721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: December 06, 2023, 07:27:14 AM
As a leader, it's not a must that you should always follow the people's directives because sometimes they may be misleading as well, being a leader, you're saddled with the responsibility of taking an effective decision on the country's best of interest because you're being seen as someone who is best fit in leading the people and in taking a frontline decision that others will benefit from, this are the kind of traits El-Savador's president, Nayib Bukele is very good at.
I like your love and zeal for the success of Bitcoin in El Salvador and Bukele but a democratically elected government is accountable to the people and should listen to their yearnings. In the case of Bukele investing in Bitcoin, he received the support of the lawmakers and the legislature represented the people. Which means he received the support of the people before he invested in the Bitcoinspace. The protest and opposition that was widely publicized were sponsored by some anti-bitcoin forces that wanted to frustrate the uncommon decision by the president because the move will not benefit them..

Quote
Even if the people among others that have insulted him in the past are unwilling to make an apology, doing
such or not doing so does not make him loose what he has acquired as being a leader, we should expect critics from everywhere being in a leadership position, those are the pillars that makes one strong and determined for pursuing after excellence, because they are just for a short time compared to where we are going with the task ahead.
We live in a world where pride and arrogance have filled the hearts of people. In an ideal world, Bukele deserves an apology from people who sponsored and started a media war against him. They should acknowledge that they were wrong and tender an unreserved apology. But who cares if they don't, the young president is focused on staking more Bitcoin and plans to hodl it for a longer period.
722  Economy / Economics / Re: Do brands that take sides on divisive issues lose market share? on: December 05, 2023, 08:18:13 AM
Due to this, establishments should be very guarded in their utterance, they might be right or wrong, but they should know that if they vex their potential customers and partners, they could ruin the business. And of course, it's even easier to ruin small businesses, while some has been burnt down by extremist in the past. Caution is always needed unless your view aligns with that of the majority.
Many customers might boycott a brand because of its stance on some societal issues but more customers that appreciate the firm's decision will support the firm. There will always be two groups which are those who support and another who oppose the view or ideology. Anti-Semitism is gradually rising globally because of the war in Palestine and some brands might also take advantage of this to gain more market share. I am sure businesses in the Middle East, South Africa, Russia, etc will benefit from supporting antisemitism. Elon Musk might have peddled down on his views because almost all his business is located in the US and the government is the main supporter of Israel.

Your points are valid @EarnOnVictor that business owners should separate personal beliefs from their business if they want the business to keep flourishing. They should ensure that their comments align with the popular beliefs of their customer base or they risk losing a large chunk of customers.

You can see what happened to Ye when he made anti-Semitic remarks.
Ye might have lost some support in the West but it seems he is building connections in the Middle East where his views are welcomed.  Who knows, his antisemitism might be a business strategy to penetrate the Arabian market. Just guessing.
723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using AI for betting predictions on: December 05, 2023, 06:57:57 AM
To an extent, I believe the AI does better analysis than an individual can actually cover but the limitations that stops its perfection in prediction is that it only does its analysis from data feeds. So, if there is a new data generated and yet to be fed to an AI, it is obvious the AI will neglect it when giving predictions and that can render its analysis obsolete or invalid.
One advantage of AI predictions is that these tools are fast and accurate. They can easily gather information about each club and do a proper analysis which will lead to accurate predictions within a short period. So it could be a good tool for people who have limited time to analyse games and make predictions. But like others have pointed out, it has its pitfalls which include technical hitches. It is not a totally bad idea but we shouldn't depend on them. There is a place for human judgment in gambling. I know we all target to make a profit in gambling but there is an uncommon joy you get when you analyse the game by yourself and make predictions. And when it comes to sports bets, fans of a particular team don't need AI to make predictions because they will always place bets on their favourite club.
724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 05, 2023, 05:53:57 AM
I had no doubts about Inter`s victory, unfortunately Napoli have lost a lot of strength. Clearly I didn`t expect such a bad score for Napoli, 3 - 0 means that you were totally dominated.
Unfortunately it happens when there is a lot of difference between the teams.

This is a sad and struggling period for Napoli and their supporters, not witnessing good results in matches ruined everything for them. The difference between Napoli and Inter Milan diggers interms of performance this season. Simeone Inzaghi ensure he gets the best performance from his players and their ability to stay consistent in matches have also done a great push for the club to be ranking currently first on the table this season. I wasn't surprised to see the scoresheet, Napoli got humiliated with scores of 3 nil against Inter Milan last weekend.
The first half of that game didn't show that Napoli would lose the game. They defended and attacked effectively and Inter was not given much chance to enjoy freedom. Napoli even had two goal attempts that were hampered by the goalpost and the Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer. But the second became a disaster for the home team. They struggled to create chance and Victor Osimhen was heavily marked that he couldn't receive passes and was also restricted from making his masterclass runs.

Napoli is in a tight situation currently. They are drifting below last season's performance and it is becoming clear that they might not be able to defend the Seria A title. They are not also sure of moving to the next round of the Champions League. Walter Mazzarri has so much work to do especially in the defence, the attack also needs to be up and doing.
725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Loaning money for gambling sometimes not bad but… on: December 05, 2023, 05:40:15 AM

PS: I’m not telling that everyone should loan and gamble just to follow my step. I’m just sharing that sometimes loan money that use to gamble have good result. FYI, I have money on fiat to cover the loan immediately in case I lose everything. DON’T LOAN MONEY IF YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO PAY IT BEFORE THE DUE DATE.
The beautiful thing about your story or experience was that you balanced it up. Many people take loans to gamble and just like you, they are lucky to win and make money from it. Others have also failed to win and ended up in debt. But your case is quite different because you have the money to repay the loan in case you lose the bet. Some people don't have such backup so they end up frustrated and sometimes depressed.

However, this behaviour of borrowing to fund gambling shouldn't be consistent because it could lead to addiction and debt. Occasionally one can decide to take loans to fund a gambling budget but there should be some restraints. I am also sceptical about spreading this kind of information because gamble newbies might misunderstand it which could affect their finances negatively. These new gamblers might not be able to control this kind of behaviour and end up incurring large debt because of gambling. However, congratulations on your win.
726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: December 05, 2023, 05:11:18 AM
Bukele lashed out at the critics of the country’s Bitcoin strategy, demanding apologies from them. He stated that the responsible thing for naysayers to do would be to “issue retractions, offer apologies, or, at the very least, acknowledge that El Salvador is now yielding a profit.” However, he maintained his position on the future of Bitcoin and the plan of building its country on the back of the cryptocurrency, stating,

“Of course, we have no intention of selling; that has never been our objective. We are fully aware that the price will continue to fluctuate in the future, this doesn’t affect our long-term strategy.
It is common for political opposition to criticize the policy of the current leaders especially when these economic decisions are strange. Making Bitcoin a legal tender was an uncommon economic policy and stacking the coins for El Salvador was just insane to some people. When the price began to drop the opposition had so many reasons to attack Nayid Bukele. They even organised rallies and protests to show displeasure over this policy. Many news outlets came with diverse reports of how investing in Bitcoin will devastate the economy of El Salvador. But I don't blame these forces because they were blinded by ignorance.

I think the President of El Salvador deserves an apology for the attacks he suffered from within and outside of critics. And the most striking quality of this BBitcoin believer is that he has a long-term plan for the investment. He is so committed to Bitcoin investment that he might not sell them anytime soon. I also think he deserves an apology from some members of the forum who saw his decision as needless. Some even suggested that he should have invested in his country's infrastructure rather than buying Bitcoin. But today with the profit the country has made, many facilitates could be built if he wants to sell.
727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Include Or Always Include Gambling In Your New Year's Resolution on: December 04, 2023, 04:22:30 PM
Only 4 weeks before we welcome a new year and new year for many is the best time to promise changes in their behavior, career, and habits, and many gamblers take the New Year as an opportunity to try to change something in their behavior or lifestyle and they do it through New Year resolution.

My question do you include gambling in your new resolution, and what's your New Year's resolution about gambling?

Let's talk about it.
I have stopped making New Year's resolutions because in most cases I don't keep them. I don't need to wait till the end of the year to change a negative lifestyle. The new year is just like every other day for me. This is my personal perception so I am not insinuating that having a New Year resolution is in any way inappropriate.

My gambling behaviour has never had any adverse consequences on my financial or time management. I have not also had any issues with my friends and family due to gambling. I see myself as a moderate and responsible gambler because I use an insignificant part of my income for betting. Therefore, I have never included gambling in my New Year resolution when I engaged because I am pleased with my gambling lifestyle.
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will invest the money to buy the land in Bitcoin. on: December 04, 2023, 04:06:04 PM
I am a government servant, working in regional land office.  At the end of five years of my working life, I have spent part of the salary I received during these five years for family and saved part for future. I have been saving my money in the bank for more than five years for the purpose of saving for the future and purchasing a land. If I were to mention the amount of money I saved in five years, it would be about 11 thousand dollars if converted to US dollars. My plan was to buy a land with this amount of money but whenever looking for land to buy land my idea completely changes because the lands I like will not give me this amount of money. If I can't buy land in a position, I have no desire to buy land in a common place.
The price of Bitcoin is high now which entails that you might not make much profit like someone that bought early this year or last year. It also means that you are taking more risk since we don't know how high the price will go next year. If you can take the risk of buying the coin now, it will be a good investment but you can also intensify your effort in looking for a good house you can buy. Next time you will have to consider buying Bitcoin maybe monthly each time you receive your salaries.

Quote
Since I have like 11 thousand dollars right now, I want to invest this amount in Bitcoin instead of keeping it in the bank. I know about investing in bitcoins and I know that there are risks involved, I am investing in the potential to grow money but I want to invest in bitcoins with the understanding that my money may go down due to market volatility. I decided to withdraw the money from the bank at the beginning of the new year and plan to invest the money in bitcoins. Now that I can't buy land, I will definitely hold this investment for a long time so that I get good returns at the end of the long term and I can also accumulate some more money through employment.

At the time I planned it I felt I should have planned it earlier.
Keeping money in a bank account is a pure waste of time especially in many developing nations that experience diverse economic problems. Some currencies have lost up to 50% of their value in a few years. Investing in Bitcoin serves as a strong hedge against inflation. But I am also happy that you are aware of the risk involved in investing in Bitcoin.
729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You At Any Point In Time Blame Who Taught Or Led You To Gambling? on: December 04, 2023, 10:53:32 AM
I don't blame anyone for being involved in gambling because it all came from my awareness by finding out for myself. After all, I was curious about the posts, and every person who gambles, whether it was introduced by a friend, can't blame that person because the decision is still in your hands to gamble or don't gamble, and blaming other people for introducing you to gambling won't change anything because you are already involved in gambling and the important thing is to control yourself so you don't get too involved in gambling.
When people don't want to take responsibility for their actions, they always blame someone. Matured gamblers are the ones who can endure losses and enjoy gains. This is why I am sceptical about introducing people to anything. I prefer to allow people to make choices so that they will have nobody to blame. As much as nobody coerced you to gamble with your money, you should take full responsibility and not blame anybody.

Recently a relative was chasing her 18yrs son's friend from the house. She was shouting angrily that her son's friend was the person who introduced her son to gambling and now the boy stole his grandma's ATM and withdrew a large amount. This woman shouldn't blame anybody for her son's misbehaviour because her son has reached and even passed the statutory gambling age in my country.  Every adult should be willing to take full responsibility for our actions.
730  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think that visionary leaders make great CEOs? on: December 04, 2023, 08:42:05 AM
We are awed by so-called visionary leaders because may possess unique strengths and charisma. However, I have found that most of them have a weakness in communication, being adaptable, and in team collaboration.  For example, a visionary leader Steve Jobs though he was praise for all the great stuff he did for Apple there where complaints of his intense and demanding nature. This negatively impacted the morale of his employees and lead to high turnover rates. Obviously employees would naturally seek out more collaborative and supportive work environments. My point is visionary leaders do not make great CEO. I believe the success of a company should not solely rely on the charisma and vision of one leader but should be built on a foundation of effective teamwork and inclusive decision-making. Do you support this argument?
When people get the vision of a profitable or beneficial business idea, recruit workers to help them achieve the aim of the business. Before employment, the employer would have to unveil the goals and aspirations of the business and the diverse means to achieve them. It is now the responsibility of the visionary leader to lead and guide these workers to enable them to help him in achieving these goals. Sometimes they might push the workers too hard which might make the workplace terrible, I don't blame them sometimes because predicted goals could intoxicate these visionaries.

Many visionary leaders have proved to be good leaders or business executives, while others might have treated workers inhumanely. Humans have individual differences so for me the actions of these CEOs might be based on their behavior or character. Visionary leaders can make great CEOs if they abide by the labour laws of the nations and treat workers as humans and not machines. Visionary leaders should be allowed to run their businesses because some hired executives might derail from the goals of the company.
731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CASHOUT OR NOT???? on: December 03, 2023, 04:37:05 PM
Though we can't blame the OP if he will push thru his luck, because that's his choice.
In my opinion, it depends on what your gut feel is saying about the outcome.
If you are not very confident about it, you can cash out and you will be happy about it.
But high probability that the OP already knew what his decision will be, just want to hear some confirmation from outside sources.

I would have also blamed OP for not cashing out when he had the opportunity to at least go home with half the win, but like others have said gamblers need to take full responsibility for their actions and inactions. Taking responsibility will also help to reduce regrets and blame. It is very common to see gamblers blame people for wrong decisions which shouldn't be the case. OP made his decision because he could bear the risk but I am sure I would have cashed out immediately.

My friend who is a great risk taker will always tell me that if you want to win big, you have to risk big. And I find these words to be true because every big winner took greater risks than the average or small winners. OP I wish you better luck next time.

You bet it was quite an exciting ride, and yes I have learnt a few lessons from the experience too, although this wasn't the first time I'm encountering such a scenerio but this one was a tough knuckle. Like I said earlier OP if I'm faced with the same situation in the future and my instincts tell me not to cash out, I would follow it, that's one thing about instincts, sometimes they lead you to making her right decisions and sometimes they don't. And yeah next time I believe I'll get it in the bad
A newbie in gambling would have cashed out, So I am not surprised to hear that you have had a similar experience. Did your instincts tell you to cash out? I don't argue with my mind when it comes to cashing out. Immediately I am moved to take a decision I will abide to avoid regrets. But you have learned some lessons.
732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 03, 2023, 03:58:56 PM
The game is not over yet, but I am amazed how Liverpool is again about to make a huge mistake and it was so unexpected because I thought they have found back their strength and are the good old Liverpool finally. Fulham took the lead against them in minute 80' and now they are pressing and pressing but this is again a huge disappointment for all those who were looking forward to a duel between Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool this season. Still some time to go though.
Liverpool team is doing everything possible to at least get a draw in this match. I never expected Fulham to put up such a good performance in this game. Chelsea is also struggling to maintain their lead after playing without a man for a long time. Chelsea have records of losing games at the extra time of most of their games this season I hope they will get these three points because they have worked really hard for it.

Edit: Liverpool has already levelled the game 3-3 and even got another goal within a few minutes, while Chelsea is fighting to hold on to the one-goal difference they currently have. There is so much intrigue and suspense in Stamford Bridge.
733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I learnt from a crackhead about gambling on: December 03, 2023, 03:37:23 PM
No matter how bad the situation is, never think gambling is a source of money. When you're struggle in financial and want to make more money, then there's nothing wrong to quit gambling for a while. Just focus until you achieve a comfort zone, then you can try to back become a gambler.
Quitting gambling for some time because of financial problems is not a bad idea. It might be difficult to avoid gambling but it is beneficial especially if you have discovered that betting is one of the activities that drain your finances. Some people have become so used to gambling that they don't know when to give themselves a break. Taking a break from gambling gives us the privilege of evaluating our gambling life, identifying faults and correcting our shortcomings. But when one sees gambling as a major source of income it could even lead to borrowing because we assume that we are investing instead of having fun.

Quote
It's not about drug addiction or gambling addiction, you shouldn't fall into one of them if you have a choice to avoid that.
No form of addiction is better than another. Food addiction has led to several health problems and even death. The impact of drug addiction on finances and health is also severe, gambling addiction has also caused harm in the lives of many people. So it is better to have total control of any activity you engage in.
734  Economy / Economics / Re: Flash Mob Theft -> closure of brick and mortar stores -it's economic impact? on: December 03, 2023, 02:27:28 PM
Is this happening where you live, in your country?  How much of an effect on the economy do you think it's having?  Is the effect mitigated by online shopping, where business isn't being completely lost, just not done in person.  I have to assume people losing their jobs at physical stores could be taking a tole on the economy as well and will continue to.  Thoughts?

Here's an example - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iY_q0IfIJHY
Seven or eight years ago this was a big problem for businesses and even people in my country. In my area, some cultists will arrange themselves and rush into the streets with dangerous weapons such as guns, matchets, broken bottles, etc. They will loot any shop they enter and in some cases injure some people on the street or selling in the shop. Within a few minutes, they had stolen people's valuables on the street and looted many shops. These criminal activities have reduced in some areas but it is still prevalent in slums, ghettos and other improvised areas of my country.

Many shops that were looted don't have insurance policies so they have to bear the loss. Most of them might not have the financial resources to restock the shop and it might lead to the collapse of the business. When businesses fail many people will become unemployed. It also affects the government because many investors will have to avoid such areas because of the fear of becoming victims of flash mob theft. This will reduce the amount of tax revenue the government would have derived from businesses.

But I am surprised that such criminality happens in the US because I thought that the US has one of the best security systems and that mere face masks would not hinder them from identifying, arresting and punishing these criminals.
735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you sell your bitcoin to blackrock? on: December 03, 2023, 02:08:52 PM
Nobody buys bitcoin to sell it cheaper, so if they offer you $100k, they think it will go higher. If they offer $1m it's again going to go higher according to them.
Will you simply give it away once someone hands you $100k, or decide that it's cheap and they know more than they're willing to share?
Selling my coin will depend on my target for my investment. If any buyer offers to me up to the amount I have budgeted to sell my coin, I will sell it and make a profit. It will also depend on the individual's financial strength. Some people have so much money that they can keep their Bitcoin for a long time because they don't really need the money. Others need to sell to solve some pressing financial issues. Some need to sell their coins to pay debt, buy or build a house, pay education fees, etc. Such people will not hesitate to sell their coins immediately after they find a good selling price. In most cases, sellers don't care about what the buyer wants to do with the product. Is there any other reason for BlackRock investing in Bitcoin apart from making a profit like other investors?
736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Its A Gambling Joke But Reflects Bad Things About Gambling on: December 02, 2023, 08:29:01 PM
The first time I read it I laughed a lot but if you dig deep or think about it you will realize that it reflects many gamblers who are losing a lot and they have to sell things that are important to them and find an alternative.
The gamblers that sell personal belongings to gamble are addicted. Most people go to physical bet shop just because they will buy personal belongings of addicted gamblers. Some of these bettors are loss chasers that can do anything to get funds to satisfy thier uncontrollable urge to gamble. Anyone that engages in such act needs help and should be seek counsel immediately.

How about you do you have a gambling joke of your own or you've encountered that reflects the gambling experience of many, come share it here
We have a gambling joke that also serves as an advice which says " if you you want to avoid hypertension, never calculate all you have lost for a year on gambling". The meaning is that it is better to let the past go because summing up how much you have lost on gambling for a year especially when you were not lucky, could make you sad or even depressed.
737  Economy / Economics / Re: The power of investment choices on: December 02, 2023, 07:38:10 PM
Op diversification of investment is good. It is good to invest on those coins that have potential in the future. And one has to make a good choice to plan. All coins can not come up or rise up at the same time. Bitcoin is leader of all the cryptocurrencies and people are investing in it because of it value and they start their investment in the time when the price is low in the bear market and sell it when the price is rising.
The problem with investing in most of these altcoins is that it's difficult to know a coin with the future potential as you stated. Most coins are just hyped by influencers and the developers will claim that they wealth of experience and will come up with a well-written whitepaper. But in the end, it will end up becoming a scam. But some people are comfortable with the risk of investing money in them. Some will be fortunate to gain while others will lose money.

Diversifying into different projects is a good one but people shouldn't be carried away into fake projects that will make them to lose money.  People really need to study what they are investing on to be sure if if it is worth investing. Instead people will go what they are not sure of that can make them to lose money at the end of the day it is better to just stick yo bitcoin investment which we all know how reliable it is in the market. For me it is very important for bitcoin to always be the first option as an investment for people.
Diversification in the crypto space is okay but after investing in Bitcoin I prefer to diversify my investment to other areas. Real estate, stock, gold, etc are some areas I might consider. There are some food altcoins but I prefer to stick with Bitcoin because it is stable and reliable.
738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: December 02, 2023, 06:52:42 PM
Al Nassr had a couple of chances especially in the first half but was unable to score. Ronaldo missed a couple of chances and he needs a lot of them to score. I think this loss hurts a lot Al Nassr because the difference is big now and 7 points is a lot. I dont see where Al Hilal can drop points because they are on another level.
The result of the game between these two top Saudi League was unpredictable considering that Al Nassr had more ball possession and completed more passes than the host. But the difference between the two sides was shots on target and goals. Al-Hilal had more shots on target that was maximized to get three goals. While Al Nassr had three shots on target that produced no goal.

Al Nassr will have to do more to cover the seven points space and we shouldn't forget that Al-Ahli Saudi is also gunning to remove Al Nassr form the second position. The have closed the gap between them and Al Nassr to four after they whitewashed Abha 6-0 on Thursday. Ronaldo will be disappointed with this result because he desperately want to lift the Saudi Arabia league trophy.
739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 02, 2023, 06:29:34 PM
This Arsenal team is extremely great this season, a side with the most clean-sheet in the EPL this season.  I am impressed with the performance of Tomiyasu in this game his energy and concentration shows hinsi back to his former self, pairing with Gabriel .j, Odegaard and Saka to give an excellent combo that's destroying the Wolves team in the first 45mins, Arsenal leading 2:0. Perhaps we should expect more goals to come in the second half as Gabriel .J is yet to register his name into the score sheet.
On the other side of the premier league Burnley is leading 2:0 against Sheffield united who are one man down due to a red card.
Tomiyasu was very brilliant as Arsenal right back today unfortunately got injured and was replaced by White it was a very entertaining and exciting match Arsenal showing their dominance on the game though their wad a last 10 scare when Wolves mounted some pressure as they seek for an equalizing goal when the score line was at 2-1 Arsenal stood their ground and defended very well.to extend their lead on the table by 4 points, meanwhile in the other match, Burnley got their second win of the season by thrashing Sheffield United 5-0 in a thrilling encounter in which a Sheffield United player was sent off in a two bookable offence.
Arsenal would be happy to get the maximum three points against a team that has records of beating big clubs. Wolves have won Manchester City and Tottenham this season so I was expecting them to at least get a draw in this game. But Arsenal took the opportunities they had in the first half to get those two important goals. Saka and Ødegaard continued their scoring after they scored in the match against Lens in the Champions League. Arsenal have now maintained their lead in the EPL with four points ahead of Manchester City. If the Cityzens fail to win the game against Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow, the Gunners will have less pressure. Let's hope that this season will not be as frustrating as last season.
740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Paradox of Privacy and Decentralization: Banning Mixers on Bitcointalk.org on: December 02, 2023, 05:06:56 PM
The Ideological Conflict:
At its heart, Bitcoin is a decentralized currency. Mixers, which enhance transaction privacy, seem like a natural ally to this cause. Yet, their banning on a platform dedicated to decentralization is contradictory. Does this signify a shift in the community's values, or is it a necessary compromise?
The decision to ban mixers is not the creation of the bitcointalk community. It was a result of pressure from external forces that has the potential or power to negatively affect the forum. Mixers are now erroneously seen as a service that promotes criminal activities and associating with it will make those forces see the forum as a place that promotes criminality. So the best thing to do is disassociate with mixing service. The values of this community have not changed, we still believe in privacy and decentralization.

Quote
Legal and Ethical Considerations
The rationale behind banning mixers often revolves around legal compliance and preventing illicit activities. While these are valid concerns, do they justify stepping away from the principles of privacy and decentralization?
The main reason why governments are shutting down mixers is not because they are used for criminal activities, they want to centralise Bitcoin so that they can kill privacy. But there is a battle you cannot fight. These Law enforcement agencies can seize any website, including this one. They cannot stop us from talking about decentralization but they have the power to control our platforms. If you don't do what they say, then you might not have the platform to spread your beliefs.

If Satoshi Nakamoto were to witness this, what would their reaction be? Would they advocate for absolute adherence to privacy and decentralization, or acknowledge the need for some regulatory measures?
I don't know how he will feel about the current situation but it is glary that things are changing and the community is facing so many attacks. Maybe he might start researching other means to keep Bitcoin decentralized.

The Future of Decentralization and Privacy in Cryptocurrencies:
Looking forward, how do we balance the ideals of privacy and decentralization with the practicalities of regulation and legal compliance? What developments might we anticipate in this domain?
There is no way one can balance regulation and decentralization, that's not possible. Legal compliance is just a loss of privacy. But I am afraid that the attack on Bitcoin will keep increasing. These forces will not rest until they centralise the coin. I predict that the community will start devising other ways to escape centralisation.
