7221  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 03-Nov-2018] on: November 16, 2018, 09:04:39 PM
Yobit have just paid out for the first time in a while - glad I was patient =)
Are the rates correct on the table or did they changed it ? And how long did you wait before you received your payment?
Rates are correct. And personally, I still havent got paid. There are 3 or 4 months since the last payment.
7222  Economy / Reputation / Re: If I suspect a bitcointalk account is for sale... on: November 16, 2018, 11:20:36 AM
It's weired to see somoene trying to sell or buy accounts in the forum. Most of them got catched by Mods or users then receive an immediate red tag which turn it worthless.
In this thread, you may understand how much this market is getting bigger and bigger.
I don't think it's weird because big money are involved here. With Merit requirements it's more difficult to reach higher rank and earn money from bounties. So, buying an account for some people is the only way to monetize their activity on forum.
And I don't think that most of these accounts get cought and red tagged. We probably don't know how big this account sales market is. We can notice sold account only when seller or buyer makes mistake - reveal name of account, change of post quality, style and language and some other things. But many of abusers doing their job professionally and then we don't have an idea that thos account can be bought.
7223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ballon d'Or Winner on: November 15, 2018, 11:49:39 PM
IDK to be honest but I will be really pissed if Modric wins it , IMO he is really being overrated and there are plenty of players who did better
would love to see a French player winning , seriously I think all the French players who played the world cup deserve it more than Modric

I don't think you'll be alone in being pissed Ronaldo and Messi will go wild, especially Ronaldo he can't stand the fact someone else stole his limelight. I'll agree that Modric is not one of the star player, but his performances have made him a top contender for the award. If you speak of French players then I think Pogba deserves to win it, for his performance in the World Cup.
Modric had great year with Real and Croatia, but I don't think he should win Ballon d'Or award. In past players like Iniesta or Snejder had even better performances, but it wasn't enough to win this award. My top 3 would be Messi, Cristiano and Griezmann. Mbappe is also worth to mention. But if put my emotions and preferences aside - winner will be Cristiano or Modric.
And personally, I don't see players like Varane or Pogba in top 3.
It will be Modric in my opinion, Champions League winner & World Cup runner up. That’s a better season than Messi.
Both Ronaldo & Messi are starting to slow down now, maybe they’re past their peak. Expect players like Hazard o take over in the next few seasons.
I can't agree with you about Messi and Ronaldo. They are still top scorers in their teams, they make biggest and number of assists and they are still key players in national teams. I don't how you can say that they are already slowing down. Offcourse, not so many years left to br on the top, so now we just have enjoy watching football they're playing.
7224  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Faucetfly down? on: November 15, 2018, 11:24:19 PM
I just checked now and website works fine for me.
I didn't knew that Faucetfly are still alive. I rember this them and scammy faucets hosted on this service since Faucetbox times. After claim from Faucetfly faucet there was message that x satoshi sent to Faucetbox account. But in reality these coins never reached Faucetbox account. So, I never used this service. I'm wondering how situation had changed since then.
7225  Other / Meta / Re: Can we sue bitcoin.com for plagiarism? on: November 15, 2018, 11:13:15 PM
So, we should sue all other bitcoin forums for plagiarism, not only bitcoin.com because there are you can find same boards as on Bitcointalk. I don't like like Bitcoin Cash, Rodger Ver and everything what is related to it, I don't see nothing in their forum. Yeah, they have boards with same name, but also there are some unique board. If Bitcointalk have boards like Bitcoin discussion, Marketplace Altcoin discussion, other forums aren't allowed to use these words and they should invent a bike and find other words to name these boards?
7226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: November 15, 2018, 11:06:33 AM
final score: barca 3 - 4 real betis

although in the previous match Real Madrid managed to win, but they were still a few points behind Barcelona.
14 points between of them is very far and i'm not sure whether Madrid can able to pursuing Barcelona because since Ronaldo leave Madrid looks difficult to win even few weeks ago people still remember that on el classico match Barcelona already destroy Madrid and i think for upcoming match Madrid should be more consistent and if they lost again then they have to give spanish league trophy to Barcelona
14 points? Have you looked at the table? It's just 4 points between Barca and Real Madrid. It's very close distance between top 6 teams in La Liga currently and everything can happen
By the way, Real announced that they signed contract with manager Solari until 2021.

Yesterday freebitco.in was down for few hours due to issues with their hosting provider. And today website was offline for few hours for scheduled maintenance.
7228  Other / Meta / Re: Merit against spam: reward spam reporters & punish spammers on: November 14, 2018, 11:23:40 PM
First of all, such system would be abused easily as you can see from LoyceV example that he posted. Bad guys would be able to obtain merit in easy way and later sell it on black market or feed their own alts.
Secondly, merit is needed to reward quality posts only. If you want merit you need to make good posts, contribute and etc. I don't think that additional ways to get Merit is needed. Especially when theymos said that special badges will be given to most active reporters. Few most activer reporters like Welsh or Flying Helfish was already appointed as moderators. And I think that these users who are reporting spam aren't looking how to benefit from it. They just want to help mods and have cleaner forum. They expect to get Merit or other benefit for this activity.
7229  Other / Meta / Re: Captcha bypass purchase. on: November 13, 2018, 11:47:35 PM
Just keep yourself logged in so you dont have this issue.
I don't think that will work unless you keep your same IP forever will it?
I'm using Bitcointalk on mobile through my home wi-fi, public wi-fi, mobile data and I don't have to login each time when I switch IP.
And maybe some people have their own reasons why they don't want to keep account always logged in. One reason mentioned by jackg, another reason is security - if computer used by several person for example it's not very safe to keep account always logged in.

7231  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Will Russia create a new European Union? on: November 13, 2018, 11:33:17 AM
Russia is not the same country now.
Oh, really? What did changed since Soviet times. Authority in hands of one person, they still occupy countries or parts of it - Crimea, Eastern Ukraine, part of Georgia, they killing opposition politicans and journalist. How we can talk about union with Russia in current situation. You say that UK attacking and blaming Russia, but it's not without any reasons.
Who is friends of Russia? Ok Hungary and few countries small countries like Moldova. Who else? Post-soviet countries with regime authority like Belarus, Turkmenistan. Kazakhstan and others.
European countries, especially eastern part of it fear of Russia. And now Europe forced to have close links with Russia because they need gas and other resources. And in my opinion some countries Germany or France behaving hypocritical a bit - in public they're negative about Russia and support sanctions, but in reality they're doing business with Russia.
7232  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: November 13, 2018, 08:48:22 AM
The website will be taken down from 19:00 to 21:00 UTC (time.is/UTC) on the 14th of November for some scheduled maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

https://twitter.com/freebitco/status/1062191624640356352

7233  Other / Meta / Re: New board in altcoin? on: November 13, 2018, 12:09:27 AM
Good idea, but I think it's not likely that theymos will add. There was some requests to add altcoins begginers and help, altcoin technical support boards, but there was no reaction from theymos. Probably he don't see big demand for these additional boards. Also, new boards would require to have dedicated mods, but as we can see some already existing boards don't have dedicated mods
7234  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin core 0.16.3: high resource usage, on: November 12, 2018, 11:50:12 PM
Haven't you tried to upgrade your Bitcoin Core to 0.17.0? It's newest version available right now. I'm not very familiar with Bitcoin Core, so I can't suggest anything better.
P.S Discussions about Bitcoin Core belongs to Bitcoin Technical support board, not beginners and help. So I think it would be better to move your thread to that board Wink
7235  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Check the balance of your Bitcoin address at a specific date on: November 12, 2018, 11:37:14 PM
Nice, thanks for sharing this link. It's interesting to check history of my Bitcoin address balance. It's also can be useful if you want to check is your Bitcoin address is eligible for one of Bitcoin forks and see how much coins you can get. It would be nice if they show history of value in $ of Bitcoins in that address.

7237  Other / Meta / Re: Old topics not discussed on: November 12, 2018, 11:04:31 AM
I think old topics should be automatically locked if there was any responses in last 60 days for example. There is only problem we have with old topics - very often it's bumped by necro posters or bots.
But as long these old topics aren't bumped, they don't cause any problems. Leaving old topics unlocked isn't against the rules.
7238  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: November 12, 2018, 12:27:55 AM

@LTU_btc - Was it the same leagues as before (European Basketball)? I'll pass on the details to our sportsbook teams for further investigation, I was hoping it had been solved so apologies for the disruption.

Ronnie @ Cloudbet
Yes, it's mainly European basketball and some football leagues.
Any news, Ronnie?
7239  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you using a password manager on: November 12, 2018, 12:26:50 AM
No, I don't want to trust my passwords to 3rd party service. Maybe it's convenient to use, but I manage my passwords in old fashioned way. I trying to use unique password for every website and it's really difficult to remember all these different passwords fir every website. Especially I'm struggling to remember passwords on websites which I use rarely. So, often I forced to click forgot password button.
You are probably aware of this but I'll say it for other people using the auto fill option. Auto fills can be tricked and potentially be phished for information by hidden form fields. If you login to this site for example then the auto fill will just put in your username and password right? Well if the site owner has a hidden text box for a credit card your auto fill may well input your credit card information into that box giving them this information.

Its something which has been a known issue with Chrome, Safari and lastpass. I would recommend against auto fill options whenever possible or be careful where you are using autofill and what information is stored in your password manager.
I'm often using autofill for convenience. I know it's not adviced to do that. For example Firefox even warn not to use autofill on websites which don't have https. So, I'm trying not use autofill on websites like PayPal, crypto exchanges and others which are related to money.

Verstappen was leading today and had great chance to win and then this accident happened:
https://mobile.twitter.com/F1/status/1061696911617404928
Occon tried to unlap himself but he hit Verstappen. It was fault of Occon, but on the other hand Verstappen didn't left enough place for Occon.
And after race Verstappen showed very unprofessional behaviour:
