721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Blockchain and Crypto on: January 29, 2019, 11:57:09 AM
Just finished listening to a podcast episode about the future of blockchain and crypto.. very interesting and thought I'd share.

http://cryptoandblockchaintalk.com/what-does-the-future-hold-for-blockchain-and-crypto-in-2019-interview-with-jonathan-dunsmoor-44

Feel free to discuss, what are your thoughts? Times are interesting after 2018 I'd say.

There's nothing to wonder about Blockchain. Almost all countries are working in this field. However the future for cryptocurrencies does not look very good.
722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it ok to lock your bounty for 4 months on: January 29, 2019, 09:00:36 AM
If it's part of their strategy then you can't anything about it

That's not fair. In the end, it should have the right to save money for a coin that it invests. I think just because of these arbitrary practices, the ICO will end and the STO will begin.
723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Should I Expect The Next Bull Run? on: January 28, 2019, 08:52:27 AM
I got into Crypto July 2017 , as newbie i was much afraid so i never took the risk so 2017 bull run pass over me .. 2018 the expectation was really high  so i took the risk but things fall apart .. I invested $5000 in Altcoins last year but right its  worth  less than $400 ..  I know one  day there is going to be another bull  run .. Should i expect the bull run this year or i should  expect it in three years time  !!

In this market nothing is certain. First of all, you should know that. The expected bull may not come this year. 2020 and later it seems possible.
724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tired of waiting? on: January 28, 2019, 08:49:57 AM
If the bear market stays longer than expected will you take your leave and forget cryptocurrency ever existed? But the marketcap is getting larger and larger is that not enough to change your minds and stay?

The market is growing rapidly thanks to new arrivals coins and tokens. However, the economic value fell due to the decrease in the price of Bitcoin. A post-bull market value will reach very high levels. It doesn't seem right to leave the market right now. I think there will be a quick breakout from behind.
725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will start investing in ICO if on: January 27, 2019, 06:56:05 AM
This is one of the biggest problems of ICOs. Projects can make ICO process as flexible as they want. For example, last year when the ETH price was $ 800, the project was not successful, but decided to return the funds it collected. The price of 1 ETH was $ 200 when they decided to return. Investors kept their money for months and their money fell to 1/4.
726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to create fake IDs for KYC for airdrops on: January 27, 2019, 06:51:38 AM
Read this thread about the dangers of sending in real IDs: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2975942.0

Some were suggesting to send in fake IDs.

Is there a good tutorial somewhere on this forum? I tried the search function but couldn't find it. Thanks.

That didn't sound like the right thing to me. It causes more SCAMmers and more unfair sharing. Like or disliked KYC has a purpose. If you do not want to do KYC, do not participate in the project.
727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we stop promoting scam project? on: January 27, 2019, 06:49:39 AM
Most of the bounty hunters do not get payment despite their hard working and some gets a little with shit token. Can we prevent it? Just an idea.

What if we everybody stop to promote a project which offers only token?
For launching a project, the project owner or developer should have some money to promote the project. Say for example- they have to escrow a minimum of 40% of the bounty allocation in term of usd or btc. Only then we can prevent scam ico and bounty hunter will get their money. Can we start following this rule?

If we can make a clear definition of SCAM project, we can stop it. But there is a problem. Sometimes I come across in the forum, a member of the forum claims to be a friend and the project is SCAM. But under that project dozens of bounty participants are starting to defend the project. How do I know? It's me!

Everyone thinking about himself. No one thinks for another...
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung Galaxy S10, Blockchain Keystore Ethereum Wallet on: January 25, 2019, 12:59:09 PM
There has been leakage photos of Ethereum wallet page in Samsung Galaxy S10!!

I do not think it is true, and Samsung has already denied, and i feel unnecessary and ineffective.

What do you guys think?!?!

It was a story that appeared a few months ago. I think there was even a denial from Samsung.

https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2018/07/23/samsung-coppay-cryptocurrency-baltics/

Samsung manager, "Blockchain application in the direction of the phone in the direction of the news is unfounded" has even made an explanation.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICO's Dead? on: January 25, 2019, 12:53:15 PM
NOPE

I say - they are ALIVE!

Yeah you hear me right!

They are ALIVE because they can no longer sleep on one ear knowing funds will come in regardless

They are ALIVE because they focus on building the technology

They are ALIVE because the market requires this

We are going through a maturing phase - the strong will survive and they will deliver.

No one will remember the ones who quit - no matter how strong they presented themselves to be

People will remember the ones who stayed and delivered.

I am part of the www.elrond.com team

Our prototype is now opensource and very soon we will deliver the first version of the testnet.

Even in a time when the market was so shabby in the last 3 months, ICOs collected $ 160 million. I think it's too good to expect a dead person.
730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs completed in the first half of January have raised around $160 million. on: January 23, 2019, 01:48:09 PM
When the market is so depressed, 160 million, I think, is a huge investment. Obviously it is a development that gave me hope for the future.
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee - has offcially lost his mind! Exiled, plans to run for the campaign on: January 23, 2019, 01:46:20 PM
Cryptocurrency promoter John McAfee, announces that he is charged by the IRS, flees US, heading towards Venezuela and still plans to run for the presidency. It's good though, he gets some attention towards crypto markets..haha

Article: https://blockmanity.com/news/john-mcafee-on-the-run-after-irs-charges-for-felonies/

Today, McAfee isn't on the agenda. The news I just read was that he fled the country because of tax debt. I think it's the wrong person this time. I think Uncle SAM doesn't leave anybody in the world for his claim especially if it is related with tax. Smiley
732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations or Anonymity on: January 22, 2019, 01:06:51 PM
These two have been topics of debates for quite some time. Some want Anonymity, while others want Regulation. Either of these two will work best for us.
It will get to a time that we just have to choose between Regulations and Anonymity.

In my opinion:
If blockchain  is redesigned without privacy, everything will work fine. Full KYC will make scams impossible.
What is your take on this?

I think it's two-in-one. We need to be able to move anonymously in a regulated market. This regulation should not be too strict. It should be flexible structure suitable for decentralized applications.
733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bank and crypto industry unite or be linked? on: January 22, 2019, 01:05:35 PM
If this will happen is it possible that decentralization be compromised?

Currently it is already established a bond between Ripple and some banks. This can spread in the future, of course. But I'm not sure if this kind of relationship can be established with decentralized assets!
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning network capacity of Litecoin up by 116% on: January 21, 2019, 02:03:55 PM
Lighting is very nice in theory. But no one actually knows what it is. The team is completely enclosed in the box. They say development is going on, but no other information!
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mistake you should avoid when holding your Altcoins on: January 21, 2019, 01:59:42 PM
We have to learn when will we sell our coins or hold it. Sometimes HODL brings profit, sometimes trade. Timing is very important. So it matter of know when will you move.
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Pump after dump? on: January 19, 2019, 03:26:13 PM
After the downfall before few days, BTC is pumping and it is good to see, similarly other Alts too following it. I believe we are slowly going forward to see a good value in couple of days.

We've seen the similar script several times. Bitcoin does not do so slowly. On the contrary, it is growing so fast that you cannot keep up with the price you want to buy.
737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH vs EOS vs NEO vs MOAC vs ICON vs ADA on: January 19, 2019, 03:24:37 PM
I think this table is a table prepared by MOAC. And you need to confirm the accuracy of the information.

These comparisons are not very reasonable. When we look at the market value may result in bitter results.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to expect from crypto in 2019? on: January 16, 2019, 02:41:37 PM
I am waiting for good news from Ethereum in this year. I learnt about Bitcoin about 3 years ago. And I always read about Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin in someday. I am waiting what Ethereum big rise and go for moon. I hope it will be done in 2019.
739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Blockchain projects do we really need? on: January 16, 2019, 01:48:38 PM
As far as I'm concerned, you are hanging out too much for this decentralized issue. This is not today's subject! Satoshi has created a vision with a Bitcoin and the first Blockchain network! We are responsible for developing and supporting this. If everything moves forward in the future, we can all use decentralized methods.

I think all projects that are decentralized in the financial field can be useful. In addition, health projects in the blockchain network can bring great benefits. In the field of education we can revolutionize ... In every sector can be used blockchain. Let's just set our vision ...
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any additional cryptocurrency security tips? on: January 16, 2019, 01:40:45 PM
Hey,

I just read this article: https://coindiligent.com/cryptocurrency-security-tips and it mentions the following as the most important crypto security tips:

- Using hardware wallets
- Using 2FA
- Avoiding public wifi
- encrypting your data
- Not storing my coins on exchanges

Is there anything missing that I should be aware of??

I think the most important thing that can be done and done is to use the computer or the phone clean. Any malware that will infect your phone and PC will be very dangerous.

You can use your phone and PC only cryptocurrencies trade.
