so is it now technically impossible to reach 6 votes in a block ? (because one block already had 5 votes) .... are we really waiting on the poolfix
or could it still happen in one of the next blocks ?

Hello,

I am a film music composer, but also a huge fan of crypto-currencies and especially DarkCoin.

DarkCoin has inspired me to compose a DarkCoin Anthem and the music was already performed by a huge 100 musicians symphonic orchestra for me. The music theme is really great and will motivate all people who invested in DRK and also their friends once they hear the anthem. It is also against all trolls, who think they can manipulate people to lose their motivation.

I will soon upload the music to YouTube, but will need some graphics, images and also a possible 3D video of the DarkCoin logo. I would be happy if somebody will provide me with this media, so I can make a great YouTube presentation of the DarkCoin.

Feel free to contact me at tcherkin@gmail.com

Thanks,

Georgii Cerkiin

Here you can listen to the music, feel free to use the music for all projects concerning DarkCoin Smiley

I hope all the fans of DarkCoin will enjoy this music. Thank you!

I will also appreciate your DRK donations here:

7307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [DIG] DIGIT | Relaunch Info Inside! on: May 23, 2014, 11:37:22 PM
The address verification process has failed for several Digit holders. All of them have been notified by private messages. Please make sure to double-check that you've correctly followed the guide:

1.   Open your Digit wallet and create a new receiving address.
2.   Send all of your Digit to the new address you just created.
3.   Wait until it is confirmed.
CHECK YOUR ADDRESS BALANCE FROM BLOCK EXPLORER: http://blockexplorer.digitpayment.org/chains
4.   Click File -> Sign Message.
5.   Choose your created address (there is a clickable icon at  the right side of the address bar).
6.   Type your forum username in to large box on the center of window (double check for typos!). We may send you a PM to verify after relaunch.
7.   Click sign message (green text „message signed“ will appear on the bottom of the window).
8.   Open your web browser and go to our homepage: http://digitpayment.org, then navigate to the Contact page.
9.   Type in your email. Type „Compensation“ to Subject field.
10.   Provide your Digit address signature info in the message box like this example:
Type in your Digit address signature info: Your Digit receiving address, your bitcointalk username and your Digit signature. Example:  https://i.imgur.com/nx4jhXk.png
11.   Type in the security code and click  „Submit“
12.   Hang on tight as we will contact you for your new receiving address after the re-launch!

Deadline: 2014.05.27 19:00 GMT
.

3.   Wait until it is confirmed.

To all : Wait untill its confirmed in the transaction details (go to transactions, doubleclick on your payment to yourself transaction .. check the transaction details,  it needs to be confirmed there with 10 transactions or more !!). So dont think its confirmed after just 3 confirmations !!
a bit misleading in this wallet.

can i ask how long does this staking take ,i'm waiting to do the above actions but my coins are never all confirmed they keep switching between the staking level and confirmed

Staking takes 60 confirmations before its added back with interest at your balance. Just keep an eye out on your mining transactions, once those are fully confirmed (60 confirmations) the staking will be finished.

it seems to have stopped staking now , but i now have 81 transaction entries that when i put my cursor on them say  'generated but not accepted mined' any ideas about that  thanks

- are you sure you upgraded to wallet version 1.1.0 ? (open wallet, click on ''help'' and then click on ''about digit'' it needs to show version 1.1.0)
- inside your wallet, is your total amount now mentioned in ''Spendable'' and your not missing any coins there ? (''Stake'' and ''Unconfirmed'' are now both 0?)

if yes .. then i wouldnt worry about those failed mining transactions, your getting a new wallet address after the relaunch anyways.
I would recommend following DSF instructions then...

question 1 : would a specific Mintcoin bootstrap.dat help with processing the loading block index faster ? (my windows wallet takes a lot of time processing the loading block index when i'm starting it
and i'm trying to find a way to make that go faster .. any tips / advice on that matter would be appreciated)

Bootstrap explained  :

Bootstrap allows a new client (not synced) to rapidly import the initial blocks from a local file instead of slowly downloading blocks from random peers. This significantly reduces the time it takes to get a
client synced with the current blockchain.

Simply having bootstrap.dat in client's expected data directory will make your initial block sync much faster. The import process can be even faster if you use the -dbcache=1000 command line
parameter which uses an additional 1GB of RAM for the database index cache.

question 2 : can someone explain the difference from IRC seeding in comparison with DNS seeding? i saw it merged in GitHub per 15 may 2014 (Enabled DNS seeding by default, added 1 DNS seed)

thanks,

qwizzie

most noobs dont know the difference between X11 and scrypt so i dont think that DIG being scrypt will have
a negative impact for newcomers.

What worries me (and makes me loose interest in this coin at this point tbh) is this passive waiting on the natural value increase of this coin
before launching any sort of major active promotion campaign. Right now you dont have any products or services you can buy with DIG as
there is no active promotion going on to attract merchants and services .. something that wont likely change in the nearby future with current strategy.

Personally i stopped mining, i just dont see the point in it anymore. I just thought there would be a lot more active promotion going on by now.

qwizzie

What would you propose? They said that theres pretty much nothing they can do at this point, because not enough people havent followed the path. And i agree. There is no point to make another giveaway if even the reddit giveaway is still open because theres not many who want coins for free. They also can not make other bounties because Digit is not in any good exchange yet. No one will care to help until Digit has some value which can be turned in to profit.
The only way i see is to wait or change something which is holding crowd from mining and promoting this coin. And those points are clearly the facts that its scypt, its premined and its mining period is huge 3 years.
Its simply not appealing at the moment. Despite the beautiful technical and fundamental idea and artwork. People simply dont care if theres no quick profit involved.
I know how markets work, because i trade for living for more than 8 years already.

I dont have a solution, in theory i guess the devs could change the algoritme and mining period through hard forks but thats not something they most likely want for this
coin and is in general also not recommended for any coin. I think i will put my DIG on ice for awhile and check back in after a year or something...

I really like the idea of this coin. But its character is holding it from hype and quick success. 99% of bitcointalk users only care about quick money and Digit´s difficulty adjusting block reward and long mining period is not motivating them to jump in. Besides, X11 is now a lot more popular than scrypt. What you guys think?

quote :

''160M DIG will stay in DSF wallets and and start collecting stake interest. Base coins will not be sold or traded in any case. Stake interest generated DIG will be used as explained below. Digit actively promotes independent currency adoption process. We want it to get as well spread and as much used, as possible. We will support every merchant, service and any other great deed which helps to create popularity and adopt Digit as secure and reliable payment instrument''.

I was just wondering when the collecting stake interest will provide enough DIG that we will see some active promotion from your side starting to take form ?  It is needed to attract new members and it should pref. start before the 1000 dig blocks end so they all still have a chance to mine some good rewards...

Hopefully this comes off a good surprise : BC/MINT rivalry aside (if there still is one - I don't believe there is) I will be adding MintCoin support to my pool. I will having the beta test this weekend. You guys get to be the lucky guinea pigs if you decide to participate. A quick explanation as to what is going on : you will either be able to mine BC only, MINT only, or even go "hybrid" and configure your miners to be paid out 50/50 in BC/MINT.

Here is a preview. Smiley

Hey everyone I am new to this thread.
Also a friend of blade87 well on the net and mining.
SO I hold a fair amount of BC which I will be keeping but I will be mining now Mint to as soon as his pool is up.
Looking forward to posts here. Smiley
and hoping it is okay for me to like and be a part of both communities.

Of course its okay to be part of both communities... welcome to the Mintcoin community

Pls put a google two-way authentication methode on your exchange for extra security. Pretty much all exchanges have these nowadays. Shows that the exchange takes security very seriously.

They are such plans.
further feedback :

- creating Digitaddress on your exchange : no problem
- transferring DIG into your exchange : no problem (fast too)
- placing trade orders : no problem
- cancel trade orders : no problem
- withdraw DIG / BTC : due to beta operations / manual processing some delay but no problem in the end

EDIT

found a bug during registration i think, password can not be copied into the the password field.
you need to manually type it in the field (copy & paste doesnt seem work in the password field during registration).
If you have a very long and difficult password it will complicate things during registration.

I can't confirm that, its plain clean form without any javascript. Maybe your browser block that? Can somebody confirm that?

I sent you 500 DIGIT for this report to dUqUdTWxQAiXXZBKsxjAW5kfM5xDnyuk1E
