I am dead serious when I say this: If you really did not spam intentionally you are 99% infected with virus/trojan and many accounts (email, exchange, wallet etc.) most likely are compromised so please take all necessary actions !!!
Please refrain from downloading every wallet you come across as there are more and more complaints of users being infected and crypto stolen

If you want proof wait for a mod to add a prinscreen of your autotrashed posts and you will see for yourself

On the other hand... ban evasion

Your best bet is:
1. take all precautions possible as you most def are infected
2. lock thread
3. open thread about initial acc. but let's be honest here... after ban evasion chances are slim

Your account was locked for bumping "free $25 casino deposit before withdraw shit announcements" ... last 9 pages full of bumps exclusively on these type of scam ann.
You wanted a reason and now you have 2:
A. Ban evasion (as Xal0lex said)
B. Spam (even worse, scam spam)

You can argue that somehow you got hacked, but if it would be true I guess you would have more things to worry about (email login, exchange login, wallet keys etc.) I am not joking! please reinstall Windows again and change all passwords, secure your crypto etc. And even if you are right, unfortunately we go back to the ban evasion issue. Sorry mate but things don't look too good

Just use the "report to moderator" button and one of the mods will look into it and take the necessary actions

Mention the username / profile link of your account and mods will look into this

That was actually the point, tho there were cases when even if not well established ... "their username" was used on several websites / projects and would not want it to be associated with malicious behavior ... especially HERE

After a brain storming session, throwing ideas on the wall to see what sticks ... one of them is still on my wall.

Would consider useful if users that wake up would receive an e-mail alert. Something in the means of "Hello X, after a long period of time we noticed activity on your account. If you did not login, please use this link to temporary block your account / change password etc. If it was you please ignore"

This might help in cases where accounts get hacked after years on inactivity and used for all kind of wrong purposes 

I think we should also address the general issue here...

If it is a general script that many users have access to and just paste it ... should there be a dif course of action ?
I completely agree with the "intellectual property" concept but this post for example is severely lacking on the intellectual part.
Is it plagiarism? Is it spamming? Is it a permaban situation ?

I think a bit more thought power should be invested into this...




 

Plagiarist hunting season has officially started and going strong...

You guys keep giving examples of well/decent established accounts getting permabanned for a weird copy/pasted shitpost that happened years ago and it got me thinking...

When they CTRL+C / CTRL+V they do this for 2 reasons:

1. get paid
2. rank up (padding their post count and getting merit)

I am aware that there was some talk about sigbans but I would also like to propose a merit ban.

Certain users that have an ok/good reputation and previously had 1 old plagiarized post (an interesting one that might be considered merit bait) could get a temp or permanent merit ban (maybe along with other forms of bans).

Not sure how much code would have to be rewritten but as these should and are handled on a case-by-case manner might be a useful tool when needed.
