Slight drop, the drop is the price is a bit more serious so it won't balance things but it's again the same back and forth.
Looking at profitability we're back to something around earlier February, and I'm still surprised the hashrate is not moving again up, probably it's not as much as the BTC price but the increase one electricity costs.
I'm still wondering who would be willing to sell large miners energy at 2-3 cents with the current tariffs and fuel costs.

Hopefully, we go flat till the next Bitmain batch delivery, it should be early May if I recall correctly.

As for the video cards price, I really expect a price drop, especially in the used market, ETH makes the biggest chunk of rewards a day, there is simply no coin that would be able to provide the miners with the same revenue or even half of it. If Buttercup could be trusted about the dates when it plans to be doing something every smart guy would be willing to sell those before the actual switch.
Lol, check the prices here in Europe, it's 1689, but Euros.

Texas and some other states flare a ton of natural gas just burns it. Pipe line is too costly.

A lot of generator huts burn the gas and mine. The gas is free as it was being flared and burned.

here is original almond flour pizza dough

https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/242467/almond-flour-pizza-crust/

Ingredient Checklist
2 ¼ cups King Arthur Almond Flour
2 tablespoons King Arthur Coconut Flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (Optional)
½ teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
3 large eggs
2 tablespoons olive oil
ADD ALL INGREDIENTS TO SHOPPING LIST

we use 1.5 cups red mill almond flour
himalayan red salt
1 large egg
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 chunk of coconut unprocessed oil comes in a mason jar and it some what hard like butter

makes a thin crust  and it is pretty carb free say 28%  net carb  by gram weight while white flour is 71% net carb by gram weight

add the egg with its 7 grams of protein
and the pat of coconut oil the almond flour crust is far better than white flour pizza crust.

and you can use this item below to start the tomato soup
the soup should be good with tomatoes and heavy cream.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JQC7VHS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?

only 2 ingredients in the tomatoes above . salt and tomato.

so a jar is 36 net carbs and low salt add the heavy cream and play with spices to taste.

add one 24 oz jar and 8 oz heavy cream .  cook with a slow low flame add the cream slowly

First off you guys inspired me.

I am going to make that tomato soup. with the heavy cream. (thank god I have good cholesterol )

I am going to talk the wife into making her almond flour based pizza dough

And I will use four cheese's brie,jarlsberg,mozzerella,cheddar

Her almond flour based pizza dough also makes a knock out cracker.

Some black coffee and a nice feast for us.

I will post her pizza dough recipe. tomorrow. It is more like a thin crust crispy pizza dough or a matzo but it is one of the few subsitutes for bread crackers or matzo that tastes really good and has a nice texture.

For more protein (and possibly animal fat - which is good for you) maybe add some fatty ground beef to it  (which would be an attempt to lower the percentage of carbohydrates - of course, cheese is not completely carbohydrates - and yeah, I like the idea of heavy whipping cream rather than water or regular milk)?  Though adding too many other ingredients might end up messing up the whole taste profile?  Think about it:  little pieces of ground beef floating around.. sounds good to me, but I admit it might not be the same experience as the more pure tomato soup play.

NOOO!!!
Blasphemy!!!
Leave the CHUNKS out of the Creamy Cheez Dippin goodness that is Mater Soup!
But if you want to add some protein, can't go wrong with a couple slices of crisp bacon on them fried sammies...

You realize almond flour has protein and the cheeses I listed do not have many carbs if any.

I have to find the recipe for the pizza dough.

maybe.  Hell let it drop to 18k that will shake shit up. Roll Eyes

now there is a sign that maybe eth will really go pos.

Not sure what this means but I think I see a large drop coming for everything if it means eth goes pos in june or july

Hey, here is the thing. Nobody ever said that getting rich is easy. There is no way to get rich without hard work, commitment and sacrifice. Yes, you can do lottery mining but buying bitcoin would be reliable, even though it will take too much time to make the profits you desire.

he could do both.

buy 0.01 btc which is around $400

rent 0.001 btc at nice hash point it to cksolo pool

if it loses he has 0.009btc

a month later

buy 0.01 btc
rent 0.001 btc at nice hash coin it to cksolo pool

if it loses he has 0.009+0.009= 0.018 btc

if he does this for a year he has

12 x 0.009 = 0.108 btc if all the rentals lose. Which they likely would
7307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining rig burning smell! on: April 13, 2022, 12:46:11 PM
The first psu arrived and i spent some hours to assemble everything with only 5 gpus that work as ever, luckily.
Tomorrow the second psu will arrive and i will install the other 5 gpus.
Now i want to know approximately the power consumption of all the system in addition to the gpus, so the mobo, the risers, the ssd, the ram ecc..
So i can have an idea about the total power drain of my rig other than all the 10 gpus.
I took 2 of these:
https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B09JP7QPSV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I think these psus are perfect and now i have been able to arrange all the cables neatly and not tangled between the gpus.
I only have a doubt about the risers connections, because i used 3 molex connectors located along a single cable, but I have heard that it is better not to go beyond the two cable connectors per single cable.
Right?
However it's confusing because i found in the psu package, 2 molex cable with 4 connectors per cable.
Thanks again!

no no no no no no.

a molex can only do 1 riser safely
2 risers are a risk
3 riser = meltdown
If using Radeon RX 6600 XT and GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, then I would connect these 2 raisers from 1 single power branch, provided that the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti does not consume more than 140 watts. This is bad, but my farms have been working like this for 6 years, but I have high-quality wires and expensive PSUs. For such a number of video cards, it would probably be better to order a ready-made server block for 2 kilowatts for 200-250 dollars.

yeah I was extra cautious as a molex cable  can usually handle 2 lesser power cards. A sata cable not so much

he did get a very good set of power supplies in the 1300 watt EVGA's with enough cables to do his setup safely.

7309  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Determining the source of a bitcoin transaction on: April 13, 2022, 01:30:18 AM
There are many services like this:
https://www.viabtc.com/tools/broadcast

Which allows a transaction creator to give their signed transaction directly to a mining pool, allowing that mining pool to then broadcast the transaction to others (if the pool even wants to).

Many people, including myself, use services like this at times rather than broadcasting a transaction from our own connected node. At BEST, in situations like that, you'll only be able to tell which pool received the transaction first, but won't know anything at all about who gave the transaction to the pool. At worst, if the pool chooses not to broadcast the transaction and instead just adds it to their own block, you won't even see the transaction at all until you see it already in a block.

This is why the op has no real shot at understanding location of the true creator of a tx.

here is another variation. I point a gpu miner to nicehash and use a fresh never used btc address as my final payment area. ten other people do this with 10 fresh btc addies.

all ten of us have decent amount of gpu miners and mine about 0.1 btc in a day

in theory nice hash will create a transaction for 1 btc total to 10 different btc addresses each one getting 0.1 btc
so you know nicehash sent the tx but it is worthless as they sent it to 10 anonymous btc addresses

those 10 miners can further mine 0.1 btc  a day for 10 days. end result is 10 addresses with 1 btc.

then change the ten locations to 10 new addresses . and in 10 days 10 coins

so in a year the ten large miners could have 36.5 coins each  spread on 37 address.

and even though every btc coin was sent to those address from nicehash you would not know if

it was one guy with a super shit ton of hash. or 10 guys with just a ton of hash.

all you would know is nicehase paid out to 10x 37 addresses a total of 365 btc.

in fact you would not know if gpus mined the coins or asics mined the coins.

Other anonymous pools exist. so find a tx source works only some of the time.

Hope so.... Twitter as it is , is a dirty echo chamber narrative control censorship crazy virtue signalling shit hole, absolute dirt.

The dirty secret is that it can't not be. That's why I'm not interested in any of its competitors.

Yo... what makes you say that , no disagreement from me just curious

I assume he means that every social media platform eventually devolves into liberal tribalism and corp/govt censorship, because the parent company starts selling user data, and taking investment money from the same entities that fund the corptocracy, MSM and the WEF agendas. Essentially being subsidized by these entities for selfish interests. Shill bots eventually take over and run rampant across the entire platform, spewing propaganda and agenda bait.

It's the only business model that these social media platforms can make any money at and still survive. There is really no changing them for the better.

Hmm. Missed that original reply somehow. For me, it's more that the immediacy of the platform and the terseness of the messaging combined with the relative anonymity and safety that it provides is just going to bring out the worse in everyone that touches it (I've felt it in myself on the few occasions I've interacted). It's basically the same mechanism as behind road rage. We've all (I'm sure) sent regrettable emails in the past. Twitter is that on steroids.

That's only the start of it though. There's a whole Skinner box/dopamine aspect to it that goes on. It's poison to the soul.

Well there are quite a few dark agendas everywhere on the web.

Even sites like macrumors turned into apple fan boys and apologist’s. most likely hired by apple to defend apple.

same is true for evga forum at twenty percent of the posters shill for evga.

but twitter and facebook are worse by far.

Bitcoin fans are psychopaths who don’t care about anyone, study shows.

Quote
The average Bitcoin investor is a calculating psychopath with an inflated ego, according to scientists.

A team of experts recently surveyed more than 500 people to uncover the personality traits that are most common among crypto nuts.

They identified that many investors exhibit signs of the “dark tetrad”, a group of four unsavory traits made up of narcissism, Machiavellianism, psychopathy and sadism.

In plain English, that means dark tetrads have an inflated sense of self-importance and derive pleasure from the pain of others.

They also find it difficult to empathize with others and are sly and manipulative.
----

“We studied only a subset of people interested in crypto who do have these traits,” Dr. Wang said.

“If you happen to be a Bitcoin or other crypto holder, you may or may not exhibit them.”

This is how a lot of scientific studies are made these days, catchy headline with non-substantively content.

And no verification that the people claiming they are btc people are not stock people deliberately trying to make btc investors look bad.

A fucking joke. thanks for the link.

Hello willi9974 and everyone else,

I'm a beginner rookie, I'm a child and my father give me an old PC to learn mining stuff. So I'm trying to test some lottery luck with my solo mining BTC using cgminer at 250 Mega Hashes per second (Mh/s).

I know its sounds crazy but i believe in luck!

I have a few questions about my mining because when i try to reach my stats at solo.ckpool, it shows nothing.

I get connected to solo.ckpool.org diff 10k with stratum at my BTC address, with WU 2.6M and Diff 28.6T at 200 Mh/s

1. Why i don't get any info of my address?
2. How i can calculate a minimum hashrate for at least luck mining?

Thanks, and I'm sorry for the silly questions
 Wink
. assuming that it is hashing it is so small that it will take a day or so to even show one share.

Hello again, i want o know the means of best share,

1. That isn't share sended o ckpool, is it? in that case cgminer shows 2.6 Hashes per minute, Is that right?

2. Why ckpool don't shows my stats at my address user?

3. Where do i see the real shares sended o pool?

4. I'm using a modified Cgminer 3.7.2  that uses a graphic card, so maybe that is the problem?

5. A guy offers me a 4-5 terahash ASIC machine, Is it enough for solo mining?

Thanks in advance, and sorry for silly questions, but i need to learn!

try the 4-5 terahash miner it is supposed to work.

also switch the cable on the bad unit with the cable on the good unit.

if the problem moves with the cable move then you have a dicey cable.

eth cables do go bad with movement or even with no movement.

What was changed/edited?
Not the post. The only difference I find is in the title: "¸" in the middle is replaced by a space. I can't be sure who did that (and why).
Probably to fix the broken table/view Philip [inadvertently] created with the original title which skewed the main 'meta' board... because it was so long (with no spaces), and would not wrap in the column. You should be able to use word-wrap or word-break in CSS to avoid the issue, but maybe it was just easier to edit the title.

Yeah I made it one line for the art. I did not realize it would skew the meta board. (figures)

I only asked because I liked the way the feedback looked and wondered if I could use variations of it legally.

I consider a lot of the plagiarism rules too strict as to definitions on this website.

So if I choose to play with the art I wondered if it was like using an emoji or plagiarism.

So this artwork is more like emoji play than word play.

thus legal to not credit the patterns of emoji play.

and wrong to not credit the patterns of word play.

was not sure about it.  thanks to all

especially theymos

There are three separate issues here:
 - Plagiarism is bannable on bitcointalk.org because copying something just to boost your post count (or similar) demonstrates utter contempt for the whole concept of a discussion forum. You copying something like that is completely different, so it would not be bannable.
 - If you copy something and pass it off as your own, some people might consider this unethical and worthy of negative trust. In this case, I would personally consider this ASCII art too simple to expect you to credit the author.
 - Copying something could be a legal issue for you due to copyright. At least under US law, that ASCII art is too simple to be copyrightable.

Since I may do my new titles with some ASCII ART that will be simple I should be good to go.

I believe that 40 years or so a call to free lost coins will begin.

Any address that has not had a withdrawal in 40 years will be listed as an abandoned account and have 1 year or 2 years to do a withdrawal. It will will then forfeit and go back to the fund of coins left to mine.

I will be dead or 105 in 40 years. So I won't see it but in 2062 blocks will be only 0.0060986328125 coins

I don't know if perhaps i'm overthinking this, but considering the evolution of money from the beginning of time where different things have served as a medium of exchange and now currently banknotes.

On same trend, we are slowly witnessing the evolution of  money to crypto and i can't help but wonder if crypto is the final stage or there may perhaps be another revolutionary idea to replace crypto as money after crypto has been accepted.

What do you think?

I think we will be wired to the grid. Or chipped in the head. Maybe in under 100 years time. The lure will be longer life time.  And time of life will be the currency.

Not my idea there was a movie about it. In fact I am blending that movie and Johnny Nemonic and Matrix. I kind of think we are heading there.

the diabetes is not terrible I can stay under a1c of 7 via diet and I do it.

I don't know anything about diabetes except you can't eat any white foods.

Question, is non dairy creamer bad for diabetes?

Someone I know piles that shit in their coffee and then the implant they have goes off and they say its not connected.

its terrible.

if you have diabetes and cholesterol . you have to drink black coffee unsweetened.

I learned that in the Navy as we would run out of sugar and milk while at sea.

as i mentioned i have decent cholesterol so I can have heavy cream with coffee if I want to.

Oh my blood pressure and weight is decent so I can eat a ton of steak and eggs 🍳 with salt or mustard

Or steak eggs 🥚 bacon peppers onions and cheese 🧀 with some dried tomatoes.

It is a dozen eggs.
a skirt steak 16 oz i cut it into pieces about the size of my pinky.
One red bell pepper chop it into piece about the size of my pinky
one onion. dice it smal
a  oz of sun dried tomato 🍅 make strips
 some coconut oil

melt the coconut in the pan oil as it is like butter in the fridge
cook the onions and bell peppers
add the steak
mix the eggs in a bowl
add to the frying pan mix it a bit
add the dried tomatoes.

lay various slices of different cheeses.

the frying has to be pretty big. remember a dozen eggs.

this dish serves four to six.

my wife and I will eat some for breakfast. I have it for lunch. nuke it hot
and eat the left over for break fast nuke it hot.

I fuck with it vary the veggies. add some bacon to it or add brooklyn naked biltong (cleanest biltong made)
it is really good. likely it has saved my life

my a1c was at 12 which is dude you are going to die.
I found out i was diabetic (edit) when I checked my prostate (this is a big killer in my family)

doctor freaked. called my house my cell and emailed me.

I did a shit ton of research to see if I could get my numbers low without drugs.

Edit (kept did the trick a1c at 6 to7 vs 12

daily blood sugar at 100 to 150 vs 250 to 300

Nuts seeds meats fish proper veggies.

no rice
no wheat
no beer
no soda

still have vodka
and good dry red wine

desert is strawberry/heavy whipped cream
some fruit.
dark chocolate 70% to 88%

very little cake or cookies.

cheese cake that I make from scratch
ice cream that I make from scratch
since my business is mining bitcoin (and some shit coin) I have time to cook.
7318  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Cable, Wiring, and Plugs - Options for High Ampage? on: April 12, 2022, 04:36:23 AM

so a 20 amp may be good  for the 4 miners above on a hot summer night.

My main farm can sag to 190 volts so I use 30 amp circuits and down clock in the summer.

if we have 8 x 3500w miners

From the consumer unit have 8 x 20amp breakers with there own dedicated cable from each?

Also, can you explain this

Quote
but if your voltage drops on a brown out to 208  208 x 16 = 3328 which may trip the 20 amp circuit with constant run

202 volts x 16 = 3232 and your 20 amp  breakers will trip

if the voltage drop to 202 volts(from 230/240), how will this cause the breaker to trip? Less voltage means less amps, so it should definitely not trip

okay a 3500 watt miner wants 3500 watts it not underclocked.

so 3500/240 = ? amps

and 3500/208 = ? amps

the voltage drop from 240 to 208 does ? to amps

I know the answer to those ?

The thing you need to understand is a 3500 watt machine sucks at the power line until the line provides 3500 watts. unless you set a lower clock on the miner and demand less watts.

the miner says give me my 3500 watts.

first question mark is 14.58 amps and a 20 amp breaker should do the trick without underclock.
second question mark is 16.82 amps and a 20 amp breaker may pop if you run 24/7
third question mark is amps go up.

think of the miners demand of 3500 watts like a pool to be filled

so a 1 inch hose with 240 pounds (volts) of water pressure takes less time (amps) to fill the pool

a 1 inch hose with 208 pounds (volts) of water pressure takes more time (amps) to fill the pool

the things that vary are volts and amps not watts

or in the analogy  of the pool. the water pressure and the time vary and the pool size is constant.

if you have 8 pieces of 3500 watt gear with 20 amp separate breakers you may have to underclock the gear to 3000 watts in the summer. it simply depends on the power company giving you a dead solid 220 volts or more all summer long.

oh 3500/220=? amps 😀

15.9 amps is the answer which should work.

now i did not mention that 20 amp circuits should have 12 gauge wire/3.3mm2
and 30 amp circuits should have 10 gauge wire/5.3mm2

but that is another story.

basic code of usa above but should keep you safe.

also if you do 10 gauge wire and 30amp breakers.

you could do gear upgrades if they make units like this link standard.

the unit below uses 5300 watts and could be the future
