7321  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Deathblow BTC transaction fees almost lost my whole stack! on: February 12, 2021, 04:48:04 PM
Your input is too high is the reason for the high transaction fee, all you need to do now is to consolidate. Hope the electrum is on computer because mobile electrum wallet can not customize (edit) the fee and the mempool is congested. To consolidate your input, send all the bitcoin to one address on your electrum wallet, set the fee to 5 satoshi/vbyte or lower. The mempool is congested for now, but likely it will be less congested this weekend, the transaction will be successful later ones the mempool is not congested. After, you will be able to send using normal fee as expected.
7322  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: ledger nano x on: February 12, 2021, 11:10:53 AM
You can only import one backup. And if you like to newly generate new seed phrase for Ledger Nano X, then just newly generate the seed phrase on Ledger Nano X, and send the coins from the two Ledger Nano S into two different addresses that will be generated from the Ledger Nano X (you can send the two fund to one address, but using another address will be better for privacy). Or, better import one see phrase and send the coin one the other Ledger Nano S.
7323  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: SafePal resellers on: February 12, 2021, 10:36:15 AM
So I was wondering... Does anyone here know some reputable online resellers that I could order from?
So far it is not allowed in your country, I do not know if it can be shipped but I saw it now on Amazon.

You can only pre-order it now on official website because they sold everything after CZ hired a bunch of shillers to write about it on Twitter, Telegram and everywhere else.
Try to contact them directly with email, or check out this page and see their Amazon sellers and global resellers:
https://docs.safepal.io/safepal-hardware-wallet/orders/buy-a-safepal-wallet

Just keep in mind that Safepal is closed source and there are some negative sides compared with other hardware wallets:
...
I would have liked this wallet if it has open source code, but as it is backed by Binance, I know it can never be open source, and it is never open source, so does trust wallet which is close sources owned by Binance. The wallet make use of QR code to sign transactions is the only reason I can like it, no bluetooth, no WiFi or any other connection enabled, but it is close source and not advisable for use.

All the cons listed also makes it not to be a recommendable hardware wallet.
7324  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: RBF feature on 4.0.2? on: February 12, 2021, 10:19:18 AM
Okay, got it!
Thank you for your replies.

PS: On your experience, how long does it take to get confirmed my tx as it is now? I can wait, but if it needs weeks I'm going to set an higher fee.
It depends, if you did not use RBF or if you use RBF, what matters is the fee you are paying and the fee require for your transaction to get confirmed earlier. You can decide to increase the fee is not confirmed, and if not confirmed, you can still slightly increase the fee. You can make use of fee estimator to determine when your transaction will be confirmed. But, it will be better to wait first until weekend is over, mempool are most likely less congested during weekends which can make your transaction confirmed possibly.
7325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: My Transaction Stuck already 4th Day - Please Help. on: February 12, 2021, 09:23:53 AM
<...>
With what I have just checked, TheFoolIsBack made a transaction from a legacy address with 2 inputs to pay for goods, he paid to two addresses. No any bitcoin went back to his address, the reason I noticed this is that, TheFoolIsBack used legacy address but the two address paid to are bech32 addresses.

And how can I Recover this Transaction if ViaBTC will not proceed my Transaction because of low amount?
Is there another Option?
Is here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5034315.0 use the same Method with ViaBTC or other (should I post also there my Transaction ID)?

Now I lost again my Hope Sad

You do not lose anything, you only just have to be patient for the mempool to be less congested, your transaction will be confirmed likely during this weekend if mempool become less congested. Even, if not confirmed within 14 days, the Bitcoin will be dropped from the mempool back into your wallet.
7326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: My Transaction Stuck already 4th Day - Please Help. on: February 12, 2021, 08:28:18 AM
Regarding to my Transactions in Future what should I do? Always set the Maximum Fee? (is this not stupid?)
till now every time worked Regular Fee Smiley
You can try to make use of fee estimators and compare it with your wallet fee estimator, you will be able to know the fee you can pay that will include your transaction into a block fast. But, there are times the fee can be very high, this depends on the mempool. I do notice on weekend fee of 5 satoshi/vbyte (that does not mean though, depending on the mempool), but this is increased during week days, but what is causing it is when people are making much of transaction, in which there are a lot of transaction on the mempool, miners will first take up the ones with high fee, that is why the ones with low fee will not confirmed during the time. So, the fee depends on the mempool.

Yesterday just enabled on my BRD Wallet the SegWit Option...
Paying from segwit to segwit address do have a low fee, there was a fee I checked yesterday on fee estimator, comparing segwit to legacy, the fee for legacy was about $8 while the fee for segwit was about $6. Using segwit will let you pay lower fee of up to 40% lower or more reduction. Also using segwit to pay to nested segwit and legacy is still higher in fee compared to paying from segwit to segwit. But, paying from legacy to legacy is much higher, in fact, it has the highest fee. So, using segwit will help you reduce the fee.

Is this would Help me in Future for my Transactions not to stuck?
Using segwit will make your transaction fee to be reduced as explained above, but there are still possibilities you pay much lower fee in which transaction can be stuck in mempool. But, having the knowledge about fee estimation can help, also your wallet fee estimator or online fee estimators can help to determine this. Also, paying high priority fee will make your transaction confirmed in time.

Lastly, I will advice you to make use of wallet that support replace-by-fee, which can be used to pump the fee in time like this, provided if you want to. Electrum wallet supoot replace-by-fee.
7327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: My Transaction Stuck already 4th Day - Please Help. on: February 12, 2021, 07:54:19 AM
The transaction fee used is 20.552 sat/vbyte, but at the moment, the transaction fee that can possibly make miner to put your transaction into next block is around 102 Satoshi/vbyte. Also, the mempool is congested for now. The transaction is not replace-by-fee supported, which means you can not also pump the transaction. Also the transaction likely not having UTXO back into your wallet. Which means you have no option than to just wait for the mempool to be less congested, the mempool will probably be less congested during this weekend.
7328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Imported wallet and all asset is gone...please help on: February 12, 2021, 07:39:37 AM
So your mnemonic phrase must be for your BNB wallet then. Or is it one seed for all cryptocurrencies in your wallet? Please clarify this.
With what I have just checked recently, the mnemonic to TokenSwap wallet is a BIP39 seed phrase, I also install, delete and reinstalled the wallet. When I install it at first, I copied down the seed phrase, the Bitcoin address and the ethereum address generated. I found out that the mnemonic is BIP39, then I deleted and reinstalled back the wallet. The wallet regenerated me the same Bitcoin and Ethereum addresses also.

There is export private key and keystore option. Im learning the hard way I shouldve save them before uninstalling the app..
You do not need any export key for this, so far you have your seed phrase to the wallet. I tested it for Bitcoin and Ethereum, it has the same derivation path to your addresses. I couldn't find the option for binance coin but the derivation path will also be the same. That aside, also you restored the seed phrase on the same wallet which is TokenSwap, which should not be a problem, there is nothing wrong with your wallet. If you used the right seed phrase, it will generate all other seeds, private keys and addresses needed.  The addresses that store your funds will also be generated along.
7329  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Desktop Wallet on: February 11, 2021, 11:00:49 PM
The vulnerabilities of the portable and non-portable versions are the same. If the computer is compromised, either of them is vulnerable unless they connect to the hardware wallet.  In the latter case the transactions safety is in your hands. IMO, if you check every details of transactions to be signed by HW they’re not in any danger.
Having a wallet file on flash drive is another risk, that is why portable should not be recommended so that people that think it has advantage should also know it has disadvantage. In my opinion, downloading it directly on computer is the best, it takes less than 40 megabyte to download. Encouraging the use of a wallet on another computer is making it not advisable in its entirety.
7330  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Group Of Newbies Traders Cant Move The crypto market on: February 11, 2021, 10:52:15 PM
When it comes to trading the financial markets i dont agree with the saying "2 heads is better than 1"
You can actually gain from a friend or from someone that have experience, but you yourself is not complete if you do not know the A to Z of trading.

That's is because in the crypto markets a thousand people can perform analysis together and collectively decide to pump or dump a coin and the trade will still go against them..
That is called manipulation. There are many people that have gained through pump and dump, but they are scammers.

This happens a lot, time and time again, that is why its better to always seek first the knowledge of trading, that will take you much further than collectively deciding to pump or dump a coin as newbies
You are right, traders needs to know about how to trade, and also have the full experience. But, not new traders are pumping and dumping coins, it is part of scam means of having the larger gain while investors (especially the late investors) will lose.

That is why we should go for cryptocurrencies  like bitcoin that is not subjected to pumping and dumping.

Itis not actually BIP39 seed phrase, like I read on a post on this forum that it is called Wallet Recovery Mnemonic, this was specifically designed for blockchain.info at the time before the creation of BIP39 seed phrase on the site.

There are two likely options that can be used to recover back this. The first is the Wallet Recovery Mnemonic while the second is through aes.json file backup.

BitMaxz link can be helpful
Have you accidentally visited and tried this page of blockchain for its legacy wallet recovery https://login.blockchain.com/wallet/forgot-password. I'm sure it would help.

[edit] Seems you have a weird numbers there, can you tell us if what is the numbers of your recovery seed exactly?

Or
Patatas is right, what you need is their aes.json file as the keys lie there.

If found, import them here: https://login.blockchain.com/wallet/import-wallet
Then the recovery phrase comes into play if you don't know the password. You can use the link on the first post for that, but I see that there was an error??? errr... hmmm I guess let's worry about it after you find the files.
7333  Economy / Reputation / Re: Trust System on: February 11, 2021, 09:30:22 PM
I saw a lot of of tags from DT members with feedbacks like "Idiot" "Mentally sick" "Shitty person" "Meritted a scammer" e.t.c. I checked that profiles and found nothing that was related to any type of scam. So my question is if it is allowed to tag a person just because you don't like him?
It is wrong, and not advisable. Red tags are for people that are obviously scammers or encouraging scammers, or that did anything wrong to cheat on this forum.

Also I would like to to know why obvious scam threads were not closed before they scammed out millions of dollars out of the gullible people's pockets?
Check the quote below. But, the negative feedback is enough to avoid such users.

19. Possible (or real) scams and Trust ratings are not moderated (to prevent moderation abuse).

So closing the scam threads on early stages or forcing suspicious projects to escrow investments can save a lot of people a lot of money and maybe someone's life as well. Please let me know what do you think about this and sorry for my bad english (I'm Russian)
Your English is good. If an ICO is noticed to be scam, there are a lot of users that will red tag the company's user account on this forum and also the reason can be seen in the feedback which is enough for us to know to back off such projects. But, some might not be detected early.

Bitcoin has made the Naira almost useless, says Nigerian Senator

See some senators comments below:

Quote
For Senator Musa, Bitcoin (BTC) and not mounting foreign debt, decades of poor economic policies, and corruption are to blame for the naira’s decline. Meanwhile, Bitcoin adoption has been on the rise in the country amid questionable monetary policies adopted by the CBN.

Other senators who made their voices heard during the plenary session argued against the CBN ban. According to Sen. Biodun Olujimi of the Ekiti South Constituency, the goal of crypto regulation in Nigeria should be focused on preventing its use by rogue actors, adding:

“We didn’t create Cryptocurrency and so we cannot kill it and cannot also refuse to ensure it works for us. These children are doing great business with it and they are getting results and Nigeria cannot immune itself from this sort of business.”
The Nigerian Senate has resolved to invite the CBN governor to a hearing before the appropriate committees to discuss issues related to future crypto regulations in the country.

Please, Bitcoin makes Naira useless? Or lack of capable leaders?
7335  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Unable to access Ledger BTC wallet from Magnum Wallet on: February 11, 2021, 08:15:24 PM
I previously accessed my Ledger BTC wallet through the Magnum wallet (https://github.com/magnumwallet), but Magnum has recently shut down and now I can't find the address on my Ledger.
I will not recommend such wallet to be used as an extension of a hardware wallet. If truly magnum wallet is used as your ledger nano extension, that does not mean it is not the ledger nano that generate the seed phrase, private key and addresses. All are generated by the ledger nano. Which means, if truly you have your bitcoin on ledger nano, the Bitcoin is still then on your ledger nano wallet, and can be easily accessed using electrum wallet.

I have the public key which shows that the BTC is still there. It's a Legacy (P2PKH) wallet and according to Magnum the derivation path is: 44'/0'/0'/0/0
The derivation path suppose to be m/44'/0'/0'/0/0, and I suspect that you are mixing things up. Is the Bitcoin truly on ledger nano or magnum wallet? I am suspecting you created a magnum wallet, generated seed phrase and the keys. You need to let us know where you generated the seed phrase. Is it on magnum wallet or you used magnum wallet as an extension to ledger nano?

I've tried connecting my Ledger to Electrum but I'm not seeing the address there. Was wondering if anyone else has run into this issue or has any ideas on how I can access my BTC?
Like I have commented before, likely you generated seed phrase on magnum wallet, not using magnum wallet as an extension of ledger nano. If so, all you will need to do is to first check if the seed phrase from magnum wallet is BIP39 using iamcoleman tool, if it support it, then you can import the seed phrase on electrum desktop wallet, it should work successfully. Electrum wallet also support importing master private key and private key. If you truly used it as a wallet extension of ledger nano, then it will work on electrum and your bitcoin will be on the ledger nano balance.

For bitcoin storage, I will not suggest you such wallet, using reputed ones like electrum and mycelium are better. Even as an extension of hardware wallet, I will recommend electrum desktop wallet.
7336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Which Bitcoin wallet is Best? on: February 11, 2021, 06:56:19 PM
which other bitcoin wallet is best? and which one you are using?
I will strongly discourage any close source wallet, it will be best to go for open source wallet that its code is available for the public to see. Althought, there is just one exception which is not completely close source, the Ledger Nano.

Hardware wallet
1. Trezor model one
2. Trezor model T
3. Ledger Nano X
4. Ledger Nano S
5. Coldcard (but more complicated to use)

Online wallets
1. Mycelium mobile wallet
2. Electrum desktop wallet

LoyceV has pointed out a very useful site that you can use to suggest a good wallet for you, but I will advice you to make sure the wallets are not close source. Also, never go for custodial wallet, not your key not your coin.
7337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction still unconfirmed after 3 days on: February 11, 2021, 06:37:27 PM
This is the fee I paid for the transaction.  0.0007164 BTC  ( 31.4 sat/byte )
Yes, I can replace my fee.
When I change the value, Electrum gives me a new one, like 41.1 sat/byte. I just confirm but nothing happens. Do I need to change the option to Mempool, ETM (which is set as default) or Static?
I will suggest you to wait, it is likely the mempool will be less congested during the weekend, we are almost in the weekend now. Very possible the transaction fee can be even far lesser than $41 satoshi/ vbytes. With what I see here, the transaction fee that will make your transaction confirmed in time is high, but the mempool will be decongested during weekend likely, this is just an advice. So far it is your wallet, nothing will happen, only you can cancel or replace the transaction, which means your Bitcoin is safe. But, if you still need your Bitcoin to be gotten confirmed in time, you will need to pay like $6, but wait for the mempool to be decongested rather than paying high fee.

You can try to accelerate it using free acceleratator like ViaBTC, but likely might not work or your transaction might be rejected, but you can still try it to see if it will work.

7338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction still unconfirmed after 3 days on: February 11, 2021, 05:17:38 PM
You should be able to increase the fee of your transaction by right-clicking on it in the "History" tab and selecting "Bump fee". Keep in mind that the extra fee will be deducted either from your change output or directly from the amount you sent if you don't have any change. If you are running the latest version of Electrum then you should also see "Cancel tx" option which will automatically double-spend the transaction back to you with a much higher fee. The first option will be probably better in your case. What fee does your transaction pay?
I think providing the transaction hash (txid) will be appropriate, or Sauaba should track the transaction on blockchain explorer, because if the transaction is not supporting replace-by-fee, he will not be able to neither cancel the transaction not pump the fee. Or, maybe his wallet has UTXO from the transaction which he can be used to perform CPFP.
7339  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best bitcoin wallets on 2021 [Andriod] on: February 11, 2021, 03:03:20 PM
As long as you also warn people that Coinomi is a 100% closed source wallet that has been acting shady in the past and we don't know what they do to the users' mnemonics and other information even today.
Also on the lists are some other close source wallets. Like Trust, Exodus and including the Coinomi. Yes, it is highly not recommended to use close source wallets as their source code is not available to the public, we do not know what vulnerabilities running under while using them.

That's just because Electrum has far more users than any other wallet, so there are a lot more targets.
I see this point highly valid. Also because the source code is not closed one, if it is available to the public to develop but the bad people will use the means to steal it, that is why close source wallets are not having so many fakes like open source, but close source is not still recommended which makes your point valid, because hackers like what most people are using, to be able to put malacious codes into theirs and steal Bitcoin from users.

But, there is one thing for certain, to know the fake ones is not hard, while it is recommended to only download electrum from electrum official site.
7340  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain info RBF on: February 11, 2021, 02:17:47 PM
<...>
Transactions sent on blockchain.info wallet do not support RBF. Which means, the transaction can not be cancelled, and neither can it be reversed. Try to use electrum, you can turn on the RBF for cases like this, provided if the transaction has not been confirmed, because if the transaction is confirmed, even RBF will not be able to reverse it into your wallet.
