Well we got the money back, insured as America didn't win their game. Big shame boo=) But what a EURO it's been for the favourites so far... only 2 upsets I can think of and they weren't that big. A bit lazy for tonight, wasted last night's parlays so another small outright.

100 units at Sportsbet on Slovakia to WIN vs Sweden @4.50. Other odds: 4.40

Italy has me worried, 2 games without yellow and they are playing very good. Hopefully they will rotate some players for the last much and one of them will be a little to eager and earn yellow card. I believe other teams will get at least that one yellow.
Well, I'm pretty sure that after today's matches we will be just as worried about the Netherlands and Belgium as we are worried about Italy, I would not like that, but it is likely. I'm not particularly worried about France, Spain and Denmark, since Denmark needs a lot of points, as a result of the game with her participation should be tense, (with France and Spain, everything is clear).

Every Team To Have A Yellow Card In The Group Stages

Group A: Turkey 🟨, Italy, Wales 🟨, Switzerland 🟨

Group B: Denmark, Finland 🟨, Belgium, Russia 🟨

Group C: Netherlands, Ukraine 🟨, Austria 🟨, North Macedonia 🟨

Group D: England 🟨, Croatia 🟨, Scotland, Czech Republic

Group E: Spain, Sweden 🟨, Poland 🟨, Slovakia 🟨

Group F: Hungary 🟨, Portugal 🟨, France, Germany 🟨

Ah, so I see morvillz and others have been keeping track of this too, and yep, definitely refs have been more... premier league if you want to say. Very relaxed with tackles and fouls, giving the foul but not trigger happy with the cards.

Yesterday's games were very productive, giving cards to Denmark, Belgium, and even a nice unnecessary Dutch foul to tick them off the box too.

Ordinarily not worried about Italy but yeah they have NOT been playing with any pressure at all, and the same for France who will feel they got the toughest game out of the way.

As it stands:
Czech, Spain, France, Italy are left, but let's hope we only need to wait on Italy after this week of Matchday 2 games!
7303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 17, 2021, 05:41:28 PM
Only 1-1 for Belgium until now. I really don't understand how they can be rank 1 for FIFA while their team suck and they never won anything at all.
The ranking system needs to change it is not possible that a team like France, winner of the last World cup is behind them.

De Bruyne is a god.

He is a god indeed and damn I did NOT know they were ranked 1st in FIFA... but coefficients generally do suck if you take it on a case by case basis. In this case the table does lie.

2-1 and yeah, everything is nice and dandy for me, as put Belgians in too many parlays for me, thinking the 2/1 odds were great!

Won't mind a couple more goals just to keep the group fullproof.
7304  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Brazen Prediction of the Future on: June 17, 2021, 03:56:14 PM
Hate to break it to you bud, but your future predictions are relatively tame. Nothing's brazen anymore once you've had ex US Presidential campaigners putting a $1M number on Bitcoin.... last year. He's sitting in Spanish jail now (that wasn't his reward of course) and since then not many have ventured into his territory.

A decade only before US dollar falls from global dominance you say?

And what about digital yuan set to make its mark in a couple of years?

Keep em coming. Deserves all my remaining merits for the Thursday entertainment.
7305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: June 17, 2021, 02:50:34 PM
I actually expected the Dutch game but happy I checked here, and happy birthday icopress =) I'll tell you where I am so you can come, all covid-certified and spill me my beers if this actually hits!

Ukraine keeping us alive and well with those goals (if only they converted the pen)... and like you, I'm slightly worried Italy won't get their yellow in their final game, so let's hope the Welsh give them a hard time eh? My other concern is also Denmark actually, if they're still down in the dumps, then it's going to be really, really tough to get a foul.

Teams yet to get yellows and games left:
- Italy, 1
- Netherlands, 2
- Denmark, 2
- Belgium, 2
- Scotland, 2
- Czech Republic, 2
- Spain, 2
- France, 2
7306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be the biggest bubble economy in history? on: June 17, 2021, 12:01:52 PM
Look at it in macro view. You will see better adoption and higher highs for yearly lowest price.

You live in a more progressive society than me. I literally this year alone was almost in a conversation where people were in agreement that Bitcoin was only used by money launderers and cocaine drug lords. They were not being funny, either. They were top-of-the-line highly-qualified finance people with decades of collective experience and education. I just shrugged and said "you're right".
7307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: June 17, 2021, 09:52:02 AM
There is a lot of us on that bet and I don't like that. Too much money in the mix and then something always goes wrong. Hopefully this time we will all cash in big bucks.

I had high hopes for that EURO promo Itally, Portugal, England, Belgium and Spain to win first matches and it was going so well and than Spain screwed us over. Good thing at least we got our stake back since all other choices managed to win.

It was only available for a short while, but yeah I think a lot of people took it. Definitely hoping we cash in big, but I actually only put in a freebet there, so not expecting anything and not losing anything. And yeah, so far so good for money backs. No losses yet on those, at this rate, goals scored and yellows, if we even hit ONE special I'll be very pleased.

Don't forget Bet Free 6-6 guys. New round starts tomorrow so get your picks in. I went for a LOT of goals =D
7308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: General Motors May Start Accepting Bitcoin If There's Customer Demand on: June 17, 2021, 08:39:20 AM
May be no one bought Tesla car with bitcoin. Bitcoin traders and investors don't have to buy a car with valuable cryptocurrencies . They are interested to hold bitcoin for longer periods.

My point, yup. People confuse Bitcoin speculators and investors with users. They're not all using, even maybe most aren't.

Probably the only ones tempted of those deals are guys who already made x100 on some serious investments, not just 10k-20k and are simply getting tired and bored of waiting till they end in a retirement house to enjoy life. Not that I see what GM could tent somebody for that purpose, except maybe a Stingray.

Yeah, only Bitcoin rich, those who do it just for the ego boost. Nothing wrong with that either, just that all these companies accepting Bitcoin doesn't mean much. A guy comes in with 10 BTC and wants to buy from a merch that doesn't accept it? They'll come to agreements for sure.

Just after posting the previous message, I read this one in my updated list:

Why would I pay for a cup of coffee with bitcoin when in a decade or two that same bitcoin would buy a computer... in that same amount of time that same amount of fiat that buys that coffee today would only buy half of it. No sir, use the fiat for the coffee and HODL onto the bitcoin. :-)

If one can't part with 10k satoshi I don't see a $70k purchase happening either.

There you go. Not enough people believe in using. And again, nothing wrong with that. It just means a lot of the adoption news we're getting pushed actually isn't meaningful.
7309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +62395 units on: June 17, 2021, 05:38:21 AM
Sigh. It wasn't so long ago I remember Turkey beating France in the WC qualifiers, and just not too long ago either Netherlands, and I'm thinking what good underdogs they are.

Apparently, not so good as slight favourites!

Anyway, more EURO favs and some tough home wins in Brasil?

7310  Economy / Speculation / Re: FUD-slingers saying 20K this weekend... on: June 16, 2021, 08:41:22 PM
Possible to #35k again, price swing negatively now, down from $40k to $38k now.

We are far from the weekend, but I wouldn't surprised to see after the FED meeting on Wednesday-Thursday (depending on your timezone).

But if I'm not mistaken, before the FED decision, all other traditional markets is flat so we will see what will be the net effect on a volatile market such as crypto.

My guess is nil nett effect at best, since we're expecting "good news" and further pressure downwards if the unexpected happens. So nope. Fed decision not gonna help in a positive way. And yeah, 40k resistance standing strong mid-month. Altcoins all doing their best to project bright outlooks on defi I can see but also not having much impact.

Far way from home, and we're deep in the woods right now. I'm enjoying it as much as possible, of course -D
7311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: General Motors May Start Accepting Bitcoin If There's Customer Demand on: June 16, 2021, 06:54:31 PM
If there's customer demand? Bitcoin holders there can't even demand to pay for pizza with Bitcoin. Everyone trying to stack their sats and refusing to use it. Why would they splash out more than 1btc on a car?

Come to think of it, how many Teslas were bought with Bitcoin when they supposedly accepted it?
7312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: June 16, 2021, 05:10:55 PM
Yeah, it was 4 points at 20 minutes, the average needed for 21 more or less. And then it slowly became more disorganised...

Tonight's a different affair hopefully and Italy should keep our spirits up after some low-scoring games over the past couple of days, right?

Because the Wales game also going quite slow.
7313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: June 16, 2021, 04:15:16 PM
I would like to see both those teams make it far in their groups but I took two different specials:
Portugal to win the Euros @14.00x and France to win Euros with some other things like who will win Wimbledon for the men's and women's and COPA finals.
It was the big berta special they had right before the tournament started at 300.00x odds so II just had to take the chance in it coming true.
At those odds why not? Cheesy

Same as me then haha. My first bet was actually for Netherlands, which I was thinking of backing anyway -- would rather lose 18/1 bet on them then betting Germany/Spain/France and wondering if all would lose.

But France/Brazil/Djoker/Barty for 300/1 was too good to pass. Judging on the form of 3 of those 4, I should be feeling pleased. But let's not invite for KO disaster to happen haha;)
7314  Economy / Speculation / Re: FUD-slingers saying 20K this weekend... on: June 16, 2021, 12:30:00 PM
Right so we're heading for the second weekend after this original prediction -- counting not counting -- and I don't see much on the horizon except a Fed decision later today on monetary policy.

But since we're all expecting more of the same, any decision actually against further stimulus could take us bwck down towards 35k hm?
7315  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io- Club House- The best EURO 2021 promotions around!!🚀 on: June 16, 2021, 09:30:06 AM
The Germany defenders control Mbappe good enough. He has some space to show off his speed but it does not help him to create too much threats on Germany. It can be from good works of all Germany players exclusively the defender and Germany defense system. And clearly it need luck too. With a dangerous speedy player like Mbappe, any mistake, any moment can be a decisive moment for a match.

Team can control him in 99% of the match time but only one moment, he will punish them with a key pass or a goal.

Generally France deserve to have a win and Pogba has a great match with one key pass and so many successful tackles.

Not the same match I saw and I think I'm being objective (only supporting France because of that 300/1 special where they must win haha). Mbappe turned Kimmich and Hummels inside out, got a goal ruled offside, fair enough, and the assist also gone for the 2nd goal that didn't count. He didn't have many touches, the lowest of all the teams, for sure, but he made them count, I'd say.

I doubt Germany will make the same mistake (playing Kimmich in defence). He was needed in midfield last night for sure.

Pogba also yes, reminded me of his Juve days, except perhaps towards the end where he got a bit careless but his passing and close control was a joy.

Hmm, it seems I didn't update my bet yesterday here, was a simple boosted parlay on Portugal/France at 42/10 but no worries, I'm just happy I won with tight games (despite flattering scoreline for Port).

Day before yesterday was NOT good, only 1 leg out of 4 hit!

Another boosted one for EURO today.

So, what do you think guys, France-Germany? None of the goals France scored counted, but they still won, so I booked the Portugal+France special =D

1st half didn't disappoint at all, in terms of quality, I'd say. Them French brought a lot of swagger, probably just about deserved their lead even if it was an own goal. And then it got nervy at both ends in 2nd half, but still I thought a lot of quality and energy from both sides. For the most part, I was satisfied.

That Mbappe offside is nonsense though, makes me hate that flag-up-later rule so annoying. All that wasted trickery and goal and then oh, I was offside. But that guy man, his speed, tormenter-in-chief. Deserved a goal and even got robbed of his assist. Boo VAR.

Anyway, 120 goal special looking tight after this, but thanks to Ronaldo and Hummels for keeping us treading water;)

P.S. Brazilians and their accas, definitely something in their water, would love to see one of them come in here to brag, bring some of that samba to the forum;) @lixer: not the same guy!

All great sites but I actually liked using Blockchair.com, real-time running updates -- never really checked accuracy but it's always worked well enough for me. Especially like the tx view also with running updates on pending txs and your estimated place in the queue.
7319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 15, 2021, 06:28:26 PM
Cristiano Ronaldo is now the all-time higher score in the EURO cup in the history.

Cristiano Ronaldo is now only at 3 goals at the all-time scorer with a national team in the history.

Not bad, not bad.

For a guy his age, definitely not bad. I felt he was slowing down his team most of this match though, but his second goal of the night, well worth keeping him on the field, can't say he hasn't still the killer's touch, and some icy cool dribbling to boot. Worthy opener for the next match, and I hope it lives up to its billing, as I've not really been entertained by the so-called favourites so far!
7320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a legal tender - The next ‘great filter’? on: June 15, 2021, 12:41:31 PM
Very positive news on recognition and acceptance levels, and don't get me wrong, I think it's pretty awesome too but they got to fix quite a bit over there. Adopted the US dollar as legal tender 20 years ago to try and revive the economy. Hasn't worked and still a source of political dispute even if the backlash has abated. Still not sure the precise reason for Bitcoin but if it serves only to provide assurance that it has a legal place there, good enough.

Can't help thinking it's actual adoption and use by people that needs to come first? No point having it legal if no one's using or spending it there.
