Wow.  26!  Do you find it messes with your internet connection reliability?
7302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GPU Coin - Full PoS - Mac Wallet Released on: June 28, 2016, 03:02:06 AM
Does anyone have a sample conf file that limits the number of connections to the network?  I have too many connections (currently 25) and am noticing a degradation of my internet connection.

I have never seen more than 12 connections in my wallet, it always seems to be around 12 . .

Can you screenshot 25 connections ?

Yes I can Wink

I cropped out the entire wallet because privacy.
7303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you recieved random BTC, would you return it? on: June 28, 2016, 03:00:25 AM
Well if nobody claims it, then i will consider it as a gift but if somebody contact me and can confirmed that he or she is the owner of the money then i will send it back

You're shitting me right?  Would you give me your contact info if I send you some coins? How would the sender go about contacting you once the error was realized?!
You can confirm that the sender is the owner by sending the coins back to the address from which it came.  I can't believe the number of people saying they would keep it and your justifications are so fucking lame.

7304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you recieved random BTC, would you return it? on: June 28, 2016, 02:56:19 AM
I honestly would not give it back because its your own mistake and how can you even do this.
You always have to check your adress.

I can't believe the number of dishonest individuals on this forum.
this kind of person always exist somewhere, but I think most of people will not going to send it back, nor the richest one

I think you've got a self-serving bias resulting from a need to maintain and perhaps to enhance your self-esteem.  You attribute your behavior in this situation to others.  You need to think outside your box; good people would give it back.
7305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you recieved random BTC, would you return it? on: June 28, 2016, 02:45:23 AM
I would most likely keep it because I don't know if someone was just trying to be nice to someone else. I know that's unlikely, but there's no way to know. If it's a large amount, then I may feel too guilty to keep it though.

Here's a novel idea.  YOU do something nice and send it back!
7306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you recieved random BTC, would you return it? on: June 28, 2016, 02:43:56 AM
If that happens then most probably I will keep it but if the sender would ask me to send it back then, I will. Smiley

Dishonest with a sense of humor too.  You'll make somebody a good father.

Why would I return it?  The person who sent it obviously doesn't know to spend it properly,  and who knows what he'll do with it next.  Returning it would only be wasting good bitcoin.   Shocked

I would also do this! No point in sending it back. I would then keep it and probably invest in something or maybe just hold on to it for a while until I can figure out what to do with it or when the prices change to my liking.

This is pretty weak justification for keeping something that isn't rightfully yours.  The coins have readily identifiable ownership linked to them - the sending address.  If you found a wallet on the street which contained money and identification, would you keep that because the person "obviously doesn't know" how to possess a wallet?

if I got it for free, then I would not give it back. I think it was a gift for me because of the possibility of wrong delivery address wallet does not seem likely.

A total random mistake like the one I defined above (like having 12rqhr98r98ry98qYR89qr9q or whatever, and sending it to 12rqhr98r98ry98qYR89qr9w because you mistake q for w) is really, really, really unlikely.

But, copy-pasting the wrong address, for example the guy had one of your addresses in the past and he was intending to sell 1 BTC somewhere else but mistakenly copy pastes your address instead

Or you waiting for 0.1 BTC but sender makes a mistake and sends 1.0....

this is more realistic and can statistically happen considering how many transactions happen daily.

In the first case, I would have received a previous transaction and be familiar with the sender so I would return the coins.
In the second case I would also be familiar with the sender and would refund the difference (maybe after subtracting the transaction fee in either case). Now, this could be problematic as the sending address could be from an exchange or a mining pool account and the coins would not actually be received by the sender.  I guess it would be prudent to try to contact the person before sending the coins back if possible.  Hopefully people would only send coins from wallets under their direct control.
I could never keep something that wasn't intended for me.

Let's say you wake up some day and you get like 1 BTC. For me this is a lot. What do you do? You return back the BTC to the owner, do you keep it? and why.

I don't know what I would do to be honest. I mean who knows if the guy that just sent you this is a criminal or a good man? Very tough decision. For someone like me that has a small BTC wallet and is trying to make as much BTC as possible before its too late due price going too high, it would be hard to return it, but I would feel bad to keep it too.

It would be pretty hard for somebody to inadvertently send you a bitcoin.

7313  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Women beating men; is it common? on: June 27, 2016, 09:59:48 PM
may it common in your area but not in your area. but not in my area. in our area women respect their husband. they take care of their children. they also prepare meal for them when they are on duty. this is our society so in our society women even cannot think about to beat the men.

I don't even know what society you are speaking of yet I would venture that some of the women are always thinking about beating the living shit out of some of the men.

Guys, the letter says they don't have a backup.  If they don't have a backup, they have no way to verify the information they are asking of you.  This is a very lame attempt to steal more money from the already impoverished Hashocean users.

 Don't send anything!
7317  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your favorite alcohol? on: June 26, 2016, 10:07:37 PM
For the most part I abstain; partaking infrequently of alcoholic beverages but I have always wanted to try absinthe perhaps solely for the ritual involved in serving it.

Maybe one day I'll get the chance.

All the toilets in a New York police station were stolen last night.  The police have nothing to go on.

Best of 2013 EDM - awesome mix (I love Tsunami!)
