Nadal's match is live right now and he looks in control of the match and should win from here after winning the first set 3-6 and currently leading the second set 0-2. We did see a few more upsets today with Nishikori losing after winning the first set against Hurkacz and Medvedev losing in straight sets to Krajinovic who has actually been in some good form of late so I wouldn't really call it an upset but he is unseeded at this tournament and he did beat the number 14th seed. Cilic also lost his match against Shapovalov but again I wouldn't call this an upset either.

The match is like 3:00 am local time here so I wasn't able to watch the game. As expected, Nadal win and Roger as well and he will be facing, for me, a dangerous foe in Edmund. As for Nishikori his playing inconsistent so I'm not surprised at all with the lost to Hurkacz as he is playing good so far. Shapovalov is ranked 24 against a 10th seed Cilic so I we could call that an upset as well. In the womens side, Bencic giant killing spree continues as he ousted the number 1 player, Osaka. She will be facing Karolína Plíšková in quarter finals and Venus Williams against Kerber in the other bracket.
7202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: massive feb visitor collapse in Bitcointalk and Coinmarketcap founding websites on: March 12, 2019, 03:26:07 PM
We might as well include this indicator, sentiment analyst predicts Bitcoin price using Bitcointalk forum posts  Grin. So there's a lot of indicators to measure the success of failure of Bitcoin, that is if you believed such measurements are real gauge. But we have to understand that there are no single indicators right now, others are saying that trading volumes is good meter but it has flawed as well. So for me, this works in cycle, if Bitcoin price peaks, then obviously a lot of investors/speculators are going to visit coinmarketcap and even this community.

Ok so we are down to the round of 32 and although there's a lot of surprises so far. There are also some familiar names still left and fighting. Interesting match to see:

Marin Čilić vs Shapovalov and then we have Federer vs Wawrinka and then Nadal vs S Schwartzman.
7204  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 2 more exchanges down on: March 12, 2019, 01:49:38 PM
Looks like criminals are evolving and using crypto to hide most of their illegal acts.
They did evolved already even in the past few years.

The question is why did the Australian government let that exchange operate without proper inspection or review of that company or even know that the CEO or any executives have a background of being a criminal.

I guess the Australian government didn't know in the first place who are this people operating from behind. I try to look at the person pointed out by @kenzawak and it seems the website is already down. (https://samkaragiozis.com/). I also try to check AUSTRAC, (http://www.austrac.gov.au/about-us/austrac) which is Australian main agency, having the full responsibility for anti-money laundering and perhaps they did a good job nailing those crypto exchanges being used as front for illegal activities.
7205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Analysis – BTC Price Is All Set To Hit $4000 on: March 12, 2019, 01:01:16 PM

Bitcoin has knocked out  the weekend trading slightly up but has still been unable to move above $4,000. Bitcoin has been able to move consistently for several days. Few analysts assume the price might fail to raise above $4,000, which will likely lead to sustain future losses.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading down by 0.06% at its current price of $3,942. Since the beginning of the week, BTC has been able to hold steady above $3,900.

On march 9, 2019, BTC fell sharply to lows of $3,880 before quickly surging to its current price levels. This price action may signal that the crypto has established the upper-$3,800 as a level of relative support.

Although, Bitcoin has been steadily climbing over the past several days, analysts still expect the cryptocurrency to suffer greater selling pressure in the future.

Bitcoin has been stable for a week with a price range of 3.8 to 3.9 after that bull trap last month. Prices are playing up and down for a week now and yet you think Bitcoin would just end at $4k without valid support on why would it happen?

We may see this price for a month I guess if there is no bigger news have to come up and make the price move according to FUD or hype.

I wouldn't say the last month's rise is a bull trap, perhaps there was really no momentum to push and broke the $4200 price resistance so obviously,  investors didn't wait that long and just started to sell some and then followed by some panic traders causing the price to go $38++ at the lowest. And then the cycle repeats again this past 2 weeks, attempting to break that psychological barrier of $4000. It can be broken but I don't think we will have momentum because there's no news whatsoever so make another push so for me the cycle will repeat over and over again unless there are positive news.
7206  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin tries to do the impossible on: March 12, 2019, 12:47:24 PM
Yes, everything is temporary and the question is consistent or not, but after a few weeks have passed there is still no consistent increase which means ETF approval will indeed not push the price of the bitcoin to be bullish. Nothing is impossible, the potential to recover will still occur

We still don't know about that bolded statement. We haven't seen any ETF approval so we can't definitely say what's the impact on the price in the future.

But as far as I'm concern, those ETF's will really push the price because more investors will get into the market. The only question is how long will the price go assuming that ETF's as going to be approved in the future.

So let's say the ETF is really approved, crypto. enthusiast are expecting a huge jum on the price since institutional money will flow in the ecosystem. And I even see reports that Bitcoin could go and increased as high as 500% here: (https://totalcrypto.io/bitcoin-etf-analysis/). But this is just an analysis that we're not sure if it's going to happened so everything is still up in the air and we really can say for certain if it will really have a huge positive impact on the market.

Bitcoin’s painful 2018 crash continues, with the original cryptocurrency touching the lowest in more than a month on Monday.

Falling as much as 5.2 percent since the weekend, the largest digital asset in the space dragged the Bloomberg Galaxy Crypto Index to its worst decline in more than two weeks. Ether and Bitcoin Cash both fell more than 10 percent. It’s been a disappointing start to the year for crypto investors, who hoped that the pain of the downturn was behind them. More than $400 billion in market value was wiped out in the past 12 months as widespread adoption failed to materialize, according to data from CoinMarketCap.com. The total market capitalization is now about $113 billion.

Meanwhile, the economics of the industry has come under pressure, with so-called miners finding the average cost of producing Bitcoin was more than its value. More work is being done to identify money laundering using the asset class.

The technical outlook doesn’t bode well for the bulls. Based on the GTI VERA Convergence Divergence Technical Indicator, the largest cryptocurrency just entered a new selling trend today for the first time since mid-November. The last time a sell signal was sent Bitcoin tumbled about 50 percent from $6,280 a coin to $3,156 over a nearly two-week span.

Try to put a spin, but still it's plagiarism.

Care to share what's the purpose of your blockchain project? To store PDF files for what? For sharing or safe keeping? Don't get me wrong, we encourage people to really take advantage of this technology, but we have file sharing websites around which fits your purposed, IMHO.
7209  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin be worthless? on: March 12, 2019, 06:43:20 AM
It can only be worthless if people stops supporting it, simply as that. What I mean is that if people stop buying or trading bitcoin, that's the only time that bitcoin will be gone for good. And even if government around the world will ban bitcoin or the rest of cryptos, I think it will still thrive, maybe underground or maybe in some form of P2P. Currently though, as bitcoin has value and even been seen as store of value and hedge against economic turmoil, there absolutely no way it will be have no value.

7210  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-03-10]Android Devices Now Support Full Bitcoin Node Running on: March 12, 2019, 05:44:13 AM
There are lot of questions here and for me it has more disadvantage though. Even if you have one of the high-end android phone right now, I think our phone is design to be like that , to be used to call and text someone and then some, but pushing it to run a full-node is a bad practice. Heck, our country still has one of the slowest around so I don't think its is a viable options, at least in my end.
7211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 12, 2019, 05:32:08 AM
I'll just quote myself here.  Grin.

Did I jinxed all those top seeded players? LOL. As I have mentioned, perhaps the reason why they are falling one by one is because of the weather conditions as I have mentioned a few days ago. I forgot a similar tournaments late last year wherein players are question the humidity and heat and even some of the greats succumb to this kind of conditions so maybe this is the second why we've seen so many upsets up to this point.

Looks like Guneswaran pulled one of his biggest upset this year 7-6, 6-4, in almost one and one half hours. He could land in the top 80 at least because of this win. It's interesting to note that Guneswaran mentioned about the windy conditions. We might see some upset if players are not accustomed to this kind of conditions. Still a long way to go to, its round of 128 so let's see if other rated player will faltered along the way.

Paire v Guneswaran going on right now

Indian is up by 1 set and is looking strong in second set too . If he manages to pull this off , it will be one of the best victory in his career .

7213  Economy / Speculation / Re: ??? DECISION TIME FOR BITCOIN?!?! 4k or 3.5k?!?! ??? on: March 08, 2019, 03:24:21 PM
Its hard to know where the market is heading but I'm confident that the bottom was already hit. The recent dump is just because of the failed attempt to break the resistance and its normal. The dump price will continue not unless we already surpass the resistance on level $4300. Let's make a good prediction, the market will go high!  Smiley

Unless we break 4150 I see no reason to be bearish. until then I am bearish

LOL. We have been bearish for a long time, and breaking $4150 doesn't mean we can go uptrend as well. And as far as I know we did broke that barrier last Feb 24, but the growth wasn't sustainable so I don't think we can say that we need to break this certain resistance to go to the next phase. It doesn't work right now as investors or speculators will just jump on opportunity to book profits.
7214  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Exhanges - South Korea on: March 08, 2019, 03:13:17 PM
Ok here's the thing, wash trading has been practice many years ago and up to this day, I believed that there a even more wash trading because of the worsening market conditions. If everyone is really wanted to see a comprehensive report as to who's who in this fraudulent business, here it the link: (https://www.blockchaintransparency.org/december-2018-rankings), and the latest reports. Although this is a a good thing specially coming from South Korea, because we all know that they're in the top 5 of most active crypto traders around the world so it makes sense for them to really tighten the grip on their local exchanges. So that it won't give a negative connotations that their government is absolutely allowing this kind of frauds.
7215  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Jump in with trend and get out with the trend! on: March 08, 2019, 03:02:49 PM
I am not focused on trends but I only focus on news in the media about the activities of the popes who are ready to manipulate the price of assets at the market at any time. the whale's power is able to manipulate the market well,

LOL, I thought you're referring to the Pope in Rome,  Grin. This market is based on pure speculation so obviously, any news around will really influence the price and then manipulators or speculators will take advantage of it. We have seen countless past media news that really took a toll on the market so I'm sure everyone is already aware of that. For me, I don't want to complicated things on my end, so my friendly advise if you just jumped when the market is hot and trending specially the alts market if you wanted to make a money specially if you're a day trading and exit on time and book your profits and then rinse and repeat.
7216  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Master Warlords - a Bitcoin Skill Based War Game on: March 08, 2019, 02:36:46 PM
i am willing to sell the whole game (full scripts (server and client side made in c# and Unity) + 3d objects + all the media related to the game + plus the domain www.masterwarlords.com
Anyone interested please reply with a price quote.

Quite surprised to see you willing to sell this game. I thought we gave you enough input to somewhat improved it. Why don't you work on it's marketing first before letting it go? And since you haven't established the game itself so it's going to be very difficult to make a sales pitch, just saying. Just follow @Vod's advise, at this point this is the most viable solution.
7217  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Chinese man jailed for 3.5 years after stealing electricity to mine bitcoin on: March 08, 2019, 02:26:28 PM
I thought that electricity is much cheaper in this country as they have lot of power plant specially nuclear powerplant https://www.euronuclear.org/info/encyclopedia/n/nuclear-power-plant-world-wide.htm. therefore there is no need to be against the law but maybe the man is just trying to earn huge thru mining that is why he do that but still stealing is a crime and punishable by law so hopefully Chinese people will refrain from doing it.

The keyword is stealing, that's why the man is punished by the Chinese government.
snip-
Well, maybe really used to steal electricity that we call "jumpering" in our country. This guy stole electricity but wasn't contented. To earn from the resources he stole, He used it to mine. What the heck is that?

Using electricity and it will be billed to others is a crime. A big crime. I am more concerned about the people he stole the line. I wonder how did they react when the bill comes at their door and had big bills.

You can't really underestimate people's stupidity and this is one classic example. How the hell it even crosses someone's mind to steal just to mine bitcoin for his own good? And on top of jail sentencing, he needs to pay a fine of 100,000 yuan (£10,930). You lost your freedom for three years and then you lost your mining gear and I'm sure by that time you get out, it's already obsolete and then you lost money here. How stupid move is that?

Yes, i was quite surprised to see ENJ suddenly pumped and I was looking for news and I found out that it was because of the Samsung crypto wallet which will include ENJ as well. Well, it's good news for holders as this coin was really pumped because of this but for sure, speculators will have a field day making money of it so for those who have jump in prior to the pump then enjoy your profits but don't be greedy at the same time. Remember that we're still in the bear market and everyone is looking to make profits so just enjoy the ride and exit on time.
7219  Other / Off-topic / Re: Russia’s Ruling Party United Russia Launches Blockchain-Based Voting System on: March 08, 2019, 01:55:52 PM
From the article:

Quote
This development, along with others, suggest that Russia is picking up its pace in adopting blockchain technology. Russian President Vladimir Putin recently ordered the nation’s lawmakers to form a regulatory framework for the cryptocurrency space, setting a deadline of July 1. The lower house of the parliament, the State Duma, is also launching an oil-backed cryptocurrency.

LOL. I have heard that since 2017 and up to now, I haven't seen anything concert coming from their government regarding their adoption of Blockchain Technology. It's like a case of 'tug-of-war' game and most of the times, they totally contradict themselves. And also the article say's that citizens needs to go to a public service portal, so we don't know if Russians are willing to go to another rounds of verification just to used this blokchain-based voting system.

Yes I remember this well even though I was young at the time but I remember watching this with my grandfather and we thought who is this young Women beating the best Women's player in the world at the time and now Serena would have to be the greatest Women's tennis player of all time. Osaka will be hard to beat in this tournament and I think she will be hard to beat all year, can Osaka win all four Grand Slams this year? I think she can go close, what does everyone else think?

Good question. I think we should look at the top 5 ladies right now and see how she gauge against the competition.

2. S. Halep
3 P. Kvitová
4 S. Stephens
5 K. Plíšková

~ snip ~

I think the only thing that can stop Osaka this year is an injury or she loses her winning mentality which can sometimes happen in tennis and sports in general. All these players are great however Osaka I think is above them right now and just think that she is so young. Halep might be tough to beat on clay however she needs to get her winning mentality back. The French Open will be interesting to watch as I want to see how Osaka goes on clay.

Right. That's why I put up the list so that we can see how Osaka is above the rest in the ladies division. I think we have seen her slip early this year when she was affected mentally about the news of her break up with her coach, so she needs to keep focus and not be influenced so to speak. Same here, I wanted her to play in clay and see how she peform, her 2 slams are in a fast court, so it's going to be interesting if he can play her usual in a slow court like clay this French open.
