7381  Other / Meta / Re: Checking every single bitcointalk profile which has 1-2 merit. Shouldn't we? on: September 17, 2018, 10:57:11 PM
Yeah, today I also noticed so many users who got 1 Merit soon after new restrictions were imposed. It's not surprising.
It's just 1 Merit - it's almost impossible to prove Merit abuse in such cases. They will just get their Jr. Member rank back and nobody will notice it.
I'm happy about these new rank requirements, but it's also great news for Merit sellers.
7382  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Welcome to the Bitcointalk on: September 17, 2018, 10:32:09 PM
Good job, OP. But I think that we already have something similar made by Lauda long time ago. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0
The problem that mostly newbies just don't read these stickies. Probably they don't care about it, they are laze or they just don't know about these sticked topics.
I think it would be great to display such general information when new user sign up. Yeah, mostly people still will ignore this information, but maybe at least some of them will read it. And it already would be positive impact.
7383  Other / Meta / Re: Enhanced newbie restrictions & requirements on: September 17, 2018, 11:11:24 AM
I think all we can do now is beg for merit...  Undecided

...and appear on ignore lists and never get Merit Cheesy
7384  Other / Meta / Re: Can We Have A Thread Dedicated For Newbie Account Review for Merits? on: September 17, 2018, 10:48:43 AM
There was some Merit giveaway threads started by Merit sources and other users. If these threads are still active, Newbies can apply there for a review.
Admins and mods wont review it, they have more important things to do. And FYI, Merit, same like trust system are left to community and it's not moderated.
And as I said on other thread - I think that genuine Newbies will not face difficulties to get Merit, I don't think that review threads are needed. Now theymos added more Merit sources, sk I think it will be a bit easier to get Merit.
7385  Other / Meta / Re: if I were a join two years ago I was membem but now I'm newbie this is not fair. on: September 17, 2018, 10:37:31 AM
What if...
Dude, you have 249 activity and 0 Merit. Do you think that you deserved to get higher rank? Half of your posts are just bounty reports, others - one liners in megathreads. All these restrictions were imposed exactly because of people like you. There are uncontrolled amount of spam made by Newbies and Juniors and something had to be done to stop it. Now if you want to earn money on Bitcointalk you should put at least some effort into your posts. I don't think that these restrictions will cause difficulties for genuine users.
7386  Other / Meta / Re: Enhanced newbie restrictions & requirements on: September 17, 2018, 10:22:54 AM
Wow, just want to say thank you theymos. I really didn't expected that you will implement these restrictions
It's fun to see all these demoted noobs who came here to complain. They even started a petition https://www.change.org/p/amins-bitcointalk-com-bitcointalk-com-say-no-to-new-restrictions?recruiter=582167975&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink&utm_campaign=share_petition. They really believe that online petition can change something on private forum lol? Cheesy Now we really can say that Merit ruins lives Cheesy
I think that if you're good or average poster - 1 merit to become Junior is nothing. It will be interesting how the restrictions will improve forum in long term.
sMerits should have lifetime to giveout.
I know many people who does have sMerits but doesnt distrubute them.
You're, many people haven't spent any of their sMerit. But I don't think that we should force them to spend their Merit. I think it also may increase Merit abuse.
7387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool £25 in btc to join on: September 17, 2018, 09:21:09 AM
I also sent 0.005 BTC.
Yeah, I'm also wondering why there aren't so many players signed as on Premier league pool. Game with more players is much more interesting, but now there are bigger chance to win Cheesy. Based on number of participants I suppose that TOP 3 players will get prize, I'm right?
7388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: September 17, 2018, 09:15:37 AM
Hamilton won Singapore GP easily. I think it can be one of crucial races in this season. Now he 40 points ahead of Vettel and only 6 races remain.
Ferarri just screwed up with their strategy again. I have no idea why they selected ultrasoft tyres for Vettel on pitstop, he had no chances to win with these tyres.
And wtf Perez were doing - first he pushed Occon of the track and later he unbeleavable stupid colided with Sirotkin. I think he had to get black flag or 1 race ban at least.
7389  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk.org YouTube channel? on: September 16, 2018, 03:35:36 PM
Given the number of threads in Meta over the last few days/weeks/months complaining about the state of the forum, the ridiculous levels of bounty spam, asking for more mods and suggesting about 100 other ideas for improvement, would it not be wise to focus on the forum first before taking on a new project?
Can't say better than you. @theymos, you simply rejected many ideas how to improve forum and solve existing problems without stating any reasons why it's not a good idea and now you're just planning to create new project?
You can give some of forum money to creator of video, but why you can't hire full-time dev to work on new forum software for example or appoint more mods?
Maybe it's not bad idea to start Bitcointalk Youtube channel (well, it sounds strange - Youtube channel of forum), but not right now. Starting a new projects when we have so many problems sounds stupid. I think things like Youtube channel, reporter badges and other possible fancy additions to Bitcointalk are not really neccessary right now. All these problems like spamming, copy pasting, ann bumping, recovery of hacked accounts should be solved first of all.

At last I have my account unfrozen.

But after logging in my account only have 0.003 BTC which mexicantarget tipped back to my account that's why I double check my email on how much was tipped back to me and it is only 0.003 BTC which should be 0.03 BTC ( http://prntscr.com/klfjyu )

here's a screenshot of the email from FH support:
http://prntscr.com/kuwh2n

It might be an typo error on mex, but I hope to get the rest of my funds back.
Now after your account was unfrozen I suggest to FH support system to solve your problem. Mexicantarget rarely checking this thread.

7392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: September 15, 2018, 10:32:34 PM
Short summary of todays matches. Atletico continue to drop points, this time they played 1:1 with Eibar. And this isn't worst possible result for Atleti because they scored equalizing goal on 94th minute. Now they 7 points behind Barca only after 4 matches.
Barca had typical difficult match at Anoeta. They were loosing 1:0, but in the middle of 2nd half Suarez and Dembele scored. Ter Stegen made some great saves again. Barca remain only team in La Liga with perfect score so far.
Real played with Athletic 1:1. It was really good game to watch and I think that 1:1 is fair score, Athletic deserved to get 1 point at least.
7393  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 14-Sep-2018] on: September 15, 2018, 08:27:16 PM
PRiVCY signature campaign is still running.  5 More weeks.
This thread is just for Bitcoin paying signature campaigns. Bounties which are paying in altcoins/tokens aren't listed here.
7394  Other / Meta / Re: Account Recovery -Junior Member Status Required? on: September 15, 2018, 07:36:14 PM
Rank of your alt account doesn't matter in this case. It's just a sad reality of Bitcointalk that almost all account recovery related messages are ignored by admins and your story isn't exception. theymos said that he aren't recovering accounts anymore. Don't know about Cyrus, but I haven't heard about successful account recovery cases in recent 10 months maybe.
theymos is working to make automated account recovery system, but I have no idea when it will be finnished. So, people who lost their accounts now are forced to wait in frustration
7395  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What keeps you here, why? on: September 15, 2018, 05:41:04 PM
I won't try to hide something - one of the reasons why I joined Bitcoin world is money. Few years ago I was looking how to make extra money online. And Bitcoin helped me a lot and gave me huge opportunities. Now I can earn decent money in Bitcoin by monetizing my personal website, promoting faucet ref links, trading and etc.
But it's not only one reason. Then I didn't wanted to keep all my money in banks, I wanted to get a bit independence. And also I believed that Bitcoin is future.
Now I still believe that Bitcoin (and crypto in general) is future, so I don't see any reasons to leave. Yeah, there is bear market in recent months, but I don't care because I'm hodler Smiley
7396  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Nano S or Kasse Hardware wallet on: September 14, 2018, 11:27:11 PM
It's more common when people ask which wallet to choose : Ledger Nano S or Trezor. Well, it's the first time when I hear name of Kasse, seems that's a new player in hardware wallet market. As you see, almost all people here suggest to buy Ledger. I agree with their opinion, why to look for alternatives when there are top line product in the market.
I don't know anything about Kasse, I can't say it's good or bad wallet. And there aren't many reviews on internet about this wallet. I think it would be better to wait before buying this wallet until this company will establish in the market. When it will happen? Don't know, I saw some more new hardware wallet companies starting their business in recent year, but they didn't become popular because Ledger and Trezor have very strong positions in the market.
7397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cloudbet's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 14, 2018, 07:22:21 PM
I just put my predictions for this week and I see 8 or more persons have not made any predictions so hopefully they see this post and start posting their predictions too. It would not be fun if some persons forget to post their pics for one week as this tournament is too close until now.
Thanks for reminder, maybe not all guys here aware that international break has ended and club football returns. Well, I didn't forgot about it, usually I'm puting my predictions just few hours (or few minutes Cheesy) before kick-off of first match.
For me it's very difficult to pick result of Tottenham - Liverpool and Watford - MU matches, I still didn't decided who are going to win it.
7398  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ICO signature or signature for bitcoins? on: September 14, 2018, 10:56:38 AM
This question is without straight answer. When you join Bitcoin paying signature campaign you know how much you will earn because their payment rates are fixed. There are long term, high paying signature campaigns like Chipmixer and many short term campaigns with low and average payment rates which runs only for few weeks or months. Also, Bitcoin paying campaigns have bigger requirements for participants - good post quality, Merit and etc.
It's more difficult to determine profit from ICO signature bounty. It depends on many factors like success of ICO, number of participants, number of tokens allocated to bounty. It's more risky to join bounties because you don't know how much you will earn. I suppose that sometimes you can earn better money than from Bitcoin paying campaigns, but in more cases you will earn peanuts only or will be scammed at all after months of participation.
7399  Other / Meta / Re: What is the protocol if theymos won't reply regarding and account suspension? on: September 14, 2018, 10:33:28 AM
was suspended
Means banned? There are 4 kind of bans AFAIK.
3 days
7 days
30 days
Permanent

Which one do you have? If this is a permanent one then forget about it. You can not even use this account (except meta board) too because of the following rule...
Read bellow part of OP comment - as moderator explained him, their account was nuked.
I don't know what you did wrong exactly, but as TryNinja said, it's very unlikely that account will be restored. Mods aren't nuking accounts without any reasons usually. And you have to be very lucky to get reply from theymos, he have more important things to do.
7400  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to add Images and Banners in Bitcointalk.org on: September 14, 2018, 10:11:52 AM
You will achieve that in 2weeks with 3 posts per day, you need 100merits though before you can become a sn member.
No, 100 merits is needed to become Full Member, while to become Sr. Member you need to get 250 Merit. And about activity - you can get max 14 activity in two weeks period. So, it's enough to make one post per day to get max activity. Anyway, activity doesn't means much if you don't have Merits earned.
