7341  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance going to delisted BitcoinSV on: April 16, 2019, 04:57:17 AM
I'm glad it'll finally happen. The debate have been going on for some time on twitter and it's a welcome development knowing the community is comings together to make a decision that'll not only benefit bitcoin but the community as a whole. My Twitter feed is just filled with update of BitcoinSV getting delisted. We have gotten rid of one pf those bad egg maybe BCH will be next.

With this act, those greedy, selfish so called influencer supporting forking bitcoin every then and now will get the message the community is sending. The community owns the power. It'll be fun to watch if all exchange starts delisting and not waiting untill a heavy decline of price before delisting.

Coin telegraph is not the most shitty crypto website but this news don't seem trustworthy.
<***>
I guess that if nigerians really had that much coins they would probably leave this country and find a better place to live.

Nigerians do own that amount of bitcoin but since buhari's government, let's just say Central Bank of Nigeria don't approve of the technology (currency) most people hide their wealth and don't declare their hodlings openly like the westerners do. that's why they trust their fund to this centralized exchanges and most times they get scammed or get extorted in regards to high fees or through suspending their funds. In my thread The used of Bitcoin in Africa Nigeria is ranked NO1 when it comes to trading in Africa and the volume gap it has with other country is unbelievable. So I strongly believe cointelegram's informations are accurate.

I think there should be no ads unless you are advertising something directly related to the thread's subject.
I think it is a sleazy thing (my personal opinion), besides the fact that ads make the thread looks awful.

Exactly that's my point, if this practice of allowing ads get welcome more often, users will turn to thread to start advertising and the main purpose of producing quality and content heavy thread will mostly be to get privileges of renting an advert space at the top of their threads. And if the practice is to continue then a restriction to only allow advertising something related to the thread should be implemented. e.g it makes no sense lets say I open a thread to read about mining bitcoin and I get welcomed by some shitproject or coin advert.

  • Set clear goals. Why are you investing? Do you believe in the technology of blockchain? Just for pure speculation? Set clear goals of prices to enter and prices to exit and what % you can afford to lose to avoid further losses.

I found this most interesting as many new users joining the industry terms to get influence easily I terms of investing in coin/tokens they depends on others to know when to buy or to sell also they get easily confused on decisions to make as they don't have clear goals and just want to go with the flow. The setting of clear goals helps alot. One of those goals I set for myself in 2019 was to invest only in bitcoin bought the dip and so far the result have been positive.

Some of those clear goals you can set for yourself is deciding if you'll invest in;
  • Only bitcoin. [must advisable]
  • Only alternative Currencys
  • Only Tokens
  • Alt-tokens and altcoins or all of the above

I'm still within reach buddy, like I said before don't make it a priority if not you'll miss the main purpose of this forum. I evny you guys but I don't say that often. You guys have a board were you can hangout, discuss issue affecting your kinds and render assistance in terms of knowledgeable idea to help each meanwhile my country man are lost in the forum. Tried bring them together through a handout thread (wasn't successful). But they prefer hiding under anonymous to avoid falling victim of abuse for the clean ones and others for their selfish agenda.

Do you have any idea where Mr. Brainboss is passing the baton now?

I don't either, if you do find let me know. I'm just lost on the forum, tried making the beginner and help board my home but this days discussion there aren't that interesting anymore for me to render some help from the few lessons i have learnt on and off forum. Don't have anywhere I'm pressing a baton just surfing through forum reading useful thread and reporting shitposts as I come across them while I wait for my application to be accepted so I can offer my services to the forum because it has been very helpful to me.

Congratulations buddy on your achievement and i love what you're doing with the charity project you started. Keep up your good works.

7346  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is upbit safe? on: April 15, 2019, 11:41:15 AM
Anyone have reviews of upbit?  Is it safe?

When it comes to reviews of exchange I don't usually trust them since they can be bought and easily manipulate at first by disguising themselves as legit exchanges, get some good reputation online then start defrauding their customers or extorting them with unnecessary large amount of fees. I found something interesting about Upbit happened just 3months ago, it might be true or false but I'm of the "school of thought"  that behind every rumor there's a truth. Therefore I won't ok the exchange but it's just my opinion. You can research further to decide if you're ok with the exchange.

7347  Other / Serious discussion / Life boils down to four bottles. on: April 15, 2019, 11:19:56 AM

At some stage in your life, you just have to rely on bottles to take away your pains that's just the truth, not speaking directly about alcohol this time, but that's what most people use. The image above says it all, I don't have to interpret them one after the other. It's quite interesting watching yourself grow into the person you always wanted to be but again life always has a way of playing it's own trick.

Some people say the cause of the 4th bottle in life is sickness but I say a major contributor is a JOB {journey of borrowing). A close friend of mine is just 8 & the half months into his current job and I have already made used of the (4th) bottle twice already. I feel pity for him but again that's just life happening. Life is too short to live in regret that's why I encourage people to always watch themselves, which bottle are you on?.
7348  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Only 10 platforms are credible on: April 15, 2019, 08:51:57 AM
What about coinbase and not coinbase pro?

Coinbase pro is the advance trading exchange with more features for coinbase so don't see any need listing the two. OP you list all centralized exchange calling them credible while disregarding the decentralized exchange which are the main focus of the technology been discussed (blockchain). What were the criteria for choosing thesw exchange, was it just based on volume and how popular they're because that's all i can see from your list. Sure you listed some credible exchange but not all on the list should be classified as credible.
7349  Other / Meta / Re: Thread got deleted without any reason!!!!!HELP on: April 15, 2019, 05:32:18 AM
Threads just don't get deleted unless they have voliated some rules and most times moderators get to know about those thread due to it been reported. Don't think you will get any respond as they don't owe you any explanation, they're just doing their job. Beside how will you know the mod that deleted the thread to get a reason why he did such.

Since you already know we have a  previous thread on that subject and duplicated threads aren't welcome on forum your best option now will be to contact OP of the previous thread since both the OP and thread are active and request he update the thread with the new information you have (giving you credit). Or simply reply his thread with your update and if OP is satisfied with it, he might update his thread while giving you credits.

Don't think any moderator will approve of, having similar active thread on the same board even if the mod you contacted gives approval other mods (if they come across it) might delete your new thread if it gets reported for duplicated thread.
7350  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion]Number of deleted posts in a thread. on: April 14, 2019, 08:25:29 PM
It's a good idea, i think it could be useful in identifying threads where bumping services have been used before and later on the posts of the bumpers are deleted

Then what? After identifying those post what will be the used, report them to be locked or what.

Sorry OP I don't get the usefulness of the suggestion clear me please, what'll be the usefulness of the stats although it can be easily manipulated just like others have said.
7351  Other / Meta / Shouldn't this act be discourage? on: April 14, 2019, 08:09:58 PM
Considering the forum has already done her best by giving interested members an opportunity to earn by advertising for projects through avatar, personal profile message and signatures. what's your stand on forum users offering an advert space on their started threads. Should such practice be welcomed or discourage. A popular example can be found here; Overview of Bounty Managers I think such practice should be strongly frown against before;
  • 1, it becomes a trends and other users engage in creating rating threads they know will draw attention just to offer an advert space at the top of their thread.
  • 2. Gets abuse in respect to listing scam projects on those thread.

I'm speaking directly about paid advert not links to you thread or something relating to that been pinned for easy access to interested members.
7352  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will Governments Ever Accept Blockchain-Based Cryptocurrencies? on: April 14, 2019, 04:23:49 PM
If the government of any nation were to accept any blockchain based cryptocurrency I don't think they would be interested in any of the current ones, bitcoin especially won't be an option. The government are showing some positive sign toward utilizing the potential blockchain technology has to offer but when it involves cryptocurrency I'm not seeing much interest. If the government were accept a blockchain based cryptocurrency I'm sure it would be the one they developed themselves with some centralized features like XRP and EOS. The government always have this hunger for power and control, them accepting decentralized cryptocurrency would go against all they stand for "control freaks".
7353  Other / Meta / Re: The rise of the frock puppets. on: April 14, 2019, 04:40:33 AM
Also when you try opposing their criticism of the forum stating clearly the systems are working (might not be perfect but they're working) immediate you get picked on & attacked either through some abusive words or they go leave a negative feedback with other alt account on your profit abusing the same system they claim they're victims of.

I'm just glad we have the DT system in the trust system, just imagine how castatrophic the system would had been if all feedbacks affected the results of your trust score. This guys would had just abuse the system when ever you oppose them leaving false feedback just to destroy your reputation on forum. Thank goodness for the DT system.
7354  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [GUIDE] How to place stop loss sell order. on: April 14, 2019, 03:15:43 AM
For those guys appreciating OP but saying they don't use stop loss/limit because they prefer buying and hodling seems you guys are confusing yourself, first you're on a trading board, secondly hodling isn't trading don't confuse the two. Stop loss aren't bad, they help reduce much losses although when using such advance trading option you should know you're likely to be a victim of the crypto whale selfish act of crashing the price of that particular coin to take advantage of stop loss order. A popular case happen on binance exchange, crashing a particular coin (can't remember the name though) and there's every possibility of that happening again in future. Personally, I  don't use the feature but it isn't that bad.
7355  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to refund on: April 13, 2019, 05:44:14 PM
Bitcoin transaction aren't reversible. Sorry buddy, you have been scammed. Anybody can get a good pics of any car of their choice from the web and claim they have those cars in their possession. Next time don't make a business deal just because you see good pics of the goods you intend buying. As far the "suppose seller" have disconnected all communication with you. It's a scam therefore getting a refund won't be possible and bitcoin can't be refunded unless the receiver is willing to partake in that process

Although out of curiosity, when you say online what do you mean, social media or website, what's the name? also can you drop the transaction ID to the paid btc maybe the address can be traced (not guaranteed though)
7356  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Facts} Benefits of promoting (joining) a quality paid signature campaign. on: April 13, 2019, 03:58:52 AM
Difficult to comprehend sir, how will you relate this:

To make my point clear, a "get quick rich scheme" are not something you earn or deserve as a result of your efforts (hardwork) they're things gotten by either scamming or luck e.g Ponzi,MLM scheme & gambling. Those managers you speak about have put in some works, you think it's easy managing 2-5 active campaigns reviewing over minimum 600posts, some do 1500+ posts weekly. Beside those things you think are big money (based on the nature of your country's economy) are pocket change in other nations. Don't forget this payout comes in batches that means you're likely to have spend this weeks earning before you received next weeka earning, that's why I said the forum won't make you rich, yes it can assist you with pocket income but if anyone joined forum to get rich quick they're in the wrong forum.
7357  Other / Meta / Re: Is Merit Requirement Per Rank Excessive? on: April 13, 2019, 03:07:29 AM
The less easier it's to rank up the more the forum ranks status are appreciated. The less easier it's to build up an alt account to abuse signature and other forum system. For a start we don't need more legendary members, that rank should come with some respect and only deserving member should achieve that status that'll motivate Aspiring members to improve in their contribution to the forum if they want to be identify with that status. Personally I don't see any difference between the legendary rank & hero rank. If the system can produce lesser rank up users yearly then people will value the system. We have 365 days lets say deserving members recieve at least 1 merit daily a situation where we have more less rank-up users would be fun to watch especially in the top 3 ranks.

Also maybe your contribution to combating spam (via good reports) should be considered too before you're given a legendary status, lets put some respect on it.
7358  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit abuse on: April 13, 2019, 01:49:10 AM
Now this was what I was against when I stated clearly on your previous post, I knew it'll result to something of this nature, you going around picking useless reason to fight the system. The system that waa introduced to combat the spamming nature of the forum and from present stats so far it has work perfectly.
If a post isn't a spam, above average and it was written to the benefits of the forum members, it doesn't matter if it's a question or answer it's worth some merit and the amount totally depends on the sender. Just an advice "again" this thing you're developing your account into won't help in anyway and it'll just be a waste of time.

PS: Deserving questions are going unrewarded so when one gets merited that shouldn't be an issue
7359  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Facts} Benefits of promoting (joining) a quality paid signature campaign. on: April 12, 2019, 08:14:51 PM
Actually, many will stand against me on this; Satoshi aim and purpose for the forum was not meant to be use for paid signature campaign but Bitcoiners has turn it to be a venue for "get quick rich"(in bold).

Point of correction, Paid signature is never a get rich quick scheme as it can never make you rich in the first place. Sure it can give you some pocket money but relaying on it as a source to become rich is far worst than thinking bitcoincash is the "Real" bitcoin. Satoshi never intended the forum to be used for altcoin either that's why he called it bitcointalk not cryptocurrencytalk but again here we are. The forum have evolve and the admin is doing a great job adjusting the forum to fit recent developments in the industry and 21st century socal media features which involves leveraging platforms for some side income.

There's nothing wrong in participating in a signature campaign as far you do it right that's why I try my best to educate forum users on doing it the right way for the right reason. Signature is one of the major contributor to spamming and doing it right can also help in the fight against spam.
7360  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you want to help the forum? on: April 12, 2019, 02:31:49 PM
It's a great idea considering those old posts were shitposts mostly worthless i.e they didn't add any value as of posting although for the average post which aren't "technically spams" I don't advice you delete those. If a meriter comes across such posts in future it might earn you some merit (personally I have merited such posts) or help a user in need.

OP I understand your point of view that it benefits the forum and reduces the workload of moderators if you delete your worthless old posts yourself instead of letting it get reported for deletion. As humans we can't always produce quality and sometimes the topics you read will result to you leaving worthless reply and it's kinda a good practice to clean yourself when you have the chance to.

Although when it comes to topics deletion that isn't possible. There are few topics I started as a newbie that i would had love to delete too but instead I just edited and it's still in my posts history.
