721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: December 01, 2016, 02:47:15 PM
Obviously that is not long term gambling because even if you win that day, what about the previous days or the next ones there is no guarantee you can repeat such a performance in terms of hours and profits.

That why gambling is not for making money but just to have entertainment when we need vocationally and if you are lucky on that day then will win some money and get a free enjoyment. But if one gambling only to make profit surely in the longer run all gamblers will lose money.
Agree with you as I saw my friend he won a big amount one day but after playing again and again he looses all the amount he won along with his own money, if you left the gambling at the same time you won then only you will be in profit otherwise there is no way to win in long term until and unless you have luck with you.
If I am allowed to say it, I would say this that your friend is greedy just like most of us here, the fact that we do not want to stop that is simply a sign of greediness and a way of irresponsible gambling, we can't be successful on that in the long run if we aim profit, good thing if we only bet what we can afford to lose but if not, we might ruin our future because of our failure to control ourselves in gambling.
722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoins have Tax?? on: December 01, 2016, 02:39:53 PM
As far as I know Bitcoin itself doesn't have taxes, it's not regulated that way. But if you trade Bitcoin and exchange it to fiat, especialy if you are doing this through your bank account you should report that to your local tax authorities as a kind of the income and on that you should pay taxes.
There no tax regulation that requires us to report our income in the crypto world, the fact that it's not under the control of the government they do have the right to oblige us to pay taxes on our income online. It's not a legal tender what we are using and we are not known by the government and even our information in the exchange site are completely anonymous.
723  Economy / Economics / Re: You should never trust banks on: December 01, 2016, 06:57:06 AM
I quite don't believe in his claims.

A reputable bank will not close accounts of it's clients unless violating some legal aspects of their financial terms also closing account means only freeze until further investigation. If does happen, then a client can go directly to the higher state of the law to sued a case. But prior to that, there will be exchange arguments from both parties since reputable bank didn't want to give dirt to their names just because of one person even it has a possession of millions amount of money. It''s against the law that a bank will close account "with no other reason".

If OP is really mad then he can give a shameful comments to that bank throughout social medias. Named that bank and spread the word of yours.

Give your reputation in this forum, I can tell it's a subsidiary of Bank of America. I had unpleasant experience with them. Lesson learned, you should always keep most of your assets under direct control, and keep no more than $1000 in banks.
Well, that bank not quite familiar to me as I do not reside in the US nor to a place where such bank have subsidiaries. I believe it's almost the same banking principle they are using as banks has a central bank that monitored them.

With relation to the problem, not in my life I have experience my account has been close, God forbid but my experience as a banker, we only close or freeze accounts when there's an order by the court to do so.

In a day to day operation of the bank as well, we do receive memorandum from AMLC for suspicious person and we double check it with our system and report directly to them in an encrypted report file.
724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: December 01, 2016, 06:31:05 AM
What I learned so far in the season is to always bet against the Brooklyn Nets. Even though they won last night, that was too close to call and was Overtime. But their next game they will continue their losing ways. Bank on that. Wink

Don't under estimate that team because this season is full of surprises. They maybe on their down right now, but I know they can still have some wins for their remaining games and why not look at 76ers? Still don't be that comfortable that these teams will not able to make some come back from their losses, I've learned from this.
Long time gambler like us sees that coming already, we have already the experience and it happens in situation where we do not expect. Therefore, there's a great method in sports betting that smart people uses which is "fading against the public", you can check that in the most popular forum sports betting forum, they are using that statement most of the time.
725  Economy / Economics / Re: possible government regulations? on: December 01, 2016, 02:12:24 AM
I will say that now it is the game of bitcoin and it is going to establish all over the world so in the future the government will feel it much important to adopt it and without it they will not find any way to success. So in the resultant they will start to find ways to adopt bitcoin and for that it is possible that they create their specific banks and their wallets.

And when the time comes that bitcoin is being accepted and used by the banks then for sure it is going to be covered by some government and banking rules or else the government is the one to start the petition for totally boycotting bitcoin because it is going to be a threat to the banking sector for each country that has majority are bitcoin users.
But the big question is, when is that going to happen? Banks are centralized while bitcoin is not. I cannot picture it out in the future, this two can never be consolidated IMO.
726  Economy / Economics / Re: You should never trust banks on: December 01, 2016, 01:52:17 AM
I personally only trust banks to keep something stored, and I have no faith beyond that. I have yet to experience an account freeze or something along those lines, but I do see a lot of the issues being brought forwards and I respect those who end up on the receiving end of a freeze or whatever.

I prefer keeping my own items in my hands, but sometimes it is a necessary evil.
Bank can be trusted since they are regulated by the government and oblige to abide with the existing banking laws and regulation, however if you guys think that you are growing your money putting in bank it's not true due to inflation.

Putting our money in the bank is only good for safekeeping while we are confident it will not be lost when we are not doing illegal activities as it is covered with insurance.
727  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: December 01, 2016, 01:35:16 AM
As per my experience and knowledge, i will invest my money in bitcoins. its very safe and secure as well as very beneficial for a long term investment.

So what's the strategy you are going to implement with your own investment? We all know that bitcoin is secure but it is not assured about the safety because it is an online investment where there are a lot of eyes that are monitoring each transactions that we made. For me, the best strategy is nothing but to hold what you have.
The strategy is very simple as according to him, he will just hold bitcoins as his long term investment. With that kind of investment style, you do not have to exert a lot of effort to be successful as what you need is just to be realistic and put your faith with bitcoin.
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bank??? on: November 30, 2016, 08:28:22 AM
There's probably not going to be anything like that in the future to be quite honest. There are some ATMs set up in some locations tho
\
Coming Soon it will be occurred. The development of bitcoin Very Fast And Good. some companies already accept bitcoin as a prayer One Financial Media service them. This is a prospect in the future.

if this is really happen, then we as bitcoin user, don't have to controlled our bitcoin like before and its not god for us because i think that bank will applying some fee or some tax to us when we want to sending bitcoin which is more high than blockchain fee itself and its not good. with government involve in bitcoin, then it will many regulations that will not give benefit for the user but for government itself.
The only problem I can see is that they will centralized the decentralized thing. And I think it would not be possible looking at any angle of the implementation, bitcoin will remain decentralized and that's the nature of bitcoin we love.

Banks are centralized so we can't trust it, we do not actually have the right confidentiality they promise to us.

In this world, you can't tell who are trusted or not but one thing I am certain our information is encrypted and safe in bitcoin.
729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How long do you play per day gambling like Dice ? on: November 30, 2016, 02:45:20 AM
When I do gamble I start playing same time two three games and dice is one of them. I put it on auto vet mode and same thing I do with slots games and let them work for me while I navigate for sports betting. That is area what is time consuming and take large portion of my time. Specially I don't have fix time for dice only on daily basis.
Well, maybe I am being a bit off topic but I would like to tell my story : Once I was doing the same, I came back from my work late and hence was badly tired. Someone sent me a payment (well for some task I did for him ) and I just put that on autobet and slept.

Morning when I woke up I see 0 balance and it was normal, but below on my screen I saw 11 reds that made me loose, the max bet I lost was 0.17 while I deposited just 0.04 around, man I cannot tell you how upset I was, why I did not wake some hours so I could stop and cashout.
That's normal also to think of undoing the past to take the opportunity, however that's gambling and we know their only two outcome which are win or lose. Your luck does not stay with you longer as you want.

Now, let's go to other scenario, what if when you wake up you saw in your balance a BTC1 profit, would you still past situation when you were upset?
730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: November 30, 2016, 02:30:34 AM
If you're just playing for fun, then I do agree that you can play these games for some time with free money. But if you have intention of earning money from free money then it is not a smart way because time is nothing but money and time your wasting to get free money from faucet is a lot and with that time you can earn more if you use that time properly.
I think a very little number of poeple may be playng gambling for fun, as I do not thing that there is fun in gamblng without targeting making profits from it, but it does not meant that if you are playing gambling for making money then it is not a smart way of playing gambling, as to if you have some good strtegy of playing gambling its mean that you are playing gambling in a smart way.
i guess the word of "fun" here refering to how you react on your lost bets
not to didn't stake a single penny on certain game
make profit indeed the main purpose of gambling
but you shouldn't forget about the fun part in gambling too , when you have to accept you lost just consider your losing money as your fun way to spend money , that's the smartest reaction that people should do.
Defeat is hard to accept but if you are well prepared enough and understood your chances you can easily let go of it. There's only one way to enjoy in gambling which is have fun regardless of the outcome. I heard some gamblers who are successful and they called themselves as professional, but the thing is, are they really happy?

My guess is not, for the reason that they are not using their emotion but mainly their brain to improve their skills and utilize it in their favor.
731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 30, 2016, 02:03:44 AM
Charlotte Hornets will have an easy win today, good odds of 1.67
Also Lakers will win, odds are of 2.78

I don't agree with any of your picks. Charlotte is good but Detroit is also playing good. Andre Drummond is dominant and Tobias Harris takes more responsibility when Reggie Jackson is still unavailable. Don't underestimate Pistons basketball.
Lakers might have a chance but Anthony Davis is playing like Shaq in 2000 so I don't think nobody in Lakers can stop him.

I don't even think that Charlotte will be able to defeat Detroit or if they will conquer against Detroit then that is not going to be an easy win.

Count me in also with Lakers, I bet with them and for sure this is going to be another great play for the team.
Looks like charlotte is in trouble now, pistons is leading with double digits. I thought the line was easy though. Never think they'll be dominated at their own home. Charlotte seems very inconsistent so far, one time you see them dominating games and the next time you saw it they are throwing game, terrible.
732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is definition gambling in your mind? on: November 29, 2016, 05:10:44 AM
I would say that gambling is an addiction, such a bad habit that when gets involved in our daily life, could ruin our life completely.
It is a way of making extra money by betting on something which we think might be able to provide us some extra money with their win.

Everything can be an addiction and it depends to the person on how he is dealing with it. But it seems that many people are becoming addicted to gambling the way it is not used to be. And I don't think that gambling is a way of making extra money instead it is a way to make your extra money lose to the house edge.
Well, as per my observation it's easier to be addicted in gambling than in drugs or any vices in life. Gambling is very tempting as it can give us great reward if we win and that's why you can see more people are into gambling trying to test their luck and hoping that it will give them fortune.

The problem is when they lose, they cannot stop because they have lose so much already chasing the unreachable dream and that results to addiction.

These people will only stop when they lose everything, but the damage has already been done.
733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Rich from Gambling? on: November 29, 2016, 05:00:07 AM
My purpose of gambling is not for the rich, because I'm sure gambling is not going to make me rich. gambling only I make for happy and fill an empty time.
You got it right, if everyone knew that by gambling they can't get rich then the folks be able to save a lot of money lol. instead of trying to get rich off gambling, maybe investing could make one rich.

Its hard for us to make gambling as the way to become rich because if you aim for that then you must have a bigger bankroll.

Because gambling is a game of luck so if you win with bigger bets its doesn't mean that it will lasts a long time.

That's better if we will just gamble for the fun that we can get to ease the boredom that we are experiencing.
You have a point there, it's hard to win in gambling because it's their business and they are aiming for profit. Base on the past results of the overall operation of gambling industry, we can say that they are doing great in terms of profit.

So that figures will already tell a lot of our chances to become rich. They have more chance to become rich than us.
734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do any people gamble under the age of 18? on: November 29, 2016, 03:30:09 AM
I don't see any problems coming to anyone who would gamble under the age of 18 because if they have sources like bitcoins, no one would ask for KYC information due to which even minors can gamble. In other types of sites where KYC is needed, I don't think they would let underaged to gamble.
it does not matter if there are children under 18 years old to gamble to gamble, but I guess it really will affect his future, even be very harmful if they had been craving to gamble when they were under 18 years old. I had indeed seen some children who play gambling, but I do not have the right to forbid them to gamble, but I think there is a better way to generate a bitcoin, maybe they could look for bitcoin with other alternatives that could make nominally become more productive, such as trading or investment.
There's no specific age for a person to be eligible to gamble but we can recommend on the range, they should not be less than 18 or 21 I guess. What's important is just to be matured enough to understand what is the basic principle in gambling and when a certain gambler understands the hardest part which is losing, then maybe we can consider him as matured enough to start gambling.

735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your aim in gambling???? on: November 29, 2016, 02:24:04 AM
I enjoy gambling because I enjoy math.  So, my goal when I am gambling is to use my math skills to play as long as I can without going broke....My ultimate aim is to be skillful enough to make a living off my gambling so that I wouldn't have to do anything else in life accept play games for money....I learned young that math was the number one most important skill to master to achieve this type of goal so I made sure I learned me some math!
Then I suppose you are playing poker or sports betting because only in those two casino games you have the chance to use math to improve your odds of winning against the house or other players.
One thing I am sure of, if you are good in math that will not ensure you will succeed in skilled base games. I have been betting in sports in several years already and I can fairly say that I am good in math due to my profession as an accountant but that does not give me an advantage.

There's a lot of factors to be considered, if you believe that sports are sometimes rigged then you have to figure out how to spot the value, that one does not involve math, you can't use math on rigged games.
736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 29, 2016, 02:06:09 AM
Lakers were really unexpected this year. I think that they can go to playoffs even if the West coast has big teams because they rotate a lot and that looks actually really good. The way they play is good and the fans love this way! I hope they will gi to playoffs, they deserve it. Cool

I bet it that they can be able to get into the semi's or even to the finals I wish to watch them again playing for the finals.

And if that happens then I will bet as high as I can because I am a fan of Clarkson and I love to see him playing for each team.

I have trust with this team.
You should be given a great odds for betting them to reach that level, it will not likely to happen base on the statistics but who knows this young team can upset great teams in the league. If they were able to surprise us this season, they'll be more motivated in the coming playoffs if given a chance to enter.

I am just enjoying what I am seeing with the way they play now and I don't expect too much for them.
