7381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Michael Saylor owns 0,5% of Bitcoin Supply on: June 22, 2021, 04:50:00 PM
Well, here is the big problem of Bitcoin from my view, 90% of all Bitcoins are owned by just 1% of the wallets created, this mean that if people buy today they are just doing the rich richer, i know that here we have some of the Bitcoin holders since 2013 but that doesn't change the real problem, Bitcoin is a millonaries game right now, retail investors can't do a shit about that.

It's not true that 90% of all Bitcoin is held by just 1% of wallets, and Michael Saylor is not holding those Bitcoins himself, but he is only CEO of MicroStrategy company that really holds that 100,000 Bitcoins.
Lot of those big wallets you see on richlist are held by centralized exchanges, and many people sadly are still keeping their coins on exchanges, millions of coins are lost forever.

What's the alternative though? Investing in altcoins from which 99% are pure garbage and most likely end up with the loss due not selling on time?
Yeah, that is very popular activity and you can brag to your kids and grandkids how you owned millions of somethings once upon a time, and you can do the same with inflated fiat paper currencies.
I have few of them myself with lot of zeros. Smiley
7382  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger fake device Warning! on: June 22, 2021, 04:08:23 PM
Kraken Security Labs team has rebuilt this attack to show how it works, using new Ledger Nano X and small USB-stick implant they later connected to the original board.
They also did some ''improvements'' unlike attackers that removed oscillator component, Kraken Labs left this compnent and Ledger was connecting like normal wallet with bluetooth.
USB stick was placed below display and from outside you could not recognize that anything is wrong with this device, until you connect it to computer and see it is USB stick.
Opening fake app would show windows for entering seed words that would later be sent to attackers.

7383  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Tips Experiences With Renouncing US Citizenship on: June 22, 2021, 02:00:58 PM
United States are looking more and more like China or Soviet Union so no wonder more people are escaping, and I recently heard that cheapest new citizenship is from Paraguay, South America, there are low or no taxes on Bitcoin, and I heard that lot of people are moving to Nicaragua and purchasing land there.
We also have an example of Roger Ver who renounced his US citizenship in 2014, after serving ten months jail time and I think he now has passport of Saint Kitts and Nevis, from Caribbean.
When doing something like this it is very important to look for Bitcoin, crypto and tax regulations.

Kako zanemario? Pa, jučer sam ju ažurirao. Nisam ja kriv što nema novih kampanja. Hahaha!
Ali, istina. Malo me uhvatilo 'vrime od fjake'.  Tongue

7385  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: June 22, 2021, 09:34:43 AM
Nova Kampanja: [OPEN]BETJA Signature Campaign | Hero/Legendary only ($50 Per Week)
Menadžer: Little Mouse
Tko može sudjelovati: Hero/Legendary (10 članova)
Plaćanje: $50 tjedno
Pravila: Najmanje 20 postova tjedno, 5 postova u Gambling, najmanje 5 merita u prethodnih 120 dana.

Mislim da trenutno imaju još 3 slobodna slota, ali sumnjam da ova kampanja može duže potrajati.

Games & Rounds, Off topic, Lending, Auctions, Politics & Society, Archival, Beginners and help, local boards will not be count.
7386  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Zbirni topic za davanje merita za kvalitetne postove on: June 22, 2021, 09:26:25 AM

7387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A variant on the Internet failure question. on: June 21, 2021, 04:37:46 PM
I don't believe that the Internet will suffer a world-wide failure for any length of time. What could be a possibility id that it splits in two. Perhaps Russia and China will control one with restricted access, and the five eyes will operate another. If there is no possibility of communication between the two, and miners continue to operate on both nets ( but not the same miners). Then this could create two blockchains. How would "they" handle a reconciliation? Would existing owners end up with coins on both chains, as I can't see a way of merging the chains?
This is real possibility and Russia has been preparing for this internet split scenario with moving lot of servers in their country, they already have their own social networks and search engine,
same thing applies for China that is gone few steps ahead in that direction, and they are even spreading their CBDC coin that may be the reason they did coordinated ban on Bitcoin.
If each country have their own separate Bitcoin chains that would mean that all other financial systems will be separate, without credit cards, paypal and other services working globally.

As we are talking about internet shutdown, that should also not be excluded at least temporary for few days or weeks, especially FEMA released this news for nationwide emergency alert scheduled for August 11th
with messages sent to all TVs and Radios, including cell phones that opted-in to receive them:

7388  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Peer-to-Peer Ad Network Powered by Bitcoin and Stacks on: June 21, 2021, 04:19:27 PM
You can go to btc.us to purchase the decentralized domains and get more info.
This looks like a great deal to purchase domain for $5 valid for five years, if regular websites can also work with that domain.

Thank you for detailed explanation about auditors and screen operators, last question I would ask if this service is available in all countries or there are some restriction?
7389  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Wallet help on: June 21, 2021, 03:35:06 PM
1. Since I cannot send my AAVE, Band, Polygon, etc to Trezor what other hardware wallet should I look into? Should I go with the ledger wallet? I really don't want to, lol
I would not waste my time with bunch of those coins but both Trezor and Ledger are supporting erc20 tokens like Aave and you can probably connect hardware wallets with Metamask and store this tokens there.

2. Is there a way on Trezor's user interface you where you can see all the coins you've transferred there WITHOUT going into separate wallets? Since I'm hodling, my fear is forgetting about some of my coins (I know that sounds kinda irresponsible).
Using Trezor Suite with your hardware wallet you will see all coins you own in your account and you can have multiple accounts created and you do need to enable coins in settings.
Best way is to keep separate portfolio app and reduce the number of coins you hold.

3. Why is it that google gives you a list of the 1600 coins, but you can't see most of them on Trezor's actual site?? On the site, you can only see about 16 coins listed; If anywhere they should be listed there. The site doesnt even have a way to search for other coins...
Most of those 1600+ coins are erc20 tokens, and you can easily search all supported coins on their website, and similar thing is for ledger hardware wallet:

7390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Test for free our new futures exchange, and get paid bitcoin! on: June 21, 2021, 03:11:35 PM
Fixing that is top priority right now. It may take a few days but I'll let you all know once it is done.
I also noticed that when I log in after some time my dark them is all messed up and it is half light and half dark.
Like I said before, many people don't have a clue what they are doing with futures trading so making good tutorial and instructions is must have feature for your website.

I'm afraid we may let you down with our privacy commitments, though. While ideologically we are totally in favor of private transactions, for several reasons we don't want people to use our exchange to mix bitcoins. We may actually do the very opposite and publish all transaction data allowing anyone to link withdraw and deposit transactions, so that in some sense your account is just like a set of public addresses in the blockchain. By doing so we can counter the argument used by governments that exchanges either have to require KYC identification from all users or else they are complicit in money laundering.
I understand that and I don't expect total privacy and private transactions on public blockchain like Bitcoin, but I don't think that publishing all withdraw and deposit transactions will help you with US regulators.
They want strict regulations connected with identity of the person and their documentation, so even some dex exchanges have issues with them.
7391  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Peer-to-Peer Ad Network Powered by Bitcoin and Stacks on: June 21, 2021, 02:54:43 PM
These domain names are decentralized and work on top of Bitcoin. So yes, its sort of an alternative DNS + the decentralization of Bitcoin.
Ok that is interesting.
How and where can people purchase this domains and see more information about them?

There is something called the auditing process that is conducted by two kinds of people and machines (what we call social oracles).
This is where I see potential problem, because youtube and google is also using machines and their algorithms to censor everything they don't like, and machines are programed by humans.
People on the other hand can be influenced with money and I don't know who will audit the auditers.

If a screen operator decides not to take your ad, you get your money back and free auditing the next time, because we want you to place the ad. You can then, either change the copy, raise the price, target a different area, etc.
Who exactly are screen operators, your business partners maybe? And how easy can someone become screen operator?

7393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best way to stor eth in the Trezor wallet? on: June 20, 2021, 06:29:15 PM
I am trying to transfer Ethereum from my Coinbase account to my Trezor wallet. When I select Ethereum, it asks me to select a wallet. The choices are Trezor's Ethereum wallet, Trezor Suite, MyEther Wallet, and MyCrypto. My first mind is to select Trezor's wallet, but when I go there, it says something about Beta testing, and that there could be bugs/glitches, etc...Is this a safe option in terms of storing my eth? Should I select a wallet that's beyond the experiemental/beta testing phase? Are there any risks? Which is the best option?
Trezor Suite software is open source, it is soon coming out of beta, I think probably like they announced in next month, and it is working perfectly even now without any glitches.
You can also connect Trezor with Metamask but I don't like that wallet and I think you can only use it with Firefox browser now, and latest version of Chrome is not working at least for Ledger wallet.
Alyways try to use Open Source and tested wallet.
7394  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Peer-to-Peer Ad Network Powered by Bitcoin and Stacks on: June 20, 2021, 04:13:53 PM
We have registered uncensorable domains (see https://btc.us) to offer publicity to people in "hard" areas. We have registered marketing.btc, publicity.btc, classifieds.btc, ads.btc and several more.
There is no such thing as uncensorable domains in todays world, except if they are using some alternative internet and some decentralized solution.
Governments can always block access to those domains, and they can close them if they want, not to mention that your platform have single point of failure if I can access it only from website, and same thing can be said for those tokens.
Bitcoin have open source software wallets that can't be shutdown like that, and any solution that want's to avoid censorship should have something similar.

Let's say you live in Iran and want to runs somewhat revolutionary ads for women's rights - we believe that we have created the best platform for this.
We don't have to go to Iran, let's say I live in United States, Canada or UK and I want to publish what some medical experts and Nobel prize winners are really saying about new vaccines and their harmful effects, and they are banned to speak on twitter, facebook, youtube and anywhere else on main stream media.
If I want to publish my ads about that, do you think your platform will allow that or not?

7395  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost phone & Google Authnetication on: June 20, 2021, 04:02:01 PM
Does anyone know how to be able to send bitcoin without google verification? How to get past google verification? A different way to authenticate without having access to my phone & google authentication? Or Electrum customer service email or phone number? How can I use/send the bitcoins in my wallet or get my cash back, a refund?
You should already have backup of your electrum on paper or in digital form, and that can be private key or backup phrase.
Importing that into new Electrum wallet installed on your computer, or in other phone will restore your wallets just fine and you will be able to send and receive BTC.

Will I be able to receive the google authentication code on a new phone even if the phone number is the same?
You should also have backup of google 2fa codes using apps like Aegis or and OTP, but you should NEVER connect that with your phone number, it's a big security risk.
Restoring of your codes can be done on any device including your computer not connected with phone number.

Avoid doing any business with OP and don't trust him because he is probably harvesting and collecting documents, and he is new account registered today in forum.
7397  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Peer-to-Peer Ad Network Powered by Bitcoin and Stacks on: June 20, 2021, 02:43:41 PM
We anticipate people living under regimes of hard censorship to use the platform without any personal identificaction data.
What happens in case this regimes or governments shut down your website or terminate your domain? How can people access they funds?
Censorship is increasing every day even is so called ''western democratic'' world that is not really so democratic if you are not blindly following some mainstream bigtech narrative.

Let me add another point. I am highly confortable changing this distribution, taking votes and letting the community guides the token distribution as much as reality allows. So, within reason, we are willing to entertain a conversation with the community to make this as attractive as it can possibly be to future network members - I really mean this.
According to your website, foundation team will hold 10% and I don't even know how much is total supply, but I don't understand how will you distribute them if there is no premine?
Maybe ten percent isn't big amount, but you will also have 20% in total for investors, campaigns, reserves and grants for developers.
It would be good f you can clarify this please.

7398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Test for free our new futures exchange, and get paid bitcoin! on: June 20, 2021, 02:30:53 PM
I think you are right! No one cares about our potential tokens right now. But I must say that our tokens have actually nearly a 100% chance of being listed, because we are going to list it ourselves even if no one else will!
On what exchanges are you planning to list your token?
I guess if this token would have some real utility on your website than it would be ok, but most of the tokens we see in market are totally useless so I am always a bit skeptical about them, but thanks for sending some btc Wink

Yeah, we are only going to accept real bitcoin once things are running for quite a while with no problems. Also, we'll be using testnet bitcoins to test our safety protocols. Current we have an HD wallet in which only the master public key is in the servers to generate addresses to deposit, but we are working on making the HD wallet a hot wallet so that it can move funds in real time to our multisig cold storage.
I just deposited around 13.7 testnet mBTC in my account, and my suggestion is to add optional generating of new addresses each time I am sending new deposit.
It is much better for privacy, instead of reusing same address but I am not sure how complicated implementation of this feature is going to be for you.
Think about adding Lightning Network or other options when fees are high on Bitcoin mainnet.

Regarding your technical issue, I believe we were just updating the system the moment you tried. Can you try again and tell us if the problem persists?
It's working fine now, but I also had automatic logging-off from website like other members reported earielr.
Before placing BUY or SELL order we should be able to manually enter liquidation price, and order should stay in open orders until it's closed, and I would also add Profit and Loss section in left side.
One more suggestion I have is to add 2FA to improve account security.
7399  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Encrypting and signing with Trezor on: June 20, 2021, 01:29:12 PM
Is there any program to encrypt messages/files and sign/verify messages on Windows with a Trezor one?

You can sign and verify messages with Trezor hardware wallet using their web wallet wallet.trezor.io and same functionality is in the roadmap for Trezor Suite software, planned for September 8th.
Open your wallet and your Bitcoin address, then navigate to Sign & Verfiy tab on top, and you will see fields for entering your message, signature and address.
If verifying message was good you should receive Message verified on your computer screen.

7400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption In Paraguay Next Month, the domino effect is unstoppable on: June 19, 2021, 01:20:14 PM
I went about 4 years ago to Paraguay.. there is a restaurant there that time they accepted the payment with Bitcoin.. dont know if they are accepting nowadays.
if countries legally accept BTC. Then maybe the next time will be the real uptrend

People from Europe and other parts of the world will seriously start to think about moving to South America and Paraguay and not just because of Bitcoin but in general because of lack of freedom.
There is still no tax for Bitcoin in Paraguay and it's very cheap to buy their citizenship and get a new passport from Paraguay.
If I had to choose one country in South America for living  it would probably be Urugay that is not so far from Paraguay, but I hear many anarchists are also moving to Nicaragua.
