. Police using force against non-violent and passive protesters, including older women and teenagers. Jut for the "gay" people to enter church as an act of blasphemy. I'm not christian but I understand that the only reason for church service that day was to provocate and infuriate christians.

And what about "peacefull assembly" of necrophiliacs? (their assembly really must be quiet and peaceful Wink )

You're right, I don't believe you. Yours is a dwindling voice.
Different parts of world have different moral and cultural values. Different laws. Good luck forcing decriminalization of alcohol consumption upon Saudi arabian muslims!

What?

People are open minded enough to use this revolutionary internet currency but do have issues if some people around them don't follow the 2000 years old Biblical view of "proper" human relationships.
If homosexuality was "proper" then every people would fuck everyone else. More than 90% prefer opposite sex as sexual partners.

I stopped to believe the concept of god in the same day I learned that Santa Claus and Easter bunny are fake. My parents were atheistic as well. Opposing homosexuality and other deviations is nothing to do with religion at all. I have no religion, don't believe there is anything supernatural in world etc. It just happens so than in USA largest anti-gay protesters are christians. Here christians are protesting too, but main body of protesters are ordinary people.

Maybe all of the scared people just are too scared of their own bi- or homosexual thoughts. This is just insane, I couldn't care less if there are some gay couples walking in the streets, it's none of my business
It is not true. The homosexual controlled press and television make people believe this bullcrap about protesters being hidden gay themselves. I liked naked women from age 9 when I started to masturbate. Of course I cannot prove that I have no desires or thoughts of having homosexual affairs.

It is my business if I find something disgusting and unpleasant happening in public. If I'm in cinema with my girlfriend I would not like to see a gay or lesbian couple around. It is like someone eating dog shit instead of popcorn. In both gay and dog shit cases I will kick the sicko out of there.

Coffee can be addictive. But it is not only stimulating and legal drink. Drinking Green tea or strong black tea have similar effect.

Have been drinking 1 pint of strong natural coffee every morning. Every single day last 3 weeks. I needed it to wake up and get me in shape. It was thin balance between feeling energetic and then with few more shots having mild panic attacks and heart racing. Today I did not drink anything at all. And I feel OK. And I'm not overly sensitive to caffeine. Can drink energy drinks without noticeable effect. Either my coffee brewing is too strong or it have some other natural ingredients to make it more potent.

"I think there is a world market for maybe five computers." - Thomas Watson, president of IBM, 1943
In 1943 there probably was. And Bitcoin now are in 1944 to speak proportionally. Bitcoin is tiny right now compared to world economy.
No, we just hit the 1980's. This growth is only "not sustainable" because eventually we'll hit saturation. But that's still up, from where we are.
Nothing have changed in past months. Bitcoin adoption rate have not increased 10 times to justify 10 times price increase. I'm very skeptical about it. Like I was skeptical about 2011 june price rise, pirateat40 and Butterfly Labs. But even if I'm wrong this time, it is good for Bitcoin.
Riiight....
No financial crisis to rock confidence in fiat, or increased visibility, or major news hit in the past 10 days, nosiree.
Do You really think that way or argue with me in spite because of my views on gayfags? I know about what is happening in Cyprus. It does not surprise me at all. But the masses of sheeple will not adapt Bitcoin or have ever heard about them. The sheeple will seek new, better Cheesy banks to keep their money. Not to mention that in some parts in Europe the only way to legally receive salary and payments is trough bank transfer. Do You think all of the scammed depositors are buying Bitcoins right now? Would be great but I doubt it.
Nope, but major news sources talking about bitcoin tends to drive new users. An influx of new users tends to drive higher prices. This is what you are seeing. Virality.
Probably. But Bitcoin and SR was more prominent in news back in 2011 when first bubble formed. Anyway we will see what happens in next weeks or months. Anything else is wishful thinking. I want Bitcoin to be a success as much as everybody else here but I'm trying to keep cool head in my predictions.

Bitcoin being great tool for buying drugs and money laundering are selling points that differentiates it from PayPal or similar controlled systems. I see no problem with it.

P.S. Dictators cashing out using Bitcoins must be a joke.

Me. Currently I have 0 coins. I check the price approx once a day so I will not miss the moment when bubble hits the fan.
Still got that buy order in for 1000@$0.01, eh? Wink
Thanks for sharing idea! It is almost as good as solo mining on my old Pentium4 CPU. I might get lucky if bits align properly.
Hey, if you're gonna be a bear, go whole hog.
I'm not a bear! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bear_%28gay_culture%29 (speaking of our recent conversation Cheesy )

But seriously I suspect that most of buying are caused by want-to-get-rich speculators and with something happening that can cause panic sell might do it. I don't know how low BTC prices might fall, but current price growth are not sustainable.

100 kilowatts? Did I read correctly? It is like electric train accelerating.

739  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Instawallet/Bitcoin-Central Security Breach on: April 03, 2013, 02:30:16 PM

So you think if I have used only Firefox in safe mode then it should be all good?
Yes. Firefox don't leak URLs unless some malicious add-on or antivirus/firewall does it. And the safe mode for Firefox are not meant to be "safer" mode of operation. It is only for troubleshooting purposes if some add-on or plugin causes it to crash.

The URL leak is not Instawallet fault, I found another service who still have exactly same problems. I did not manage to find any coins in there but it is only matter of time. At least I will work back the coins that have gone with Instastealwallet.

If I'm going to run away with 4000 coins I will not post message that I will be back. I will post something like this: "Na nana nana I got Your coins and You will not see them again, na na nanaana!" together with picture of Eric Cartman.
740  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Instawallet/Bitcoin-Central Security Breach on: April 03, 2013, 01:05:50 PM
For first Instawallet URL hack I think the Google Chrome is to blame. I never used Chrome outside VMWare test environment and I recommend anyone not to install Google Chrome on any computer for this privacy reason. If there is any technical need when Chrome is preferred over Firefox, then use SRWare Iron that have all bad things deleted. The use of URL as a private key is not a big security problem because SSL also encrypts the URL and prevents anyone from seeing it, including Tor exit nodes, FBI, etc. As long as the browser history are safe and not compromised, the URL is safe.

I have no idea about second hack. If it is true that the servers are suspected to be compromised, then it might take some time to install new operating system on new hardware, test and secure the setup before it is launched public again.
