My wallet does not synchronize from yesterday. Any ideas?  Several times I did restart, but it did not help. Save wallet.dat and redownload the chain. It will solve it. |

Can you tell me more detail on POS?
How long does it take to stake? I see you said on your thread about five minutes, but I had my wallet open for 8 hours yesterday and none of them went into stake.
How can I calculate how much I will earn on staked coins?
Anything else you can add to how much stake per day etc?
When do the coins come out of stake?
I do not see any info on your thread about it...

Hey all.
Some time has gone by. This time has been put into coding of new features and testing the chain. At the moment, 4 developers are at work and in constant contact with me. I've abandoned the idea of a manual distribution with the help of a forum escrow, since I managed to negotiate with an exchange to deliver the same original distribution plan.
Meaning, the ICO will be offered by an well known exchange, yet the same parameters apply. It will have different levels and different prices - the box system that I referred before.
We are currently finishing up some ideas into the code and testing the stability of the chain. Marketing developments were also initiated this week. I trust to deliver more news some time very soon. Namely, what kind of new features, if they are 100% successful in testing environment.

Translations are needed
Oh so I have a plethora of people wanting me to pay them to translate in my inbox. I never do though because I fear I'd just be paying someone to use google translator. $5 worth of Swing are enough for a translation. Should be stated publicly. Vast post history featuring the translated language must be mandatory. |

ShapeTwist has reached out to me with some great ideas for marketing Swing. Will keep you guys updated as progress is made. Again, if anyone wants to get involved with progressing Swing all you have to do is join IRC/Slack or PM me! Let's please make it open for whoever wants to help. There is much work that can be done and whether you are a designer or a coder or a filmmaker or a simple staking user, you might be able to help. Translations are needed, for example, a small bot to IRC, reddit, contribution to the website, etc, etc, etc. Possibilities are endless. I reached out to the dev, but I'm hoping more people do. Come forward and be part of it. We will take Swing where it belongs. |

Let me introduce myself then. I'm shapetwist, I twist my shape along the timeline. Been involved with bitcoin since the early beginning, which led me to disappear for a while and enjoy good vacations. Came back to the early alts, and actively traded for profit. Managed to get a window of selling everything and went away again, to a shady and mostly unknown part of the world. When I came back again, alts were everywhere. Picked up a few and started to become active in the community. One alt in particular, went nuts with my presence and marketing strategy. Over x100. Since then I left a few more times upon collecting credits of my work, and here I am again.
Things have changed though, you can't just join a coin and anonymously make it go further. That's why I make this post. There have been so many scams in this forum that almost made me quit. So many lobbys, so many coins with the same shady teams behind. Yet, once in a while, there's a good coin to look upon. I was familiar with GE, and the new update into Swing took a lot of my attention. It's such a clever blockchain that I'm embarrassed for its lack of attention by the general public.
However, that lack of attention might mean a very good thing. Kids wanting to flip a quick buck are out. Whales are out. The market is sincere, and little sells take place, since the rewarding system is so great. It's up to us stakers to explain why is it worth it though.
Hence I volunteer myself, in spite of having started a new project in the meantime, to bring some excitement to SWING. I talked a bit with murderouskirk, our dev, and just bought us a new Block Explorer, hosted by Chainz. More updates should come soon, a new website and a small club of holders, and possibly a few other news.
This is not a takeover of any kind. I am here to help bring SWING forward, but always in touch with the dev. We have talked about it and agreed something should be done. I will give a piece of my time and effort to the project.
Make sure you come back to learn about the latest developments. We might have quite a lot cooking.

yeah a web staking wallet would be pretty handy for people especially if you can unlock the wallet then close the browser and it still stakes... that would be pretty cool
Not impossible but extremely difficult as for now. Your best bet is an Android wallet that stakes even when it's closed. That's a tad easier. A web wallet is very important though, staking or not. Even without stake, you can leave your funds safe at home and control your market funds from anywhere. Anyways, there are probably way more advances in the works than you are aware of. Swing is starting. |

My point is just that if we want to improve and add REAL value to Swing in whatever manner we think is appropriate, we need to do it realistically. Outline what we want and figure out how to get it as a community. If we can do that and keep doing that Swing will grow very strong. Operating in this manner adds value not because the dev made a promise, but because the community/coin is capable of evolving and improving over time with or without the dev.. and what will it do next??
This is what I'm talking about. Thanks for addressing my concerns! I hope there is enough force within the community to make things happen. I'm glad you didn't take it as a dev-based issue, because it's not. It's obvious that investors want the best for Swing, but they need to put something more than their btc in it if we want to go forward. Let's create a community and figure out where to go next. It may take a little while for us to get there, but I think starting with the basics listed above is a great way to make progress. The one that sticks out to me is the BE/Rich list. I think a higher quality one would be great too. I've always been a fan of Chainz. So here's what we need to figure out. This is something I can provide, and I welcome any help from the community. Webwallets should figure too. Not that hard. Web wallet would be neat, especially if they can stake. Alright I'll try to figure out how much a chainz wallet costs. It would be a pretty neat advance on a web staking wallet. Anyway, Android staking is possible. I'll try to get a quote. |
