Putting up a small wall on bitfunder at .0025.
722  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 19, 2013, 02:38:45 AM
We need to get http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/ to include the FastHash rigs in their calculator.

Great idea, I will try and get them to add it.

Question for Ken:

Will we be able to get shares from Bitfunder transferred to BTCT once ActiveMining is approved on there?

(subject to a reasonable minimum number of shares)

There are no provisions for that at the moment.  I think when we get enough help, we would be able to do that in the future.

I will be taking down the wall on bitfunder, for dividends payments.
727  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 18, 2013, 07:27:14 PM
I can't see price going down from here not back to 20 so today is the time  to load up more if you ever want to.

Considerations for my timing:

1. Friedcat may release an announcement in the middle of next week, this announcement may cause a spike in AM share value, as FC's announcements often do. This would allow me to sell out at a nice peak.

2. I need to get my ActM shares BEFORE the sell wall falls. If Ken receives the money from pre-orders in the next three days he may take the sell wall down before it is purchased up, unleashing The Kraken.

3. I'd like to get the absolute best value from my investments, so I want to optimize my timing/share value during this phase of growth.

Decisions, decisions...

I'm buying more as well.

Ken - do we get some kind of estimate or announcement as to when sell wall goes down? Or are you just going to pull it?

It will be announced in the this thread right before the wall goes down.

Are we getting closer to this event? It'd be nice to have more of a heads-up than a post on a forum we may or may not be watching. So far we've done our own math to figure out how close we are to the NRE, can you confirm that in three days you should have the total NRE and at that point you will pull the wall down?

No, I can't at the point.

Should we get a couple of more big sales and the wire transfers are received, then the wall could go down in an instance.
729  Economy / Securities / Re: Active Mining Speculation Thread on: July 18, 2013, 07:19:01 PM
If all the orders still require wire transfer, couldn't it theoretically be one person placing a ton of bum orders to screw with ActiveMining?

We have their name and address, the orders seem legit.

We have just now added a new $4,199 Order and this is a bitcoin order so it is paid.

Everything is picking up with our ads on Google getting 214 clicks already today, after a slight pause while
Google made sure we were real.

VMC website problems:
1. On main page it says "Free shipping"
But during order stage 4 I see DHL shipping = $200.

We do have Free Shipping, just order enough product and you will get free shipping.

Quote
2. On the order page it says "Available", but in fact it is a pre-order. Misleading.
Please avoid becoming another BFL, and state thing clearly.

Fixed, Every product that is a Pre-Order has a Pre-Order prefix.

Quote
3. Pricing issue:
Base model + 1 module = $4000, but Base model + 2 modules = $10,000. How come?

Special price, just purchase as many as you want, no limit.

Quote
4. Supply/Demand - the current situation with ASIC market is a joke.
I cannot find an ASIC mine anywhere, except Ebay Avalon for $30,000 bucks. (Which I'm not ready to pay)
Every single company offers pre-orders (with 1 year delay; BFL) or nothing.

If the machines I am selling were in stock, the price would not be $3,999.

Quote
My suggestion: Put a batch of production-ready mines on an auction at VMC. Not pre-orders. Actual and working mines.
And place a very small minimum ask of each mine, near production costs.
If you have real working mines traded at VMC at auction, we would *solve* the stupid Supply/demand issue in a short order.

If the auction fails (no bids), the mine temporarily goes to AMC department for in-house mining until next-week's auction. Repeat.
Auction selling will allow the company to determine mine's real, free-market price. AMC should also be allowed to bid.
Capitalism is about solving problems, including supply/demand problems.

As an investor, I don't care if money comes from mining slowly or as a one big sum selling the equipment.

If Avalon sold batch #1 mines for $1300, and a few months later I find an Avalon for $30,000 on ebay, then something is dead wrong here.

How are we going with the AMC BTC-TC -----> AM BTC-TC. I see its still awaiting approval by BTC-TC?

Nothing on that we can do but wait for approving votes

BTCT would probably give at least 1 more approval vote if the requested ticker were changed from AM to ACTM.

"BlackLilac voted ABSTAIN with comment: I find it very questionable that this asset is trying to use the abbreviation "AM". That seems like an apparent attempt to cause confusion between and/or association with ASICMINER."

I share the same opinion - at the minimum, it gives the appearance that ActiveMiner is embracing brand confusion as a marketing ploy. Why not clear this up?

The ticker is ActiveMining

Update:  Removed the AM after ActiveMining in the details.

I think that is a good move, kslaughter. I have removed my objection from BTC-TC and voted to approve this asset.

Best of luck.

Thanks

Ken, you told me today on the phone that you need to raise about 1 million dollars and so far you have made half of that.  You need to make the rest within a couple weeks, which will be pushing it.

I realized after I talked with you that I had one more question.  You had posted earlier about getting pushed around by recent expenses, and that a lot of expenses were unfortunately paid for when BTC was at $68, and so you lost some money there.  We would like to know how expenses will affect your ability to cover the NRE with 1 million.  How much are these expenses.

The coming expense is for production of our Avalon clone boards for our 20,000 chips coming in.  Also, we will need a place to house these machines when we get them built.  That expense has already been covered and is not in the above estimate.

Ken, I need to correct some possible misinformation given.  I linked a post in the speculation thread, the first post, back to where you said previously that the assembly was paid for the Klondike boards.  Why is there now a second expense for this, and why is it being accounted for now?

It is not the Klondike boards, it is the Avalon clone boards for our 20,000 chips.

Ah ok, so my information is accurate:

20k chips already paid for
The 68 boards, at 16 chips per, 1088 chips and assembly paid for
Now the coming expense on the quote with the Engineering firm for the remaining chips to be assembled onto the Avalon clone boards

Is the above accurate?

Yes

the deadline for the NRE is 30 days from july 2nd, correct?  That means if you don't have the 1 million raised by august 1st, you will rely only on other manufacturers chips from that point, rather than your own...
yes it's icing on the cake, but a lot of people are betting on that icing.. for you to have rights to a superior chip that nobody else does would mean you would have an upper hand on the market

We have just launched our Fast-Hash-One machines yesterday and already have sales of $62,799.00 so it is not going to take more than a week at this rate to have the NRE.  I have also talked to the Director of Sales and those 30 days were just our original estimate to them to get the funds. There is no fixed deadline, but of course we want to start producing chips asap.

Is there a limited availability for October/November batch? if so, how many units are left?

Cheers.

There is a limited availability of 230.4 TH/s of equipment, since our machines are very expandable we can not go by
a certain number of machines.

$500,000 wouldn't even be made if 2 million more shares were bought at .0025, is AMC in a cash crunch?

No, indeed not.  We do need the ~1 million for the NRE; however, that is not required to keep the business running.  We have ~306 GH/s going live in about 3 weeks with our Klondike boards.  After that we have ~5,640 GH/s going live in about 6 weeks for a total of 6,346 GH/s.  Use a bitcoin profit calculator to see our cash flow after the next 6 weeks.  Getting the NRE will be icing on the cake.
