According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

the diabetes is not terrible I can stay under a1c of 7 via diet and I do it.

I don't know anything about diabetes except you can't eat any white foods.

Question, is non dairy creamer bad for diabetes?

Someone I know piles that shit in their coffee and then the implant they have goes off and they say its not connected.

its terrible.

if you have diabetes and cholesterol . you have to drink black coffee unsweetened.

I learned that in the Navy as we would run out of sugar and milk while at sea.

as i mentioned i have decent cholesterol so I can have heavy cream with coffee if I want to.

Oh my blood pressure and weight is decent so I can eat a ton of steak and eggs 🍳 with salt or mustard

Or steak eggs 🥚 bacon peppers onions and cheese 🧀 with some dried tomatoes.

It is a dozen eggs.
a skirt steak 16 oz i cut it into pieces about the size of my pinky.
One red bell pepper chop it into piece about the size of my pinky
one onion. dice it smal
a  oz of sun dried tomato 🍅 make strips
 some coconut oil

melt the coconut in the pan oil as it is like butter in the fridge
cook the onions and bell peppers
add the steak
mix the eggs in a bowl
add to the frying pan mix it a bit
add the dried tomatoes.

lay various slices of different cheeses.

the frying has to be pretty big. remember a dozen eggs.

this dish serves four to six.

my wife and I will eat some for breakfast. I have it for lunch. nuke it hot
and eat the left over for break fast nuke it hot.

I fuck with it vary the veggies. add some bacon to it or add brooklyn naked biltong (cleanest biltong made)
it is really good. likely it has saved my life

my a1c was at 12 which is dude you are going to die.
I found out i was diabetic checked my prostate (this is a big killer in my family)

doctor freaked. called my house my cell and emailed me.

I did a shit ton of research to see if I could get my numbers low without drugs.

Ok, you were able to lower your A1C quite significantly.
What is the main component that did it, in your opinion?
Not adding sugar? eating lots of meat? maybe veggies?

For another opinion, I'm somewhat convinced by the low carb folk when it comes to diet for avoiding diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Mind you I haven’t really scoured the literature myself as of yet in any great detail (always damn busy). However, when this topic comes up on hackernews I do go through the comments and look at the odd link posted.

Here’s a few I’ve read/watched recently, more cholesterol focused than diabetes but I believe they are related.

https://peterattiamd.com/the-straight-dope-on-cholesterol-part-i/ - A pretty detailed guide on all aspects cholesterol. Referencing could be better, but still not bad.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32653422/- Review and Meta-Analysis on egg consumption and  cardiovascular disease.

https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-018-38461-y – an interesting one, specifically figure 2.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXKJaQeteE0 – a nice easy to understand video, no real detail though.

To me it all just kind of makes sense. Carbs trigger an insulin response, today’s carbs are supercharged, therefore pancreas gets worn out. In addition, to that the carbs affect the cholesterol, 2 birds with one stone.

Having said all that, just cutting out majority processed foods would probably be enough. But low carb, with lots of vegetables IMO would probably be best.

Good info there.  I read a book called The Obesity Code which contained several revelations for me but I'm not going to reinvent the wheel since someone else has already done it much better that than I could have Smiley

Almost each fiat is witnessing the same bitter reality but see the conditions for most strong currency in global trade context is also having the hyper inflation conditions due to government reckless printing of notes making the existing one's worthless.

Bitcoin is volatile is much better concept then fiat which is not volatile but only depletes in value over time.So choose your side wisely.

I think you didn't notice that. Bitcoin always go in the opposite way of the people aspects.
Sometimes it show the right way otherwise it go according to its style.

And the charts alwaya be the aspects and these are not the final decision.
My chart can be wrong because I am not perfect.
I always show that which I aspect. I Don't think that, what the people are thinking.

So I aspect that. If you think opposite so its on you.
And I think we never lose hope. BTC can go up anytime in any situation like in WW3 too. So I have the hope on every moment that the BTC will go up.

There are bundles of charts which are showing that btc will go down.
But always show that which give some hope. Thanks.
It is my point of view others may have different. Smiley

China's economy and speculative property scam is now imploding, just like ever other economy across the globe. These lockdowns are a cover story for worldwide economic destruction and mass layoffs, and to hide the massive amount of food shortages and other supply shortages going on there, and around the world right now.

Loved Breaking Bad.
The first couple of seasons of Better Call Saul however are literally worse than watching paint dry. I stopped watching after the asshole brother died, even if it that annoying character gone provided massive relieve it was still just irritating Jimmy couldn't move on straight away and just do something and make a success of something. I just couldn't watch another season of something that could have been done in one episode.

To me it felt they maybe had 10 minutes of material spread out over 50-60 minutes per episode. They only dropped a few carrots here and there to keep you watching, watching nothing of importance in essence. Why was it called Better Call Saul when he was never Saul in the first 3 seasons. Fucking insane and blatantly misleading.

Leave BB alone is my opinion. Almost everything that gets re-booted turns to shit.

Also couldn't believe how dumb Picard was (don't have Prime) until I saw 5 minutes of Q returning recently in a YouTube video. Patrick Stewart is well passed it. Ridiculous and it makes no sense for Q questioning Picard's decisions any further. What a joke.

Oh now let's use bitcoin price to get more followers and make it a giveaway. Sick

https://twitter.com/MartiniGuyYT/status/1513586457025425423

He probably calculated that he would get a very nice number of new followers and that it was worth $2500 - and it could be a win-win situation if the price hit $50k in a week. The only bad thing is that crypto scammers have already started the action with the fake Musk giveaways...

I have to interrupt all this trolling and wall observing and Proudhon proclaimating to tell a story.  A selfish one... but maybe one of you will feel a little of what I felt experiencing it.

I am taking my second and hopefully last day off from work for COVID recovery, which I can tell is wrapping up.  At least the hard bit, I think... Which really was not so bad after all.  Yet at the same time I can see it might leave a mark.  It's hard to imagine not being exhausted by the slightest things very quickly for a while.

So I log in to my work email for a sec and see my boss, a woman much younger than I, who I have known for several years, is about to have her second child!  A little early... but we all knew it could be any time.  And here we are.  Thing is her family has been WRACKED by illness over the last couple weeks.  She had a long respiratory illness (very like my own) which had her down for about 2 weeks over the VERY END of her pregnancy.  Then just a few days ago her firstborn got a stomach bug, and it was SO BAD and he became so dehydrated that they had to go to the hospital for him.  Got him stable and came home.  This is about the time one of her employees (me!) got Covid, but as much as that has been a central part of my life barely on the radar for her I imagine.  And then the husband got the stomach bug.  BAD.  And then just a couple days into all that... baby #2 decided it was time.

It seemed to me an awful lot for a mama to carry.  But at the same time - giving birth is a thing that will not only take it's own course entirely, but it will then erase all of the sting of the hardship endured on the way up to it.

So I found myself rejoicing for her.

And then in an odd moment I was caught up in a sort of vision.  I don't want to be dramatic. I suppose it was just my imagination fueled by cold meds and dehydration.  A dinner table, some 15 years in the future.  Where two teenage boys got to hear for the 20th time the story of how the week the little one came the big one was SO SICK, and so was dad.  And I could imagine the older one saying something sarcastic, and all four of them laughing.

None of us are here forever.  And THESE are the things we are here for.  My own children are the ages of those sons in my "vision".  And a am deeply proud of them. Though we are in the midst of very hard times, we too will laugh at the end of it all, I am sure.

Some day some virus like the one I am now overcoming will take me out (possibly with the help of my own DNA hacked to produce the damn spike proteins by either fools, or malicious people).  I will not have the strength to beat it that time.  And I hope, in the midst of that God will grant me another vision.  This time looking back over the years I was given, and the things I laughed about.  Drinking wine with my wife around a campfire while I hear my two small children alternately fighting and laughing in the camper...  supposed to be going to sleep.

It is easy to get caught up in work, or drama, or politics, or the bitcoin price.  And all these things are important.

But none of them hold a candle to what we were made for.  I guess I needed to remember this.

my theory is that ww3 is short-term bearish, long-term bullish
For whom or what? Bitcoin?

This being the bitcoin price movement tracking and discussion thread, that was my intention, yes.

Russia has gradually escalated the invasion of the Donbass to the point (estimated 3 to 5 thousand uniformed) where the Ukrainian government considers it an outright invasion.  European governments (except for Honnecker Merkel) agree. Europe has a backbone composed of over-cooked pasta, but they do remember Hitler, and the parallels to Putin are pervasive, profound, and indicative. I am wishing that I did not have so much New York travel planned, at this point:  A pre-emptive strike by Putin against the allied west is the likely end of any military escalation track.  I should acquire an off-shore life insurance policy in case my domestic one should prove unsuited to the circumstances of my death.

All of this, I consider bearish in the short-term, on risk-aversion, and bullish in the long-term on the fundamental technical capability of crypto to provide value storage and liquidity transfer when other systems break down.

Is this you or the Monkey talking? I do not agree tbh I do not see Putin=Hitler and I do not see a pre-emptive strike from Russia, certainly not a direct overt one.. jesus christ the implications of that are profound...  I can imagine a big bang somewhere.... followed by a game of whodunit... followed by more actions.... which could then lead to mayhem... but a direct overt attack , pre-emptive from Russia... phew... that is the stuff of nightmares... as it could not be a slight attack, it would have to be an end game attack, and well M.A.D comes to mind...  unthinkable... world as we know it done... dusted... game over, fuck Bitcoin if that happens...  unless it is so surgical that it would boggle the realms of what is possible..

Far more likely a catalyst is needed, or rather an instigation, and then what exactly would pre-emptive mean anymore? or do you propose that Ukraine is already that catalyst? or are you talking escalation of military build up from US in places like Poland etc antagonising Putin? and/or possible future NATO involvement?  kicking Russia out of G8 etc as ways of antagonising Putin into a pre-emptive attack?   or do you see a bit by bit escalation with "unintended" consequences? or do you really see Putin as having desires to rebuild the USSR, and as a force that needs to be stopped? as opposed to being antagonised into action?

(edit: yes I do not want to believe it could happen)

(edit: maybe I am blind though... I wonder what is your train of thought? do you really see it escalating to that point "absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event––like a new Pearl Harbor"  http://www.webcitation.org/5e3est5lT link to REBUILDING AMERICA’S DEFENSES Strategy, Forces and Resources For a New Century )

or should that be "absent some another catastrophic and catalyzing event––like a new Pearl Harbor 9/11" ?

my theory is that ww3 is short-term bearish, long-term bullish

Those were the days huh?

(talking of which where is aminorex these days?, still kicking?)
