Maybe OP owns alt high-rank account and he makes a new account just to ask this error from here.

OR these guys are now creating alt accounts, asking questions they already know the answer to AKA useless questions that doesn't benefit the forum in any way. I know this is just a hypothesis but looking at newly created accounts, the kind of questions they're asking and those responding I can't help it but think they're just paying games. Another example can be seen here Doing bounty worth it?

OP this forum isn't related to yobit and we can't offer assistance to someone willing to receive payment to spam the forum. Go ask yobit for help.
7342  Economy / Reputation / Re: [FABLE] The Resurrection of YoBit on: April 20, 2019, 06:04:02 AM
For me everyone wearing the signature should be tagged for supporting a scam exchange after warnings must have been sent to current participants through PM, informing them to remove signature but they refuse.
Not now. It should happen only when scam accusation on Yobit demonstrated that the Yobit exchange is truly a scam one. Maybe it is likely a scam one, but who knows.

More like you saying, ok lets all watch bitcoincash try success lets not call it a shitcoin until it demonstrate some quality of a shitcoin lol. The community have to learn that coming together and taking a decision as a community will send these scammers a strong message that, "the community is strong and will always unite to make a decision". but all they see are disagreement, greediness etc in the community that's why they take advantage of these weakness. Just because the exchange haven't scam others doesn't mean it isn't a scam exchange, their actions reported by numerous users speak for them and instead of them clearing the air on these accusations what do they do, they stay mute most time not even responding to a support ticket, email or tweet.

These guys don't have the best interest of the forum at hand and the best thing the forum can do is try to discourage her members from associating with the exchange. Don't forget the more (reputed) well known higher rank users wear their signature the more confident people think of giving this exchange a chance as clearly if you're smart you can make some money off the trading of shitcoins listed on the platform but this shouldn't be encouraged, it causes more damage than good. Posting of 20 meaningful post per day isn't hard I can do that but no matter how constructive I try to be that'll just be spamming. It won't be healthy to the forum making 170 posts weekly irrespective of how constructive you try to be.
7343  Economy / Reputation / Re: [FABLE] The Resurrection of YoBit on: April 20, 2019, 12:44:04 AM
My big question here is since there are quite a few scam accusations against them, no official account is really active, and they're gonna allow spammers to go nuts what is everyone's opinion of joining the campaign?

For me everyone wearing the signature should be tagged for supporting a scam exchange after warnings must have been sent to current participants through PM, informing them to remove signature but they refuse. I mean is no longer a news on how yobit scam her customers and with all the scam accusation they have on the forum, the exchange is not worth promoting.

Clearly the exchange doesn't have the best interest of the forum at hand and anyone supporting them doesn't too. I get it they didn't mean for everyone to make 20 post per day (it was just a maximum pay limit) but when a limit is set naturally participants tends to meet that limit that's everyone will be targeting a post count of 20 per day that's 170 per week. Which will be taking us backwards in regards to eliminating spam on the forum. I suggested something earlier I know it's not the best but;

Are they paying red tagged users also? If no then tagging every user seen wearing the signature and majority of their post are just off topic or spam can reduce their effect on the forum. I don't have a problem with getting paid for quality contribution but to me any user accepting a payment to spam forum doesn't value the forum and can't be trusted.

Read the number one Benefits of promoting a quality paid signature campaign. these guys need to make at least 100post to receive something reasonable. PASS

PS: I know the trust system wasn't meant for spam but if this can solve the problem for the meantime while we search for better solution then I feel it's ok. Reporting to moderator can't be a permanent solution (that'll create more workload) maybe banning or removing the privilege to wear signature on account caught abusing the campaign could work.

Since you're interested in mining, a great thread to start your journey will be this thread; First time/Small miner reference for getting started. and for online article: Everything you need to know about Bitcoin mining that's if you're interested in bitcoin mining.

For Mining (Altcoins) visit board or read through this Overview of how to mine cryptocurrency (mostly Altcoins).

As for cryptocurrency in general, just hangout more on this forum, read through previous and future discussion on the right boards with some additional off forum article and you will increase your knowledge of the technology.

Welcome buddy.
7346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is there a way to stop an unconfirmed transaction on: April 19, 2019, 07:09:15 PM
Guessing the electrum wallet you're referring to is the app (Android) wallet, which in that case you can't double spend with higher fee from the wallet but if you're fast enough you can use some other wallet or software that supports that feature.

For software I found this thread: Automatic Double-Spending tool "for Dummies" - recover your stuck transactions

OP of thread is still very active, you can contact for directions on how to use software.

OP, may be we go begin track those people we suspect to be our Naija peeps and send them pms so they can know what we are doing on this thread. Abi how you want am?

Good idea you're free to do so but no force anybody, as I go like make this thread dey spam free and avoid people creating alt account so we noticed them as our brothers and start begging us for merit {I have been getting dat alot}. The main reason I do dat signature campaign dat period na to attract our brothers. the traget na Africa as a whole as only Nigeria no go fit get voice to demand for a board.
7348  Economy / Reputation / Re: proof trusted users are gaming this forum on: April 19, 2019, 05:03:05 PM
You know what I found interesting about your post, you used the word "trusted members" repeating that's to say even you as a person knows they're trusted unlike other noise makers that come complaining and use all the abusive words they can find. As you know they're trusted do you think they'll put that trust into doubt by doing those act you claim they're doing. Assuming you're not an alt, answer that individually then you'll know there's a legit reason for your red tagged.
7349  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Life boils down to four bottles. on: April 19, 2019, 11:12:04 AM
picture 1 isnt certain where you have exclusive breast-feeding by mothers like we do in Africa. This isn't entirely true.

Well every research always have some exceptions, certainly the mothers of this generation are turning into bottle feeding their kids instead of breast feeding them. You can also find this in most Africa countries too. Some give reasons, they don't want their breast to loose it's shape. that's why even World Health Organization [WHO] is spreading the news about importants of breasting children for at least six months. In every 10 infants it'll be save to say 70% of fhem were feed through bottle.

Definitely, there are people here whose only source of income is this forum and they are making a kill out of it. How do you explain someone making over 70 meaningful and constructive posts a week if they aren't solely dependent on BTT? You can't have such ample time if you have other engagements

Depends on what you call constructive, a construction post doesn't have to be like a medium article, 2-4lines posts (Android mobile view) can still be classified as constructive post if you know what you're saying. Beside we have numerous boards on the forum and if you're that passionate (especially towards bitcoin discussions) you can deliver such numbers of post in less than a week.  Visit this boards Bitcoin Technical Support or Development & Technical Discussion you'll find users engaging in construction post having 3-5 reply on a particular thread and all are meaningful as well as providing solutions to problems. I just enjoy reading through threads there.
7351  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] Add rank requirement to be on DT2 as well on: April 19, 2019, 06:23:46 AM
I'm not in support; Reason: The criteria for you to be a DT member irrespective of the level should be based on trust and nothing else. Putting a rank status criteria will restrict well deserving members who don't have the required merit to rank up as not everyone is interested in ranking up e.g ICOethics. These individuals are interested in combating the scam ICO's etc on the forum. so if they have earn the trust of DT1 member then they deserve to be ranked higher (DT2) and beside irrespective of the measure the forum puts in place those who want to abuse the system will still do so (99% of the time, they'll be catch though). Also giving only higher rank member the privilege to be in DT 2 will make the busting of those abusing the system through alt even much harder.

Edited: earning of 10merit isn't that difficult compared to the rest ranks. A user that have the member rank status if proven worthy can take on any role on the forum even merit source or moderator (my opinion).
7352  Other / Meta / Re: How Many Years on Bitcointalk? Take the Poll! on: April 19, 2019, 03:21:07 AM
I have told my story already a few times, now i'm only a active member from July 2017 and the way I entered the forum is kind of strange.

Thanks for sharing, I also joined forum in July 2017 but in my case I wasn't not introduced by anyone so I lacked direction. I was lost on the forum, i didn't know where to associate myself, I only commented on project I found interesting and wanted to invest in, most of my comments were considered spam but then I didn't know until I was informed and had to clean my account and became more active in the forum starting August 2018 so I can say as a result of online registration I'm almost 2years old on forum but actively almost a year old and it has been a nice journey so far.
7353  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you use "report" button during posting ? on: April 19, 2019, 02:50:03 AM
I don't use the report button for every situation. At first I normally comment on the thread informing the OP to move the thread to the right board and if the thread creator is a newbie I give directions on how to do so and when it's a less important thread and also if i was the first user to reply to the thread I suggest this to OP [Untick the box for less important moved topics] and after sometime if i check the thread and it has been moved I delete my reply (that's if I didn't contribute to the thread in question but when I do contribute, I edit my thread to remove my moving suggestion] although there are some post I don't hesitate to report to moderators to be moved the moment I see them especially those coming from the new sockpuppets. {I have reported many to be moved to reputation board and they have all been marked as good report].
7354  Other / Meta / Re: Does anyone here make a living off the forums? on: April 18, 2019, 11:18:15 AM
Can you please provide some of your very best posts here for perusal.

He doesn't have to prove anything to anyone or you. His record says it all. With the merit system it'll be hard for any spammer to make it pass the member rank status. You don't have to be an extraordinary poster to recieve some merit, instead of hating on those that are receiving merit they deserve maybe if you take you time to read through their post history, you'll learn one or two on producing quality post. If you have gone through his post history and can't find a quality post then you need some help. The problem is from you not him.
7355  Other / Meta / Re: Random merit giveaway threads. What do you think about them? on: April 18, 2019, 10:22:01 AM
I'm Already keeping an updated merit giveaway thread, if you can't find any current giveaway on the thread that means I don't find that giveaway to have any quality or benefits the participants.  other reasons could be because I suspect the OP to have other intention (like you have mentioned). The thread was previously on beginner and help board but i have move it to off topic as numerous giveways were beginning to pop-up on B&H board and now becoming a spammy trend.  I saw no need for an update to be on the same board as the threads themselves.

PS: if you find any giveways thread that you feel doesn't meet the forum standard (rewarding only deserving members), just use the report button and they'll either be deleted or moved off beginner and help board.
7356  Other / Beginners & Help / [Advice] Don't associate yourself with projects you're not a team member. on: April 18, 2019, 06:03:35 AM
Newbies are just too quick to associate themselves with project they have no idea how they're been operated. A quick surf through the forum & you will see numerous advertisment thread created by newbie and other "not experience"  forum members associating themselves with project they're not a team member or have no idea how that project is operated. The DT system have some precaution measure they employed to help combat potential scam before it happens and one of those measure is tagging any account associating themselves with a potential scam or already proven scam projects.

Here's an example: Why am I bringing this to this board, I want it to serve as a warning to you guys always starting a thread without researching on the project. Don't associate yourself with a project you have no idea how it's been operated, the moment you do, your account serve as a representative of that project on forum and if it turns out to be a scam or offering unrealistic price you get tagged as your started thread served as an advertisement (somehow announcement thread) to the forum. Be warned, keep your account red tagged free, don't try this on forum.!!!
7357  Other / Meta / Re: Is it possible to remove old animated avatars? on: April 17, 2019, 08:13:47 PM
Just like the low ranked users (newbies - members) that were wearing avatar before the implementation of wearing of avatar to only Full member ranked users above, wearing an animated image will remain a privilege to the users who were wearing one before the restriction from theymos.

You can do this though, check your profile settings [follow this steps] the disactivating avatar option is just above disactivating signature option. Although this option will disactivate all avatar.

Looking for some alternatives. Smiley

Using of scripts might work, it works for signature so you should indicate this in your OP (someone might create one) because don't think theymos will grant your request.

7359  Economy / Reputation / Re: unjustified rating from Vod on: April 17, 2019, 05:38:51 PM
This will serve as a warning both for you and others, you don't just go associating yourself with projects you don't have any association with. What was your position or what did you stand to earn by creating a "some how" announcement or advertising thread for the project when you have no associated to the project as you claim. If a user associate their account with scam like projects either through announcement (advertisment thread) or other advertisment medium they get tagged.

Your tagged will only be removed when the project prove they have that amount of fund before now (tagged date). These procedure are put in place to prevent scam before it happens.
7360  Other / Meta / Re: [Request] Add Another Pinned Message on: April 17, 2019, 05:06:03 PM
You guys don't get it, not all newbies are lazy beside the search button doesn't give that much of an accurate result especially when you don't know the specific words to use. A user complained about him not been able to find a post he once saw even though he use the search button both on and off forum.

The idea is a great one and I support it, not just because it'll be helpful both for newbie and older members but because it'll always be kept up-to-date unlike others that are outdated like the "how to bitcoin thread".
