721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) | Testing New Masternodes on: February 04, 2015, 09:09:19 PM
Nice new thread MyFarm/Spreadcoin_ ! I for one will be glad to see the handful of aggressive FUDster/trolls that have plagued the other thread not able to continue their disruptive behaviour here. But I'd be keen to still ensure people asking hard or difficult questions aren't shunned either. I'm sure you'll give people a reasonable chance to ask or vent before (when it's obvious what their objectives are) they're shut down. All the best.
722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) | Testing New Masternodes on: February 04, 2015, 01:09:55 PM
WOW That's all I can say about all of this. I go to class for two hours and come back to over 3 pages of BIG RED LETTERS from Newbie accounts repeating the same shit over and over again! This is just ridiculous now like honestly just childish shit! I still have yet to see any of the people bashing this coin put forth proof of any of their accusations! You can talk all this shit in big RED letters but you don't actually back anything you say up with concrete evidence whatsoever! I don't give a FUCK if I'm feeding the trolls because you know what nobody has been feeding them and they are still nonstop posting shit so I'm calling all you FUCKS out!! Show me evidence of all these accusations that you have made about SpreadCoin and I mean actual PROOF!! Not just saying that things happened!! Wolf0 sold an optimized miner...... PROVE IT!!! SpreadCoin can be pool mined...... PROVE IT!! I am honestly sick and FUCKING tired of you fucking BROKEN ENGLISH FUCKHEADS and your stupid FUCKING comments!!! Honestly how FUCKING SAD OF A LIFE DO YOU LIVE THAT YOU HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN POST THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN??? So FUCKING PROVE IT!! BECAUSE I CAN GUARANTEE THAT NOT ONE OF YOU STUPID FUCKING MORONS CAN ACTUALLY GiVE PROOF ToWARDS ANY OF YOUR CLAIMS!! I'M FUCKING DONE WITH THIS SHIT!! And I don't want anyone saying "Noob don't feed them blah blah blah" because you know what at least I'm fighting for this community and calling these fucking fools on their shit!! I hate to say it but that's more than the rest of you are doing because I don't know about you guys but if I was accused of being a scammer or a shitcoin pumper I would stick the fuck up for myself but then again that's ME! So there you go TROLLS MAN THE FUCK UP AND SHOW ME PROOF OF ALL THESE CLAIMS YOU MAKE!!

NoobKidOnTheBlock, It's been quite a few hours since your last post so I'm guessing you'll be back on here again soon. I'd just like to take the opportunity to counsel you on the dynamic you've unfortunately fallen into here and how you might be able to lift yourself out of it (advice from someone possibly more than twice your age, given in a spirit of care for your well being and benefit for this thread).

I am coming back to this thread (and several on Spreadcointalk) every couple of days to get up to date with what's going on with masternode and instant transactions testing. Unfortunately there's very little information here on "what's going on", mostly there's just a never ending FUDfest with numerous postings designed to bring discredit and your extraordinarily verbose and long-winded rebuttals.

Now, I can see that you're very passionate but you're also clearly young and inexperienced. What's going on here is almost classic school yard bullying psychology. In your post above you say:

Quote
And I don't want anyone saying "Noob don't feed them blah blah blah" because you know what at least I'm fighting for this community and calling these fucking fools on their shit!! I hate to say it but that's more than the rest of you are doing.....

but unfortunately you've completely failed to comprehend how this stuff works (and the damage it's doing to this thread). That you are so upset, that "the hook" has pulled on you so intensely and that you're so completely enamoured by the need to fight back and rally and lash out and scream and go ape-shit mad is a FUDsters dream scenario. They are just loving it! In their mind they're thinking "got hold of a real doozy of a victim this time! Ha!" and you're just playing right into their game.

Can't you see that every time you make a great big long post with hundreds of words challenging them to come up with proof and details, you're just giving them the great feeling they get when someone gets wobbled and upset. Think back to school (or maybe you're still there?) and how bullies had built-in radar that would scan the playground for anyone that would be intimidated and get upset. That's what they love; someone that fights back and gets all consumed by it. THEY LOVE IT!!

So, before your day on here starts again think about how you might just let "the hook" that catches you go on past without a word. Honestly, people coming here to BCT threads are far smarter than what you probably think. The fact there are so many people coming here saying constant terrible things about Spread is indicative of the worry and concern they have for Spread's potential success. Don't worry about them. For goodness sake, just let them go past and don't bite! You'll be all the better for it and the rest of us won't have to read such long postings that just keep coming ad nauseum because you're responding to virtually every FUDder and every little lie or mud sling they do.

I hope you'll take this advice in the positive spirit it's given. All the best to you.

I'm really, really sorry. I just can't take the name seriously anymore.

I know it's meant to represent spreading the word, love, coins, etc, and all that good stuff.

But it's just such an unfortunately pornographic name. That might sound sexy, i.e. naturally aligned and will therefore be used to buy porn, but one imagines being taken for an unfortunate ride by spread.  Now you mention fanboys and fangirls; I'm afraid that sealed the deal, so to speak.

Only a pervert would try to spin something positive into something sexual. But hey I can play your game too. I can say Darkcoin isn't the greatest name either. Im black so when I discuss crypto's with a few of my friends they say why does it have to be called DarkCoin and its be used to do a bunch of shady illegal shit. Thats racist. The hell is up with that. Who made that shit. That could cause a potential backlash if someone is ignorant enough to pull that card if it ever goes mainstream. Potential boycott of the coin by Reverend Al Sharpton. lmao I can troll too. I could be in the thread yelling racist coin all day long just to mess with people but im not. Cause thats ignorant and a waste of time. Just do work, actions speak louder than words. You'll see me working everyday to make this coin a top coin in anyway I can. I have a lot of ideas. I don't see you doing anything but typing words in a forum to fud a coin. do something productive with your time. Contact a few businesses spread the word about your coin. Do something constructive.

Hey, how's it going?

Would you believe you and I sort of agree on the darkcoin name.

I get lambasted by people in the darkcoin thread for saying the name suits now, but won't if it wants to go mainstream.

Do something productive? Sure, try here

Very interesting threads Coins101. I'd already read most of them. The recent one about crypto and torrents is particularly interesting. This is where I think anonymity will be of particular interest (for Torrent downloads). DRK and SPR have definite opportunities to get involved in these areas and instant transactions will also be key for on-line purchases that are likely in this space.

This stuff is what's going to push crypto along; unusual "sideband" (if I could call it that) applications where crypto really suits. I think there'll be much activity in these realms way before we see mainstream adoption.

So? Now are 2100 MNs and the number is increasing!

You argue to argue Smiley I don't tell, that I invested money and Evan must guarantee return of investments, etc. I tell, that MN payouts have to work properly as any other function. I understand, that working process is complex and nothing can be ideal.

It's simple to undestand, that it's not normal situation and you try to prove contrary.

Could you please read it again. DRK is in the development and since it is in the developemt, MNs payments are not going to work like if it was developed, because it is in the development! Work is in fucking progress! Like you go to unfinished house and complain why the elevator is not working as it was promised, well its not fucking working, because on the second floor electrical ecquipent is being install and needs the power to be fucking off for a  few days..  What is wrong with you?

I can't interfere in development process, but I think it's strange situation, that MN enforcement is off several days, but IX testing is in active stage. Maybe MN enforcement (mainnet) is less important, than IX (testnet). Imagine house with previously working elevator and in time people have to go on foot because elevator not working and team work on landscape at the moment.

CODERsp I think this interaction back and forth between you and BiteMyShinyMetalAss has gotten a bit out of hand in a way that you'd probably not intended. I can see from your writing that English is probably not your native language. If we were having this conversation in a bar over a drink, it probably wouldn't have gone quite as feral as it has, but alas, that's the nature of Internet forums where one can't see a person and interact with them via all the other forms of communication when you're physically present; we're relying purely on written words.

I too have had very inconistent payments on my MN over the past few weeks. Basically since that fork happened, it's been a bit messy. Do I wish it was better? Yes, of course. But like people are pointing out, what we have with our lead developer Evan Duffield is something so very special and of such substance that I'm not going to complain because I know that he works very hard and puts in enormously long days that produce much substance. I'm sure he wants the MN payments to be more consistent too, but there's so much to do and (again as others have pointed out) this entire project and the code that's been developed is still in beta. That means there are no guarantees or "SLAs" on the workings of it. It's still being tested/developed/refined. So we have to expect some stuff to not work properly and this payment system is one of them.

I'm sure it will improve but we all just have to have patience.

Coins, it's obviously your perverted mind in a runaway condition causing such difficulty. Here, I'll give you a different image/conccept to consider:

In Australia we have this stuff you put on bread called "lemon spread" (it's probably in other places too but I never assume that because we have this other stuff here called Vegemite which is a bizarre Aussie thing that if anyone from another country tries to eat they fall down on the floor choking; so it's generally not sold in other places except at specialty "Aussie" stores). Lemon spread is this (obviously) lemony delicious jelly sort of spread that's pretty yummy that you put on your bread. It's sweet, it's yellow and it's probably fattening but kids particularly love it.

Maybe, every time you see the word "Spread" you can think of lemon spread. The worst that can happen is you'll want to eat Spreadcoins.

A few questions:

So do these ISG3D people have a QT wallet somehow connected to their 3D printer?

Does the software automatically decrement one DRK from their wallet when it's finished printing?

Are the 3D printer versions of DRK fungable with the virtual ones?

How do I transfer the value held back into virtual (i.e. is there like an "unprint" button?)

Paycoin coming our way folks. Lost nearly 40% of its marketcap in the last 30 minutes.

Now at 0.005 (after momentarily having touched 0.0045).

Have you ever seen a sh*tcoin dump this fast ? I haven't. It's a sight to behold.

UPDATE: Now at 0.0044. If that was a cinema on fire people couldn't get through the exits faster.

UPDATE: Now 0.0037. This isn't devaluation, it's "evaporation".

Isn't it amazing how people can just blatantly lie through their teeth using all the words they think will pass them off as credible.

Have sent a report to Google too.

Better check that it is actually a scam and they're not actually just selling a stash of Darkcoins at a premium over exchange value.

It looks dodgy as all hell. Here's their contact page:

The site is:

I wonder how much it will be for each SPR Masternode ?

100SPR doesn't seem like much in the MN testnet version, if it does end up being 100 then everyone can have a MN pretty much lol

There will be a very interesting dynamic.

1000 MNs of 100 SPR will lock 100,000 SPR into masternodes, that's about 6% of the available coinsupply.

Now if only 10 MN owners decide to put 10,000 SPR into their masternoe, there will be about 200,000 SPR locked in masternodes, already taking 12% of the available coins.

Now, what happens if we have 1000 MNs of 100 SPR, and a new comer comes along and decides to install a MN for 101 SPR?
Well, one of the previous MN will have to be dropped, and all the other 999 MNs will say... hm... I could be the next one... my MN is very insecure... newcomers can just invest 1 SPR more and kick me out sooner or later?Huh

So people will start adding SPR to their MN to better secure it.

I expect initially we'll see some pretty comical stuff going on in regards to the number of SPR people load onto their nodes. It will be like watching a Harlem shake video; everybody very still, then everyone moving suddenly in radically different directions. Might even get some wave motions going with lots of MNs increasing their SPR count suddenly as others are decreasing with the gyrations settling down for a bit then starting up all over again.

Following on from LucD88's query about why his wallet balance isn't the same as his MN's address listing on the block explorer, I'd really like to read a guide on how addresses work, the specifics of coin control and the concepts around change (and why getting lots of dust mining payments makes your wallet.dat bloated and what you should do about it).

I know this is in reality bitcoin 101 stuff, but I feel like I'm missing key parts of how that all works. If anyone knows of a good easy-to-read document explaining this stuff, please post a link. I'm sure there are many others that need some education in this are too.

Everything is fine and showing what should be shown. The way he sent his coins ended up with change back (new change address). You can see that they aren't spent in the block explorer. Anyway, some reading:

Currently there are 3 groups trolling at this thread

         1. those who want to get spr cheap
         2. some Wackos like Hippie Tech
         3. Those who from Darkcoin- oblox , tungfa etc and many more with dummy accounts

What is the efficient way to deal with them?

1. use iron-fist to deal them
2. Ignore them
3. counter attack at darkcoin thread

What ever their intentions they are only making Spreadcoin popular. There may be people who sells huge volume purposefully , just to create panic in the market thinking people will scare away from spread ,but it is proven wrong. Price bounce back and this will increase the confidence of spread investors and to ignore those artificially crafted chaos.

If you genuinely believe that well respected members of the Darkcoin community and team are posting on here with dummy accounts then I suggest you just click ignore.  The individuals you mention are far too busy promoting Darkcoin to worry about possible competition in the future from our first proper forked coin.  From experience of the Darkcoin thread over the last year, the worst trolls almost always turn out to be supporters of your coin who want to buy cheap.

Any high profile Darkcoin supporters who are over here are interested in how you are developing the Darkcoin technology.  No more, no less.

I'd back up what stonehedge has said 100%. Honestly, we've experienced some of the worst trolling you can imagine in the DRK thread over the past year. Long term committed followers of DRK like myself and stonehedge, are just so over seeing the pithy, lame and childish manner in which these people operate. The DRK team is very serious and professional. While you may get the occasional flippant comment, on the whole DRK people feel pretty good that Mr Spread grabbed hold of this opportunity so quickly and so effectively (it indicates how substantial Darkcoin is and what a strong base to build on it's provided). It's just going to be so interesting to see how this all plays out and I can see long term synergistic relationship between DRK & SPR that will benefit everyone.

We don't need to have immature tribal rivalry and mindless spit-for-spat interactions with people who're from the DRK camp. Many of them are very keen to see SPR do well too (as are many SPR people keen to see DRK be successful as well). Lets just focus on getting the word about these amazing cryptocurrencies out to the broader community.

Okay some weird stuff is going on here.. I just updated to 11.0.14 and suddenly my MN wallet is showing more coins than it actually has.

http://explorer.darkcoin.fr/address/XvJPvhhtn9AQeL8t6KWCN6bR8UjyRetsta

Balance: 1005.95679 DRK
Last payment: 23-01-2015

Screenshot shows the same last payment, but the amount of DRK is more..??

And on a sidenote: I haven't received a payment to any of my Masternodes for the past 5 days. I'm either doing something terribly wrong, or am I just unlucky?

I haven't received a payment for 10 days. Haven't worried about it too much as my MN has been up and down a few times with all the updating, dropping-off problem and general network instability when the fork happened. But it's been up solid on 0.11.0.13 and now 0.11.0.14 for just under 4 days so I'm expecting I should get a payment any time now (and will start to become concerned if I don't see something in the next 24-48 hours).

You'll probably be waiting for a long time. They're pretty much a closed shop that's intensely LTC centric. As at a couple of months ago they hadn't added a new coin type for over a year. Not sure if that's still the case but people here in the DRK community have tried contacting them without much success.
