We bought the house across the street from the Merritts, Dr. Beyga's old house. Here is a pic of our house with the Merritts in the front.

How clean is the lake water? I have not investigated Arkansas property yet, but $440,000 seems expensive for being in what most people would call "the middle of nowhere".
I'll call tomorrow and see what is going on with the link. If it isn't listed on the MLS any more I'll do a write up.
The lake water is ok. I used to swim in it when I was a kid, but I think you might get some strange looks being a adult swimming in it
. There ponds are stocked with large mouth bass and a number of other fish. Water moccasins as well in this area + copper heads (snakes.)

$440,000 $425,000 and it is in the nicest neighborhood in Batesville. Batesville is a "hub" for the middle of no where. Roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes from Little Rock and 2.5 hours away from Memphis.
