Guirassy is literally keeping Stuttgart in top places in the standings for now. He has scored more than the half of the number of goals they have scored so far. With Pep noticing the importance of these players and how their absence can seriously affect the teams performance, he is a smart man and will not want to remain limited to them, so that if there is another time like this this season in all the competitions they play were they have to be without Rodri, that their team will still be able to maintain their high performance. This two losses in the premier league does not mean that they cannot still go on to win the premier league again, it just shows that they are not very strong this season. The excitement and competition started when Leverkusen stayed unbeaten after five game, they kept climbing up the table without dropping a single point and Munich which used to be the fierce team in bundesliga was almost looking like they would have a tough time contending Leverkusen and it did happened when they drew Leverkusen at their home.
Most likely they may meet again at the finals although Munich is at the third position on the standing and I'm sure they will get better by mid season and get back to contend the top position with Leverkusen and may probably meet at the finals, I'm pessimistic Leverkusen may soon drop point probably with a draw by their next meeting with Wolfsburg as they will be playing away, although Wolfsburg may not seem like a strong team but they will want to share the points as they are home. Xabi should be considered a great coach if he is able to finish second, because he is very young a Coach and it's his first time at the bundesliga.
Elite teams are not in good form this season, having problems meeting up the competitive standards of the bundle. I've this feeling that Bundesliga will be quite different from the ones we've witnessed in previous season. Bayern Munich and Borrusia Dortmund are 3rd and 4th on the table, accompany by Bayer Leverkusen and Stuart sitting 1st and 2nd on the table. Perhaps I hoped for the table to change in mideast because there will be presence of good actions. Bayer Leverkusen are unbeaten this season in 7 bundesliga games. 6W 1D 0L. I give credits to Xabi Alonso for good effort put into the team. Yeah not as expected from the big teams but if you look at difference there isn't much also. It's is about 2-3 points and I think in later stages both Bayern and Dortmund will be able to cover that difference. Leipzig however are behind by quite a bit more margin but I think they will also be able to cover by the end. Leverkusen, Stuttgart, Hoffenheim have been doing really great and I can see competition building up slowly in Bundesliga now. Hopefully we will have a very competitive season in Bundesliga for a change. Interest in the Bundesliga had decreased because it had not been competitive for years. It was seen as a simple league that Bayern Munich always won, whereas Dortmund had many players that it brought to world football. Now there will be 2 or 3 teams that can compete with Bayern Munich and hopefully the championship will be won by a team other than Bayern soon. I agree that Leverkusen was always strong and they were even racing at the top of the table with Bayern Munich and Dortmund but they are much stronger this season with their coach Xabi Alonso. They had a good performance in the last season but Leverkusen didn't have many good players and the team tried to help Xabi by hiring the players he needed, that is why they are in the top side of the Bundesliga because Xabi Alonso was a great advantage for them.
Xabi Alonso success in managing Laverkusen this season has been phenomenal, going seven games unbeaten and topping the Bundesliga standings. I see Bayern Munchen dominance starting to be threatened even though they have better squad depth than Laverkusen, but in terms of strength I think they are quite balanced. The draw in their second meeting in the fourth week is proof of Laverkusen strength this season, just waiting to see how Laverkusen strength will be when facing Dortmund. The Bundesliga standings have become more competitive with Laverkusen consistency in winning points, if this continues their chances of winning a trophy at the end of the season are wide open. Thus, Munchen decade-long dominance was broken by their own former midfielder Xabi Alonso. Dortmund almost did it last season, finishing on the same points but falling behind in the goal statistics. So far in the Bundesliga, we know Bayern Munich has a much better squad than other teams like Dortmund or Leverkusen, and even Stuttgart, but still Bayern Munich couldn't get good results like these teams got so far in Bundesliga games. Stuttgart's performance was amazing so far thanks to their palyer Serhou Guirassy and Leverkusen got a coach like Xabi Alonso who is a great advantage for this team. I agree with that, I believe that it's either one or the other and because of that the odds should show that. I get that ATM is also a good club but I do not think that they have the experience they need to be champions again, they did that recently and that was a good period for them but right now both other teams are doing wonders with amazing new young talent as well.
Atletico Madrid was not expected to compete for La Liga trophy when the season started. But by beating Real Madrid in the Madrid derby, they proved themselves as a strong team, yes they are still strong in this season. So they are competitive enough to compete with Real Madrid and Barcelona for La Liga trophy. I see it is good for La Liga as being more competitive means more attractive and exciting too. With the current conditions, putting Atletico Madrid the same as last season is clearly something wrong because looking at what happened at the beginning of this season it can be said that Atletico Madrid's performance is very good and compared to the previous 2 seasons this is the best start of the season for them. I think this could be a good reference and we can put Atletico as one of the candidates to be a compettor with Barcelona and Madrid.
