Once again, the scoring slows down after the 10th over. Warner and Bairstow scored at almost 10 runs per over, but the batsmen who came after them (Vijay Shankar, Hooda.etc) were not even able to score one run per ball. This has become the norm for the IPL. The steamers are proving very very expensive and the spinners are putting the breaks.
7282  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-03-16] India’s Best-Funded Bitcoin Exchange is Running Low on Cash on: April 17, 2019, 04:27:21 PM
No one will trade on an exchange that is located in a country where crypto is banned. They run the risk of seeing their coins confiscated by the government in India

Being an Indian resident, I can say that the crypto is not banned outright (at least not yet). But the government and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) are coming up with more restrictive regulations every day and now it is almost impossible to operate any legal business (including exchanges) which involves the transaction of cryptocurrency.

I am not 100% confident about these figures, as foreigners can also use the Brazilian exchanges. But I won't be much surprised if there is renewed interest in Brazil. The economy is getting weaker by the day and the new president (Jair Bolsonaro) is a mentally deranged person.
7284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EXPECTATION Vs. REALITY Bitcoin in the Eyes of the People! on: April 17, 2019, 04:17:50 PM
Bitcoin gets media attention only when the prices move up drastically. I will give you examples. When the price went up from $900 per coin to $20,000 per coin in 2017, a lot of mainstream media outlets covered it as prime news. But when the prices declined to $3,000 per coin from $20,000 per coin, most of these media outlets chose to ignore.
7285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trader Brutally Tortured on: April 17, 2019, 04:12:04 PM
Of course, you all are right in saying that need to talk less about cryptocurrency earnings. But on the other hand, how can we spread the word about crypto for its large-scale adoption if we are silent?

In order to spread awareness about the crypto-currency, you need to talk about its advantages and merits. Why do you think that you need to talk about how many coins you own, for this purpose? You can give examples of users who became rich after investing in crypto, but there is no need to give absolute numbers.
7286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not about ''get rich fast'' !! on: April 17, 2019, 04:08:26 PM
Yes, your statement is right.I think newcomers specially feels, they can become rich within month using bitcoin. But this is not true and they get disappointed and blame bitcoin.Actually,I think bitcoin can show you some paths of earning money, if you have the Proper skill and dedication then you can earn money from it.

Actually, this is one of the reasons why I say that a prolonged correction phase can be good for the health of the crypto-currency. Those guys who dream about becoming a billionaire in a fortnight will sell their coins and move on, and the market will be devoid of these less serious people.
7287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does your country knows about cock fighting betting? on: April 17, 2019, 04:04:56 PM
In the past in my country dog fight was popular but if you are caught doing it you go straight to prison and for a long time. The same applies for cock fighting too and any other animal related violence.

It is quite interesting. Some people would like to view these events as an expression of tradition and culture. But for some people it represents cruelty towards the animals. A few years back, the supreme court of India banned a sport called Jallikattu (South Indian equivalent of bull fighting). But the South Indian groups protested against the ban and eventually the government had to legalize it.
7288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling turn an atheist to theist and superstitious? on: April 17, 2019, 04:01:53 PM
I don't see any solid logic behind this argument. I am a religious person (Hindu), but I have a number of atheist friends. I would say that in case an atheist wins a big jackpot, then he is more likely to thank his skills than attributing it to the god. And one more thing... being a theist doesn't mean that one needs to be superstitious. And you can find superstitious people among the atheists as well.

CSK wasted the good start this time. They were 1/81 after 10 overs. And they scored just 27 runs from overs 11 to 16. I understand that this match is not that important for CSK, but if they play too cautiously, then their Net Run Rate (NRR) will drop a lot.
7290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: April 16, 2019, 08:05:05 PM
A good fight from Stuart Binny but bad luck is that RR lost. Other than him, all batsman played a slow innings which is the main reason for the lose. Tripathi, Rahane, Samson SR is very low.

Nowadays everyone cares more about their individual scores. Rahane and Samson could have scored at a faster rate but they were more concerned about strengthening their personal stats. Tripathi also wasted quite a lot of balls. It is more perplexing because when the scoring slowed down, they had enough wickets in hand. For example, at the end of 10th over, the score was 89/1. Just 44 runs came from the next 42 balls.
7291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: April 16, 2019, 07:55:43 PM
I wonder what happened to the Ireland team which was performing alright in past World cup outings.

Well.. they couldn't qualify for the event. The number of participants was reduced from 14 to 10, and as a result teams such as Zimbabwe and Ireland missed out. Ireland actually finished at no.5 position during the qualifiers and only the top two (West Indies and Afghanistan) qualified for the main event.
7292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to distinguish between good and bad projects on: April 16, 2019, 07:51:50 PM
First thing to do: Look at the team. Check if any of them has experience in the blockchain development. After that, read the whitepaper. Does it sound doable? and finally answer the question: Does it really need a blockchain?

These are some of the basic checks, but still they are quite difficult to implement. How can you chose a project after looking at the team? Nowadays it is very easy to create personal websites and Linkedin profiles, where all the information can be falsified. And even whitepapers can't be trusted. There is a chance that not everything that is given in the whitepaper may be present in the actual project.
7293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto A Way To become Rich / Millionaire ? on: April 16, 2019, 07:47:33 PM
Today Want to  Ask , did Satoshi Created bitcoin to solve poverty  issues or he created this bitcoin so solve financial transaction problems !!
Is crypto  a get rich quick scheme as people are putting their  mindset into  it  ?

Let me clarify a few things:

1. Satoshi created Bitcoin as a decentralized currency which cannot be controlled by any of the central banks.
2. Solving poverty or re-distribution of wealth was never his aim. Rather than being a socialist, Satoshi was more like a Libertarian.
3. Bitcoin is not a get-rich scheme or a ponzi project. But with any new innovation, the early adopters profits out immensely.
7294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can New Projects compete with the established ones? on: April 16, 2019, 07:44:44 PM
Every week we are witnessing the listing of dozens of new altcoins. Although the vast majority of them will never get in to the top-100 list, once in a while there will be exceptions. One such project that comes to my mind is Ontology. It was first listed in 2018, and now it ranks among the top-20 cryptos in terms of market capitalization.
7295  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-13] Quadriga Fails to Find $195 Million in Missing Bitcoin, Ethereum an on: April 16, 2019, 07:05:08 PM
Again another exchange bringing bad name to Bitcoin. Five years ago, Mt Gox was robbed and some $600 million worth of coins were stolen. Till this date, none of those coins have been recovered. And now we have another $200 million robbery in Quadriga. The Crypto market has become a refuge for all the con-men and scammers. The only precaution we can take is to avoid using exchanges to store our hard earned coins.
7296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We Need to start Mentioning Price in Satoshis on: April 16, 2019, 07:01:04 PM
Right now one Satoshi is equal to $0.000051.

What is the point in using such a small unit to talk about the exchange rates? At the most, we can use milliBitcoins (mBTC) while talking about the prices. But using such a small unit like Satoshi doesn't make any sense, and it will be just wasteful and inconvenient.
7297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trader Brutally Tortured on: April 16, 2019, 06:58:18 PM
This is really bad. I advise if you have much bitcoin dont ever say in it public

No one is stupid enough to say that they own a certain number of Bitcoins in the public. But the tax regulations and laws in certain countries requires you to divulge about your crypto holdings to the authorities. And once your information is loaded to the public servers, normally it won't take much time for that data to end up in the hands of shady people.
7298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright claims to be Satoshi? Here is what he should do ... on: April 16, 2019, 06:55:49 PM
He should post from this accounts https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3 claiming it is Craig or else Craig is a fraud.

He is claiming that in case he proves that he is Satoshi, then the FBI can arrest him for an array of charges. And at this point of time, I can't say that his arguments are without any basis. Every month or so, I am reading news reports about Bitcoin users in the US arrested for "illegal money transmitting" charges. So his reluctance is perfectly justified.
7299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: April 15, 2019, 07:17:29 PM
Surprising that Dinesh Karthik was picked ahead of Rishabh Pant. Both are performing well right now, but I would have rather gone with the 21-year old Pant than the 33-year old Karthik. But it is tough, when you don't have powerful people supporting you.
7300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: April 15, 2019, 07:10:55 PM
Can anyone explain why a spinner in the 19th over? What is going on in Kohli's mind? Has he gone brainless? Man is depending on luck where he needed a pacer who can bowl yorker. He had Umesh Yadav. So what Yadav was expensive in his first spell? He is very effective in death overs, he can blow yorker.

In this kind of matches 19th over is always crucial. If you can create pressure in the 19th over then at the last over batsmen feel immense pressure and give the wicket. Kohli just just gave the match to MI's hand when he called Negi to bowl.

Damn you Kohli. The entire IPL season is not working for RCB only for him.

I wouldn't blame Kohli. Pawan Negi was bowling well (till then) and he had only conceded 25 runs from his 3 overs. On the other hand, Umesh Yadav proved himself to be inefficient for the last 4 matches. Here are his figures for the last four IPL matches:

13.5 - 0 - 154 - 0

He has gone wicket-less, after conceding 11 runs per over. Do you really think Kohli should have gone with him?
