7201  Other / Serious discussion / Re: I can't trade the channels. on: January 26, 2019, 11:07:49 AM
yes the term "channel" is what lies between potential support and resistance, the only addition to it is that both lines (S and R) must be parallel.  what i meant by there is no such thing as channel was referring to some traders who try to make an imaginary channel based on numbers. for example , saying price channel for 1HR chart is 50$ , so they draw channel lines that are not related to any sort of S and R and keep chasing price.

also the best trades you make is when price breaks out of the channel to either direction, it's most of the time followed by a large move and great R:R ratio.
7202  Economy / Reputation / Re: Legendary account seller on: January 26, 2019, 02:27:18 AM
I do not quite understand how I would even have a beforehand idea of what the newbie's intention was?! There's a 50:50 chance that the user will scam. Once the account is handed over to the buyer, I completely have no control of its activity.

well even known scammers have a 50:50 chance of scamming the next person, so why do we bother point out scammers?  why do you think people here discourage account sales? it's by default that when someone wants to buy an established account then their intention is to scam, there are minor exceptions but this does not justify selling accounts and therefore risking other members money.

you sold an account and that's about it, i do not  "yet" tag people for selling accounts, but those who do , should not give you any exception, the reason why they tag account sellers still exist in your case regardless of the cause, and if they won't tag you, then perhaps they should give everybody else a "second chance".

the funny part is this, if the buyer is a scammer, then it's your fault for risking other member's money and  if he is a saint then you risked his money knowing that his account will be painted in red by DT members and become useless and not worth the money he paid for it . apparently only that 0.05 btc of yours matters.

When you lend, you should be aware of risks from defaults. I know for certain that I have an account from early 2017 that I obtained via default, and I'm still holding onto it in hopes of eventual repayment (and because I don't want to sell it)

exactly, if you are not willing to take a loss once in a while, then do not get involved in such business, and once you decide to take an account as a collateral , don't sell it and risk everybody else's money just to save yourself.
7203  Other / Serious discussion / Re: I can't trade the channels. on: January 26, 2019, 02:00:20 AM
there is really nothing as channel in trading.

you need to learn to use support and resistance line, anything else is not to be taken very seriosuly and should be only used if support and resistance are checked.

never really traded GBP on crypto pairs, only trade it on forex, and i could not find the chart on tradingview, but found this on coin-desk, so i drew out the main S/R lines here

this chart is 3 months for data

this is 1 day of data

you always want to buy when price is going down approaching one of those lines, and vise versa.

these are some very usuaful links.

with only support and resistance and some candlesticks you can be a successful trader. just focus on these basics.
7204  Other / Serious discussion / Re: A Bullying experiment on: January 26, 2019, 01:34:20 AM
people react more to things that are directly related to them.

this is also the bill you have to pay when you live in a concrete jungle where everybody mind's their own business.

where I live, nobody can perform such actions, everybody would have stood up for that kid, elder people with slap those kids and those kids would not date to say a thing, when by the time they get home, their parents would have known about it, and they will get a good beating for what they did  Grin but we have some bills to pay too, privacy isn't at it's best. everybody knows who you were, or at least where you live. i guess there is no perfect world.

also i am wondering, wtf is wrong with those 5% who did not complain about the crushed burger ?
7205  Other / Serious discussion / Re: What is your honest opinion about the way the phrase "pump and dump" is used... on: January 26, 2019, 01:25:35 AM

these groups "pump" their own portfolio and "dump" other's portfolios. this is all about it.

without the noobs and the greedy, you can't pump and dump a coin, you need to buy it before the noobs, when they buy it, you dump it. this is how these groups operate, only the admins and a few guys make quick dirty money, while the rest end up in deep loss.
7206  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Building a small Greyhat group, Much profit, Free mentorship and methods on: January 26, 2019, 12:43:39 AM
there is nothing as greyhat, it is only a term people use to justify to themselves the wrong doings so they can sleep at night.  everything that is not whitehat is blackhat and probably is risky and ILLEGAL.

ok your kernel log looks very similar to this > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4414858.0 , also this guy was having the same problem you have.

it  turns out t be something with the electricity wiring and/or auto fans.

just read through the thread, and keep us updated here too.
7208  Economy / Reputation / Re: Legendary account seller on: January 26, 2019, 12:07:50 AM

dude needs his money, he can't wait for "indefinite period of time", nobody can. he waited for 3 days and then started to sell the account.

your argument is invalid, that lendee could have came straight and informed the lender that he was never going to pay the loan, the lendee could have passed away, there are tons of things that could have happened and the lender would have no way out but to sell the account , that's why it's called a "collateral" - something you pre-plan to sell to repay yourself.
7209  Economy / Reputation / Re: Newbie 2tf Begging for Merit Via PM on: January 25, 2019, 11:48:33 PM
well you don't get that, if i want to merit people for tagging lauda is a choice of mine, i can do that without making it public as literally saying it.

and 2 weeks ago you were sr. member, just checked your merit history, tho this is irellevant, anything over newbie or jr member will get more visibility

it's different, you were encoring people to troll, so even those who were not planning to, might troll just for merit, it's a whole different story. also many things are simply wrong when done in public anyway. Grin

ok does not really matter, 2 weeks or 3 weeks, you get the point.

Image loading...

I got 150 merit in about a when i was a full member.
i got 100 merits in about a month too when i was just a member.
( these numbers are rough, got no time to dig in exact numbers)

in fact looking the graph, the high i go in rank, the less merit i get, so it seems like things work the exact opposite of how you describe them , or my posts are turning into pure shit  Grin.

but bottom line, getting merit is not that hard really, so there is no excuse to beg for merit.
7210  Other / Meta / Re: Negative trust for bad posting. on: January 25, 2019, 11:39:16 PM

there are only a few DT members, not much resources to be used here, when we have a clear rule that says for example

(DT users you are not allowed to tag someone for anything that is not related to trade and scam)

then when and if someone get's tagged for using the word lemon, that DT member will be in deep shit, but now, we have no rules, so everyone can tag everyone for every reason on planet earth, and when they try to appeal, what rules/law will the community use to judge ? it's like going to the court whereby the judge does not have any law or rules to use and his judgment might very well depend on what was his breakfast.
7211  Economy / Reputation / Re: Newbie 2tf Begging for Merit Via PM on: January 25, 2019, 11:07:40 PM
Well, you're a sr. member. You have more power, people give you more authority. Indeed that's true, as example my thread giiving merit to good posts was deleted because i added 2 jokes, troll accepted and trolling lauda is accepted.

dude i became Sr.Member like last week or so, last month i was not even a full member, only a handful of people here know me, nobody gives a shit about me, but my posts are TOP QUALITY and by default have to get merit, and so they do !.

as for your post, if i was a mod , i would have deleted it , why would you bribe people with merit to troll someone you dislike? i had a similar thread like yours, it's still there, going strong , because i asked for quality posts only. bro, really you complain about merit yet you will give merit to people for trolling lauda? this forum is much bigger than lauda or anybody else, make good use of it, don't stress yourself over a few members you dislike.  good luck

op sorry for going off-topic. if this bothers you i'll delete it.

Thanks
7212  Economy / Reputation / Re: Legendary account seller on: January 25, 2019, 10:45:09 PM

1. Please note that I am not an account seller, nor do I encourage this act. Also, before the December of 2018, I've not been that active on the forum and I was not aware that accounts as collaterals have taken this serious a turn as my last lending service was back in 2015-16.

let's use some simple logic, when you accepted the account as a collateral, you knew there were only 2 options ahead.

1- Loan is repaid, end of story.
2- User Default on Loan.

how were you planing to handle no 2 exactly? i am not aware of any other thing that can be done except for selling the account.

i'l give you the benefit of the doubt and say you gambled, you thought chances were the guy was going to pay back the loan but , things went south , you need your money back, you sold the account, so that you do not lose money.

but what about other people's money that you potentially put at risk? you sold a Hero ranked account to a newbie, what exactly did you think the newbie was planning to do with that account? post in the Ivory Tower board?
7213  Economy / Reputation / Re: My philosophy to entrust and ~distrust members on: January 25, 2019, 10:15:07 PM
it's true that a few DTs over use the power at their disposal, there is a huge number of feedback that are worthless to say the least, those ratings make the system less accurate. but for the most part of it, the forum is differently much better with DT than without it. it will take sometime for everyone to start using custom list so that ratings become more accurate based on everybody's own view.
7214  Other / Meta / Re: I need information on data on: January 25, 2019, 08:34:28 PM
I am willing to bet the horse that theymos won't be willing to give out such information.
7215  Other / Meta / Re: Do you think we need a guideline for DT members from theymos? on: January 25, 2019, 08:26:02 PM
The private board would be nice but very difficult to maintain since the DT list is going to be dynamic.

DT discussion should always be in public for 2 simple reasons.

1- it's something that affects every member, therefore everyone has the right to share what they think about it.
2- to avoid any conspiracy theory associated with DT discussions.

even now that we have everything in public, many people still think that there is a sort of "gang" that controls the default trust system, so i'd imagine things will get worse should discussions on DT matter be 100% private.

i suggest we keep everything public, DT members however can seek opinions / suggestions via PM when needed.

side-ways - Bull market - Bear market -

on: January 25, 2019, 08:03:56 PM

7219  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer T9 hash board temp problem on: January 25, 2019, 07:21:49 PM
1. Antminer t9 = Miner Status : 12.7 th/s
                         Slushpool     : 10.7 th/s

2. Anminer t9 = Miner Status : 12.9 th/s
                         Slushpool     : 11.2 th/s

Is it normal to have less th/s on slushpool?

slush pool has 3 different hashrates based on different periods.

as mentioned above, you want to look on the daily figure, the other 2 are meaningless to say the least.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

it is very normal to have slightly different numbers from what your miner shows and what the pool shows. but yours is quite a lot

12.7 - 10.7  = 15% of lost hashrate ( provided this is what the daily show)

people have different numbers that they call "okay" some say it's 5% some say 2% . to me anything above 2-3% rings the alarm.

here are the possible reasons of why would you get "lower" hashrate reported by the pool than reported on your local status.

1- stale/bad shares caused by over-clocking your miner

this seems like the most possible scenario , 12.7th for a T9 means you are overclocking to an extend that it's going to fast not caring about the accuracy of the shares ( not really this , but this is the simplest way to put it).

2- your internet connection is bad, latency is high, many shares do not get submitted.

the hashrate on the pool is calcuated based on the shares your miner submit to it, if it does 1 million shares but submit 100 shares only then the pool will calc the speed based on the 100 shares.

3- you are using a server the is far from your location, pick the nearest server to your location.

-----------------------------------------

i still think no.1 is your problem, you are probably getting a lot of bad shares, Hardware errors.

solution to this would be > reduce the over clocking.

also and most importantly. whatever numbers you are referring to must be on a long enough period, do not look at the current hashrate on your miner, look at the average in say 24 hours, then look at the 1 day hashrate on slush pool, this is what you need to compare.
7220  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How To Overclock Your S9/T9+,T9,R4 To 18TH/s Free. on: January 25, 2019, 07:07:21 PM
I dunno, I still have an S9 running on 850 mhz with two apw3+ psus from before LPM firmware came out. You just have to adjust bmminer to force 9.4V to stay stable, and keep your environment cool I guess. It's definitely not that power efficient though so I would only recommend it for testing or if your power is nearly free.

what temps and fans is it running at?
