My source of investment funds is my current signature campaign. This where I get my monthly expenses too. I convert a percentage of it to buy some needs like food or to pay some bills and I hold some of the Bitcoin that I get. When I'm starting to earn here, I first joined in altcoin paying signature campaigns and what I get from it is what I use to buy some Bitcoin and other altcoins that I hold for long run.

First of all, US never banned crypto so what you said is already a false statement ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) . Regarding the price increase of Bitcoin, it is a no. If you will see the daily volume of Binance.us, it is very low and it is the same with Huobi US. Now what do you expect with it?? It will not affect the price of Bitcoin in the short run but maybe we can see a price increase if the daily volume of these exchanges will increase.

can the top altcoins can just disapere? In my opinion its a best time to but altcoins coz Panic sellers are selling?
They can just disappear if they are proved to scammed their investors and holders of their coin. I don't want to use a specific altcoin as an example but when the top altcoins are proven to scammed people then they can just disappear in an instant but most of the team of the top altcoins are known by many people, there is a chance that they will caught by authorities. But can Some coins just disapere? Or Go to Zero? I Think If market is Red its a Good time to buy!
Yeah it is a good time to buy but if it becomes a scam coin, there is no good to time to buy anymore but good time to sell only.

Wouldn't that create demand, and result in an increasing price for ETH? Is it safe to say it's being price suppressed? Or do I not understand how the platform works?
Take note that the supply of Ethereum is also infinite so that also affect the price of it. Last year, we are in the year of the correction. In 2017 it went up to ATH at $1300+ but now it's price is at $200. Because of the bear market that happened last year that is why it is below the actual value. I'm expecting that the rise of Ethereum will start next year when ETH 2.0 will be implemented.

How can you say that it is not profitable??
First of all, you didn't invest anything on it but only time and nothing more unless you invested on the bounty campaign you joined and become a scam then you can say that is not profitable. You can say that it is profitable when you got a reward and you sold it and you got money. On the other side, you can't say that it is not profitable if the token didn't have value because there is no money involved on it
|
|
|
As long as there is money involved, there are always scammers involved too. It is normal already in every industry that involves money.
In my opinion, it is not the scammers only who are to blame here but also the investors who are throwing away their money without doing a proper research and they are just investing because they got attracted with the sweet words of the investors. If there are no investors to be scammed, there are no scammers.

I'm just happy that more and more establishments are accepting Bitcoin in our countries. This is a proof that we are embracing the new currency that came to our country ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) . Even though the adoption of Bitcoin and crypto in our country is expanding, I know that there are many of our countrymen will be scammed with the use of Bitcoin because of lack of knowledge about it so aside from adoption, I think what we need is people who can spread information about Bitcoin even just the basics (how it works and how to transfer and how to store etc.)

I'm imagining what can happen after crypto. I remember the time where money has been invented and it took many years for it to be used world wide. In the ancient times, people are buying different things thru a note with trust that the note is worth X. I don't really care what can replace crypto in the future because at that time, I'm not around anymore but maybe a technology far more helpful and more complex than cryptographic currencies will replace it. We are in the infancy stage already and we are considered early adopters. Lets just focus on improving the current market and not focusing on the future (like around 100-200 years ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) ).

FOMO has always there already and it is on its peak last 2017 when it pushed the price of Bitcoin to $20,000 and the chances of it to happen again is increasing. It happened months ago when Bitcoin went to $14,000. I know many got FOMO'ed at that time and some of them are in a loss right now ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) . Well, anything that is based on the charts is considered a speculation but the chances of it to happen can be increased thru charts. Bitcoin to go up to $20,000 can happen before 2020 but maybe not. I think it is a 60-40 chance that it will happen ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) .

There are some users here who learned crypto thru different social medias like Twitter and Facebook etc. while some others thru reading books of different crypto enthusiasts. For me, I learned crypto here (basics) and more on Youtube. I often watch documentaries with regards to Bitcoin (uses of it and benefits to people and how it works etc.). There are many videos on youtube that can be watch and you can learn the basics of it and maybe the complex part too.

With this big companies accepting crypto, the adoption of it is slowly increasing. Japan is known when it comes to crypto and blockchain because they accepted it. With this news coming every time, the adoption is rising but it will be a long term process. Regarding the Bakkt, I don't want to expect too much of it in the short term since it has been created to increase awareness to other people. In the long term it will help but don't expect that Bitcoin will rise and pump in short term.

Its hard to tell because we don't have enough statistical data that can help us know whether a gambler is becoming rich or poor.
I will share mine base of the experience from different gamblers. I think most of them are becoming poor because of some bad traits that they have when gambling like lack of self control, overconfident, lack of patience etc. Maybe there are some who are becoming rich on it but they are just not sharing it to public for some reasons but most are becoming poor in my opinion.

Personally, I see absolutely no reason to use it, especially that there are older and more reputable platforms out there.
But what about young projects on the market? After all, they also have the right to life? competition will always be high Take note that the market is like "Survival of the fittest" where the strongest projects will remain and those weak will be dead in a few years and will be a shitcoin. New projects are always welcome but don't expect that there will be many investors of that project especially right now that there are more better platforms to use out there. Competition is always be high so what the developers must do is to create a coin that is unique and will be helpful to the investors.

As per the latest news, XRP has increased 17.16% Overnight in the last 24 hours to touch $0.30. Next the XRP may touch up to $0.33. With this drastic increase, the price of XRP may increase even more and continue to grow. I think Ripple is still a potential coin for long term investments. It will sustain its growth and continue to recover. Not only XRP but most of the top altcoins did pumped in the last few hours but at this moment, they are now consolidating alongside with Bitcoin and if I'm not mistaken Bitcoin reached below $10,000 a while ago. The fact that the main goal of Ripple isn't yet succeeded which is to be used in Banks and most of them are holding XRP, I can't consider Ripple as a coin to hold for the long term for me.

I will share my opinion from both sides since I see good and bad things regarding this. Bad: This can affect the price of Bitcoin since it is being used in bad things but... Bitcoin is being used in the black market already and some of the terrorists are using it too. Its just they are not publicizing it unlike this situation?? Good: More buyers = higher price ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) . Simple as that

Many here are investing because of profit and the belief that it will give huge profit in the future and I agree with them but aside from that there is one reason why people are really investing in Bitcoin and that is because people wants the monetary system to be decentralized. That there is no third party to be involved when they are transferring their funds from Person A to Person B.
Inflation is always affecting the current monetary system worldwide and because of this, the power of fiat money is slowly withering so we need Bitcoin to be use worldwide since it is deflationary.

The scammers are choosing Philippines as place to scam investors because people here are easy to get scammed because of lack of knowledge and the want to get profit in a quick way.
Well at least they got arrested but I believe that more scams like this will occur in the future. What Philippinian Bros need is a seminar about cryptocurrency or even the basics of Bitcoin and how not to get scammed by these scammers.

How can enjoy something that you know you will lose? Is losing money really enjoyable? Isn't there any other entertainment you can enjoy? ~ Gambling cannot be just for fun.
This is where the mindset of gamblers comes to work. Before going to gamble, they must set their mind that if they will lose they will either not become disappointed or just forget about it and move on immediately. Many are saying that they are happy when they are gambling but deep inside I know some of them are regretful because of what they did. Losing money isn't enjoyable but for some it is not important for them as long as they are happy gambling.
